Food quality is good. Good place to chill with friends and family. Little bit expensive 800 for two people approx. Service is excellent .

Good with friends, to be avoided with kids for bar. Its a bar in 3rd floor, family restaurant in 2nd floor and an upcoming cafe in 1st floor. Bar has live music on fri, sat and sun. Nyc and new place, can go for relax.

Gud food, chicken tikka was great n biriyani was fair but not so gud but it was completed with virgin mojito...........

Wonderful place as a restaurant. Staff and management both are very receptive. Food quality is also good. Rates are also reasonable, particularly the combo pack system is very good if you want to have a small treat to a group of 3 or 4 persons.

Food quality and quantity is excellent. Ambience is average, nothing fancy or unique. The only negative is the service is very slow. When we went, there were only two other tables occupied, yet, they took ages to serve the food..

If you love kebabs and Tandoor, perhaps your search might end here. From Seekh kebab to Biriyani everything served here is mouth watering. Service is slightly slow. Staffs are extremely polite. The best thing is price. Once you go there, you will definitely like to come again.

Food was really good and fresh. Basically if you want authentic north indian food then you must visit the place. If you are going with family and with ladies then i will recommend to sit on first level dont go upstairs.

The ambiance is good.Moti mahal serves mainly mughlai & Chinese dishes.The prices are a bit on the expensive side.If u are visiting for the first time do try their famous butter chicken.The quantity of food served is good so order accordingly.

It used to be my favourite restaurant because of the Chaat trail they used to offer. That is closed now. I always look for Haldiram's like restaurant which offer Raj kachaudi and chaat like items and when I found Moti Mahal , I was delighted. But to my disappointment, they closed it. Anyway the menu is good and test of the food is nice too. My favourite are kebabs. Price range is mid range. They offer Chinese and continental along with indian delicacies.

Tast of the food was great without a doubt.

The ambience is good. The staff were courteous. Ordered panner tikka ,honey crispy chicken, chicken afghani ,butter naam, paner makhani and chicken labadar. The food was hot and fresh. It tasted good. The butter naan were soft. The chicken afghani was juicy. . Overall a good experience.

Not much happy with experience. Ordered honey chicken which was too hot over chilly used, noodles was ok. N tandoori was good in taste but not soft n tendrr n juicy. Service was good but plates were dirty. May be my experience was bad cz I choose wrong dished in wrong place. Even ambiance not up to mark..

Starters are good here but highly overpriced. Other veg and non veg dishes were salty and not up to the level of an ordinary restaurant. Butter nun is crispy and hard to bite. Staffs are very friendly and cooperative. But mind it they charge very high. Example- 1litre water bottle (printed Rs.15) costing Rs.50 . Many more items are overcharged.

Three of us, my wife and I along with another friend visited the place for lunch recently. We ordered combo meals for four comprising of chicken butter masala, mutton Rogan Josh, dal makhani, jira rice, mixed veg and so on and so forth. Here is our experiences 1. Ambience is not satisfactory, wash room emits foul smells 2. Quality of food is average, nothing more to comment. Mutton Rogan Josh should not be tried as pieces were only bones. Ordered their special butter chicken and malai kofta ... taste was very different from the standard Moti mahals. . Chicken was too salty while the malai kofta had no taste .I love the food in moti mahals across India but was thoroughly disappointed with the food in this specific location.

We were strolling at the streets of Guwahati at 10 PM and looking for some dineout place in that area.<br/>Moti mahal looked the most decent and less risky so we thought of going in. It was a disaster of the night for us. The quality and taste of whatever we ate was dreadful.<br/>We had - <br/>Chilly chicken - I understand what chilly means but this was over over spicy as if the chicken was dipped in red chili before serving us. I could hardly devour it.<br/><br/>Achari chicken tikka - chicken was undercooked and the thick tandoori covering of spices on it was super undercooked, i could savour the turmeric on it.<br/><br/>Moti mahal special butter chicken- This was supposedly the chef special, over creamy gravy with hard peices of chicken.<br/><br/>Will never suggest to go here for food.

The food quality is very poor . There is no taste in the food . Improve the quality of the food and kindly share this to the chef so that it could be better what you are providing.

Beautiful ambience, absolutely cordial staff and lip smacking food not to be forgotten very soon... I went there to hove my Women's day lunch and was completely happy with their serving. Infact a big big thumbs up altogether.

So I ordered in food from Moti mahal which is why I won't be able to tell you about the decor or the services, which brings it down to food. I read a lot of reviews on Zomato myself before giving it a shot and the reviews weren't very positive, but nonetheless leggo. So I ordered the malai paneer tikka and the afghani chicken for staters and got Hyderabadi dum biriyani and butter chicken for the mains. The starters were pretty good and the afghani chicken was my favourite. However the quality of the biriyani was pretty average because we would def expect something equivalent to the brand name. Butter chicken tasted pretty good but didn't feel all that fresh. So to sum it up, it's not a bad place to explore and some of the dishes on the menu I am sure are worth it. So you may give it a shot too :))

This place serve some really amazing North Indian dishes. This is a perfect & famous place of Guwahati to have a fine dinner with family members. Their ambiance and services were upto the mark. We tried many food items but the one that is worth mentioning is Afghan chicken and chicken biryani. Overall it was a nice experience. Would love to visit it again.

Moti mahal only running for good guest relationship,<br/>these credit only goes to Mr.Raizada ji who well maintaining there customers relationship and gave him first priorities and valuable satisfaction.which is good for hotel business but this is not enough for you guys. Gulab jamun quality is very bad and  its smelling.in Food quality and service is also mandatory for your brand name.please try to maintain your quality.

The quality of the food is very poor, i ordered chicken tandoori and chicken dum briyani, the quality is very bad, they use chicken tandoori in briyani, something very stupid. Wastage of money.

The decor is really posh out here. Service is quick. We ordered aloo tikki chat and desi nachos chat. Both tasted yummy. Food rates are okay. Overall a good experience.

Good range of offerings for non-veg lovers. Still the quality can be looked upon as touch of too much sweet makes the butter chicken less appetising. Must try their starters in veg especially #paneer achari tikka.

Good North Indian food. I ordered rumali roti and butter chicken once, both the item were up to the mark. Good ambience as well. The other time I ordered tandoori roti and Mutton, those were fine as well.

One of the best places for Indian Food in Guwahati. The ambience is nice. Food is delicately delicious. The staff is courteous and friendly. All in all a blissfull experience.

I visited the place with my parents.. The food was average but charge was very high in comparison to its quality. The thing that dissappointed me the most is that they are charging Rs. 30 for a Rs.20 mineral water bottle even after clarifications from the government. And when asked about thr same the manager came n told me that its our practice to charge high for mineral waters. But for ur info charging high on mineral water is an offence as per law. Learn some hospitality. If i ws not wid my parents u wld have faced serious consequences.

I went there for a dinner with my family and I just loved the food. I'm a food enthusiast and I must say I tasted the best north Indian food in guwahati here in Moti Mahal. The Dal Makhani and Veg Jhal Frazy were very good. The Masala Kulcha was the best I tasted in a long time.<br/>And coming to the service part- I must say they have very courteous and responsive staff. Between our dinner, we were asked regarding the food quality and the manager himself came up to know the same. <br/>In all a very big thumbs up.. Keep it up guys. 👍

I ordered from this restaurant through food panda. The food was pathetic. They don't know how to make anything forget taste. I just wasted my 900 bucks for this hopeless restaurant. Food panda should not have this type of restaurant in their list.

Too bad experience. Ordered Kolkata chicken dum biryani ;; But it didn't have single piece of Aloo, Overly spicy and tangy. Raita too salty. And packing quality is also very poor. Quality even poor than street Biryani available in places of Guwahati. Wastage of money.

I called up for a home delivery and they delivered me after 2 and a half hour. N to top that they delibered me the wrong dish and not only that but the chicken was not well cooked

I was hungry and upset: so I needed food! Or to be more precise, I needed some Biryani! But I didn't want to take the trouble to dress up and go out for a meal and eat "like a lady". Oh no! I wanted to eat the Biryani like a caveman(or rather girl) in my pajamas on my oh so dear bed! Or in other words, Home Delivery! Now quite honestly I'm not really a Biryani gal, but once a while you need to treat yourself with our favorite carbohydrate cooked in abundance of ghee and assorted with a good old raita. So I ordered a Kolkata Dum Biryani from Moti Mahal, Ulubari (shout out to City Ora delivery service). Now first of all, I must commend the deliver service for the food reached my doorstep in less than 30 minutes (from Ulubari to Panbazar) and the food was still warm and freshly cooked. But now for the most important part: the taste. Well the Biryani on its own definitely owned me over. It was lighter than a typical Hyderabadi biryani which is one of the reasons I liked it, but it definitely lacked some heat. Also the chicken pieces could have been either larger or more in number, however they were boneless and succulent and perfectly cooked. Everything would have been alright had it not been for the assortments. I for one adore raita, perhaps more than Biryani itself. In this case however, the raita turned out to be a little too runny and a little too sour, so much that it had the capability to overshadow the Biryani which isn't cool. Then comes the green chutney- this chutney on the other hand was way too bland. It had a good color to it but some spices and flavor would have definitely helped it. Of course it's about the Biryani and it was overall a good Biryani but you wouldn't want the assortments to destroy it would you?<br/>Now I'd like to try other dishes(probably from one of their more popular outlets at Zoo Tiniali) to form a better opinion. I had really low expectation from this place when I went for dinner but to my surprise, the hospitality was quite warm. The stewards too good care of us and the service was quite fast in spite of being a Sunday. The prices are quite reasonable but food can be improved. Overall a good dining experience.

Had buffet. It was below ok. No starters at all. No variety of dishes in main course. It is very limited. Only ice-cream and kheer in dessert. Not upto the expectation.
