The MOST UNIQUE SOUTH INDIAN (KANNADIGA) THALI I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. I could never fathom that a thali worth ₹130 would be so damn delicious! They started of with a Sweet Puran Poli bathed in Nandini Ghee! It was such a delight. I'd asked the waiter why he was serving the sweet dish before , he said it was Karnataka Tradition! The Thali food was ample amounts of Moong (Moth Bean) , Baigan (Eggplant) & Lauki ( Bottle Gaurd) Curries , served with a side of Yogurt, Raita , Dry Peanut Chutney & Salad. The Salad had some obscure leaves in it but it was too good. All this was served with Warm Chapathis & generous servings of Rice along with Ghee! We didn't get dessert but we couldn't forget the amazing Puran Poli that we started our meal with!

If you happen to be at Hubli, try this khanavali for some good north karnataka style oota. Rs 150 for plate meals.

Loved the jolada rotti oota. Possibly one of the oldest place in Hubballi. Located near ಚೆನ್ನಮ್ಮ circle, the place is easily noticeable. It's a small place with limited seating. So you may end up waiting in peak hours on holidays. Lunch tasted amazing. Bele obbattu was the highlight. They are known for their green ennagaayi. Service is really good.

Okay food, the restaurant is small and on 1st floor. The place is clean but the stairway can be cleaned. Service is good and people were cordial. Parking must be done in the space opposite to restaurant.

We loved the traditional Jolada roti meal here which was amazing. We went in search of this place as it was established in 1963 and is considered one of the original places that started in Hubbali with this kind of concept. Loved the food and the minimalism along with great service / awesome ambience of legacy restaurants of India.

As usual, the classic taste of Uttar Karnataka is very well presented here. It's near the old bus stand, hence you should expect it to be crowded. Also, the Khanavali is located on the first floor and in a very small room. Service is fast and food is good.

Food was great. Felt heavenly. It's North Karnataka thali, which included jawar roti, different chutney and sabji, and at the end don't miss sambhar and rice and buffalo curd. I think they only bring vegitable salad and other chutney if request is made. For additional 30₹ they serve holige rotti. So I recommend this place. They use Desi vegitables also food do not feel heavy after few hours.

Awesome place to taste the traditional jolad rotti uta. Personally we liked all the items which was served. Best place to try authentic north karnataka food. I completely loved it. Though the place is small n over crowded over weekend..its Worthe the wait.😍

A taste of north Karnataka!! Authentic Hubballi Dharwad cuisine. Loved the holige . Service is great. They do have a branch in Bangalore near Anand Rao circle and the ingredients are sent from Hubballi to every night. A place to taste a different food for a regular Bangalorean. The hotel itself is a bit old style but adds to originality however the stairs and approach might seem a bit not up to the mark but worth the experience..

Here u will find North Karnataka style meals with Jowar roti, 3 kind of veg dishes, chutney, rice, sambaar etc. The Roti meal is priced at ₹150 in which rice is unlimited. And Holige meal will cost u ₹180. The food is hot, tasty and very good.

If you want to try authentic north karnataka food then this is the place to be. Kids may find some items in the thali to be bit spicy. But for us it was very tasty.

Really such a great taste.. flawless. Workers are so kind hearted. Loved the each bite endlessly. Feeling like want to go again and again. If you are coming to hubli for any reason please don't this Jowar roti meals and ground nut holige and turdaal holige. Every side dishes they gave is so so good they also serve 🥗 salad. Last but not the least rice and sambar with pickel and curd. Mouthwatering taste.. highly recommended 👌 👍 👏 💯

We were already full after having girmit and bajji elsewhere but the meal was so good and tasty. The curd and mosru bajji was so good, I'd travel to hubbali only for the meals here. We get it in Bangalore too but the price is too high and somewhat not this authentic taste and flavour wise. Holige at the beginning was a good start. Wish they open one here in Bangalore and price the same.
