White dove - this restaurant was opened by a Russian originally on 2nd floor of a building. At that time it served Russian delicacy. This restaurant won best dishes award in 2016. But due to their family problem they sold it and left for Russia. After remaining closed for quite some time it was reopened by a local guy, who with his untire effort along with his wife rebuilt its earlier reputation. The restaurant now serves Russian and Indian delicacy. People also book the entire restaurant for small parties of upto 50-60 heads. Reasonable rates

Food is really good but they deliver the order very late otherwise interior, serving everything is awesome.

I really enjoyed my day here..firstly the food is so delicious..The staff is so friendly and their service is also good..the interior and the ambience is damn beautiful..one good thing about this restaurant is they have good collection of songs..<br/>One must visit there and try their chicken lolipop once...overall a nice experience..was a memorable day indeed 😄

We rely enjoyed its awesome food.. The ambience is very beautiful n it's a place were I heared some old musics which I rely loved.. We had ordered butter tawa roti, chicken curry & chicken lollipop the food was mouth watering. The service was excellent.. It is my personal favourite restaurant till date.. The chicken lollipop is a must try😊

The very first resturant in Guwahati to serve Russian food and is thus quite a unique opputunity for all to relish the food of our nation's most trusted ally. The ambience was quite good with very nice decor. The food was quite good and tasty. We had tried the white birch and chicken breast dishes and were more than satisfied with them. I would definetly recommend all to try it and get a new experience.

The ambience of the place is very good... Bt apart from it there is nothing special about the place.... The food is below average and the service is horrible. Me and my friends visited there once and they kept us waiting for almost an hour to deliver the order. Then again, i ordered egg chow and they served me chicken chow!!!!

I have been to this restaurant twice, hoping that the second time would definitely be a better experience especially because I had been hearing so many stories about how "hip" this place was (it was particularly popular for the Russian cuisine). Yes I have to agree that the second time was certainly better than the first time,but having said that I also have to mention that it definitely didn't live up to my expectations.<br/>Yes White Dove restaurant is undoubtedly one of those restaurants with the most beautiful interiors. I mean, purple melded with white- this theme could be seen in every nook of the restaurant, and what's not to love about that! Also, it sets just the right mood for having a peaceful lunch and a levitated conversation with your loved ones. Bliss!<br/>But after all, no matter how beautiful the interiors might be, it's the food that you are paying for, not the decorations! And unfortunately the food wasn't all that satisfying.<br/>Now they say, they specialize in Russian cuisine and since I've never had Russian food before (besides the so called Russian salad at weddings) I really didn't know what to expect, except that I knew Russians eat a lot of potatoes. But setting that aside, the food in itself wasn't all that scrumptious either; Russian or not.<br/>So the first time I visited White Dove restaurant, most of the menu items weren't available so the waiter (who was very courteous by the way) suggested that we order Chicken Breast in Cream. So we did that and also ordered a chocolate shake. I usually don't order shakes at restaurants but I was in a dire mood of having something chocolate and they they didn't have dessert either (sigh!) so I had to go with the shake which tasted very bland. Now coming to the chicken, I firmly believe my mother's home cooked creamy chicken curry is by all means better than what we were served. Yes it was perfectly edible, not overcooked but the sauce was what that disappointed us and also the quantity. It wasn't even enough for a single serving, let alone two of us. The sauce tasted bland and had some lumps from an imperfect white sauce. But I decided not to make a quick opinion before visiting it a second time. And so I did. And this time my friends and I ordered a Damsky salad, chicken rolls with egg and a chicken breast with a cheese crust. The Damsky salad was disappointing. All it had was pineapples and processed cheese cubes! The chicken rolls with eggs might not have resembled the ones they have displayed on the menu, but nevertheless they were tasty. I understand they weren't all that spicy (but I have a certain inclination towards spicy food) but that could be ignored. The crust was deep fried and had the right crunch and texture. The chicken was well cooked but a little more of it could have helped and the egg was more like scrambled eggs stuffed into the rolls but that's OK, I like scrambled eggs. Then came the Chicken Breast in a cheese crust: it was served with some sweet rice(but why though? Why would you serve sweet rice? Maybe some people like it, I for one don't!) The chicken sort of resembled the chicken breast cream I had the first time I visited but fortunately the sauce was smoother and didn't have any lumps in it. But then again, the quantity was way too less. And the cheese crust is just a bluff! They might have had a crust, but it was no cheese, just breadcrumbs.<br/>Overall, it was a pleasant experience (the second time) but I owe this experience to the lovely decor and my wonderful friends and not the food. Sorry!<br/>And cheers!

Terrible food ! Service is not up to the mark with a long service time. The only thing good is the ambience. Specially for the coffee lovers, you get to taste the worst cold coffee.

I and my 3 friends went to this restaurant today (25dec'16).<br/> Order chicken lolipop(starter) chicken schezwen fried rice, & lemon chicken .<br/>They don't serves the starter till 4:10pm..<br/>(we reached at that place by2:20pm!)<br/>so in summary- i must say i don't like the restaurant & they served food very very late..<br/>as u can see we have to wait for starter like 1 &½ hours..<br/>

Awesome ambience excellent interior i rly love this place taste of the food was sooo delicious but the service was slow and the staffs were soo calm n decent i celebrated my birthday over here i ordered butter naan and chicken butter masala well the chicken was up to the mark it was soo damn good and on the other hand naan was also good but the size of the naan was quite small

Great ambience, Excellent Interior and Russian Cuisine has caught attention of the people. However the food quality is not upto the level, even the service leaves dissatisfaction. Suggesting to enhance the food quality and a personality development training for the staffs would be appreciable.<br/>Hoping to see an improvement the next time!

Decent ambience...taste of food is really good..but the most irritating thing about the place is its service. D slowest service i have ever seen. Really need to improve on dat ground. Mah frndz had a non veg russian platter and they loved every bit of it. Being a vegetarian i had very limted option and absolutely no option in russian cuisine. As russian menu was for hardcore non vegetarians...

New restaurant in the town. Expected highly from it but wasnt up to mark. Although interiors are worth watching especially the jhumar hanging, service is way too slow. Also, one of my friend ordered someting but they served some other item.

One of da hopeless place I have ever visited in my life...bad food...bad service...except da decoration...da food I had was horrible...no taste nothing...I think they prepare items with same ingredients in all food items... Da behaviour of da waiters were full of attitude...late serving of food...hopeless management( moron)... Just don't visit dis place<br/>

The food was good but the service was horrible! <br/>There's only one waiter working, and one guy in the counter. Very slow service and they take 1 hour to bring out the food. <br/>

The decor and the ambience of the place is quite nice.The lighting is pretty impressive too. As for the food is concerned,we had ordered Crispy Chilli Babycorn and Crispy Chilli Prawns for starters. The Crispy Chilli Babycorn was good; however the latter was more of cornflour than prawns. For main course we had Veg Fried Rice and Chilli Chicken which were pretty good. BUT the BIGGEST turn-off was the dessert. We had ordered for custard which was charged Rs.180 per bowl and we were utterly disappointed when we were served hot custard. Yes, you read that right. Hot custard instead of chilled and without being set.<br/>All in all I'd rate White Dove as follows:<br/>Ambience- 5/5<br/>Food -3/5<br/>Service-3/5

White Dove Restaurant located just next to st.Marys school, Guwahati Club is a prominent place to grab all kinds of meals. The menu is quite impressive and it's excellent. White Dove has made it possible to serve people with great breakfast menu from American to European and Indian choices. Now here the menu can confuse you .. If you are there for breakfast opt for the European breakfast which tastes superb. I personally loved it. You also have other options too.<br/>As I was there twice in a month one day for breakfast and the other day was for dinner... <br/>For dinner I had ordered for chicken drum sticks ,golden fried prawns which was great to go, For salad had the sunflower (chicken fried, mushrooms , olives , cheese,eggs and chips) <br/>And I had lastly chicken with sesame seeds and dumplings with cottage cheese... <br/>Overall I enjoyed the amusing food with delightful flavours...............<br/><br/>White Dove is an extra ordinary place and it's a big 👍

Interior is so nice n romantic wd soft musics. Fud is OK type. Service is bad as da bill amt ws doubled. Instd of rs400 dey made bill of rs 800. Later dey accptd dre mistake. So evry1 plz b careful regarding ur bill. Otherwise its a gud place 2 spend quality time.

Ok. This one is basically a Russian restaurant right. Obviously my attention went to the Russian menu and accordingly I ordered one soup. The waiter comes up and says that its not available. Like really?! That's the letdown no.1. After that my interest in trying Russian cuisine went sore and I ordered the manchow soup and Hakka noodles from the Chinese cuisine instead. Disappointment again comes in the version of the manchow soup. A manchow soup is supposed to have noodles and there wasn't any!!! It only had some strings of egg whites man. And it didn't taste good either. The Hakka noodles was a pretty boring one. Like really that even I could have made at my place. Such a disappointment! My experience with this place was not at all a good one but yes I will surely go a next time and hope that they will come up with something really good to get me impressed. Otherwise it is a big bold wala NO NO RESTAURANT!!<br/>Interior is no doubt well and good but but but I couldn't eat from the couch man the table was so high up from it. Had to shift to the chairs instead. <br/>Being studied in the neighbouring school my friend and I are like a hawk when it comes to anything related to English grammar. And when we found 'halka' noodles instead of 'hakka' noodles and 'sijuan' instead of 'schezuwan' we were like literally shocked to see such a huge blunder in this menu which has so much high expectations of Russian cuisine. Kindly, update that menu.

Well the name "white dove" goes very well with the ambience.Beautifully built up and decorated..Hospitability was so good that how 3hrs passed i didn't notice.<br/>Now the "food"..This is for every1<br/>1) Russian cuisines are worth a try.dont miss it..I hope people who like experimenting their taste buds will make it to this place<br/>2)For getting quality food you have 2 have patience.Fresh and well served is what i felt having the cuisines...<br/>

Good decor and nice interiors made us believe this would be a lovely experience. However we were made to wait 1.5 hours for our dinner. Our starters themselves took 45 mins to reach our table. Right now you would try and justify that it would take this much time at a normal restaurant. Let me clarify we were only one of the two tables that were occupied. Let me start with the starters. Taste was acceptable. You could even say they tasted better than most restaurants. But when our golden fried prawns came we were shocked that we were paying Rs 300 for 6 tiny prawn pieces. We had to order two plates. So that's Rs 600 down. Rest of the appetisers were adequate. Not satisfactory. Just adequate. <br/><br/>Then came main course. 4 of us had ordered 4 Russian dishes (3 of the same dish). One had ordered Chinese noodles and one had ordered butter roti and a typical Indian chicken dish. By the time the order came we were no longer hungry. Instead we were tired and annoyed and wanted to leave. Within placing our order at max 9pm and our order arriving at 1015pm, my cousin he gotten up at least 7 times to go and tell them to hurry up. And she was greeted with "oh it's coming in 10 mins". When the bulk of the food arrived we were then kept waiting for the Indian and the Chinese dishes. Finally the Indian dish came and we had to cancel the Chinese dish. And the butter roti was actually tandoori roti which they had served. They couldn't even make butter roti in the span of 90 minutes that they took.<br/><br/>Even if the manager was very polite and respectful this is not how a restaurant is supposed to be run. We would have understood if the place was jam packed with people. But like I said our table was one of two that were occupied. Also we thought maybe there was just one chef and he was struggling to get the food out. The manager had even clarified that there were two chefs when we asked him. And the other table had their food parcelled. We have even made the manager half our bill because the experience was truly that horrible. At this point it might come across to some people as if we did this to cheat some money off of them. But this is not the case. If we wanted to cheat we would have walked out without paying the bill. But since we had whatever food that came to our table we willed ourselves to pay half the bill. <br/><br/>I don't know how the service has been before our experience but I really hope their service and management changes. And to all the foodies out there I will tell you the food was quite good but experience wise go at your own risk

Nice interiors. The food is good too! But I was majorly disappointed coz whatever I tried to order, it was unavailable. They are having a salad called sunflower salad, which I wanted to order. But they told it would take 2 hours to prepare. Most of the chicken items from the Russian menu are unavailable. I ordered chicken breast in cream. It is served with rice. The taste was just fine. There is room for improvement.

Had Russian platter there. It was nice.something different and also 5-6 pieces of chicken are there.but the quantity of rice is less.if they could increase a bit quantity then surely it will get a 5star.overall interior is pleasing, food tastes is great, also have prawn in the starters.i loved it there.it was good.must try if you visit there am sure you will love it.i f you going by car then parking might be a problem during the day hours.overall must visit once.you will love it.

DECOR WISE  PERFECT but food quality has to go up by notches. I have tasted their buisness thali and also their Russian items. Guwahati is still new to Russian palate and hopefully it will get better by the day. The owner is a true GENTLEMAN but the food quality has to improve. I personally found the taste of Indian cuisine to be a bit bland also the combination of food in the thali has to be done. In  few of my recent visits I found the items just were not in sync with each other . Even in a simple meat curry in a buisness meal the meat was swimming in the gravy. So the management has to look into the problem and find some solution . Even for the Russian menu on the day of the opening of Russian food the combination was just not there. A food that gives you a kick will eventually be a hit. Everything is perfect but not the food. I urge the management to kindly ensure that more work to be done in selection of the menu and making it more tasteful. All the best and criticism should be taken in a constructive way.
