Review Pratul's Dawn Dhaba - Guwahati

One of the oldest food restaurant in Guwahati. I still remember this restaurant from my school days. Food quality's are really good. The owners are very kind and good, seating arrangements are also good. Cash/Card/UPI payment available. Two storied restaurant, highly recommend

I'm almost a regular visitor of this food outlet. The prices are reasonable and food is very tasty. They serve good tandoori chicken. Steamed mono is also a better option to choose from the menu. Soup with the mono is quite sumptuous. They don't charge service tax. Staff is amicable. I really enjoy the music they play because that's exactly my music list specially the western pop. It's easily visible from traffic, just by the roadside but doesn't have wheelchair accessible entrance. They also accept telephonic orders but you have to fetch your food.

The place is really comfortable. Food quality and quantity is very good . Price is also minimum . I love the butter naan and chicken butter masala is damn tasty. Overall experience was well😊❤

Good restaurant to dine at Guwahati Club.

Of course the biryani here is probably the best in town. The chicken they serve is oh sooo juicy and believe me, you never get disappointed here. Although the space is small and there's no toilet and all, plus the upper floor of the restaurant has these mineral bottle cartons all over, but they never disappoint you as far as their food is concerned.

Good food and taste, staff includes a group of young guys who provides good service, rates are quite reasonable and affordable. The restaurant is situated near Guwahati Club, so it's much more in the Guwahati city. Overall it was a good experience.

Their butter naan is delicious, light and fluffy. Also their vegetable pulao is quite good. I'm sure they can do little better with chilli chicken.

It's a good place with tasty foods nice environment and the behavior of the stuff is nice..... Overall u can enjoy ur food at low price also...... It's gd for couple family frnds everyone

Little less spacious.. but the taste.. i can still recall the taste of the hakka noodle and chicken roll.. one of the bests i ever tasted..

Orderd tandoori chicken online from this restaurant through Zomato app. Being a gold member of Zomato I suppose to get 1 meal free equivalent to the same but restaurant delivered only 1 tandoori chicken instead of 2 when I talked to the restaurant management they give excuses that they are not a gold partner now... How cheap... After all when checked the meal ohhh it's horrible it's taste less, over cooked or would say its burn completely look like a charcoal, chicken chopped in a very small pieces and they mark it as a BIG in the menu... They make there customers fool..wastege of money and time also..never placed order here again.. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

I went there before a week.<br/>I ordered veg fried rice and chicken ginger, it was tasty.. prices are affordable.<br/>Being a food blogger I want to suggest people to must have chicken ginger if thy visit.

This dhaba is one of the oldest dhaba.. Before it used to be good..but now it has lost its charm,the taste, quality, quantity everything..Some weeks back I ordered butter chicken and smoked chicken not even one item was good .. hoping for better in my next order

It was really a bad experience .no proper salt .. packing was not also properly done .Food was leaked from packet. Taste I can't even explain

Food is good and price is reasonable. The taste of the food is 👌 . U can give treat their with little amount of money . I tried drums of heaven and baby corn , it's taste was amazing.

I placed an order for matar paneer and asked them not to make it sweet. The dish was precooked and as it was a sweet dish, in order to fulfill my demand to make it salty they added chillies cut into small pieces. Every time you take a bite of the gravy, you are sure to chew or swallow some pieces of chillies.<br/>In short, the taste was not at all good.<br/>Earlier their matar paneer was tasty, but nowadays the taste degraded.

Been there a few times. Chicken Momos are delicious as well as chicken butter masala and chicken do pyaza. The place is also nice to hang out. The north indian cuisine is what i liked most.

The Chicken Butter Masala I ordered from this restaurant was quite tasty .No excessive spice was added . Small children can also enjoy this dish.<br/>

Pocket friendly eating zone for the Guwahatians. The ambience used to good few years back which they have tried to keep it intact.<br/>My best bet of this place has always been paneer which used to be of huge size. <br/>The Butter Paneer dish do not taste the same like it should.

Normal interior with small sitting arrangements..upper deck and lower deck available..went in for a lunch.. ordered plain rice , butter chicken and egg curry.. prices are also normal..<br/>

The food is good in both quality and quantity.. And it's also not too costly.. The staffs are also quick in serve. # both money and time are too important for all,, hahaha.. And I m satisfied.

The restaurant is featured in the delivery section but they have always refused to deliver. Although I live in the Guwahati Club area I have to send someone to fetch my food from there every single time. Pathetic indeed!!!

Nice place with pocket friendly food. Ambience and staff behaviour all are good. However the taste differs from time to time, and sometimes there is a long wait time. Otherwise all fine with good take away facility.

Visit this place once after every 2-3 months. The food always pulls me to visit again. Sometimes the taste differs but still tasty. Ambience is good with 90s hit music. Only downside it that this place doesn't have a washroom which is unsatisfactory.

Had been to this place quite a few times, food is average. Once i ordered smoked chicken, it was below average, almost burnt. They take a really long time to give the food.

Ordered smoked chicken today,and waited for more than half an hour but the chicken was overcooked and burnt...It was all turned black,and also salt was less. It tasted elasticy and bitter. Will never buy and visit there. I never ever have given bad reviews, it was a Very bad experience.

One of the old eateries in the city which have constantly managed their quality of food over the time. I preffer the near by "The Dhaba" over this place for the butter chicken and butter naan. But for the other items this place is way too better then them. Although i remember trying "Thupka" once. It was very bad. Rest the tandoor items the other items. All r good. Price is reasonable.

Few months back it served one of the finest food in the price range. Now the quality has degraded. Even the food was not fresh when I visited it last time.

There is really nothing to write about the food in Dawn - one of the typical "roll-chow" places that took the culinary scene in Guwahati by storm in the 90s! (Serious pun intended). Like so many other places Dawn has lost its relevance now that a variety of new and better restaurants are opening up in Guwahati and people in the city know and demand quality cuisine.<br/><br/>However, the objective of this review is not to discuss Dawn's menu but share an interesting trivia. The "sauce" (ketchup) that you see in almost all fast food joints in Guwahati starting from Momo Ghar to Reboti is all made by Dawn. And that ketchup is not tomato at all but pumpkin and other ingredients :)

I have been here recently with my friend for the first time. The service is good taste was also good. Specially the rolls and chicken dishes really tastes good. But the only thing is that they don't keep cold drinks which is the main drawback of Pratul's Dawn Dhaba

My friends were planning for my birthday weeks before and when the day finally came yesterday we were puzzled. We still have not decided where to celebrate it. This was because though I wanted to celebrate it in some dhaba in a high funda manner, I was low on pockets. My friends were wise enough and could easily understand this situation so they decided to look out for hotels in Zomato. Finally one of them decided to visit here because the prices were negotiable and it being also a dhaba. When asking for my confirmation I readily said yes!!! I had already visited this dhaba before and so I knew that they prepare the most delicious food items. <br/><br/>Well this place didn't give me the exact look of a "dhaba" when I visited this place for the first time that was about two years back. Credit goes to my mom for discovering this finest dhaba which I am gonna remember for as long as I can. We stepped there accidentally as we were returning from our shopping, were very hungry and needed to eat something immediately. So my mom proposed this dhaba to which I reluctantly agreed. As we entered there I saw the room wasn't spacious enough but luckily there were not many people so we managed to get a seat easily. My mom ordered for plain rice and mixed veg and I ordered for a Egg Hakka noodles. The maintenance wasn't good enough and it took a bit more time than I expected for the order to come. I just couldn't explain how hungry I was and was cursing the dhaba and the staff for making me suffer. Anyways our order came and I could hardly wait to eat it. Frankly I wasn't expecting the food to be much tasty but I was proved wrong. All my tiredness,fatigue, stress, anger etc just vanished when I tasted the noodles. I was now feeling sorry for my previous thoughts and was enjoying the food. I could remember I kept on praising the food to my mom all the time to which my mom replied with a smile. After that day I was always waiting for another chance for visiting this dhaba but never got one. After a few days I saw that they had renovated which made me much more impatient. So from that day onward I never judge a hotel by its name or appearance rather I judge them by their food. <br/><br/>Coming back to my birthday, After confirming everything we went there and was delighted to see that even today there were very few customers. Four of us easily got a seat and as we settled the waiter came to us for an order. Now I saw that not only that they have changed the look and feel of the hotel but also the uniform of the staffs. We ordered for Butter Naan <br/>but were unlucky enough because they had just set off the fire and so tandoori items were not available. Finally after a bit discussion we ordered for a paneer pakoda as starter and Chicken Pulao as our main course. We did a little bit of chit chat and a few photo clicks when we saw that our starter was ready to be served. We couldn't wait any longer and gulped down the big pieces and were praising simultaneously. We were about to finish our starter when I was surprised to see that our order was ready even. Now I realized that not only the looks of the hotel and its staff but also several other things had changed including the maintenance. This made me feel good because they had a few drawbacks which they identified and corrected. I was already in favor of this hotel but I was waiting for my friends to say something. When asked they also praised everything I described.One of them who was on Zomato also added that he will recommend this on Zomato with a thumbs up. So finally my birthday came to an end and I was relaxed that my friends were satisfied with my treat.

I visited this place on the birthday of my dearest friend. I really enjoys this place their service their ambiance and their food all are top class. All the foods are really tasty and at a reasonable price too. There service n sitting arrangements are also good. So, overall this place is complete package and a must go for really hungry people. And of course i recommended it with my thumps Up!!!!!!
