This place is one of the best if you are looking for trying out different flavours of biryani... prices are on the friendly side, quantity they provide is also more than enough...items are really tasty, and fresh even though they might take a little bit time in preparation... the ambience is very quiet with mild music playing in the background... the drinks are great too

I have been to Mughals a few times. Food is really nice and good muglai option in Guwahati. Chicken Afghani is must try. You would really like the jumbo leg pieces and seeing the juices oozing out on your plate. Mutton masala is of mediocre. Stuffed chicken is another nice option in starters. I would recommend to go for Hyderabadi Biryani over Kolkata one as the later one is pretty plain. I really like the small trivia about Biryani, Kebabs etc. in their menu. It's a good read in the waiting time. Staffs are well behaved and I like the gesture of the manager who came in person to apologize for the delay in service which was not communicated at the time of order by the waiter for the nature of the order. Overall, very good option for halal mughlai food in Guwahati.

Mugals- Taste Meets Tradition is situated on the road side of Wireless, Beltola road, with a distance of 3km from the capital. The Restaurant is in the 1st floor of Kanchan Complex just near the Land Revenue office. Mugals- serve the customers with well behave and they treat very honest while dealing. Maintenance is also seen hygiene. Menus contain lots of food items. Affordable food with good ambience. The Restaurant is best for the non vegetarian. Biryani is very special here. Love to visit again sometime..!! 😋

Food available is nice here... Although a but costly but you can have really a great mean here. A wide variety of choices are available from where we can chose one and then we have to wait for some time.. And then When the food finally comes here we go. Thos place is nice, quite clean and staff is also good, Hand washing basins are also available and washroom is also here. It's like a mini 3 star hotel but for a 3 star category hotel i give it 4 out of 5 points. If the price would have been quite reasonable i would have lived to give 5 stars.

As far as biryani is concern around beltola area, this is the place to be in. Lot of options available with customized menu and reasonable price. Food is really tasty. Quantity is good, in fact better than other similar places. Service is above average. Again, four wheeler parking would be a great hurdle, specially during evening hours. During lunch and dinner time, online food delivery guys makes really annoying crowd. And because of them the dine-in customers have to wait long, really long!! Service, ambience is satisfactory. Be ready with cash as most of the times there card payment option troubles. (In my case twice out of my 5 visits so far). Good place, you won't be disappointed for sure.

One of the most under-rated restaurant in the heart of guwahati city. Forget the dum bryani you have tasted in Mast biryani, have a taste of the Kolkata dum biryani Mughals serve, they are quite comparable... Loved their authentic taste, though other menu items are decent.. This place is fairly priced and located in the beltola main street which is quite accessible for anyone.

Faltoos.. Even the roadside street stalls serve better food than them.. All you pay here is for the lights and sitting.

We recently visited this amazing place called "Mughals - Taste Meets Tradition" . We ordered - Veg pulao , Butter nan , Rara Murg , Chicken tandoori butter masala (full) , Paneer butter masala. The food was delicious and the staff was responsive. The interior had a wonderful ambience. Overall it was a good experience and would love to visit again.

Ordered for a Mini Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani. In the name of Biryani it was coloured rice with a very small piece of chicken which was mostly a bone with little meat on it. Restaurant management strictly needs to have a look into what is served by what name. It was a total disappointment on receiving the order which was meant for lunch. Hope this is taken care of. I will never order again here nor will recommend anyone to.

Definitely one of the best places for having biryani. The Hyderabadi Biryani is too good. Even though I've ordered a few other things too, like chicken butter masala, butter naan and reshmi chicken butter masala, but their hyderabadi biryani is worth tasting.

Liked it the first time we went, back when it opened. The biryani and tandoori chicken were good but over time, the quality has fallen. Although still tasty, there are better places with better biryani at similar prices.

One of the good place to have Kolkata and Hyderabadi dum biryani in town. One can enjoy every flavours of every ingredient in every bite . A half plate is enough to fill an empty stomach, quantity wise it’s very good, even quality is also good. I loved the pheerni and the Afghani chicken. This place in town is simply the best food corner if you are the North Indian food lover.

I ordered butter chicken, butter naan and Hyderabadi biriyani. Food was good, however, Gajar ka halwa was too sweet for my liking. Also, the place could do a bit more with cleanliness. Over all the ambience was good.

A great place to have mughlai food. They serve good biryani with two big pieces of chicken and one boiled egg.<br/>Peas pulau was best..so mild and yummy. I had butter chicken it was good too. Butter naan was great only problem was with the tandoori roti. It was immensely salted.<br/>

One day I had ordered to eat food from these restaurant (home-delivery).<br/>I had ordered the mutton Rogan Josh and rice,but the taste of Mutton Rogan Josh was very poor, Mutton's test was very old and the mutton was crancy like chew gum.<br/>so I ate only one byte and the rest food I throw. Mughals opened up some years back and has built up a name for itself. It's located close to my home though I have to confess, I've visited it only a couple of times. They are well known for their Biryaani items but to be honest their offerings are inconsistent - sometimes the taste and preparation is spot while sometimes it's plain okay. All things considered, Mughals continues to be a consistent presence and is considered as one of the topmost places in Beltola area for some good old fashioned Biryaani.

Ordered Hyderabadi Chicken Biriyani through Uber Eats and I'm glad that it didn't turned me down. The taste was good and the it arrived warm. The chicken was tender too and rice was well cooked. The raita perfectly balanced the spices of the biriyani with it's tangy and sweet taste.

Ordered Mutton Roganjosh yesterday night but received half cooked mutton. The quality of food has been going down. Last order from this place. Pathetic.

Ordered Veg Jalfrezi, Bhuna Murgh and Garlic Naan. The Veg Jalfrezi was just too much oil and spice. Didn't get any taste there. Garlic Naan was almost like a kulcha which was so heavy and just became like rubber in like 5 mins. No taste, not even a hint of Garlic in it. The most shocking thing was when a half plate of Bhuna Murgh which costed me 180 rupees just had 2 pieces of chicken (more bone less flesh) and the gravy was just what was coated in the chicken. Worst idea to order from this place. No taste and definitely nothing related to Mughlai Tradition.

I ordered this Kolkata Chicken Biryani last night through Ubereats. I loved how it tasted. The quality and quantity both matched to my level of expectation. But the only thing that didn't go well was the fact that they didn't provide the raita which was later being served to me by my mom, all thanks to her.

Who orders two pieces of chicken. You should at least keep minimum 4 piece for half plate. 1 star is only for the quality which was ok. But seriously you guys need to improve your quantity. Not ordering again.

Well the mughlai dishes are quite good specially the mutton items..Have to say the newly started Chinese menu is quite good too.But they do should add chicken and mutton momos in the Chinese menu.

This place has always been a favourite. The Kolkata biriyani, both chicken and mutton, and the Hyderabadi chicken biryani is a treat. Chickem butter masala is lovely. The chicken Shahi korma is also amazing. The butter naans are lovely. So soft and so yummy. Keep up the good work guys.

The taste of the food is quite good with an authentic taste and the biryani also needs a special mention for that. The price is little on the higher side. The service is fine but the overall ambiance and the lighting of the place can be improved to bring a more classy look.

I always wanted to come here as its situated nearby my location. Anyways i got to order kolkata style biryani from ubereats. We ordered 2 half biryanis and yes quantity was good. The rice was basmati. But you guys should not have betrayed us with the chicken pieces. It was bone and nothing else. Whatever lil chunks of chicken was confined with the bone was not even properly cooked. We will not blame ubereats for this as they just take the orders from the resturents. But cheating on every one is not good. Even the raita had some different kind of a smell.

My 2 stars goes for the service and the one star for the taste.The staff is overall way too polite and prompt. I've been a regular customer of this place for the past 2 years or so and tbh the food was very good right from the start. But of late, the taste has degraded drastically, and I would like them to take a serious note on this subject. For instance,this afternoon I ordered for a chicken tandoori butter masala which turned out to be of average quality. But the main highlight here was the shahi paneer which was sour and the gravy wasn't upto the mark. Unsatisfactory Mughlai Food. Ordered Chicken Kassa and Mutton Rogan Josh. Both gravy looked and tasted same. Both were spicy, oily and was not delectable to say the least. The Butter Naan was too rubbery, lacked butter and vague. (It looked like the regular Naan on steroids) Chewing it was good for jaw exercise. Only saving grace was the Afghani Chicken that tasted authentic and succulent. Also no complimentary salad and chutney were provided.<br/>My Verdict: Next time you feel the urge for Mughlai Cuisines, say NO to Mughals — where taste meets stomach burn.

They do serve one of the best Biriyanis in town (Kolkata Style) but definitely not the best as some suggest. Ambience is good enough for families and youngsters alike. Location is great as well. Pricing is standard for the quality and quantity.

Ordered Chicken Hariyali Kabab and Two Kadhai Chicken through Home delivery at night on 28th of April. Green Chutney provided with Hariyali Kabab was too salty. Gravy in the Kadhai Chicken was too less and considering the price the chicken pieces were small. Utterly disappointed considering the reputation of the restaurant.

After listening to all the good reviews we went there last night to celebrate my elder brothers birthday. When I companies about it they took back the Biryani and got us one Chicken Kolkata Biryani and one Mutton Kolkata Biryani (again to my disappointment, it was not at all a good Biryani as we found the taste to be very pale and blunt)!<br/>Sorry Mughals we went disappointed from your place last night. Last year you got GPLUS food awards of best newest entrant in the market but I dunno what happen to you after that. Please try to correct all these. Thank you.

This place is located in the first floor of Kanchan Complex near Survey. Went there a couple of times and found the food really good.<br/><br/> Loved their Chicken Razela, Tandoori Chicken and Paneer Hariyali kabab the most. The chicken was properly marinated and cooked to perfection. I didn't quite like their Kolkata dum biryani and the naans. The naans were super thick but thankfully soft! <br/>I love the place overall for their delicious Indian food. <br/><br/>The service is pretty good and the staff are welcoming. Looking forward to try their mutton dishes!<br/>

Was hearing of this food outlet for a very long time... today i did order the Non-Veg Combo which consist of Mutton Biryani, Chicken Butter Masala, One piece Chicken Reshmi Kabab, Half piece Butter Nun(though their was no hint of butter) and Firni.... The biryani is tooo bad... no taste at all... the mutton piece had no meat at all...just the bones and i did found some crumbles of potato in the biryani... the chicken butter malsala was ok ok with a small piece of chicken... but the Firni was awesome... i could not eat any of the thing but only eat the firni though i was too hungry... the combo pack was not a good idea for me to order... and i recommend not to order the combo meal...you will be dissappointed... and yes...i separately ordered Pudina Paratha.... gross... tooo bad... it was a stale one... no taste... the Combo pack was not hot at all... it was cold.... if you are not willing to serve the Combo pack then list out it from the menu... or increase the price so that you give a good quality food... very much disappointed today to MUGHALS... i will order again some other item rather than the combo meal... and i will again rate it...<br/>Moreover.. today i.e. on 14/03/2019 tried the Hyderabadi Mutton and Chicken Biryani.... it was worst... too oily..even we can make under dish from it... worst experience again!!! Mughals, simple not so authentic but not bad as well. Went there after a long day of house shifting and was extremely hungry. Asked for few dishes which was not available. I've never visited this restaurant but have had food delivered at my place on a couple of occassions. Hence, my rating is solely based upon the quality of food and the home delivery experience. I find their food delectable and would personally recommend to try the non veg combo thali, especially if you want food delivered at home (for self), as it also eliminates the task of doing the dishes. Vegetarian dishes like Navratan Korma & Paneer butter masala are also woth giving a try. Home delivery is good, fuss free and delivery is completed on time.

I ordered Mutton Lucknowi Biryani and Chicken Rezala from this place. Although the delivery service was appreciable, the quality of the food however, wasn't up to the mark. The Biryani was bereft of good succulent pieces of mutton, as the ones I had in my Biryani didn't quite meet these needs. Secondly, the chicken Rezala was lagging behind in flavor as well, it was a little too sweet for me. It wasn't all bad, but could have been better. The Biryani lacked those bold flavors that you usually expect in a Biryani as well. And they didn't serve Raita with it (I am assuming that they must have forgotten or they don't provide some with their Biryanis at all, neither of which is a good thing!). The one positive thing about this restaurant however is that the prices are on the lower side, so you won't feel like burning a huge hole inside your pockets. Having said that, I hope that they do work upon the quality of their food. Cheers!

First time in Assam tried some great delicious actual Mughlai cuisine. Some great menu options if you are for Non Vegetarian Mughlai food. It has flavours of the Nawabi food from Lucknow.<br/><br/>

Loved the biryani of this place. The ambience and lighting was very nice despite being next to the all-busy n noisy Beltola Road. Definitely deserves another visit.

Perfect home delivery...Everything was nice...Price is okay...Lekin quantity kam thi...Chicken ki pieces aur dena chaiye tha....and roti should be two atleast...

This place was lot better before from Price and Food perspective. But now the taste deteriorated and the price my god. We ordered reshmi kabab which was priced almost 200 and pieces were unbelievably small and also the same happened for butter tikka masala. When asked before they said pieces will be medium size but disappointed as they were smaller than served by any roadside eatery.
