One of a good place to try varieties of Chinese, Japanese, Thai dishes, Sizzlers and even you get a lot of seafood option available. Ambience was great and service was right on time in your table.

The atmosphere here was casual and relaxed with comfortable seating and pleasant decor. It was well maintained, clean with friendly and attentive staff. It has wide range of Asian foods. We ordered Crispy Honey Chicken , Chicken Hakka noodles, Drums of heaven, Chicken Fried Rice. The food was tasty and well prepared with a good balance of spices and flavours. Price was reasonable. Most dishes was in a mid range category. Along with dine-in takeout option is also available here.

Was a little disappointed this time because they did not have Sushi for many days. I had to order Thai pad chow, chilli potato and a mixed vegetable sizzler gravy. The food was excellent, out of this world. The ambience of the place is wonderful. The price is on the lower side compared to other similar places serving the same cuisine. Overall, a vegetarian friendly place with a lot of options. They also serve no onion no garlic food, which is a big plus. The taste is wonderful. Behaviour of the staffs is also very friendly. Would definitely recommend for an asian getaway.

Recently renovated Oriental Bistro is a perfect place for dining with family and place. A place where you will get scrumptious food, warming hospitality cozy ambience all together with ofcourse some good drinking option.

Good restaurant located at a easily accessible place. Varieties of dishes available and it tastes good. Decorated platting is served and also a bar with almost every popular brands. Customer service by the waiters are very good. Only bad side is that, the interiors are not so much decorated. otherwise its a good restaurant cum bar to go for.

The restaurant is in Ulubari, the starters are very tasty and each dish is different in taste,good place for weekends hangout, the staffs are realy well behaved and professional, the rate is quite higher compared to the quantity of food.

What a deal! 4 Beers and 1 NV Starter for Rs799/- Got Fish tandoori as well! Great staff and good environment! Seating arrangement was an issue and It was a mix of Sofa and Chairs. Didn't feel comfortable for two person sitting across the table.

I have celebrated birthday here, food here was quite good, it's a restro pub with a neat ambience and is at the heart of the city (same kfc building lachit nagar to be precise). They have ala carte and also buffet with good spread and taste. Parking is not an issue in the evening, only issue was with the air conditioning and service person. AC was not working properly and also serving people were less that created some delay from starter to main course. Quite hospitable crew and tasty food( continental and Chinese) at reasonable price.

Its located in the busy Paltan bazar streets of Guwahati. Food and drinks are nice. Orders are always served timely. Quantity served is adequate and the flavours and aroma of the food preparation will not disappoint anyone. It's got a valet parking as well. Though, cleanliness should be better. A nice place to visit in Guwahati for a satisfying dining experience.

i ordered Combo ( fried rice, dimsung, prawn red curry). Fried rice was okay in taste and less in quantiy, more seasonings would have made it tasty. Dimsung was tasty👌Thai prawn curry had two pieces and was simply ok. Please improve the quantity.

I just love the buffet menu search there . Starting from their starters in the desert is just really tasty . Initially the price of your buffet was I guess 499 of 450 but later it around increased their buffet price bye about hundred to 150 rupees . increasing the price was not a big deal but they should as well made some changes in their menu the should have brought a bit of variety in the starters and some in the desert and then it would be a really worth appreciating. Overall I really love the buffet served there😋

My first order was hakka Noodles , Mongolian chicken along with 2 dim sum combo and it was really good. Especially the dimsum. Worth the price.<br/><br/>2nd order was today,i.e, dec 2, 2019 and this time i ordered hakka noodles ,chilli chicken along with 2 dimsum combo..i loved it too although the chilli chicken could have been a more better but never mind worth the money again..great keep it up. We ordered fried Pork Dimsum & Pork Thukpa. Dimsum was over fried and was clearly missing tangy & hot momo sauce along with it. Lacking pork flavour as well. Thukpa was super hot & highly uncomfortable for consumption. Overall food experience was bad. Also, 1 dish of Dimsum & Thukpa each cost us 500+! Recommendation: No, Never

Not sure if Zomato is at fault here or the restaurant had provided wrong menus to them but when we went there, the menu was completely different - very few options as to what's there kn Zomato.<br/><br/>They almost have nothing in the name of Japanses food. I have had enough authentic Japanese all across the world so their a was actually a taken aback with their Japanese offerings.<br/><br/>We felt like walking out after seeing their super limited menu but then, decided to stay to try their Sizzler.<br/><br/>Guess what - what the came up with was an Indianized version of chilli chicken served as a sizzler! On enquiring, they said this is how they make a sizzler!<br/><br/>Really? Why call it a sizzler then!<br/><br/>The place almost spoiled our dinner plans. Thankfully, we headed out from there and then had a wonderful dinner at Barbeque Nation, next door!<br/><br/>Not going there ever again!

So finally we went to Oriental bistro today, after having planned to visit this place for quite a few weeks. Tried the chicken pan fried dimsum, chicken hakka noodles and sizzling brownie with ice cream. And for drinks we choose apple tall mojito (I guess). Rating by the food..the dimsums were amazing.. filled with stuffings. The hakka noodles were a little blend for my likings, but it tasted okayish with the complimentary sauces.. the sizzling brownie was delicious (though I burnt my tongue a few times). The mocktail was smooth and refreshing.<br/>Coming to the hospitality of the working staff, it was commendable that they gave attention to each of the guest that came to the restaurant. Though being Sunday there were many guests, the stewardess dropped by our table every few minutes to check if we needed anything or the food was ok.<br/>Overall a good experience.. looking forward to visit again.. hopefully soon!!😍

The combo chilly chicken meal we took away from this place had god knows what in the name of chicken . It was some slimey dough with no meat inside . Now we are scared what we ate . This is serious breach of quality and one should take steps to look into this . I’ve had much better food before and I’m kinda surprised with what transpired this time .

He assured me that the delivery will be done and will update me. My parents loved the food. Nice place . We opted the dinner buffet. They had lots of items needless to say. It was overall a good time for the belly. Starting from momos and lots of chicken starters ..maincourse and then sweet dishes. It was a good one time visit.

Went to this place for a super late lunch with a few friends. Since we were starving, we quickly called for two plates of chicken steamed momos. The momos took about 1 hour 20 minutes to arrive; that too after numerous reminders. For drinks we got salted fresh lime soda and a pomegranate mocktail. The lime soda was a tad too salty and the pomegranate drink tasted like some kind of medicine. For main course we got a prawn and chicken dish, fried rice and noodles. The main course again took about an hour to arrive. The food was pretty decent and the portion was very generous. However, they must work on their service and serving time. They took an awful amount of time to even serve basic stuff like water, condiments, salad and the cheque. Don’t think I will ever go back again.

The interior decor is pretty good and the service is very fast. The food is good. We had the pork ribs and panfried chicken noodles. The Chef's special appetizer is recommended.

Its the finest oriental restaurant in the town with a variety of options. The buffet menu is awesome and a perfect place for a party or a get together. The prawns were perfectly cooked and the drums of heaven were mouth watering which i liked the most. Even the momos were juicy as they ought to be. The service is truly nice with very courteous, polite and helpful staff.

I visited the bistro today, but was highly disappointed with the behavior of the staff members. One of them refused to answer our queries regarding the menu and just literally tossed the menu at us. He acted in frustration and said he had a lot of customers to attend but there were just a handful of people seated in the bistro. Furthermore, he just left in the middle of our conversation and unnecessarily attended another table, while we were still seeking help from him regarding the menu. Later, when we let him know about his behavior, he argued instead, blaming it all on us that we had so many queries. Finally, after arguing for a while, he said sorry but in an arrogant way. This behavior was not expected and isn't acceptable at all, specially from a renowned restaurant like the Oriental Bistro. This was my second time visiting the bistro, and both the times, the service was not satisfactory, this time being the worst.

Quality is the word to describe this place. I can't think of one negative thing about this place. Beautiful as any other restaurant. Great food. I enjoyed every dish we ordered.

We visited for lunch buffet here. The appetizers and soup were the best. We just loved dragon chicken, chicken dumplings, chili paneer and honey glazed potato. The desert was also good. The main course dishes could be better. The staff behaviour was very good. Overall experience was quite good. Value for money.

A very good option for oriental dishes in Guwahati. We ordered zyng zyng chicken sizzler, chicken fries rice, chicken in belacan sauce and pomegranate margarita. All the dishes were well prepared and tasted very good. Staffs were also very well behaved. Highly recommended for chinese and thai dishes.

The best restaurant serving oriental food, I loved everything from food to music and also the bar space. The service was also very good and friendly, helped us in choosing the good combination from the menu. Never had such mouth loving momo, noodles was also even better. We went for buffet lunch and they had quite a good array of food. Tried to try all but couldn't. Had to leave a few items..but overall it was a good experience with polite and well behaved staff, great food, great ambience and a happy stomach.

I ordered the California salmon sushi...it was not at all what I expected. It tasted so bad that I couldn't eat all of it. The wasabi tasted bad,the sushi was bland and poorly garnished. A total waste of money.<br/><br/>Update:<br/><br/>Following my not so good experience the management contacted me with the option to try their home delivered sushi.<br/><br/>This time around I tried their spicy prawn tempura sushi which was much better than my previous order. The sushi tasted much fresher and balanced.<br/>5 stars for the management for their dedication toward customer satisfaction👍👍😆.

I visited this restaurant with my friends one afternoon. The food was super awesome. The taste was really nice. You get Thai, Chinese and Japanese dishes here. Lovely place and nice ambience. Really looking forward to visit this place again.

Really nice and moody place.  The service is quick, always smiling and very friendly. The waiters know everything about each dish and its ingredients, so their advice was really helpful to choose the right dish. We opted for THE DRUMS OF HEAVEN which is one oh house speciality, chicken wings in a special chef sauce. Very tasty. The dish is an appetizer but honestly the portion is so generous it could be served as a main dish.<br/>Then we tried UDON IN TERIYAKI SAUCE ITH PRAWNS which was a real DELICACY. Great Japanese noodles with smooth and very balanced sauce and plenty of prawns and mushrooms and veggies. I just loved the staffs. They were incredibly courteous. Also I loved the expierence. On the day I visited the restaurant, they held some sort of game (or to be more precise "test how lucky you are sort of game") where we were to pick up some sheet from a bowl and get a certain amount of discount on our next visit. Well, I guess I need to blame my luck for I happened to get just a mere 10% discount on my next visit (😂). Anyway, the food was awesome. Music collection was great. Though, the restaurant needs a little renovation. A bit of modification on the ambience can make it look more lively and happening.

Tried vegetarian buffet there. The starters were below average as honey chilli potato was more honey n less chilly and worst spring roll one could have.maincourse taste was good but was not hot like Chinese food supposed to be. May be normal food would be better. Ambience n service was average.

What a place to be for a perfect date or for some celebration... The setting of bar is something that I didn't like at all. But for my dismay the staffs were co-operative, polite and entirely professional. The food tastes good. Though we had a lot of food it will become difficult to choose the best dish but I liked the desserts at the end... The main couse was infact awesome.

The name Oriental seems quite apt for the restaurant because you get a mix of Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Tibetan cuisines in the restaurant. The Kimchi you get here is one of the best in Guwahati because it is made of some of the freshest Chinese cabbages and cucumbers. The food served here goes well along with the drinks available. It doesn't matter if you are here with your friends or family, you will still feel comfortable because there is something for everybody. I prefer going out with friends for food and drinks and it suited me perfectly.<br/><br/>The place doesn't have the unnecessarily loud music which has become ubiquitous in restaurants and pubs in Guwahati. If you are here for something new do give the Chicken Tepanyaki a try. Am not sure if it is cooked in a wok or it's work of authentic Japanese cooking style, the flavour in the sauce seem to really work for the chicken and the veggies.<br/><br/>The service staff is really courteous, but they become a pain in the ass after 9.30 PM as it is a hardr deadline for them to clear the drinks from the table. Though I did not like the desserts here, but I would not recommend against it as my experience would have been a one off incident. We had ordered Brownie with Sizzling Chocolate Sauce. The chef made it sizzle so much that the brownie became a burnt blackie. I won't hold it against the chef because he/she made sure that our pallets and belly was much satisfied with the mouth watering dishes coming out of the kitchen.

Oriental bistro is a reincarnation of a restaurant named Yo China. It's basically a Chinese themed restaurant.<br/>To be honest...I was a frequent visitor of Yo China few years back...but I had visited this new oriental bistro only recently.<br/>I must tell you, I wasn't too happy with the new sitting arrangements or the decor of the place.<br/>I felt the earlier place was much more cosy and had some sort of privacy.<br/>This place looked too bland.<br/>Coming to food, again the food is not bad, but not that great either... considering the costs.<br/>Dumplings aren't of the same size and shape...taste wise they are average considering that each dumpling costs ₹50+ GST (₹300+GST for 6 dumplings)<br/>Other food items also were quite average.<br/>Only good thing I liked about is that alcoholic beverages are of acceptable price.<br/>Service wasn't as good as it used to be! I found it to be pretty average.<br/>Overall, it was an low-average experience.

One of the best interiors and service among all the oriental and Chinese restaurants in Guwahati. As soon as we entered, we were greeted and seated and we didn't have to look for their staff. Visited during the puja rush but their was no dip in their service. Ordered the seafood soup with prawns. The quantity was a bit less and wasn't enough for 2 people to share. Ordered all of the dumplings available. The sui mai was incredible. For main course we tried the butter garlic noodles and Hong Kong chicken. The butter garlic noodles tasted good and quantity was enough. But the quantity of Hong Kong chicken was less according the prices they charge. Nevertheless it was good experience and will definitely visit again to try out their buffet.

This place turned out to be a surprise for me. I was in Guwahati for a brief visit and I had food delivered at my place. Unlike most restaurants the packaging was really good and attractive. The food that I ordered was as good as its appearance. Well, this place serves Chinese, Thai and Japanese. I didn't have the opportunity to go through their Thai and Japanese but I must say their Chinese is authentic.<br/>We ordered Pork Dimsum (fried), Steamed Chicken Dimsum, Beijing Chicken and Double Chocolate shake.<br/>Food didn't disappoint us but what I feel is that Beijing Chicken could have been better.<br/>Ambience is awesome. Polite courteous staff. Good ambience. But the food was a let down. The orange and passion fruit margarita was over the top sweet. So extremely sweet that even two of us couldn't drink the whole of it. We had ordered veg sushi platter. I have had the non veg platter here before which tasted pretty decent. However the veg platter was very poorly made. The sushi roll filling was not even seasoned. The ginger tasted stale and the wasabi had a weird artificial taste. Both of which we had to discard. And the nigiri didn't even have any vegetables on it. Just a plain rice ball with seasoning (pic attached). At first I thought it was a mistake but on pointing out the same I was told that veg nigiri has no topping !😵😱 Not making the mistake of ordering it again. 3 stars only for the well behaved staff, cozy ambience and my past one decent sushi experience.<br/><br/>Update:<br/><br/>Following the not so good experience in my last visit I was contacted by the management with the option to try their home delivered sushi.<br/>I am glad I opted for the same as this time the sushi turned out to be really delectable. The vegetables were fresh and the rice was perfectly seasoned. The nigiri and maki both were made beautifully and looked as good as they tasted. The packaging was also very practical and sturdy and retained the freshness of the raw vegetables along the way, complete with soy sauce dip as well as pickled ginger as sides.<br/>This time I was really impressed with the quality and thoughtfulness that went into making this platter and can blindly recommend the same to anyone. I am eager to try it again on my next visit. 5 stars not only for the food but also the dedication of the management towards customer satisfaction. Keep up the good work ! 👍

I am really impressed with the hospitality of the staff and food was good too........it mainly specialize chinese cuisine and the dimsums were irresistible..

Have been meaning to go to the place for a long time now. The ambience was good, the staff was polite and well mannered. Coming to the most important part which is the food. Okay we had two starters then we ordered rice and sizzler. Beijing chicken was the first item we ordered, it was nice but the quantity was very small. We were told the pieces will be diced, and so they were. All in all it wasn't bad. Next we had the Thai basil chicken. This one was too spicy for me, but my sisters who are into spicy food quite enjoyed. Overall, not a bad item. Then we had the legendary chicken malha sizzler. As expected, the theatricality of the item was maintained. The vegetable were of a wide range. It was quite a tasty dish and though I thought it won't be a proper dish to have with rice but it wasn't bad at all.<br/>So overall, taking into consideration the food, service and ambience I would give 3.8/5 to Oriental bistro. Would definitely visit again.

I visited this place with my friend , and we ordered a veg sizzler and dumplings. It was too good. The ambience was also good and the hospitality was great. They were so humble and warm. Would visit here again soon.<br/>
