Review Cafe Coffee Day - Digholi Pukhuri - Guwahati

Andrew McIntyre
Great place with very good, hot tasty coffee; and ground coffee for sale.. Note it opens at 8am - unlike others. Food was tasty, but bread a little stale/hard. Service was good and friendly. Nice relaxing ambience, very peaceful for working.

Out of all the CCD's, I've found this the best. I'm very particular about cleanliness and this place just hits the spot. Everything is well organised, food is good, service is fast and a cozy place. It is also a conducive and a beautiful location for meetings. As for the hygiene, the bathroom is clean, with all the amenities required. Kudos to the owner for having maintained high standards.

The coffee was served warm, not to my taste, it took a long time to get my coffee But I love the location, the settings aren't bad. You can just sit there peacefully and work

Always a good place to come visit. The vibe remains the same. Red velvet cake was a disaster. But the brownie with ice cream is evergreen.

Nice view with the dighilipukhuri pond. Staffs in there are very humble and polite. It's a nice and cozy place to spend the evening. CCD stand up to it's name even in this outlet too. You can enjoy you evening coffee with a pleasant view of the pond n birds humming..

The place where most teens always thought of growing up and visiting with their GF/BF besides. Same with me. And yeah I did a lot many time. And I have a lot of memories too. I tried mostly their different cold coffees *almost all* and their regular cappuccino as well.
It's a really good place to hang out with friends and dear loved ones with a cup or glass of any coffee and cherish some memories. Snacks are also good tried few good enough. But I'm mostly a caffeine guy.
Surely Recommend.

I really love the place... Its very big compared to other outlets and the order is very fast .... 1 thing I really liked about this outlet is that we get to seat in our own comfort zone.... Its spacious and there are lots of seats available for customers to enjoy our coffee and drinks... The blue lagoon here is the best... The fizzy and the strong one

Cafe coffee day is a place I have been visiting for almost a decade now. Their coffee which is pretty over priced for it's quality. However, I go to CCD everytime I want to be all by myself. I love the Cafe Frappe and Brownie Sunday. Hands down.

The best CCD in town after the one in Anil Plaza. The sitting in the out area is the best part of this CCD. Also the staffs are very friendly and cooperative. The best coffee in town😍

Some delicious and good stuff here. But I do find everything overpriced here. The coffee is good. Devil's Own is my favorite! The other baked stuff is yum too!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the Food
⭐⭐⭐ for the Ambiance
⭐⭐⭐ for the Service
High Priced.
Nashiya Afshan
The ambience is nice but not the food. Plus, they add tax and additional charges. Seriously? Like, no good food and no satisfaction, but pay for sitting and admiring the cafe? Mam, do you want additional choco syrup on top of your cake? Who won't like, mayn? But, do you serve that for free? Additional 50 Rs for that. Mam, you want anything, be it a lil bit of choco syrup, you'll have to pay, blah, blah. C'mon the food already is so expensive, plus you want us to pay more and more, till we get bankrupt? But, in the end, even if the food tastes good, one will find ways to console their crying soul that no matter how much they spent(unnecessarily), the food was worth all the money and they are satisfied. In this case, they can't 'cause even the food tastes horrible. I repeat "horrible". The food at first sight looks quite yummy, but the moment you take a bite, you'd curse yourself for spending a single penny for it.

I find this location of this cafe to be perfect !
Situated just beside a small pond ( digalipukhri )
They have one small seating seating outside ( open area ) & one which is in closed space
CCD - the name says it all
Their service & their coffee can never disappoint a person but the charm of the place is the location specially during the winters.
Swatah Siddha Borkotoky
decent outlet. sitting arrangements are good. however, they didn't have much of the things in the menu. we ordered burgers, to which they replied that burgers havent been available for quite some time. alternatively we ordered tandoori paneer sandwich. we were informed after placing the order and paying for the same that it was not available and we had to adjust with spinach and corn sandwich. we also wanted to order a tropical iceberg to whoch their reply was that it wasn't available. we had to order something else in place.
overall, so-so experience.

This cafe is bright spot in your hectic day to relax and unwind. A place to slow down, sit with your favorite drink on the overstuffed sofa and read something, get a bite to eat, or chat a while..a great place to reunite with friends. I love all the three pastries available pineapple, Dutch truffle and Black forest..Apart from Cappuccino, my favourites are Kaapi Nirvana and Devils Own. Love the seem so healthy Smoky Chicken and Tandoori Chicken Sandwiches!! The best CCD in town owing to the locational advantage. Highly Recommended!

Love the place for the beautiful setting . The ambience outside is really soothing so is the interior. You can just chill and have chilled coffee on a warm sultry day or have some delightful pastries, brownies, sandwiches and coffee on a winter evening. Choice is yours.

Great coffee and ambience . Best thing is the free WiFi they provide. Staff is courteous. Has a small outdoor seating area too on the first level.

A good place to hang out with friends. Although the price is a little bit higher as compared to other cafés around Dighali Pukhuri. But you can always rely on the taste. They provide good quality items. A must visit for me. The sizzle dazzle chocolate brownie has been one of my favorites

The amazing atmosphere, the relaxing chairs outside the place alongwith a beautiful scenery wayside the Dighalipukhuri lake make this CCD a place where a lot can happen over a cup of coffee... A must-visit place...

Haven for coffee lovers all over the world.
Location- near the roadside. Near the bus stop. Convenient
Ambience- very chilling and perfect for hangout. Casual.
Food- it's good. The coffee is good. Usually serves sides but light mains can be available. Not bad.
Value for money- coffee is moderately priced seeing the quantity. The solid food is overpriced no doubt. But obviously going with the brand it has to.
Service- mainly self service.
Salma Nasrin
Ccd- the most loved coffee house and my personal favourite. Staff out there are really nice and welcoming. Though the rates arent pocket friendly still ccd never fails to impress.
Well it's CCD!!! Probably one of the most famous cafes around the country. Sure they say "A lot can happen over coffee", and this place is usually crowded with young couples but in my case however- The first time I went to this place, I went in alone, placed my order, devoured it (without having to share it with someone else, yay!) and paid my own bill(giving me a sense of being a young independent woman! yay again!)
Now coming to the food: I ordered a Devil's Own and a garlic chicken sandwich (all for myself. Bwahahaaaa!!!). Well the Devil's Own really won me over! It had good coffee in it and an abundance of chocolaty goodness. And the sandwich- well it was just a regular sandwich, buy yes it is enough to fill you up for lunch. (Or should I say fill me up). Honestly speaking there isn'tt anything extraordinarily scrumptious about their menu but the setting of the cafe and the environment around it overseeing the Dighali Pukhuri is pretty pleasant. The interiors are great too, so you can really allow yourself to get lost in your thoughts and ruminate about life and stuff (if you are a "loner" like me) or just hang out with your better half and/or friends. It's all cool. But hang on, there's someone that bugs me about this place- yep you got it right! The taxes!!!!!
So would I go back to CCD? Umm...Maybe not. Not because I didn't like it or anything but because I can make killer coffees and sandwiches right at home. (C'mon a little bragging doesn't hurt now, does it?) But you guys go hang out there as long as you are OK with the taxes and stuff. Cheers!

My personal favorite when it comes to coffee , As they say it " A can happen over coffee " . This place is a must-go in the evenings as the location being near Dighalipukhuri adds a charm which can't be compared to any other cafe's in the city. The courteous behaviour of the staff makes you want to visit this place again and again
N.B : The Irish Latte is excellent

Food is okay types. The staff is nice too. The ambience is cool. Last i went there was on friendship day and the cafe was too crowded. Somehow the staff arranged a seat for us. Overall the cafe is good.

found insects in the good.. when we informed them..
They offer us cookies which was not in our menu.. we refused it.. and later have to leave that place

Ahh ! How can i miss this place . This place is famous among the couples . As its says " I can share everything except this coffee " Ccd is always been famous and special for one another !
The new menu that has added is so good and now we actually have some better options to go for it !

Rimzim Lahkar
This my favourite CCD outlet in the city! Located near dighalipukhuri, the best time to visit this place is in the evening. Very happy with their service too. The new menu is also quite interesting! Now you have quite a few choices to choose from, unlike in the earlier years.
Anchal Somani
Such a nice place! The frappes are outstanding. Ambience is quite soothing. The sitting space is very comfy! :) And the waiters are so well trained!

Nicely located.. Average service and ok ok food... Can go for a coffee after walk around the lake.... Nice for a hangout mostly for college students...
Supratik
Nothing spectacular, but the location makes this an ideal place for hangouts. The coffee was good and the egg wrap was nothing spectacular. Liked the brownie though. Fast service.
Madhurima Garodia Saraf
Good coffee, snacks and desserts. Like the devil's own, cafe frappe.
Fast service
Great place to hang out with friends with a good view. They have enough seating space. The coffee is worth the money spent and also quite hygienic and fresh.

Now this was the big momma of wannabedom for village rustics like me when I came to study at Cotton. Slowly but steadily, it became a part of our urban story- that of adaptation, then at home, to bigger cities and swankier cafes and then the proverbial return again.
Spent many a late mornings here after surreptitiously sneaking out of lectures at Cotton and basking in the first flush of freedom that came with the liberty to smoke without anyone giving two hoots about it.

Too attached to this place to give an impartial, clinical, threadbare review. Have spent time with people here: those who went on to become the closest of friends and those, who did not. And then, evenings spent reading letters from my muse. Far away, near at heart. Swirling in the dregs of a cappuccino or the aroma of a Darjeeling tea.

Still, the espresso double shot is as good as it gets, the garlic chicken sandwiches good and also the latte.

Service okayish, great, peaceful ambience.
The only turn off: the loud, very loud, Bhangra and Honey Singh-esque music blaring all the time that makes conversation or even a bit of solitude a tad difficult at times.

Been here with a special someone. Had a great time here. The staff were very friendly and the ambiance was just the way you can ever want. A great time here.

Always the place to laze around with continuous cups of Cafe Americano while you sit outdoors and soak in the view of Dighalipukhuri bang opposite the outlet. The chicken tikka sandwich was quite good. The wife prefers the Hazelnut Latte.

Service is tad slow, but who cares when you are in the mood to idle away time. The staff is courteous.

My ratings;
Food - 3/5
Ambiance - 3.5/5
Service - 2.5/5

The location is very good. But they failed to satisfy their customers and to upgrade their items. They only know to how to loot the customers.
Pranav Goyal
The best thing about this outlet is the location! The inside as well as the outside seating is superb with the view of the pond.
The service is also pretty good but the food needs some better presentation.
The food:
-Chicken Mint Mayo Sub : Almost nil taste of mint or mayo and very average. Some more texture of other elements would help it.
-Garlic Chicken Sandwich : This is still a little better. Decent flavor.
-Garden Veg.Sandwich: below average

Beverages:
-Rasmalai Shake : I don't know why its on the menu! Its okay for fancy
-Oreo Shake : This is pretty good. Good taste of Oreo atleast.

Apart from being in one of the best locations, perhaps this place has nothing to offer other than its ambiance. Food has gotten worse over the years, and the coffees are not unto the mark. Half of the things from the menu aren't available. The only decent edibles i can find is the garlic sandwich and a frappe maybe. The saving grace is the good service and the crowd. Though one can definitely enjoy the setting sun over the lake, with a smoke and good company.
Protyush Hazarika
There is really not much to say about a CCD, apart from the fact that these ppl have been there to help make our exams times pass over during cllg, with great sips & now office hours with their quick refreshers breaks with a powerful coffee!!

While there offerings & decor have improved over the years, there best bet is the apt locations that they have taken.
CCD, Dighalipukhri, wins hands down with the amazing location overlooking the pond which has made many a GUW,visits worth wile bcoz of its nostalgic values, more so as its situated near a so many colleges.
From food perspective we had taken the safe bet cappuccino along with Irish coffee, which had the taste at par with any metro outlets. Yup some banana Chips also added to the cause of nibble :)
The ambience was quiet yet welcoming with staff describing items that we had ordered in a very confident manner
A must visit for anyone visiting the city for few days
A TRUE Cafe experience in my hometown
Totally beautiful environment to spend time, alone or as with friends. Cafe Coffee Day, still the best place for hangout, I prefer. Many times I've went there. As the prices are high, one always expect the best of quality food there. But you'll be disappointed if you try Burger of there. High price for nothing. Also the Green Apple Juice, it taste like water. Anyway, have not tried all the chicken items so, no words for it. Coffees are best. One of my friend once told me, try the food which makes the restaurant popular. :P
Food: 3/5
Service: 4/5
Ambiance: 4/5

Well i dislike cafe coffee day's in general but this one is an exception simply because of the location, digholipukhuri is just the best place to hang out with buddies and this cafe provides the perfect place to sit, although i would still recommend quickpick which is located directly below this.

The food here is between average and good, you get your usual sandwiches and coffee's, but most of the stuff is a little overpriced. Out of the sandwiches i would recommend the crispy cheese toast and the garlic sandwich (although they have gotten worse over the years). The hot chocolate fudge and brownies are quite good though and you can also try out some of the ice cream shakes.

Service is nice and the staff is generally cheerful and helpful and the interiors are really nice. There is not much to hate about the place but i am personally biased against CCD's hence i would recommend the quickpick located directly below this.

Food: 3/5
Service: 4/5
Ambiance: 4/5
