Review Naga Kitchen - Guwahati

Prithwiraj Deb
As always Naga Kitchen doesn't disappoint. Love their thalis and pork platter. The service is also good. What I would also like is for them to have an all you can eat buffet priced at a higher price.
Aten Jamir
If you want to taste authentic Naga food in Guwahati you have to give Naga Kitchen a try. The food is really good, especially their smoked pork. The staffs are also very friendly and polite. The interiors have some authentic Naga arts and costumes and its ambience is quiet and relaxing.

If you want to try something authentic and delicious then try the smoke pork with Akhuni is the best item..... The momos are equally tasty... I will prefer the pork momo more than the chicken ones.....
Subham Debabrata Borah
Good place to have authentic naga food at a reasonable price.

It's a good place to fill your stomach. The food is good but not very authentic naga food. But still it's fine
Debasish Baruah
Tasty naga traditional dishes are available here foods are spicy, all items are very delicious. I recommend to taste their crispy pork fried.

If you really crave for authentic cuisines, Naga Kitchen is an absolute place. It brings you the authentic recipes from Nagaland. Special delicacies include smoked pork in bamboo shoot, barbeque pork, bamboo chicken, joha rice preparations are a must and lot more to explore. Rate this restaurant as one of own personal favorites. To add, the staffs are courteous.

Not bad. Ambience is good for couples. Decorations also good. For naga food lover it is good. But price to little expensive. Lighting is low. No washroom except basin only.. pork is too good.. but other food is jst ok... Good for family for couples. Need some improvement in washroom, food quality and service
Nabanita Roy
This place is quite peace. The interior inside will make you feel relax. Food and service is very good.

Enjoyed every bit of it. Keep it up.

I have ordered pork thali from Naga kitchen, 2 of the items were missing and the food quality is deteriorating day by day.
Samuel Wangchu
Very disappointed by Naga Kitchen.. I order this smoke pork for Rs- 434 and you give only this much and even the spoon was also broken!

Worst Food Ever Bullshit

It's a great place for ethnic Naga cuisine, loved the food and the ambience of the place. The traditional chutney they provide is one of the best!
The Coffee Addict
Wanted to try some authentic Naga food while at Guwahati.Β Thankfully Naga Kitchen was about half a kilometer from the hotel I stayed.
the ambiance was nice. pleasant interiors with Naga arts, artifacts and weapons displayed on the walls.I ordered for Smoked pork dry with dry bamboo shoots, Naga pork curry and rice.Β The smoked pork dry with dry bamboo shoots is the best I have ever had. This was in fact so good that I forgot to eat the curry for the while. The curry was good, but probably as good as the ones I have had in the Naga restaurants at Bangalore .Β I asked them to give me a couple of servings as a takeaway. my folks at Bangalore loved the dish.Service is very good. In fact Sunita who served me was polite, courteous and helpful.Β Probably sensing the only South Indian in a crowded Naga restaurant, she checked if all was well once a while! In fact she ensured I had less fat in the dishes served.
Prices are pretty reasonable. I understand the difficulty to get the Smoked pork dry with dry bamboo shoots right so 320 bucks per dish is reasonable.

Had to leave the whole food, worst food and worst service ever. The dal ordered tasted as if it was a week old, extreme sour flavour. Wrong item given. Communication gap between customer and waiter, the waiter did not understand a single word. Overall a disastrous experience.

This is one of my favourite place to have a good soulful Naga meal. It is also Guwahati's one of the oldest places to serve Naga Cuisine. I always order their smoked pork chilli (must try). Tiny pieces of pork fried with tomatoes and onions is to die for. I love their chutneys too. I recently ordered smoked pork with celery which was very good, non spicy and the flavour and taste of fresh celery was there. A very light stew with smoked pork chunks and fresh celery which I had with rice and chilli. Amazing and Satisfying! Keep it up guys
Pritika
My favourite place in Guwahati for Naga food! I’d recommend getting the traditional Naga pork/chicken, I prefer the smoked. Pairs well with steamed rice, and Naga veggies. It’s on the spicier side of things!
Tirthankar Bhattacharjee
Was known for quality food but unfortunately no more a paradise for healthy food. Fresh vegetables have spouts, you order something and you will be delivered something totally different which you can't even taste.
Tanaz Parveen
it was very bad experience.. there was a bad smell of everything.. I feel disgusted
Noopur Baruah
Have been to this place so many times and it's been a wonderful experience everytime. Friendly staff and the prawns they serve are just wow. Highly recommended.
Pallavi & Priyanku
I just had the most pathetic local chicken in my life.
What a waste! 6pieces of chicken fried with one/two onions, half tomato, one green chilli and ZERO flavour.

No, never a next time.
Tapasya Sarma
Ds restaureng did vry bad service with me..I ordered fish fry ,rupees 158... heavy cost....but there were only two medium size fishes in d packet which were fully bad scented,..they gave me d food of many days ago..
Deepjyoti Jorn
The thali is the main speciality here.. Other items are not that good.. The ambience is good and the manager is very friendly.. You gotta love this place for the service.
Kenny Nia
The food are good but the only complain I have is regarding the quantity of the food that we get compared to the price we are paying.. Other than that its good
SUMIT DAS
This place gave me my first experience with the oink variety of meat & that turned out to be pretty good. Naga food despite the use of very minimal spices has a distinct taste of its own & the place does justice in its part of bringing forth that taste to your tastebuds. Not much to complain on the food front. Ambience, like the food goes subtle yet soothing on you.
The only qualm which I have every time I visit their outlets is the food pricing compared to the quantity of it served. Its somewhat overpriced & with other options opening up which are equally competent ( if not better) to Naga kitchen on the taste front, this might be the only issue which might take me away from this otherwise gem of a restaurant.
Rajesh Chutia
Good range a variety of food, had the opportunity to taste it in many occasions. But it can only be preferred when you are not in any kind of diet. Good food. #nagakitchen
Tridip Das
I took the pork platter and its scrumptious.Anyone with a good appetite can go or order from this place. The food is healthy and hygiene. Not to mention the tasty black rice pudding.Slurp.
Saroj Baruah
3 star not because the food was bad or something but they do not have option for half quantity. I like to take various pork dishes but couldn't finish them. I hope there will be option for half portion in the future.
Mrinmoy Biswas
Totally unprofessional. They did not accept the order for 40 mins and when I called the agent, he informed the restaurant had already closes and the place is locked. But I rechecked and saw the status of restaurant was updated to closed. If they could update the status to closed, why did they not reject my order. Not recommended.
Hemo Daimary
The food is jz wow.. n after they hv connected to zomato...home delivery is possible n itz amazing... they packed it so well
... I enjoyed a lot the food... πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚
Zwngthie Basumatary
The food is nice and healthy, always. The boil veggies are awesome and well, the spiciness adds flavour to it. Pork and chicken are good too.
Chandsmita Das
Totally taste less chicken bamboo shoot curry😒 I have ever eat... I reapt guys don't waist your money.. Quality of the chicken bamboo shoot is zero... 😒 I will never order again from you guys
Rahul
Am happy with the service.

Great ambience, very good service and awsome foods. Service is fast, overall very satisfying. Great place to have lunch dinner with family and friends.
Kishalaya Bhattacharjee
The first restaurant to popularize naga food in guwahati. haven't been there since 2011.But based on my memoryΒ food was good. loved pork with bamboo shoot curry.
Birty Terangpi
Excellent food. My lunch experience was great, even celebrated my birthday there. Would love to visit again for sure. Hoping I can buy some dry wild apples there.
Kaifi Hamza Ahmed
good food, well behaviour of employees.... very friendly and humble...... prices are higher than any other naga restaurants.... and they make awsome chutneys
Michael Deori
Giving 3star only for the food. The receptionist was well behaved but a bit creepy. I don't know why..but after serving the food he came to see every now and then that we have finished eating or not. As if he had no seats left and customers are waiting. We felt so annoyed that we left without finishing half of our meal. And its not that he was coming to rifill our bowls ...it it just that he wanted us to leave soon!
Wheels N Spoons
locating this place is a bit difficult unless u use ur gps if u r new in the city as it's a inside a lane. food is good and service is impressive. naga traditional interiors inside.
Siddhartha Saikia
No offers are provided even though it has been listed on the app.

Food is good but pricey. The same cuisine can be found on other places at a more cheap rate.

Service is very good.

I guess only problem they have is they have to revise the listing. I represented Zomato n went over there for a lunch, was a 60/40 experience. 60 on the good side.
Pranjal Senapoty
Best collection of smoke pork cuisine. Specially smoke pork chilly fry...πŸ‘..after all they the pioneer in Naga cuisine in Guwahati. I have start eating in this place since inception....at that time they use to use there drawing room to serve food...with one sofa set and a dining table....use to serve food in wooden plates and wooden bowl...I really like it ...they have come long way and have good experience in Naga cuisine...

Naga kitchen in zoo road is, perhaps the first restaurant that popularised the Naga cusine in Guwahati. It has been there since many years now. There has been many ups and downs regarding the the quality and quantity of the food...but still it's a decent place to grab a meal. (Read- If you want to eat rice and pork)
Review
Food- I had been visiting this place since last 7-8 years, initally they only served northeastern/Naga themed foods...but now they have started serving various Asian inspired items like Hakka noodles, thupka etc.
Still this place serves a good Naga pork thali.. although the amount of pork has decreased..still, taste is decent.
I simply loved their grilled pork, smoked pork fry, pork with lai haak, pork with bamboo shoots.
I tried pork with axone...it was good ...but little too strong for me.
Costs are moderate.
Ambience- its actually a house which they had converted into their restaurant..it's decent and cosy.
Their washroom was not upto mark.
Service- staffs are good and service is quick.

Overall, Naga kitchen is still a good option if you want to have a wholesome meal with rice and pork for lunch or dinner.πŸ˜‹
It might not be a good option if you wanna have some quick snacks or fast food items!
Dhruv Bharadwaj
Ordered two items from the menu for home delivery. Pork with bamboo shoot and Pork dumplings. Paid 500/-, which included delivery & packing charges plus taxes.
I must say it was worth it.
A big thank you to the chef and not to forget the delivery person. # Naga Kitchen # keep up the good work.

It is in a tiny lane in Zoo Road that i wouldn't have discovered hadn't it been for my friend who has a knack for finding places with amazing food.
It is not like the usual restaurant with fancy decor or luxurious furniture, but instead it manages to give a warm homely vibe.
The service can be a little slow at times though.
But otherwise, you can just take your time and have amazing conversations with your friends or just take a break to have some amazing north-eastern food and do your pending work (this i say because most of the times i have been there, it hasn't been very crowded).
One of their dishes, pork with some kind of gravy (forgetting the exact name), is the staple food item i order whenever i am there.
Maddie
We arrived here for our lunch...
The place is a few paces within the main road.
It serves the traditional naga delicacies along with pan Asian foods.

We tried out the steamed pork dumplings. It was definitely different from what is found in West Bengal. The cutney was awesome. The dumplings were tender and well cooked and pretty big in size.

The dry pork cooked in bamboo shoots and mushrooms was another delicacy. It had a soury flavour from the bamboo shoots. The aroma can't be compared with anything else.... It was heavenly... One has to try it out to get the flavour.

For the main course we went for their day's special pork cooked in lai leaves and boiled rice. This was one hell of a dish. The pork was awesomely cooked. Big boneless chunks of meat. The lai leaves were something great. The curry was absolutely different. It was light and very delicious. It had a punch of flavours. With the boiled rice it tasted finger licking good.

The mixed noodles was a Chinese preparation and had chicken, prawn, pork, egg, peppers. The noodles were beautifully prepared with no excess oil or no oily smell. Alongwith it we had ordered the pork cooked in the house special sauce. Again the meat was awesomely cooked and it was delicious. The gravy was light was very good.

The portions served were huge. All these well fed four adult hungry foodies.

We were satisfied to our souls. Our trip to the north the east received a closure with this wonderful meal..

Located next to my house, I am a regular customer of Naga Kitchen. Earlier it was not so good. But now they have improved a lot. Their chilli garlic prawn is to die for😍😍 crispy chilli baby corn & chicken hakka is also very tasty. It has a peaceful environment and its a good place to spend quality time with your loved one. The staffs are very good.
Kalivi Shohe
Great ambience ,friendly staff love their axone and pork .it's pocket friendly too. Specially place for axone ,pork and bamboo shoot lovers .

These days there are alot of a restaurants serving naga or naga style cuisine but this for me is probably the first and still the best one out there...
It's Abit expensive but if the food's good than that's always secondary...a must visit for pork lovers not so if one's not, as the chicken dishes are not that great..a must try is the grilled pork(basically all the pork items are delicious to say the least but this one's not to be missed)
Pratik Dey Sarkar
Been here umpteenth times. Once you enter here gives you an aroma of the Bambooshoot and the essence of Bhoot Jolokia (Ghost Chilli Pickle). All items recommended by the managment would be worth a try as you won't be disappointed. My best pick Pork with Akhuni based and Fresh Pork with Bambooshoot. Also Pork with Lai Leaves is also worth a try. please don't forget to try out the grilled Pork for sure...

Disclaimer : This place is stirctly for Pork lovers.

Cheers...!!! Keep the great job Team...

Manjil Saikia
Been here a couple of times and have enjoyed the food on all occasions. I would suggest any chicken and pork dish on the menu. The style of cooking might take a bit used to if you have never tried Naga cuisine before, but its worth it.
Jeetamrit Phukon
A bitter experience. Its not the place that used to be. Just minting money by fooling customers with their so called naga kitchen tag. Overpriced, even street momo is better than their dumplings. I would not visit it again to waste my money.
Sanjukta Dutta
sad state of affairs. I was so crazy about their pork that we use to frequently order for home deliveries. today again I ordered for the usual smoked pork chilli dry and called them at 7.30 pm. They committed to deliver by 8.30 pm. sadly it reached at 9.10 pm and as hungry souls reached for the food. the pork was bland.....no chillies not the way it use to be.
I feel the food they serve is very mediocre.
they really need to buckle up orelse the glory of the past will fade away.
Joel
Food: I ordered pork ribs and Naga Pork thali. The ribs were ok but cut down on the fats. The Naga pork thali was disappointing, I have had better bamboo shoot pork at low priced restaurants. At this price, taste of food could be a little bit better.

Service: service was good, they were courteous.

Ambience: located at the corner the place is calm. It is decorated with Naga artefacts. But a bit too crammed for me.. Tables are too close to each other.
Dipti Medhi
Whenever i crave for good authentic Naga food, ...Naga Kitchen is the place to be...esp their smoked pork wth akhuni and anishi is to die for. Whoever have not tried Naga Kitchen yet...plz, do give it a try.

An awesome place to hang out with your loved ones. Awesome food. Best place for pork lovers. Had a little problem locating the place.I would like to suggest a proper signboard but besides that the food and service is superb! Will visit again.
Bhargav Gogoi
I am not an expert on Naga cuisine but this place serves really good authentic food. If you like your pork spicy or smoked, then this is the place you should visit. Also this is one of the few places where you get pork ribs. A must visit restaurant for pork lovers. The menu is really huge.
Pranjit Das
Had a bit of confusion locating this place... They changed the entrance to the other side of the road... Naga kitchen greeted me with the typical smell of Akhuni... Exterior typically looks like a guest house... But the interior is nice and calm... Ordered SMOKED PORK WITH DRY BAMBOO SHOOT AND AKHUNI, MIXED HAKKA NOODLES, STEAMED RICE and boiled mixed vegetables.. The Hakka noodles were just awesome... Pork dishes with akhuni typically comes with a smell but still its good once ur taste buds get accustomed to it...
Was a bit disappointed when they informed me that the dumplings are not available... Price is reasonable compared to quantity... The staff is very generous and courteous... Has a parking space just in front of it... Ambience is better in the Six mile outlet...
N.B. - Washroom is outside the restaurant!!!
Jahnabi Phukan
Since naga cuisine is my another favourite, I love to be here whenever I feel like to have. Its service is good, and most important food is healthy no added spices.
Mofidul Hussain
Either price should be low or the food should taste better. Better naga restaurants are there in guwahati. Ambinence is good. Service is ok ok.
Kasturi Kashyap
Its like a walking distance from my home so sometimes if i get bored eating the same food i go ans hog their good food tasty too quality and quantity both is well maintained
Savi
I happened to visit so called 'Naga Kitchen' and it turned out to be so disappointing. I ordered the dish(pork with bamboo shoot). The meat was not fresh and it was too soft. I should say it was meant for old people who don't have teeth. I have never experienced such types of Naga dish till now. I hope they wont repeat the same mistake again.Β
And also for a litre of mineral water they charged Rs.30

My first experience in Naga Kitchen becomes the worse one.
Rupam Gogoi
Naga Kitchen at AIDC provides excellent food in a pocket friendly budget. I have been to many restaurants serving Naga food in Guwahati and other cities outside Nagaland but there is something in Naga Kitchen that makes the taste buds crave for another round of dining there. Besides that they also sell goodies like pickles etc. My pick is dried wood Apple. Overall impression: quality food, cosy ambience, affordable priced.
Swagata Saikia
Lovely interior with a very peaceful surrounding. The staffs are very friendly. Have knowledge about the whole menu.
The foods are worth the price. They serves a lot.

We ordered naga veg thali. Pork chilly dry and naga veg local fish. It was very tempting. And the quantity was very large.
Overall had a very good experience one again.😊
Foodieforeverandever23/Kabyashree
Naga Kitchen would be loved by everyone who goes crazy with pork .. You guys should visit !
It's an authentic restaurant serving you traditional Naga delicacies .
I love their smoked pork with bamboo shot , the smoked chicken dry fry ,the grand chicken Naga thali which is tempting , chicken and not to miss is the akhuni chutney.
Overall it's a big πŸ‘ and I recommend everyone who loves non veg ..
Manjushree Laskar.
Hard to be located if you haven't been here before, off the main road, in a small byelane.
Affordable and awesome food, good service. Pork dishes here, are yummier then I ever tasted anywhere.😍
Twahir Alam
The location of the place is a bit inconvinient and off the main road but had ample parking space which very few resturants in Ghy can boost of. Also, the resturant is amply sized with a good ambience. A cosy and dim lighting adds to it. The food is very truely authentic Naga and anyone wanting tht would not be dissapointed. For non-pork eaters, the boiled veggies and fish are very good to try. Also, the chutneys add to the taste of the food but anyone not into Naga cusine would nit like it at all.
Jyotishman Sharma
The trend of Naga cuisine becoming a favourite has been gaining ground fast and Naga Kitchen is the pioneer of the same. This particular Naga Kitchen is the pioneer of pioneers and my word, have they maintained their status or what. This place was someone's home and you instantly feel like home. You also instantly connect to your platter. Try any of those pork dishes and also try some fish. The pork ribs is my anytime favourite though. And yes, as you leave, do take one of those pickles along.
Thanks.
Kirti Taye
If you're a pork lover then this is the place to be, the meat cooked is so tender. Other than the pork items I found the mix noodle really good. Though may be a bit overcharged, the food is soul satisfying.
ATRI GANGOPADHYAY
2 points to note:
1. Not for veggies
2. Don't come if you don't like Pork

By far the best pork I have ever tasted.
Situated in the front room of a residence. You have to know it to find it. They do not actively advertise. But once you have been there, you would want to come again and again.
Fast service, budget friendly.
Do try their Smoked pork and Pork with bamboo shoot
Dibakar Das
Naga kitchen!! It was a paradise 4 -5 yrs back. But now I think they are overcharging their every item. The good thing is that they sometimes provide home made rice beer.
Ashish Baruah
Wonderful ambience and regional themed interiors. Momos were awesome as was the smoked meat preparations. Staff was cordial and serving time was around 10-15 mins.
Sujay Bharadwaj
Ummmm, being an avid pork lover, this place is a treat for me. I simply love the assamese thali and the authentic naga dishes. Ambience is awesome.
Tashi Norbu
Nice Ambience.. order takes a lot of time, which is a lil frustrating. Food is decent..not great. Recommended for people who loves Nonveg and Naga Foods. But don't expect too much.
Nabin Dutta
Just flavouring your boutique with bamboo shoot odour is not going to help. Change the staff and get original Naga chef if you're to maintain the level of quality
Sayan's Gastronomy
I have been there with ma bros.& frns.. For lunch.. Ohh.. Really an awesome place to raise ur taste buds towards Naga cuisine.. Nice ambience a traditionally Naga style.. Nice service.. And great food.. Smoked pork with bomboo shoots is signature dish.. As well as the smoked dry chicken with red and green pepper.. Awesome place to rejuvenate ur taste buds ...
Arpita Choudhury
Pork lovers are at a loss if not been to this place despite of being in Ghy. Just one word for the food..WOW! smoked pork, pork bamboo shoot.. These two are my personnel favourites. The service is good as well and friendly staff.
Tatiya Sharma
Well this place never disappoints me and my friends. .
Their food is one of a kind.. pork items are too delicious to say no.. so you end up eating way too much then you should.. but you never regret about that even if you cant move from your place. . Its totally worth it..
Helpful staff. . Value for money.. good ambience. . Clean and well maintained. .
Try it! :)
Garima Sodhi
The food was really tasty. Loved the pork they served. Not a big fan of bamboo shoots but on the whole, it was a really nice experience. Go for it!!!!!
Sajid Vincent Ledger Khan
If I am not wrong, Naga Kitchen was one of the first restaurants in Guwahati serving ethnic Naga cuisine with a decent sit down dining experience.Β The restaurant is decorated with ethic handicrafts & pictures on the walls and is air conditioned. Service is decent enough and the servers are very polite & courteous.Β

Sad to say but over the period of time the quality of food has deteriorated a lot.Β

Have tried the following;Β
Naga Pork Thali
Pork with Bamboo Shoot Curry
Pork with Akhuni
Pork with Anishi
Smoked Pork Fry
Chicken Boiled with Fresh Bamboo Shoot
Smoked Pork Chutney

My ratings;
Food - 2/5
Ambiance - 3.5/5
Service - 3.5/5
Rohit Kalita
Well its a place for ethnic naga food. But also the menu extends to Chinese and some other continental items such as spring rolls.
The ambience is good and so is the staff. It takes a while for you're order to come. I guess 25 mins in an avg. The food is good. The price I would say is a Lil high. For two hungry people it will be somewhere near to 800.
Final say, a place to visit once in a while to try something different
Joydeep Hazarika
This place serves perhaps the best Naga food in all of Guwahati. Tucked away in a byelane away from the hustle bustle of the main Zoo Road, the Naga Kitchen is a foodie's delight when it comes to experiencing authentic Naga cuisines. The restaurant looks like a residential house from outside but inside it has a decent ambience of a restaurant that makes the customer enter the world of the sights and tastes of the Naga culture.Β

The service is good, the waiters are polite and the food here is undoubtedly awesome in terms of taste and quality. I would talk highly of the Naga Fried Rice. To my surprise, I found myself bowled over by a veg fried rice dish which was prepared with a Naga touch to it. The rice tasted quite unexpected of anything that I would have expected of it. Absolute delight! Then I would talk about the pork with bamboo shoots, which was definitely good, but I wish they had put more gravy on the item. I really liked the Naga Roasted Pork Ribs. This is an awesome dish they serve here and is not mentioned in the menu but is only a speciality on certain days of the week. Guwahati lacks the options when it comes to tasty pork ribs, and I must say I was pretty happy with what I got to eat here. They also serve a chutney with the ribs that is spicy in the right amount and sets the mood by acting as a catalyst for the succulent meat to settle on your taste buds. They also have a wide range of hot and spicy chutneys with the yummy Naga touch to each of them. I would suggest all to try the Naga Special Chutney. But just one word of caution, its really really hot! The menu also has another loved item of mine, Smoked Pork with Akhuni. This one is worth trying too. For those who are not much into pork, there are plenty of options in the chicken, fish and prawns sections as well; and some of them are really mouth watering. There are also several Chinese options in the menu, but I dont understand why would anyone come to Guwahati's signature Naga restaurant to have Chinese food!

This is perhaps the best dining option in Guwahati when it comes to Naga cuisines. The prices are definitely higher than one would expect and I was a little bit concerned with the quantity they serve as I wish it was a little more of what they do. This place makes a great option for occasional hangouts with family and friends. A big thumbs up from my side.
Biprajit Roy Choudhury
The best naga cuisine servers in the whole city!!! They have many outlets in the city and serce the best naga pork delicacies!!! The momos are very good especially the fried ones!! A true representative of naga cuisine and serve the best chiily pork!!!
Avilekh Das
Naga Kitchen for me serves the best smoked pork in guwahati. Two dishes that really stand out are the Smoked Chilly Pork and the Smoked Pork with Bamboo Shoot. The Naga items too are really appealing in taste. The ambience and service are both decent. A little pricey but no complaints as long as they keep serving the same smoked pork! Absolute legend.
Priyanka Chakraborty
Try the pork items here! My favorite pork with tender bamboo shoot. Authentic naga cuisine on your mind? This is the place to be.
Con: parking problem.
Major Dhruv
Wonderful place to try out authentic Naga cuisines..nice quite ambience..quality of food is ok..location is a bit odd..and entry n exit for a vehicle is lil difficult.
Dekey Gogoi
Tried pork thali and pork fat crispy fry.. It was awesome.. Must visit places in guwahati.
Wid friends and family a very mouth watering spot to visit..

Been working out lately, and need high protein & high fibre diet with an ambience to chill? This is the place!!Besides the high nutritional value of food, if you are foodie looking to experiment and are into new cuisines, the place wont fail you. North Eastern food and cuisine has been long neglected and undiscovered and this place is a perfect discovery trip. Strictly for non vegeterains, it has some amazing yet simple fares to tickle your taste-buds. Be it the spice laden King Chilly pork (the emperor of chillies!) or the pungent preparations with bamboo shoots, the place is an absolute treat. Highly recommended for visitors from outside the state. Perfect, albeit the slightly slow service!
Debanga Raj Choudhury
The name describes it in an apt way. They serve the real naga food. We had thali along with pork with bamboo shoot and drunken pork ribs. The pork with bamboo shoot was extra hot and spicy, though irresistibly tasty. But, the drunken pork ribs just took my heart away. It was simply awesome with a slight sweet taste. The ambience is just too good to impress anyone and everyone. Lastly, about the price, it is a little on the higher side and does not match with the details given here in zomato. But I would say, its worth everything. Good going!
Sauvik Dey
This place is like nowhere I have visited till date. Its hidden away from the main bustling main road into an alley that goes a little deep. The feel around that place is very homely; it actually is a flat by the looks and structure. Coming to the restaurant in itself; as soon as you enter that ethnic vibe of the vivid Naga culture catches on with the artifacts on the walls and the show pieces of horns, beaks and more. And the best part is that raw tasty aroma of 'akhuni' is felt all around. I was there with some of my friends and we were starving so we ordered the equivalent of a thali there with roast pork, pork stew and pork with bamboo shoot (yes! We pork that way sic!). The food was delicious and we were so full, what I like best is the way they cook; most of their delicacies are pounded on by masalas but just boiling and I like it healthy and tasty that way. And the price is right for the food.

THIS IS THE BEST RESTAURANT AMONG ALL THE NAGA KITCHEN RESTAURANT CHAIN IN GUWAHATI. The Drunken Pork ribs is one of maah favourite dish here. The place is hidden from the main road as it is in a byelane. This place is not as known to the common public as the other two branches of naga kitchen. The restaurant is often quite and hence an awesome place for a nice date or a nice hangout with friends.Β
I have been to this place a couple of times and I feel that this branch serves the finest authentic naga dishes as compared to the other two branches in guwahati. !!
