Started the year, having lunch from the famous "Denmark Tavern".
The place is located right next to the Ganges, with a panoramic view of the river!
The management of the place is taken care by "THE PARK" group.
The things we ordered were:
1)We ordered two drinks(wine and a pint of beer)
2)Chicken Schnitzel(which was not up to the mark),it could have been way better.
3)Chicken with veggies, which was beautifully balanced and delicious as well!
4)Carrot Cake
Just wanted to note down a few points:
1)Please arrive early, to avoid the long queue. The seating area should increased I think!
2)The place itself is a heritage, people will find the menu limited and nothing to go gaga for!
It would cost around 2500/- for two
But the location was mesmerizing!
We went for lunch. The food was good, the ambience great. We ordered Pasta Chicken, chicken sausages and Chicken Schnitzel which happens to be their signature dish. Service was good. The place has some pretty good spots for photography. A good choice for having a meal if you're going on a long drive to Shrirampur with friends or family.
Excellent food and service. The Danish cuisines are especially worth trying. Few items are overpriced.
One interesting info is a plate of Biryani costs you Rs. 845!
We went for Sunday brunch. And waited for around 1 hour before we could manage a table. The place was nice with an old charm. As the whole building complex was renovated recently. The style of the architecture is colonial.
Food was okay, nothing special. A tad bit pricy even considering the ambiance.
The main attraction is undoubtedly the ambiance along with the interior. However, do not get surprised if you are not allowed to roam around freely due to some photo shoot or some shooting. It's location will come second in the attraction list. Great view of the Ganges, close proximity to the Serampore Railway station, recently renovated colonial buildings in nearby area all add to the unavoidable charm of the place.
Management is pathetic. The behavior from the staffs is equally miserable.
An overhyped place.
You expect a better food quality from a franchise owned by Park hotel. Though the price is of Park Hotel standard, food is surely not.
There will be some or other photoshoot going on and you will not be allowed to enter the balcony which has the best view. We managed to get in around late afternoon only.
We did not stay over - however looking at the noise people were making in the balcony, rooms next to balcony will surely not have a quiet time.
we went for dinner and it was just an awesome experience. Food is served on time and it tastes great.
1. We felt the grilled fish was a bit salty
2. over all the quantity was less than expected
everything else was good.
Visited The Denmark Tavern for a New Year's Lunch. I expected a lot more options from the continental offering. We tried all the grilled and baked delicacies and were really impressed with the taste.

One of the most popular places to eat in Serampore, this place possesses a rich history. However the food wasn’t the best. It was good enough of course. I’ve had a creamy chicken and mushroom on toast. The toast was crunchy and the creamy chicken and mushroom had a thick consistency. However, the chicken pieces were too big. I’m not saying it was bad however, according to the dish, the size wasn’t suiting at all. The overall taste was good though.
An absolutely delightful experience. Food menu is delicately chosen and though the waiting time was 20 mins, it was worth the wait. The service staff are polite and amicable.
A property by The Park Hotel in Sreerampur, the hotel is quaint with rooms and a riverside view for you to enjoy. The hotel has a restaurant which serves Bengali food and liquor as well. The service was fast and prompt with the servers and the guards being very helpful and head warming to talk to .
The only chink in the armour would be the prices which are a bit on the higher side for the area and there are not a lot of vegetarian options.
Location and ambiance of Denmark Tavern are awesome. Good place for mobile portrait photography. But food taste isn't that much good. Noodles and gravy items do not taste bad. But rice items are truly tasteless. Highly recommended recipe is Fish tikka kebab.
is a lovely spot for a satisfying meal with friends or family. The delicious food, warm ambiance, and attentive service make it a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy a delightful dining experience. With just a few minor improvements, it has the potential to become an even more exceptional destination.
I look forward to returning soon to try some of their other enticing dishes and witness the progress of this charming establishment.
We had lunch here. The food was okay. Definitely overpriced for what they are offering. Also, we expected more European dishes being the Denmark Tavern.
This place is a gem! Beautiful ambiance decoration location, and best thing is decently priced good food! We have expected a very high price due to location and park undertaken, but we were very surprised to look at the quantity and pricelist! Even they allow tale away from flurries and have it in the main restaurant along with ordered food! Flurries is decently priced too, I don't know how, 100 rs pastry is available there...I would like to visit again at daytime, as we went for dinner and cudnt visit the beautiful terrace.
