A good spacious place with nice food and service

Momo's quantity was not upto the mark according to the price. Shrimp fried rice was good but pork singaporean noodle was not great at all. Ambience was good and quite. Waiter was polite but lacked some basic etiquettes. Anyways worth the trip just because of shrimp fried rice.

Excellent taste of Chinese food items. Be it fried momo.. Be it steamed momo... Chilly chicken... Gravy noodles... All were simply awesome in quality and taste . Not only food I found the ambience also too good. Probably the best food experience in the region.

I had lunch and it was an awesome experience.the food was very tasty and the restaurant is very spacious. The best part is that the rates are reasonable and the quantity they provide at that price is unbelievable.

Been here multiple times. Though most of the time there were hardly any other customers which is a bit surprising. Otherwise this place is good for a quick bite. Decent food at reasonable cost.

Mandarin is my all time fav place to feed myself with tasty n yummy delicious food. I have tried out many recipes there and all were great. Hygenic, good ambience, friendly staff, cool n calm place.

Only a thing is that its difficult to find the entrance but for me its very easy as I visited there many times ...hehe :))

I have been to this place twice and not been disappointed. This is a place in Christianbasti which serves amazing items. It isn't overpriced and also has good value for money. Service is fine. Ambience is not that great but food tastes awesome. Except for its location, everything is okay. If you are a chinese cuisine lover, do visit this place to have a hearty meal at reasonable rates :)

One of the most authentic Chinese restaurants. Going to this place for a long time. The ambience is great. And the food is extremely delicious.

This place is absolutely horrible. Disgusting and unhygienic. The glasses smell of raw fish. Food is below average. Ambience is very dull and eerie. I tried various dishes, but the Dragon Chicken was the only thing edible, rest were just stale and tasteless.
Sweta Mahanta
Really pretty place. Location is it's drawback. Food is satisfactory. Maybe they should think about shifting location.
I ordered chicken Singapore special. It was good. And the ambience is one of the best in guwahati. Do visit. It's a must.

I have been to this place three times and never got disappointed. I have been craving for momos for a long time and each time I get it from some place, the dough is thick or the sauce not good but they didn't disappoint me. We had fried rice, Singapore noodles, momos , spring rolls and coffee and all tasted good. I think one must go to this place and price is quite reasonable.
The drawback are the location and dim light.
Mandarin Court- I always end up ordering the "mandarin combo" which consists of soup, dimsums , rice or chowmein and two chicken dishes. It costs about 250rs & the good thing is it can satisfy the tummies of two.
Once I ordered rice in the combo & didn't like it much. But the chow is better. Soft drinks are available but if you're looking for dessert, it's a NO, they don't serve.
However it's a good place to hangout for couples & for students to give birthday treats.
This is my second visit here. The major problem is the entrance to the restaurant.Other than that the food's good .The Mandarin platter and the Bar B q pork roast deserves a mention.

This happens to be my third visit here and I am very satisfied with the service and food here.
It takes a bit effort to seek out the restaurant hidden away. However the décor completes the restaurant and you will be glad immediately.
We ordered Chicken Meat Balls Fried, Chicken Five Spice Rub and Pan Fried Chicken Momo for starters and they were real mouth-watering. For main course, we had Chicken Se-Chuan and Thai Spice Fried Rice and they are recommendable. We also had Singapore Noodles, Malaysian Noodles, Hoi Sean Noodles on our previous visits and they left a real good taste and memory.
Great work, guys!

This place left me a little unsatisfied in terms of service. On asking , for almost 60% of the items of the menu , surprisingly the answer was no. At last i had to stick to noodles as others were not available.
Moushumi Das
The biggest issue is not just the food but also the entrance of the restaurant. Had to go from the parking area to a deserted halfway-constructed floor and finally to the restaurant entry. It kinda diminishes the entire purpose of going out to a nice place to eat!
The food is below average. Had chicken Drumstix, chicken momos, chicken Singapore noodles, chicken Manchurian and fried rice. Not one dish stood out. Never going there again.

As the name it goes it tries to give us a retro look but it fails..
It provides us Chinese cuisine which is ok. Not so much of appreciated by the customers...
It is difficult to find the place
Basu Kongkham
It's not easy to find place the location is little hide out area next to Westside the restro is huge with less customer as mention in menu like I ate Thai noddle is not actually a Thai style they are just using the name of it as the restro name is mandarin
Food 2/5
Location 2/5

A good little place located in the suburbs of guwahati, serving some delightful Chinese food... The most striking part has to the decor, one we associate with a good clean and high end restaurant... But the waiters are the absolute opposite (trust me at that) most of them wear uniforms which are in a dire need of a good laundry and some of them are a bit incompetent when it comes to taking and serving orders...
But coming to the main part the food...its very good we ordered for the pecking noodles the barbaqued pork and the Thai fried rice...all of them were wonderful (enjoyed every spoonful)
If anyone ever happens to wander into this place please try the barbaqued pork its an absolute must try...

You can head there if you're looking for some good, authentic Chinese. The food is quite brilliant and your taste buds are in for a ride ! The dragon spring rolls, the man chow soup and wontons are not to be missed. Overall pricing is okay and justifies with the quality and quantity.

I recommend one must visit this place 😊

The food served was quite delicious and quite close to athentic Chinese. Just loved the low spiced food served here. Chowmein served was very delicious and also were the main course. Have visted the place more than once and would like to visit it again.

Went there to celebrate my daughter's birthday , it was an awful experience. They charged very high and the food was awful (they charged even for water!). The snacks were ok but the 'maincourse' that came in later was awful , just because all the kids were alone they gave spoiled food .The fried rice tasted really bad and the quantity of chicken was also very less , afterwards when the adults were having food and some unexpected veg guests came , we asked them to serve them some veg dish and said that we will pay them later , they said that they did not have anything veg ,like how does a restaurant not have things ready and people barely go there ,its mostly empty although being located in the 'heart of the city'. We decided never ever to go there again . Not for the uncooked fried rice atleast.

I've been here once on a birthday invite. I had a good time there, it's spacious, the decor matched the theme of the restaurant & the food served was also quite good. Rated below 4 owing to service

Cozy ambiance... Good food and attentive staff members. Ideal for having lunch/ dinner with family and friends at an affordable price. If you wanna relish authentic chinese cuisine at a pocket-friendly price Mandarin Court is the right place for you.

Lunch with mum and dad, we voted for Chinese and we decided to go with dad's vote-Mandarin Court. Been there quite a few times especially when it's dad's turn to choose when we eat. So yeah it's a family favorite. The location is a true dampener and the downer this time was the fact that the lift wasn't working and we had to climb up three flights of stairs. The restaurant itself is quite spacious but perhaps because of its location it doesn't attract many patrons. As for the food this place has the best chicken momos I have ever tasted. It has a succulent bite to it, with the minced chicken inside just lightly seasoned. It comes with a awesome chilly chutney that I always dunk the Momo in. They have a wide selection of noodles and our favourites are the Rice Noodles and Mandatin noodles. The rice noodles are always lightly tossed with a few vegetables and light on the stomach. The Mandarin noodles again are noodles with a char siu sauce which has a smoky flavour to it and the noodles come with a generous portion of chicken in it. We also ordered a schezwan chicken which again was just rightly seasoned. The portions here are always so generous that one bowl of noodles can be shared between 3 people and I am not kidding! And is it cheap! Our bill came to 1000 and we had 2 chicken momos, 3 cold drinks, the 2 noodles and 1 chicken. I have also tried other items from the menu none of which have disappointed. I recommend the Mandarin Platter which has momos, siu mai, wontons, spring rolls. To sum up, good food at decent prices!

Ambiance is good.. but the place is more dan spacious.. I tried drums of heaven which was very nicely cooked and presented. It tasted good. For the main course i tried chicken fried rice and chicken manchurian, which didn't disappoint me either. Service was very good, the servers very patient and friendly. Best thing is u wil get quality food in a fair price..Overall, a good Chinese restaurant.

Aaaaah! Visited this place because I was craving chinese and Confucious which is my anyday choice for chinese wanted me to wait for atleast an hour. I was heart broken the moment I stepped into the restaurant. It's a huge place, I mean, HUGE place with very few tables. Too spacious, almost giving you an impression that it's a Vivah Bhawan. The name is pretty Royal but nothing inside could match it. The interiors are cheap and wannabe chinese. The food sucked donkey balls. Half of the items were off menu.
Recommended only for people looking for empty space to play football. If you love chinese, do yourself and the chinese people a favour and never visit this place.

If you want to have a peaceful chinese meal away from the hustle and bustle of Guwahati this is where you should head to. It's true that you won't find much people here.
I have no idea why few of the reviews criticised the food because I found the cuisine quite lip-smacking. Basically I am not a resident of this city but various reasons lead me making a trip to Guwahati from time to time.
Have been to this place for around 4-5 times and each visit was a happy time for me.
Ample quantity of food is provided at very reasonable rates. The taste obviously is awesome. A very quiet and peaceful ambience makes it a perfect place to spend time with your near and dear ones.
A splendid place to spend some quality time along with amazing Chinese cuisine.

The first time I visited this restaurant, it was completely empty. There were no customers there with the exception of me. I had ordered mixed noodles and it tasted awesome. The next time I visited it, this time with friends, it was again empty. We ordered fried rice and Manchurian and the dishes were good as well as sumptuous. Recently, I have been frequenting this place for their different varieties of noodles, and I must write that they all tasted heavenly. Nowadays, this place remains filled by customers. People must visit this eatery at least once.

Have been a frequent visitor of this joint and as I must say , the name says it all, the food is the best in all over Guwahati city even compared to top joints like mainland and yo.......I am so overwhelmed with the quantity and quality of food that they serve that I had to write my reviews for others to know and enjoy the food that one can get , plus the ambiance is super cool . The menu itself is mind bordering and the food is just mind blowing.......God knows why Indians don't have the right taste buds and in food too they are after brands ......... My advice to all food lovers is check it out for yourself and don't go on the ratings or under ratings ......Bon Appetite !

Spacious, I can really say that. An awesome place if you want to hang out. The ambiance was really good for me. The food is really of good quality and the quantity is substantial. If you are looking for a place with good food and peaceful time, this is it.

Amidst the hustle and tussle of this busy city..if u want a cozy and joyful dining, you can visit this place. With delightful delicacies and serene environment you can enjoy and munch to your glory with dishes like schezwan prawn and roasted chilly pork! So I would recommend everyone to visit once. Happy Munching!

i love this restaurant.. the food is just great... it is quiet and serene.. in the midst of the hustle - bustle of the city, this place comes as a paradise with heavenly food. the food is delicious with very reasonable pricing. Being a person who travels and indulges in food, i can comfortably say that the food is extremely authentic chinese.
Perfect for a family outing or a quite solitary treat or for couples looking for quite environment with amazing experience.

I have visit this place quite often....The place remains empty usually.. I as well as my friends like the quality as well as the quantity of the food served.. Fried momos as starters are always my fav.. also the prawn fried rice is a delight to your tongue.. chicken items were also so so.. dry chilly chicken and chicken cashew nut are usually good there..the rate is reasonable and is somewhat similar to other Chinese restaurants..they also serve a complimentary starter (but they had skipped it the last time we visited) ..If you want to relax and have your meal out of the Hosh-Posh of the city, then it can definitely be on your list. (i don't know why it has received poor reviews regarding its food)

This is place is just a waste of time and money. I guess it was the worst decision to go for lunch to this place that too on the occasion of New Year. We ordered the food and it took them more than an hour to serve it. After that they messed up the order. We ordered 2 wanton soup, they served one and good that they did so because the soup was horrible. I wonder if it was really a "soup". Then they had no dimsums. My whole motive to go to a Chinese restaurant was to eat dimsums. But they were out of it. We ordered for noodles and chop suey which were average. But they also made a mess with the chop suey. My friends ordered pork, they served chicken.
Worst service, worst food. A horrendous place. Places like this should be shut down.

Not even worth the trouble of going up the stairs to the restaurant... The name is too too too cool but the restaurant in reality is nothing special and is comparable to any small chinese food stalls... If one wants to know how to have a huge carpet area amd still not use it properly... Visit Mandarin Court... I ordered a soup just because my mom told me to as otherwise it would be rude to walk out.... John'z Kitchen, hardly 200meters away is far better...

Had been there on a Sunday evening and to my surprise the restaurant was absolutely empty. It looked like a railway restaurant with just table and chairs and the ambiance was pathetic.
We thought of leaving the place and going somewhere else for dinner. But ended up ordering for veg fried rice, chilly panner and american chopsuey. The food did not taste good, it was just okay.
I was actually wondering that why have they wasted such a huge area in a posh locality with such a bad restaurant.
Neither was the service good and the rates were high for the kind of food they serve.
AD
This place is huge but the food wasn't good at all. We order the Non Veg Platter for starters. Quantity wise was good. The platter had 5 types of starters and two piece each. But it tasted below mediocre. So we did not go forward with the main course. Ambience isn't great, they have ample space maybe they could make it look more appealing. Pricing of food is good but what's really important is that the food should taste good and what is served here isn't good at all.
You could give this place a miss.
