Just taste the samosa, coffee, rasogulla (best ever combo ) you will rarely find a samosa like this one......................................
After tiring by strolling around markets in Fancy
Where I often finish my day is in this place.
Trying out varieties of sweets from rashmalai to malai chamcham, Kashori, singra and cup of hot tea which is for sure compulsory.. Must to do in the list always.
One can finid hoards of people into this place often sipping tea coffee.. This time I find in the side centre for milkshakes too.. Dint try but I guess in summer its a good option to pick too..
One of the oldest place for sweets and snacks in the city. Fantastic, delicious, hygienic food. Prompt service. Prices are reasonable.
Recommended for grabbing a quick bites.
Samosa in particular is one of the best there.
Irrespective of the season, this place is always crowded. One of the oldest shop in Fancy Bazar for samosas , sweets , this place serves variety of sweets and alu chop with chutney. LAKHIMI CABIN has always been great and in best location for office collegues or shoppings , both pocket friendly and favourable. My personal favourite is Gaza and samosa with chutney. They have tea options as well .. Theyld still improve on their ambience though.
Must visit for all!
Something that never get old. The place I preferred most whenever in fancy bazar area for a cup of tea and samosa of course. Also Love their patisepta pita😋😋 it's just perfect. Slight change in taste and not as it used to be. but loyalties continues to flock the place as before.
one of the oldest Resturant, the tea that they serve is just so perfect. If ur a tea lover this is a must have place. Their samosa and the chatni with it👌 is one of the best of the town.
Being a cofffelover i love their coffee its great.
Every item they sell is of great quality.
I have been a regular customer at this place . I been fan of their tea, sweets, and tel pitha . The kheer patisepta from this place is really tasty. When you are here must try thwir famous samosa from all time.
There can never be any rating lesser than 5. Its a must visit if you ever come to Guwahati. Samosas over there are the best in town!! Happy munching
We're slowing moving towards a time when the so called SELF SERVICE era is taking over the good old days, when you step into a small roadside restaurant and a person would come up to you to take your order and yes take it without the help of any pen or paper by just asking KI KHABO DADA. These places are either going extinct or are on a downward spiral due to a variety of reasons, not this one though. I remember when I was in Shankar Academy this was my regular spot to catch my morning fill of tea and samosah (or rather saah aru singora)..
Lakhimi cabin's been around since 1945 and the consistency in taste is a testimont to it's longevity...hope this goes on for many more years to come...
This place was opened by person in or around 1945,this place have seen Guwahati transforming from a jungle to a major business hub in North East India,
This place is known for of their SAMOSAS,and I like their coffee too, their hospitality is great,as soon as you pick a table, a server will come to you and place a glass and ask 'KI KHHAABO DA' which is more than enough in this 'self service' era for serving a single samosa....
It is a very old, very popular tea and sweet shop in the prime location of Fancy Bazaar in Guwahati.
Near to the Baptist Church of Panbazar.
You have to take a stand in one of the standing area (FYI there are no seats, stools, plastic chairs etc.), one of their servers would come and take your orders from existing menu. Within a minute you are served accordingly.
Go for the safe options of Samosa/Pyaaz Kachori and Chai. It will be served fast.
You can try the Rasmalai or the Kalakand sweet. They make it fresh everyday.
Established back in 1942, Laxmi Cabin has been a popular restaurant since its infancy. It is located in Fancy Bazaar. Had the samosa and its tea. They tasted average and regular like any other shop. Except the prices were a bit on the moderate to high range, samosa for Rs 17 and tea for Rs 10. But keeping in mind its history, the prices make total sense. 👍
Crowded on rush hour, you have to stand and quick bite...no seating. But it do not matter as the food quality is super! We tried Tea, Shingara and A pink moose for my kid....I can till feel the amusing taste!
Whenever I go to fancy bazar, this is the place for my chai. They have variety of good quality sweets. I often take tea and rasmalai or tea and samosa. There is no place to sit, only standing tables are available. Self service only.
One of the oldest sweet shop of assam.
Around 80+ years old sweet shop.
Famous for its samosas, kachoris with a cup o delicious tea.
Also famous for its soft & juicy rasmalai.
Sweets made of dairy are fresh , soft and very tasty.
You can get fresh chena items.
Also offers fresh paneer.
The location is on spot.
Good place for a cup of tea with friends & family

One of the oldest shops here in Fancy Bazar area. Good to see that the shop is still running after so many decades. The food quality is top notch and its clear by seeing the amount of regular customers it attracts. Its almost all the time crowded. Do eat the samosas as it is very tasty.
