The perfect place for a filter coffee pit stop during an extended trip. We favored the coffee over the tea. Since we had a late lunch and didn't consume any solid food, I can't provide feedback on other dishes. Have plenty of space for car parking
Best stop for tiffin on the highway NH48 (use service road towards Bengaluru).
Located next to coffe day and ⛽️ station.
Old establishment and food quality is good 👌
Comfortable seating for travelers.
Hot Idli, Dosa variety, Upma, Poori Saghu and filter coffee ☕️
Easy parking and fuelling.
This Kamat near Haveri on that highway NH48 is good option for breakfast lunch and dinner. There are very few options like Kamat in this highway that can be trusted with quality and hygiene
Quality is good since it is a unit of Kamat restaurant chain. South Indian breakfast options are good . If you happen to be there during lunch or dinner try their jowar roti either with meal or just rotis
And a strong filter coffee to end your meal.
Staff is very kind and good at service.
Digital payment they accept. They have big parking space for four wheelers
We visited this place early morning around 9am and they served some really good Hot Idlis and Vadas. We were on our way from Belagavi to Bengaluru, we left morning at 6am and reached here around 9 and the breakfast was delicious. We were sceptical in the beginning looking at other reviews, but then we decided to take a chance.
Unlike the Vadas you get in Bengaluru, Hubli and other parts of Karnataka, the Vadas here are quite differently prepared. Its super crisp on the outside and seems like coated with Rava. So the Vadas tasted great as they were hot and recently prepared. I wonder how would they taste if served post getting cold, people might complain. I’d recommend always serve it hot. We loved their chutney more than Sambar. Chutney tasted fresh. We also tried their Puri Sagu, the Sagu here was also quite tasty and different from the usual.
Service was quick, most of the dishes were served quickly except Puri, guess they were cooking fresh puris. Glad to see some women staff.
Plenty of Parking, there’s a Cafe Coffee Day nearby too and a petrol station.

That’s my regular go to place for a coffee break and it’s my friends meet up point very good parking bad bit away from highway so u don’t get dust form the moving vehicles yet very comfortable
Nice place. They have renovated this. Must stop for simple food.
Quick service. Decent washroom. Next to petrol station and fair space for parking vehicles. They do sell Kamat brand pickles and confectionaries.
It's on the highway affordable veg restaurant. They have a good parking space. Hotel ambiance and services are not that great.
It's good for the highway as a South Indian food serving restaurant.
One of the best medu wada and idli I had , the crispy medu sound you can clearly hear when you use a spoon n fresh too.
Clean n fresh food. Super hot served.
Recommended with family.
Good service. Food was okay. This can be an option for veg food while travelling in this highway, as there are lots of North Indian dhabas on the highway but relatively lesser south indian veg places.
Edit to remove (I don't know if it was automatic one) "owners response" :D
Suggestion to those who handle the owners account - read the review and then respond. Pls.
Food is good, jolad roti n meals were great.... service was good, very responsive n attentive staff. Old building and no maintenance, rest room bad state - which is most imp on highways stop over for PPL. Plenty of parking.
Kamat upchar a nice place to hangout with family & friends. Open air restaurant. Home made items & healthy juice's available. Best place for pit stop surrounded by Indian oil petrol pump & cafe coffee day.
