Review Madhuram Sweets & Snacks - Guwahati

Bikash Bhuyan
Madhuram sweets & snacks situated at basistha road Beltola. Earlier it was a sweet shop but now converted to restaurant only.Various North & South Indian dishes are available. This is a pure veg restaurant. Ambience is good. Taste of foods are ok.Location is good.

Very nice place. Specially the South Indian Food. The appearance is nice. And the road side restaurant gives it a 5 star directly due it's out look. The staff are good. And the waiting time is not at all long for food

Excellent tea a must have. One can have dosa idli vada and chole batura. Good for quick bites. Sweets are also good.
Prasanta Deka
Nice, cozy and pocket friendly place to hang out with friends and family. It's a vegetarian restaurant located near beltola chariali with variety of veg options and sweets . We ordered paper masala dosa, Pav bhaji and papari chat. The paper masala dosa was so crispy and the sambar and the chutney provided with it was very tasty. Pav bhaji and papari chat was ok. Restaurant service was quick. Ambience is good.

I had been there multiple times till now, among all restaurants in Guwahati I had been this felt like a top category veg restaurant. Even I had been involved with discussions with the owner (myself a professional in education industry) at evening many a times, such a soothing personality he is, he told everything he did recently to renovate the place. Don't think too much straight go there. An awesome place. Thumbs up.
The Robust Foodie
This place is amazing when you wanna have classic vegerterian lunch at an affordable price. I tried the chole bhature and i really dont regret it, it had a tangy and savory taste and the pav were dipped in butter and the bhaji was just perfect.

Has the audacity to charge 40 rs as some sort of packaging fees and not to mention Gst on delivery, are you on crack? Just because it's online delivery you are looting people in the name of delivery service.

As far as the taste is concerned, AVERAGE. EVEN THE QUANTITY THESE FELLOWS ARE keeping it small. Thank God south house an alternative opened. Pathetic!!!
Naba
This is a old restro but went through renovation last year..Dosa strong No No..Pao bhaji is really nice and authentic..dosa crust is so dry and tasteless..will try chole batura next time..
NABANITA BORO
The best thing about this place is their coffee. At Rs.10 you will get a good cup of coffee. Pav bhaji is good. Good place for dine in, crispy dosa and chutny is yum but the sambar need to improve a lot.
The interior is changed and no doubt its looking more classy then before but they need to change their cook asap we ordered masala dosa for takeway and after having if felt like we had some sort of stuffed paratha with sabji , there was no coconut chutney,no proper smabhar daal..it was not expected from madhuram when me and my dad used to be in this place for every time taking away dosa
Kalyan Panja
There is a nice and spacious sitting area and the snacks available are quite good here ranging from North Indian to South India, but the sweets are pretty average although the prices are higher.

This place has been totally changed. They have turned it to a restaurant with nice ambience and decor.
Their dosa chole bathure is as best as it was before. No changes has been made in its taste. Pocket friendly place.. must visit.

A very old place that I have visited years back and today when I visited it, I was very much surprised because the place is newly renovated and the main thing is that the prices haven't increased a bit.
The ambience of the place is very good as always. The service of the staff is also good. The quality of the food has also not changed.
I had ordered masala dosa for myself and packed dalbora for home. The dosa was fantastic as it was years back. The dalbora was also good.

Food quality: 5 out of 5
Staff service: 4 out 5
Finally found an authentic dosa place in Guwahati, and close to home. Always thought it is good only for sweets but the Butter Masala Dosa and Pav bhaji took me by surprise and it's one of the best I have tasted in Guwahati. No need to go to JB's next time I am craving for Dosa. Can't wait to try out other South Indian items on their menu. πŸ™‚πŸ˜›

Great south Indian snacks at cheap prices. Masala dosa costs 60 rupees and is good sized for the price. Vadas and idlis are good too. The place also has a nice collection of sweets.
Gargi Deka
You want a quick south indian snack for your hungry tummy and you have no time to wait and ua in the beltola region. This place is for ua rescue. Have had their dosa, idli for a long time now. Price and quantity are both good. A can be tried place. Mosquitos are a big problem there. Othawise itz good.
Rajat Dudhoria
The best destination in Guwahati for lip smacking south Indian delicacies. The best Dosa you will get in North East. Chola bhatura is also a must try.
Nabajyoti Barman
South Indian food at its best! The best South Indian food you can get in the town. The Dosa & Idli-Sambhar are its speciality. The Puri-Sabzi is must have too. The other delicacies include Sweets and Snacks such as Samosas and Kachoris. Overall, a good experience here.
Thanking You

-Nabajyoti 101

Being an ex-hotelier vd more than 4years exp in 5* hotels i would say they best dosa n sambhar u can get in dis part of India perhaps.. As near authentic as it can.. D only missing thing was drumsticks. Otherwise their chutney, the taste of sambhar, the crispiness of dosa r jzt perfect.. Keep it up guys (y)
SUMIT DAS
Whether its for an evening snack, lunch or a south Indian dinner, this is a good place to be. Their dosa, pav bhaji, chola bhatora are quite good given the fact its not a fancy restaurant.. If you are in beltola and want a quick vegan meal..u now know where to go !
