The interior of the restaurant is well designed and spacious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They have variety of North Indian dishes in their menu. We had steamed rice with kadhai chicken and green salad. The food is totally worth the price. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good Indian restaurant in the heart of the city.

A spacious complete family restaurant with a wide range of food options... Recently the drinks and starters are from just rs 69 ...do grab yours.... The main course are delicious here...staff are courteous and the place is hygeinic... U must not miss the mutton shekh kebab here... A must visit with friends and family... Parking available

The restaurant is styled as an old highway dhaba. Decent food, reasonably priced. Service is a tad slow but staff is courteous.

Loved their biryanis, both veg and non-veg. The kebabs are creamy and their in-house sodas are very refreshing. The space is well used with a hint of ñostalgia in every corner. We tried their Kolkata Dum Biryani, Hyderabadi Dum biryani and Chole Tawa Pulao, Dal makhani and Paneer masala. Starters include Chicken Tikkas and Hara Bhara kebab. For desserts, we had their Gulkand ki kheer. The service is very professional and even their ambience is well lit and hygienic.

Though mutton dish has some scope of improvement in its taste. Overall a nice place to visit in weekends with your friends and family.

The food is very wonderful, typical Punjabi with unique Punjabi names. You will like each dish. The price is towards the higher range but not so heavy on your pocket. The place is spacious, and well lit. The decoration is very typical too. The methi Murg bharta was exceptional as well as paneer ke gulgule.

Loved the ambience. Gives the feel of an urban dhaba playing country music. 😻 coming to the food, they serve authentic Indian food. Their kebabs and butter chicken are a must try. All the food was well flavored and cooked to perfection. They serve cocktails too. ✔

A few days back I have visited this awesome place known as Rang De Basanti and try some delicious food like Paneer Gulgula, Dal makhani, Phirini, Kadhai paneer, Banta soda, the food was delicious and I love the ambience and their hospitality.

I ordered Lacha Parantha and Roti and what I received are burnt breads. Not only they lack taste but are so thick and chewy. Ordering from a road side dhaba would have been better but given their reputation I tried from Rang de Basanti. Even street dogs won't eat this food. As I see one more review of burnt naan, I believe their chef never came back after lock down. If such is the case please stop taking orders and save us from wasting money.

The food is too good, it is not only commented by me but my friends too had liked it. The food has the typical punjabi desi ghee flavour n so overall its healthy too. The sitting ambience is good andthe staff are all very well mannered showing their courtesy in abundance. But the but is to be relished and friends dont just miss the food. Its just worth re ordering it.

So I have heard so much about this restaurant and was craving to taste it's Indian delicacies. I finally ordered Butter naan, matar paneer and paneer butter masala today. And to my shock, I was completely disappointed. First of all, it took more than a hour to deliver the food which was fine if the food was satisfying. But again, the food was worst. The quantity was way too less for the price. The two gravies had exactly the same taste and looks. There was no sweet or salty taste in the paneer butter masala. It was completely tasteless. And the matar paneer had no matar in it. Neither did it had any taste. Both the gravies were completely tasteless. <br/>Again, most of the butter naans were burnt. It was so hard that I could neither tear it nor chew it. <br/>Such bad quality and quantity of food is not expected from such a reputed restaurant which specialises in indian cousine. Apparently the worst indian food I have ever had. <br/>

The portions of the food was good according to the price, the staff was good. the decor is pretty too. the food tasted good too .

Rang de basanti urban dhaba is a good place to try out North Indian food. I have been there few times and tried different dishes everytime. They offer rose milk as welcome drink. <br/>They got various types of Indian breads. In starters I liked Tangdi Oye Hoye . Main course is good. In dessert I loved coffee custard and bhayankar meetha pan. Staff is well mannered

It is a really good place but the portion size of their dishes are really disappointing the price they charge for the dishes are really not upto the mark considering the portion size they serve .

The quantity is way too less for what it's worth.

Chicken Pulao was no where near to how it should be.. It was more like chicken fried rice with Indian Masala.. Butter chicken was bad too. Raita served with the so called Pulao was good. No welcome drink served today. It was such a good experience when we visited couple of months back. Utterly disappointed today.

Rang de basanti is a very unique style family restaurant. Its ambience is very unique. They have tried to put the vibe of ethinic punjabi dhaba in a modern style which I like the most. There dishes are very tasty and also the quantity is also well enough. Though the price is a bit higher. But overall it's a good place to spend time with your family and friends.

Visited Rang De Basanti Urban Dhaba on Christmas 2019, firstly the space is big and can accommodate quite lot of people. The ambience is good and decors give a feel of Punjab. Now coming to the two main parts Service and Food.The service is good though it can be better, they took around 15-20 mins to take the order (may be because of the christmas ) , now coming to food we ordered Malai Murg ke Chakke, Chiken Palang Tod, Dal Fry,Butter Nan, Plain Rice. Each and every dish was awesome, the flavour was distinct in each dish, the chicken was tender in both the dishes and the presentation was superb.<br/><br/>All in all a very good experience... And will ask evryone to pay a visit .

Urban dhaba always served me amazing delicacies . The butter naan with murgh makhani i ordered today was heavenly . The murgh makhani had a sweet and creamy texture which left me totally flabbergasted. The naan was good too yet it was a bit chewy i guess that is because of the long distance delivery . But overall its a 4 start ❤❤❤❤..

The food was terrible. The chicken was uncooked the naan was chewy. It was inedible. Only the packaging was good. Couldnt even eat it. Spoiled our dinner. Total waste of money.

I got this craving for good Punjabi chicken dish and after searching a lot I ordered Shahi Chicken Patiala(half) from RDB. The packaging was nice but when I opened, there was just a tiny box. I was shocked. Back in Gurgaon where I stay, half is usually so so much in amount and I paid 250 bucks for this tiny dish. Anyway I was hoping that taste would be good but was so disappointed. It was so so bad. I would never order from this place again.

I didn't expect this from such a highly famed restaurant. Ordered Kukkad Bhasad, Murgh Ghee roast and Shahi Chicken Patiala. All the three were just horrible. I won't even talk about the quantity of each item for 250 ruppes each. Quantity would not have mattered if they concentrated on quality.<br/>I mean the total was something like 700 rs. Although I got discount for order through zomato, but to charge something like that and send something like this is unacceptable. Everyone recommends this place. But if you differentiate between a home delivery order and dining order, you are a horrible place then. All the three items had a soury taste. "Shahi chicken" Tasted like a cheap fish tenga curry. Highly disappointed.

The milestones placed around reminds you of the National Highways. You'll find some write ups over the walls that'll crack you up. Overall, the place is really nice. <br/><br/>Coming to the Food, as soon as you enter, you're served the welcome drinks. For starters and main cource, you have the choice of veg or non-veg. <br/><br/>Out of all the Starter dishes, the Sawa Futiya Seekh was my favorite! Served with some Pudina Chutney, Chilli Chutney and Salad, this 1.25 ft. long mutton kebab was more than just a scrumptious appetizer. My second favorite was the Kambal Fish Tikka. It was fish wrapped in naan and cooked in tandoor, topped with malai, ahaha! So yumm!!! Loved it so much! And my third favorite was the Tangdi"OyeHoye". Now the best aprt about this dish was that it was so delicate that you can easily dig into it using a fork and knife or even with your hands. And taste wise, it was creamy, soft, savoury and overall, very appetizing. The Nachos was fun, very crispy.<br/><br/>Coming to the main course, the Panner was soft and it wasn't crumbly, but more like it'd melt in your mouth. The Gravy was smooth, creamy and perfectly spiced. The Keema Kaleji was my favorite. I loved the keema, it was so made to perfection. The Dum Aloo, a vegetarian dish, was simply made with Aloo and regular Indian spices. I really liked the Aloo Matar Pulao. If you wanna have some good rice dish but not much fancy types, you can go for this one. It's simple, it's yummy, tastes good and makes your tummy happy too. The Chicken Bharta was my another favorite. The chicken has been finely shredded and mixed with the Bharta. The onion gives a hint of sweetness, along with the simple spices of the Bharta, really makes it such an amazing dish to have with roti or naan. The Sev Tamatar ki Sabji, made with tomatoes, desi masalas and heaps of besan sev, was the last of the curries that I had. And to have it all with, there are Roti Tokris which consists of Naan, Roti and Paranthas. <br/><br/>After all this, if you still have space left in your tummy, you can order something from the Dessert menu. This is an awesome place for expertised Punjabi food. The ambience totally give a Punjabi vibe. Coming to the food, it's quantity and quality both are awesome. We can feel the authentic Punjabi taste here.<br/>Here, I had butter naan, garlic naan, laccha paratha, chicken patiala shahi, lassi and a soda drink. All the food were amazing and worth the price. We got complimentary drinks by them and that was pretty cool.<br/>The staff is totally friendly and the whole place is very hygienic. It's an awesome place to visit.

We landed to this place by chance. And we're glad. Awsome place with good food and good service. What I loved most was the ice cream we ordered for desert. Giving 4* because I felt price was a bit high.

Situated on GS road we actually walked 2 km to reach this place. Simply put, it's great food, true to the taste buds, served decently and value for money.<br/>The place offers ambience of a Punjabi Dhaba with milestones to various metropolitan cities. The seating space is huge and lit up. The service was a tad bit slow as we had to wait almost 45 mins after placing the order even for appetizers and starters, and that's why I had to take away one star.<br/>One may have to follow the maps to find the place cz it's located on first floor that needs climbing the stairs from behind the complex. However, must visit for anyone who craves for a typical North Indian Spicy food, you won't be disappointed.

I had ordered Mango Malai Tikka which was very tasty and it's a unique dish as no where I saw such chicken dish with mango flavour. I had also ordered Jeera Chawal, Kukkad Makhanwala & Mango Phirni which were also good. Service was good & fast. I enjoyed the food and liked the interior decoration also. Visited Rang de Basanti last week.After you enter the restaurant, it gives you the feel of a Punjabi Dhaba.The service is also perfect.The man at work are of amiable nature.<br/>Next comes to food.We have ordered Kambal fish tikka(fish wrapped in naan) is amazing.The fishes were tender & taste was good.Next was chicken tangdi kabab.Be careful with this if you are a Muslim.We misunderstood alcohol mixed sauce with vinegar Thankfully we came to know about it & didn't even touch that small glass.But the chicken were really tasty-soft & delicious.<br/>Next comes the main course.We had O Teri paneer in kadai gravy,Masala Aloo matar pulao,Chicken Patiala shahi,Dal Makhni & Lachcha paratha.To be honest, the main course couldn't meet my expectations.Being a food blogger, I was expecting the taste to be awesome but it turned out to be the opposite.<br/>Then we had a few drinks like Masala Cola,Chaach & Kala Khatta.Kala khatta was on top.Tasted amazing but the taste of chaach was not liked by anyone.So we left both the glasses after having one sip.<br/>Overall experience was not that good because I went there after lots of discussion with my blogger friends.

Amazing food,great hospitality. It has beautifully captured the true essence of Punjab in it's dishes. Definitely try their chicken keema with butter naan, it's our absolute favourite.

So firstly i would say... The cost is too high compared to the quantity... Small pcs of chckn wngs at 315 too high we just ate wings, naan n butter chckn n bill was above 1.5k ...taste must be little improved as they are not that upto the mark.... I don’t reside in Guwahati and was there for just 2 days, in which my birthday fell. Me and my family (group of 11 people) decided to try this place. I have to say, I wasn’t disappointed. We ordered lassi for our drinks, which were really nice, wasn’t too thick or too sweet. For the starter we ordered nachos and some wheel spin chicken seekh kebab and for the mains we ordered dal makhani, butter chicken, tandoori chicken and chicken andhra. The nachos and the spin wheel chicken were really nice, so was the tandoori chicken and andhra. However, the dal makhani was off, almost felt it was too sour. But what really stood out for me was their service. Since it was my birthday, my mom informed the server (to which I had no clue about) and surprised me with a complimentary paan icecream and they all sang for me (was too shy and hence couldn’t take a photo of the icecream). At the end, even the chef who prepared the food for us, came out to wish me. The service like I said, was fabulous and they sure know how to make your day. If I am ever in Guwahati, i’ll drop by again! Thanks team!

Best punjabi food ever ! No words can describe how awesome the food is. You’re greeted with a welcome drink (rose shots) . Do try all the food items here . But if I have to choose you must try their chicken bharta, the chicken kabab (forgot the name but the picture has been included) and the lassi!

This place brings a true flavour of dhaba. Chicken patiala is comes with omelette on the top and it tastes awesome. The ambience of this place totally reminds you Urban dhaba. The tractor, the sitting place everything. The interior was so innovative I really like the concept.<br/>The food was delicious too, they start their food service by serving a welcome drink it’s good in taste but they can improve the taste as it’s a welcome drink. Than naan chicken everything is good in taste but the chicken is not well prepared it’s slight uncooked, and the mix veg is so perfect I love the mix veg a lot and The starter were delicious, well prepared with perfect seasoning with perfect taste .<br/>The staffs were so friendly and humble with each and every customer and the service is excellent.<br/> Overall it’s a good experience but I think you can increase your food quality and taste.

The experience was overall decent . Staff is really well equipped and humble . Ambience is nice but if we talk about food , it’s bit risky and depends on ur taste buds .something which is very tasty for sumone may be disgusting for u. Bcoz the name and dish doesn’t match . For ex we ordered kadai paneer . Usually kadai paneer is spicy and paneer is cut in cubes mixed wid other veggies but here their was totally different version of kadai paneer . It was sweet and tangy . Although we liked the taste but u have to ask the staff complete details abt a dish before ordering it .

Tasty delicious and authentic North indian food..By far the best naan in guwahati... Very cordial staff. In our case it was Arpit. Thank you.

The place gets mixed reviews often, the place is sweet but prices ain't bearable for a dhaba. One occassion did visit but after that have been ordering food ever since because i do get a discount sometimes, food on occassions is near perfect on some other occassions you should've cooked at home. But the panjabi dish with "sarso ka saag" is a dish I'd be ready to eat anyday.

Authentic and great Punjabi food...it really tasted like actual Punjabi flavours...Great place for kids and elders as well...the staff is very friendly too

Yummmyy...must visit restaurant in Guwahati. The food just opens up your taste buds and relieve all worry. Roti ki tokri concept is also good. Staff is friendly. Food is tasty. Ambience is beautiful. Perfect restaurant for a date.

The restaurant is good... Ambience is awesome even their service is good... they even serves a welcome drink... but... the food they serves is not upto the rank of the prices... the prices are too high... not upto the marks... if you are planning to have a good food in a good price... then this is definitely not the one...

The ambience of this place truly reminds you of an urban dhaba, with tractors, Punjabi quotes and punch lines. Well maintained decor in short.<br/><br/>Food: Coming to the food, we ordered Chicken Tikka Basanti and Kambal Fish Tikka (did not order any main course, we were not that hungry), and a Fresh Lime soda and Coke.<br/>The Chicken Tikka was so yummy. Perfectly cooked, with the right amount of spices and tang, so soft and tasty.<br/><br/>The Kambal Fish Tikka was fish tikka wrapped in Naan. We were seriously not expecting this to win our hearts, but it was the best. Simply, the best. The fish was too soft, the Naan was soft too, we did not have to struggle with our fork and knife to tear it, can you imagine. I am definitely going to try this again, and even you should (even if you are not a fan of fish).<br/><br/>Service: Staff was very friendly, and they have prompt service.<br/><br/>Price: Okay, the food was too tasty so it definitely deserves 5 stars, but I am giving 4 stars only coz' of the price. It is too much on the higher side, like literally too much. That's a slight disappointment. These 2 dishes with a lime soda and coke costed about Rs.1080. So, its all upto you.<br/>Its definitely not a pocket friendly place, but loved the food nevertheless. 👌👌👌

Love the ambience. Service is quick. Menu is interesting. Only concern is with the mutton dishes (especially gravy) they are just bones and no meat. The price for mutton dishes are on the higher side. For that price they should be offering boneless meat. Rest is all fine .

Everytime I'm in mood for an Indian dinner but not so heavy on my appetite, I choose Rang De Basanti. I love how they have managed to calorie down the Punjabi cusinie without neglecting the flavour of it!<br/>

I ordered the mix boti takatak with laccha parathas and I have to say the food was heavy and amazing. I was full with just one laccha paratha. They gave complimentary welcome shots and that too taste good. They have given a punjabi twist in their menu which I personally found hard to identify the dishes. And I think their price is abit high according to the quantity though the quality is good. Ambience is amazing.

I can by now call this outlet my second home. I know where I need to be whenever I am craving for North Indian cuisines. The complimentary drink is absolutely luscious. And oh did I mention about the food? I can place my bet on the menu of this outlet. Its the best north indian restaurant in the town so far. I tried most of the chicken items and I can never get enough of it. Service is great as well. I shall visit it again!

Best vegetarian experience ... New year dinner at Rang De Basanti Urban Dhaba ...<br/>We had a starter drink which was complimentary .. We ordered for starter a roasted potato n pineapple chat, for main course it was palak paneer, hari mirch roti and pudina parantha... ( m just saying the normal names they had some nice long elaborate names for the dishes) am a hard-core non-vegetarian eating such an amazing vegetarian dinner was awesome... I would like to visit @rdburbandhabaguwahati again also there hospitality n service is very good.. the boys were very well-mannered n I like the part where they have made the entire restaurant so beautiful. Starting from the complimentary drink till the last spoon of mouth freshnerwas amazing. Thank u @rdburbandhabaguwahati

I really like the ambience of this place. It truly remains true to the spirit of being an urban dhaba. The sitting arrangements are good. There's a particular tractor like sitting arrangement which we later regretted not choosing sit on. The staff is nice and cordial. Coming to the food... it's good! I tried a mutton pulao and a balti mutton. I must say I was completely taken by what I ate. Very well prepared meat which is sometimes rare to find in such hyped up places. The rate is on costly. It's better to go with family and friends so you all can dutch the payment. The quantity of food served is also ok. The complimentary welcome shot of sweet drink they serve as starters was also good. All in all, a good place to crash and a good gathering. Provided you all have fat wallets that day.

The quality of the food is really good. It is not too spicy yet delectable. The staff is helpful and offers assistance readily. The interiors are spacious and the location of the restaurant is right at the centre of all activities. The only problem was that the desert menu did not have range of options to choose from and some items were not available.

The food was good. In my opinion it can be improved as per the price. Service of the stuff also should be improved and little more professional. Overall a nice experience if you're looking for north Indian cuisine and ambiance.

We went there this year June and it was a family lunch. I have heard quite some bad reviews about this place.. That the quantity of food served is not good and that the staff is quite ill mannered. Thankfully we had none of these experiences. We just loved the food, the ambience, the behavior of the staff. The food tasted amazing, the quantity was very good, the welcome drink was yummy. The cutlery was interesting too. We loved the place. I just hope they maintain the quality of the food and the place.

It is actually a overrated place.Chicken pulao was not pulao but fried rice with hardly 3-4mini chunks.Mutton only had red chilli power and nothing else.Paneer dish was good.The waiter was really confused.The washrooms were stinky.Overpriced!!Will never visit again

This place always gives you the chakkh de fatte wala feeling with their mouth watering and lip smacking food!! Whenever I go through their food menu I already get that hunger before I eat the food I order,and feel like ordering everything from their menu! Love everything about Rang de Basanti Urban Dhaba♥️ P.S. at the end I always love their way they present the 4 variety of mouth freshener and I loveee it!
