Review Nagameez - Guwahati

Atonu Kashyap
As we entered the premises the aroma from the kitchen took us back to Nagaland. The dinning experience was good, my friend had Naga special port thali and I asked for Naga special chicken thali. The boiled pork and boiled fish were excellent but I think there was scope for improvement in case of the boiled chicken. I would have termed the whole experience as excellent but the absence of Anishi and Akhoni or either of them from the platter has held us back a step short from declaring it as excellent. As a whole we can say this is one of the best Naga food we have had around Guwahati. The staff and their service were also too good. I would definately go back again!

Savoring the cuisine at this restaurant is nothing short of a sensory celebration. Every dish is a masterpiece, a fusion of flavors that dance harmoniously on the palate. The culinary artistry here transforms each meal into a symphony of taste, leaving a lingering impression of sheer gastronomic bliss.

We went for afternoon lunch . We ordered pork thali and chilli chicken and fried rice . The pork thali consisted of 3 chutney and pork fried pieces . Pork with Lai Shaak was also served along with pork with bamboo shoot . Presentation was excellent. You can check the photos uploaded. As per taste is concerned , the food are not spicy and flavoured by use of tomato, garlic and ginger . Very healthy in sense when it comes to use of species and chilli. Taste I would say 8/10. You can have heart full of rice and come out with a heavy stomach. We had 3 times which costed us 690/- Honestly I found it bit on costlier end . Overall recommend. Taste rating : 1. Pork thali :8/10 2. Chilli chicken :7/10 3. Fried rice :7/10. Ambience is good with rock songs playing in background. In my 2nd visit I tried pork garlic chow and chilli pork , both tasted great.

Been there the first time, I am quite impressed. We order Chicken Laipat and some pork dishes which were very tasty. Taste is completely natural and this restaurant really deserved all the food awards it got!

We loved the food and ambience and service. Would love to visit soon. The pork pieces were perfectly cooked, moreover the size and portion of red meat and fat was equal while served.

The place is very spacious and pretty. The service was good. Youโ€™ll get the authentic naga taste. We tried the chicken thali which consisted of rice, Naga dal, boiled vegetables, chicken chutney, chicken with bamboo shoots, chicken with til and a dessert pink rice Kheer. Do try that!

An amazing Naga restaurant at Chandmari, Guwahati. This restaurant serves many Nagamese dishes. I tried Pork thali. Which was very amazing. They serve with good quantity as well as quality. We also tried pork momo, soup. Momo was amazing with great fillings. We could literally feel the porks๐Ÿ˜ฌ Everything we had, had an amazing taste. Staffs were good too. Do visit this restaurant for amazing nagamese food. Its Ambience is great too!

What a lovely lunch. First time trying Naga cusine and it was a great experience. Restaurant was spotlessly clean, service was good and the staff were flexible and helpful. We had the pork chunga, chicken gravy, ramen/thukpa , Momo's (huge!) And more ... A nice spot and in a reasonably central location

Been visiting here and the Jayanagar one since my college days back in 2016. Still one of the best places on my list.

Ordered pork with boiled vegetables. If you want an excuse of eating pork but also want to improve you diet by not eating oily food. Must try. I was late so picked it up. The pieces are big like 3.5inch. A tasty bowl worth trying

Good naga style food available here. The ambience is good, I personally really like the decors inside. The waiters are also very friendly and service is good. Do visit!

Ambience is first thing you will notice..wooden texture , furniture...few naga mural and items displayed..display of few award and certificate s collection on the wall. Now as far as food is concerned it Mostly for non vegetarian crowd... Although there are multiple but very less options for vegetarian hungry people. The place has some light English music playing mostly on 9xm which could give you a good feel if you enjoy music while having ur meal. Staff are well organised and well behaved, food quality is good, restaurants is clean.

It's always my go-to place whenever I crave for homely comfort food like til chicken, pork with bamboo shoot or even Naga cuisine. They have a seperate catagory in their menu saying "fresh pork items" and no kidding! The pork there is indeed fresh!! It's freshness and taste is what attracts me the most. Not to forget about their special chutneys like dried fish chutney, roasted chicken/pork chutney and smoke pork chutney. I often recommend it to many people

Good Naga and Chinese food. The Naga food is as good as any Authentic Naga place, rather it was just like the home cooked Naga food I have ate with my Naga friends. As for the Chinese, the chefs used to work for some 5 Star in Kolkata, so you know what I mean. Kolkata is know for great Chinese food. The best of part is, they also use some unique herbs in their preparation. The hospitality is also exceptional. The manager will personally look into your order. You get complimentary Naga chutneys. ๐Ÿ˜‰

On 16th Jan 2020, i along wd my friend visited this resturant around 10:15 pm. As I am currently living in bangalore and goes to Guwahati every year, my friend who is from guwahti took me to this place. We ordered pork thali as they have nothing else. The whole stuff was not willing to serve as it was bit late. Now secondly, the food was horrible which we realised it on next day as both of us were having stomach upset.

STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND AS THEY SERVE OLD AND STALE FOOD.

Hopeless and low quality food. Dont go there

I went there for dinner. The ambience is very soothing. Dimly lit and smells of bamboo shoot. Big glass windows overlooking the main road. Also, there's a see-through glass of the kitchen and you notice pans and woks catching fire and it warms your heart.

Only went there to try out pork. We ordered a veg thali, some plain rice, pork with sesame (gravy), roasted pork fry. Now the veg thali consisted of rice, naga dal, boiled mix veggies and various chutneys. Among the chutneys, the dry fish chutney stole my heart. It was really hot and I couldn't help myself from ordering it twice. The boiled veggies made me feel healthy and nutritious. The pork was aah!! The roasted one was finger licking and spicy and so yummy. The sesame one was okayish. Could be better. The gravy was watery and the pork pieces were overcooked and went dry.

The portion sizes were good according to price. The bill is another story. They charged us โ‚น70 higher than what the bill was supposed to be. On looking the bill carefully, we saw that the prices of the items were increased to โ‚น20-โ‚น30 in every dish. On confronting, they said it was a technical glitch!! Really? That was a complete let down. If we wouldn't have gone through the bill, we would have paid extra from almost nothing. Please look into this matter.

1. To the chef, amazing, I really loved the course. They have an amazing balance of flavour and comfort. #respect

2. To the Guy Staff that waited for me, He was a polite and humble person. Give him a hike or something.

2. To the other staff that was on billing counter, Do not enforce prices on customers without their confirmation. I was not asked if I wanted Mineral water but it was present in my bill nonetheless (I was gonna order Mineral Water anyways) and FYI the bottle was open (So basically you could have just given me refilled water). #Shame

3. To another staff, If I come to a restaurant don't ask why I have come, I didn't come to restaurant to play sports, I came to eat.

About the payment option, I came from Pune for a short visit and really craved for ethnic cuisine for my dinner. I expected, being it a proper dining place, to have online payment options but no. Instead of telling me honestly that you don't accept it (Which you should unless you might be evading tax or something), you gave me the most stupid reason that the machine was bad. #stupidstaff

Lol. Like really? if it's bad, it's not my problem, it's yours. FIX IT.

I was not in a mood for confrontation but you needed to be addressed accordingly.

There is no assamese thali available and also the taste of foods is not like earlier. Disappointed ๐Ÿ˜ž

Friends if you are looking for some authentic, amazing, mouthwatering food, this is the place to be. I relished every bite in my mouth that I had. From maincourse to snacks to the chutneys that they serve is so good that I mind sharing my food๐Ÿคญ. Please do visit and I will make sure I visit this place everytime I am in Guwahati no matter what. Thank you team and specially the owner. I have no pictures of the food as we were too busy eating and relishing the food that we never realised that we should take picture also. Hahahah.

Visited many times and in love with this place . Every dish of it are fingerlicking good.I specially like the BBQ Pork . staffs are so friendly and help ful . Quantity and quality both are worth ...If you want to have a delicious ethnic lunch or dinner you can surely choose this place ..Will visit again and again
Didn't find the food that good, or that bad. Pork was nice, the chicken and other stuff was really not worth each penny. The Momo again was quite nice. Therefore, the score would sum up to an average.
Soumyabrata Ratna Chakraborty
While zomato advises all to be polite while reviewing, but in this instance I just can't. I have ordered online smoked chilli chicken gravy, and they have delivered me pork instead of chicken. How can a restaurant can do this even? I will urge everyone to be cautious while ordering anything from them in future

If you are looking for a place which serves traditional cuisine ( other items also available) then this place is pretty much everything. Except for the sophisticated and cramped place which is almost packed with customers, the food is good, especially heavy meals and they even have spicy dishes ๐ŸŒถ๐ŸŒถ๐ŸŒถ

Pure ethnic food and variety are the main assets of Nagameez. They serve you the best Assamese and Naga Thalis along with special side dishes. Also every day there is a special Chicken, Fish and Pork dish for their customers. We ordered One Veg Naga Thali, Two Assamese Veg Thali, One smoked fish with dry bamboo shoot,Chicken with Banana Flower, Fish Khorika and Thekera Juice. The taste is really amazing. Just loved it. Only one review i would like to give them is the maintenance. The hotel is maintained very poorly. I hope they give more importance to this too. Otherwise it's a 4.5
Debashree Neog
If you are looking for naga cuisines, do visit this place. It cannot be compared to other restaurants serving ethnic good because it's unique in its own way. The Thalis are a plus point now. The assamese thali is far far better compared to their neighbouring restaurant Paradise.
Many of you will agree with me on this point. The ethicity is very well maintained, the place is clean and hygienic. The food, as always, tastes very good. Mouth watering food.

I have visited this place four times. Yet m not fulfilled. Gonna visit this place again.. i like the food because its so yummy. I ordered non veg thali. It was yummy. The pork thali too is too good

A sudden discovery during looking for Naga food in the road waiting for a forensic to join us .. we were lucky to be served rice wine and it tasted good giving a decent hangover ..

We tried duck which personally I didn't like at all but chicken and pork was fine .. overall ambience is really good and so is the service and people at the place .. they help u with food and customize to ur taste too

Decent place for lovers of Naga food .

The food that I have ordered was great in taste as well as good in quantity. I ordered nagameez thali n its was so good enough for two... Definitely gonna order again

This place no introduction amongst the locals. The Thalis are absolutely loved. Thukpa is so on point that I keep going back to it over and over again.

A great place serving ethnic food . Have visited the place several times with friends and families. This place never fails to satisfy me. The food, interior, behaviour of the staff and the service all are highly satisfactory.
SKYLINE TRAVELS
we ordered smoked pork with bamboo shoot dry. It's really horrible, pork is so hard, just like stone, hardly we had only 3 pieces out of 8 pieces. I request to d authority dt they should check d items before deliver it.We ordered it through Swiggy.Actually d pork was not fresh, it was freezing for last 2 to 3 days dts why it was so hard.

Being an avid food lover, its my dream to taste a variety of different ethnic dishes all in my place. Today i tried Nagameez. It was around 10:30pm and i wondered where can i get good ethnic food at this moment of time. I searced and finally found Nagameez which was not visited earlier. So stepped my foot by luck and by no other options left in that vicinity. Once i entered the place, a traditional feeling engulfed within my mind. The room was lit wid Red colored LED's and there was a dark ambience which i pretty much loved at that moment of time. I ordered Nagameez special thali which included a lot of items which i dont even recall. The staff service was really commendable. They just kept us asking whether we need something. This gesture made me happy. Talking about the food, its definitely better than Naga Kitchen. To be honest this is the best place of Naga Delicacy that can be found in Guwahati. I just didnt like the Naga Dal. It was saltless. I dont know whether it contains salt in the recipe or not, but it was really not delicious. Overall a happy feast tonight. Do visit..

I have been to this place for 3 times. When i first tried their Naga Thali, i was quite impressed with the quantity and the varieties of the dishes. The food was tasty and simple. Couldn't find any extra oil. Their pork dishes are amazing. I have also tried the Assamese Thali which was even better than the previous Naga Thali. Less spice and oil made it even more tastier. The ambience is good and the presentation of the foods are tempting. But the only things that i didn't like was 1)the waiting 2)the pricing. They make you wait a long to prepare the food. But I think it is worth waiting :) But the pricing is a bit on higher side and they provide so many dishes that it becomes difficult to finish them all. So i suggest to lessen the price and also the quantity and make a fair Thali. All in all i enjoy the food here every time I visit Nagameez. Its truly authentic โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‹

A good place to eat with a reasonable price .. a peace full place with music does make your time good enough being there.. among Naga cushine. Nagameez is among my top list restaurant to fill my stomach.. 5 Star isn't enough to rate this restaurant. They deserve more than that.

Located near the busy streets of silpukhuri, visited this place to relinquish our craving for naga food. The place looks clean, spacious and everything was fine until the food arrived. Ordered for smoked pork, expecting it to be authentic naga smoked in fire but our dreams were crashed when we got to see n taste it. First of all it was all fats except for one/two pieces but I like the black fire smoked pork but this one was all white and not smoked from inside. Chutney was tasty. The vegetables of boiled veggies werenโ€™t so fresh. The price of the food and the quality doesnโ€™t match.
Upasana Choudhury
You can taste the authentic assamese food too. Naga dishes are also good. Nice ambience. 5 star for the food. Do not try chinese here as they are best in authentic dishes.

Awesome ethnic food. Very good ambience. Polite staff. Albeit unhappy with the Plates they serve food on. Better plates would make the experience more fulfilling.

I would love to rate this place a full five . If Zomato had something more than 5 in the scale , I had definitely given that too.

In absolute love with almost everything about Nagameez.
The food, wow, it's awesome. Great authentic taste with great variety. The sides are so yum, that I completed half of my rice with them .

And the service, lovely it is. The servicemen makes you feel like home. Very polite staffs, with very decent behaviour. Also, a big big big thank you to the chef's for cooking such vibrant flavours and filling our tummies .
A perfect combination of good food and good staff is the best fit statement to describe Nagameez.

I would rate this place 5 again and again! The Ethnic food they put out is awesome, excellent taste and amazing quantity. The Pork with bamboo shoot to smoked pork every pork dish is well prepared. Plus, the washrooms are very clean which scores extra points. Thumbs up.

Realy a good ambience for dining. Staffs are well behaved . Food is also good and price worthy but the real essence of naga food that small Resturant serves is somewhere missing . Looking forward to try more dishes soon

Located in Silpukhri, this place serves authentic naga cuisines and chinese too. The food tasted good with all the bamboo built interiors. Not a totally naga food lover so to me this place was ok.
Botoka Shohe
My sister took me for evening outing and we have visited the Nagameez as I have heard lots about it that they serve Naga cuisine. So we had ordered rice beer and chicken and Pork momos. The rice beer was very tasteless and then it was over priced. The interior was good. The service was very slow and took very long to served.
Ankita Das
we'd ordered for Smoked Chilly Chicken. the meat was totally UNDERCOOKED which resulted in irritable bowel syndrome. hope their service would improve.

Momo without Chutney and the terrible roasted pork... The worst food u even had at guwahati. Delivery boy couldn't understand the most easiest of location.. Never ever again.

Fantastic Naga Food !!! Everything was made to perfection with the right twists and turns of Naga Food! Was there with a guests from Japan and they were saying โ€˜Umaiโ€™ - tasty for most of the time. Definitely one of the better Naga Food I have tasted all.

Ambience is nice.. with good backgroud music goin on all the time..
We orderd pork naga thali, chilli panner with gravy and chilli garlic veg fried rice.. pork naga thali was superb better than anyother naga rest. We have visited.. so was the fried rice and chilli panner..tasted superb.. the only disadvantage was that we waited for 45 mins for our order to arrive.. the pricing is moderate.. !!! A must visit!
Snigdha Das
I loved the place.. The food was good... Specially the pork ribs... Service is ok ok, and starters are yummm... Love it, keep it up... Looking forward to visit it soon
Sifa Mukaddam
We simply loved the food here...
Awesome taste and nice ambiance... The steamed pork momo's and Smoked Crispy Chilly Pork was amazing as my friends who have had it described... I being a vegetarian will advice one to have Crispy Chilly Potatoes and Manchurian Rice, it was so damn yum that we couldn't get enough...
We also got to try a special type of juice that is the Wild Apple Juice which was smooth and refreshing...
The only thing lacked was the service as the food took a very long time to reach our table which is the single aspect that needs improvement...
Manikankana Bhattacharyya
Platter of wholesome Naga cuisine.....Ordered pork thali and chicken thali along with roasted chicken fry. Although the service was prompt and certain items in the platter were nice, the pork was an epic let down ๐Ÿ˜ž with it being rubbery and chewy. Hoped for more!!!! Another suggestion would be to add a desert to balance out the heat ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Awesome experience of nagameez special thali and I observed one thing manager is taking feedback .I will strongly recommend this place to everyone. Keep it up .

โบ๏ธFood - friends, those who love Naga food (well, super-spicy-hot-yet low on oil), this is one perfect choice in the city. Well well well, they serve good Chinese as well.
โบ๏ธValue for money- u can have a burp-full diet even when u r tight on pocket.. So this is the best part.
โบ๏ธAmbience - average I must say.
โบ๏ธService - you won't be disappointed.
โบ๏ธLocation - I guess they have two outlets, one in silpukhuri and the other in Jayanagar. Easy to locate!
โบ๏ธMust have- probably any pork dish. They r yummilicious.
โบ๏ธ overall experience is good, and highly recommended.

One of the best places for Naga food in town. The pork with bamboo shoot served with the thali is amazing. The fish cooked in bamboo shoot is also worth a try. Quantities served are huge. Reasonable prices. The service quality is something worth mentioning too.

Food : 8/10
Ambience: 8/10
Staff : 7/10
Delivery speed: 8/10
Value for money: 9/10
One of the best naga restaurants in Guwahati, great Naga food, the chicken drumsticks and smoked pork fry is great, also pork with bamboo shoot is great. For home delivery packing quality is great.
The only thing that needs improvement is the rice quality, maybe a change would be good. All in all I am a regular here.
Abhinab Das
One of the finest ethnic restaurant in the city. Everything tastes authentic. The smoke pork is just out of the world. Chicken with bamboo shoot is awesome. Ambience is really good and the best thing is the Gst is 5%. Ttly recommended.

Recently paid a visit. I ordered a Non-veg Thali. The food was amazing. It was spicy and thats what i loved about it. The Chutneys were just awesome. The only thing that disappointed me was that as I had ordered a non-veg THALI, I was expecting it to look like a thali. They served the rice in a plate and put all the other items of the thali seperately. Rest is fine. Would love to pay another visit.
Arpita Chakraborty
It was my first visit to this place,as I wanted to try some naga food. So, I ordered non-veg thali which consisted of ..rice,naga dal, boiled veg, dryfish chutney, naga chutney, green salad, chicken chutney, chicken with bamboo shoot. Overall, every item was good, but I didn't like the bamboo shoot item much.Value for money is good. So,is the service and the interiors. Overall okay! Kind of experience.

Must visit place for pork lovers!
Good place for pork lovers!
Food- pork thali, pork ribs , grilled pork....and most of the items r good. Thupka is superb. Momo is decent ...but too expensive considering its quality. Overall cost is reasonable.
Ambience-it's nice and cosy place to be. Music is soft, lightings are good.
Service-decent service. Waiters r helpful.
I am really fond of authentic ethnic food, and as the name suggests this restaurant is famous because of the wide range of Nagameezโ€‹ cuisines that it provides. I always had in my mind to visit here once.

Ambience : 4/5
They have properly managed to give the restaurant a Naga feel by having wooden furnitures all around@ and interior decor of those kind. Even the staff who is serving food gives you a same feeling.

Food : 3/5
When we entered the restaurant we saw many people were heavily sweting while eating even when the AC is working properly. I couldn't understand why until I ordered our special Naga non veg thali choosing pork instead of chicken. The vegetables were boiled with no flavours. Naga daal was kind of a broth where I could find essence of tomato with less daal. Coming to the pork curry and chutneys, the flavour of chilly was so strong I could take time to actually feel the essence of anything other than chilly. I understand the dishes were purely prepared in Naga style and the level of chilly is always on the higher side, because of which it was fine and it should be expected. The pork was really good. Although it was very hot, there was no spice involved in the preparation and they have been able to stick to it's name "Nagameez".
Bhargav Gogoi
Came here for a late lunch today. We ordered rice, Nagamese pork curry and smoked pork with bamboo shoot. The curry was really good but the smoked pork was over cooked and all the onions were burn, the meat itself was burnt and was hard as rock. The service was really good and the ambience of the restaurant was good too. There is always room for improvement and in this case, smoked items should be reviewed and prepared more delicately, otherwise I was really happy with the service.
Anganjyoti Basumatary
This is a must for all pork lovers. The food here tastes awesome. This is one of the best restaurants for ethnic naga dishes in Guwahati. Even the staff is co-operative. The environment itself brings out the foodie in you.

Ahhh!! The home for pork-lover comes here and so does mine!! If you are searching for Exotic Naga dishes, this is the ultimate place to drop in. I have been to this place an umpteen number of times only because of the relishing pork dishes. The Naga Thali is worth trying, comprising of few Chutneys and Naga Daal, Chicken and Pork with Bamboo Shoot etc. The Naga Platter too is recommended. And yes! The Barbeque Pork and the Pan Fried Pork Momo is a must try if you don't intend to go for lunch or dinner. The ambiance is absolutely pleasant. The dim lights add to the charm of the beautifully decorated Nagamese interiors. However, it is a little bit pricey but I wouldn't mind spending for appetizing dishes that they serve. Good service. Everything is good. I just love this place.ย
If you intend to drop in, do ping me up for a good company ;) Just kidding! Enjoy!!

If you love boil chicken then I suggest to go for chicken or else you go for pork. I found pork is much better then chicken. I ordered roasted pork which was so tasty, fresh, healthy as well. Decoration was good inside the resturent. I can say it's a good resturent with affordable price.
Ankit Dey
Naga? Nah. Cheap? Nah. Tasty? Nah. Honestly if you try their main course thalis which they say is true nagameze then you will know that its not actually Nagameze. Its a mix of Mongolian and Chinese. The rest of the menu is almost good though.

At the foremost I want to say that this review is about the Nagameez restaurant at Jayanagar near NERIM. I think it is a branch of the main one. The food here is super awesome and I never tire of their lip smacking smoked chicken n pork! Have eaten here around 3-5 times and each time is a better experience..just love the food. But we would be super happy if they would increase the space!
Ankur Db
Nagameez....yes the name is enough to tell its features. Located in Silpukhuri with beautiful interiors. The food quality is superb. Though the rate is comparatively higher but value for money. They should add akhuni chutney too in naga thali.
The Guwahati Foodie
As the same suggest this place offers Ethnic Naga Food. These is one of the Second outlet of Nagameez, the first being located at Jayanagar (Near NERIM). The restaurant has a nice decor with ample space for diners, located centrally at Silpukhuri. One can feel the aroma of spices while entering the place. The menu offers wide variety of options for one to choose from.
We ordered Veg Naga Thali with Dry Smoked Chicken.
However the waitress got our order wrongly put and we were serve Smoked chicken (Gravy) ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿค” but the staff was polite enough and replace our food with the correct order in no time.๐Ÿ˜‡
Well, the food is awesome with authentic Naga flavours , ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜Ž there different types of chutney's and Smoked items are a must try. The house specialize in Chicken/Pork items such as Smoked, Bamboo shoot, Dry fry etc. There is no use of artificial flavours and spices in the preparation and food gives you a totally Yummylicious experience. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Š
๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ
Taste : 4 out of 5
Price: 5 out of 5, ( โ‚น 700-800, for 2 people)
Ambience:4 out of 5
Staff behavior: 5 out of 5
Overall Rating: 4.5 โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ

The food is so good here. I love their momos and thupka. Although the lighting is too much of eye catching, which I don't prefer at all, the taste of the food makes everything perfect. Decent crowd and decent staff. I find their Momos one of the best in town. A very much affordable place also.

One of the few Naga places in town, this definitely has stuck to its word of serving good dishes, naga and otherwise. Favourite is the naga thali, which comes with three chutneys, naga daal, chicken/pork with bamboo shoot and veggies. Love everything. Although the only complaint I have is last time when we ordered for extra daal, we got served with what looked like momo soup infused with a bit of daal. We let it go, considering it was pretty late and maybe they ran out of daal. But as a standard eatery, they should be more aware than that.
Anyway, good place to drop by for the naga khana. :)

This place is near my home so i have been here quite a few times. Clicked no pics though. Ambience is good. Service is good too. But they take lot of time to serve. This place is not pocket friendly. Specially the momos r not worth paying that much for. This is one place you should visit for PORK. All PORK dishes i tried here were really yumm.

Nagameez is located opposite to the Goswami Service Petrol pump. The ambience of the place is good with beautiful interiors. The music played is great!
Coming to the food, love their chicken momos as they are filled with juicy minced chicken and is medium spiced. The soup that comes along is mouthwatering. It is hot and sour. You can see lots of chilli and coriander in it. They have increased the price of their momos recently which I didn't like, only 6 pieces come for 140 bucks! Another favourite of mine is their smoked pork fry. They serve Naga thalis as well, which is worth a try. The food is presented well and everything is hygienic.
The service is good. Prices are a bit on the higher end. Overall, a good place to drop by at times.
All of a sudden, Naga cuisine seems to be the favourite cuisine of Guwahati. And Nagameez happens to be one of the newer additions to this trend. After hearing much about this place, we checked into the place, for lunch. After scanning the menu, we decided to settle for the most-sought after ones. Pork Momo, Pork Chops, Pork Curry with Bamboo shoot and Plain rice. Yeah, talk of being a pork lover.ย

The momos were better than most of the places, serving the same. Thin enclosure with succulent minced pork meat, spiced mildly, made the momos quite a delectable option in the menu. And the same goes for the Pork chops. Cooked to perfection, mildly spiced, the texture was a compliment to the taste buds. Though I would have preferred it a bit spicier, but then wasn't really disappointed with it. But the Pork Curry was a bit of a downer. Here, I was left asking for a bit of more bamboo shoot flavour. And without the pronounced bamboo shoot flavour, to me, it was just another pork curry. ย More so, the curry didn't have much of a flavour that would drag me to the place, for a second time.ย

But what really disappointed me was the service. Not only it took them quite some time to serve the food, but I found the person, handling the bill quite arrogant and almost on the verge of being rude. Yes, we all are facing one problem or the other due to the demonetisation. But that doesn't give the person, if he/she happens to be in the hospitality, the liberty to be rude to the patrons. Quite a disappointment!ย
So, if Nagameez happens to up its service, chances are it be favoured by many more in the town.

Been a devoted Nagameez customer for 3 years or more. Simply the go to place for Naga cuisine in the city. Awesome ambience. Service is great. Their dishes taste absolutely wonderful with a tangy flavour on almost all their dishes. The Thalis may be hot for some people. But if you're a meat lover you will love their food. And lastly their dishes with bamboo shoot are simply heavenly.

Thanks to this place, I wouldn't want to have momos in the regular places anymore. The ambiance was great inside, a fine dine restaurant with courteous staff. We ordered non-veg prok thalis and steamed chicken momos. the momos were, of course, mouth-watering. The thalis had a great deal of ethnic chutneys and sabzis, all good. The food in general was evidently genuine ethnic and was very minimally spiced. It was amazing and I look forward to visiting again to check out the other items.

One of the best places in the city to enjoy ethinic naga food, specially if you are a pork foodie. The ambieance is good, catering service is top notch. Do try out the steamed dishes. They do spice up your taste buds. Pork dry fry is a must try and also try out the pork/chicken thupka.

I heard a lot about nagameez so decided to give it a try. Since I am not too well versed with naga food, I thought it will be better to try their thali. I went for the non veg (chicken) thali and as expected it came with a lot chutneys, boiled vegetables, dal, salads, rice and curry. The aroma from the curry was that of bamboo shoots and I absolutely love bamboo shoot. I wanted to just try the chicken curry first but against my better judgement, I went in for the dal and chutneys. The word disappointment is understated here - it was way beyond that. The chutneys lacked SEASONING, it was bland and insipid and I daresay it was almost boring. As much as I have heard Naga chutneys, they have their own character, an oomph that elevates your palate but here I could not find that to bump up my taste. I was so discontented that I lost the interest to try on the things further. The only thing that was evidently coming through was the heat. However, I decided I must try the chicken salad, and again it was all the same.

At this point, with all the discontentment, impatience started to set in and the food could not keep me indulged into it any longer. However, just for the sake of it lastly, I tried their chicken curry. I was so skeptical that even this was a total displeasure but it was actually not bad at all. Surprisingly, the curry was fiercely hot, the abundant use of red chilies, the tender bamboo shoots and the chicken broth was delicious. The chicken pieces were tender and juicy. Even with steamed rice, the curry was definitely a stand out and that would be the only thing I suggest is worth trying at nagameez.

Service was rather very quick and courteous and the ambience is nice.
