Mainly specialist biriyani.They also sell meat.Their biriyani is very tasty and price is also reasonable and quality,quantity also satisfying. Other sorts of fastfoods are also available here.

I have tried the biriyani from this ancient restaurant. I had mutton biriyani and mutton kasha as mutton chap was not available. The quantity is really good. The rice grains were perfect and the mutton piece as well. But the smell of caora was a bit high and the piece of the aloo was not much soft. Mutton kasha was tasty.

Price is same for both chicken & mutton @120 bucks. It's worth trying as the quantity & quality both satisfies the price. I strongly recommend to try out the mutton Biryani as the mutton is very tender and delecious. Chicken is also good. They all make crazy rolls and fried chicken items alike KFC.

I have been a customer here since my childhood bt frankly the food quality has gradually decreased... Tyms were there where our mouths watered about societies laccha paratha n biriyani but its no more..... Wish to have the same service back..

It's the best biriyani counter in shibpur. But it's online price RS 20 extra. Now Motton Biriyani 140 chicken biryani 130 on 13.6.20. I request if you in shibpur do not buy online go to counter directly.

The mutton biriyani i order was not good and the mutton was not tender, it felt like rubber, more over the spices was too much and the biryani should have been better.

Ordered a chicken Biryani and it was amazing to my surprise. You get a full leg piece and half a piece of large potato. The plate is designed for one person with medium appetite.

Ordered chicken biryani and chicken kassa for lunch.. the biryani was literally mouth watering , good in amount, 2 people can be fed with one plate of biryani . The chicken kassa was not so good in taste, it was lots of oil there.. i expected that better.

I was expecting Society to serve the biryani in their own packet, to have a feel that it was indeed served from Society. Instead the biryani was packed in a plain good case wrapped by a zomato lining. When did this happen? Did society house does this covering for zomato? I am unclear about these issues so am not sure if I should order again from there!!!!!<br/>

As we are staying nearby hence we are aware of the quality quantity of biriyani of society - for which it is famous for.<br/><br/>But on date the order for biriyani vide zomato was a disaster.<br/><br/>We have ordered biriyani and Tikka. After been delivered we havenot checked the food or the packaged box. And as it was eaten by my wife there is no photograph she has taken either.<br/><br/>1. The piece of mutton provided in the biriyani is not at all a proper piece of mutton and it seemed as a leftover broken piece of meat only. Very poor.<br/><br/>2. Specifically we as well as most bengalis are always searching for a proper piece of potato in biriyani. Most shocking with the package there is no piece of potato at all.<br/><br/>3. The quality of the biriyani is very very poor and it was partly stinking and my wife could not eat the whole either doubting food poisoning.<br/><br/>The worst experience of biriyani of society thru zomato. It had never happened to me while I do take the order by my own visiting the eatery.<br/><br/>As I am not having any photo proof of the same or the left over specimen of the food,  hence it may not be possible to go ahead to regulatory authority for the food quality but surely it is a big slap on our face while ordering thru zomato.<br/><br/>I think zomato should take up necessary action against the complain. Ordered chicken biriyani from society biriyani in zomato. This is really well named un shibpur, howrah. U will really love the quantity and price. The chicken was really good. But i am unsatisfied with the rice.

This place used to be one of the finest biriyani house in howrah....but now it is not....it is just earning by it's Goodwill.. quantity is very less...they sent 1 week old chicken Tikka last time...please avoid this place...

Having biriyani from this take away counter for almost ten years now, and they have never disappointed us. Mutton biriyani is their speciality. Recently, they have started selling mouth watering burgers and fries at a very cheap rate. Do visit this place for the burgers and the biriyanis.

This is located in tram depot. Its a small outlet with no proper seating arrangements but the the food is good. The Biryani is flavourful with tender pieces of chicken or mutton. Though I don't like their chaap. It's too oily and the spices are less. The lathi rolls on the other hand is average. The paratha needs to be more soft. Overall it's a good option if you want to get the food delivered in your doorstep.

Once I ate an ant by mistake I thought that was the most irritating experience but after eating here ant is a delicacy the food stinks literally their shop looks like a garbage dumpyard too coincidence

I m rating this place 5 out of 5 only because of the taste of its Mutton Biriyani. It's just 5 mins away from my home and I m in Love with this taste of Kolkata Biriyani with Aloo since Society Started serving may be 15 years back. Quality is never compromised at this place at a very very affordable Price. Only downside, it's only take away and other side dishes apart from Biriyani are not that good. But I still believe Society serves one of the best biriyani in this town.

One of the oldest biriyani and roll shops in Shibpur . Have tried their chicken and mutton rolls. Both are good and available for a low price. In my opinion mutton roll for 35 rupees is really a bargain. Recently tried their biriyani and chicken chap. Taste was good. Quantity of biriyani was almost enough for two people. The high rating is mainly because of the price and food quality. I would not recommend this place for a dine in though as seating arrangements are not good. Recently they have started serving fried chicken items though have not tried it.

The chicken /mutton pieces are okayish at best.. Very good value for money. This used to be a mutton shop decades back but they smartly reformef themselves into a take - away counter in the evening and keeps on selling meat in the morning. Rolls, kebabs, chaap, paratha and biriyani. I will make a social mention of the rolls and biriyani. They are tasty, hot and quite hygienic for its kind of place. Last bit bit the least, excellent value for money.

The place holds a good name for their mutton biriyani. You wont like it unless you are an ardent fan of biriyani and those who dont mind to have it from roadside! But above all taste of biriyani is good!

What can I say. Those who stays in Howrah knows Biriyani means Society. Although the quality of Biriyani is itself detoriating of this brand now, Still the quality of Biriyani it produces is much better than other brands... Few years back there was no one comapare to Society if the parameter was Biriyani.

I went there for taking biryani and tasted it , it was so good in taste and I will like to there again to have it. I didn't tried the roll and chaps but my friends told me that the rolls and chaps are also very great in taste.

Society is pretty much of a local go to spot for Biriyanis. I think that as a resident of that locality, if I want to celebrate something major or minor and I want good food, I would walk myself to society to buy their #chickenbiriyani along with a plate of #chickenchaap and enjoy the mouth watering preparations. However it is best to take it home and enjoy the food as the ambience isn't good.
