Review Kanak - Hyderabad

We were here for the second time and this time celebrating a birthday. Pros: 1. Service: probably the best service you can get in town, warm and exactly what you expact from this kind of restaurant. 2. Menu: we tried the set menu and every plate was impeccable. 3. Drinks: full bar menu available with wine list. Cons: Pretty much nothing. Naturally you pay a high price.

Kanak: A Captivating Indian Culinary Journey Nestled within Hyderabad's Westin Hotel, Kanak is an Indian specialty restaurant that offers a captivating dining experience. The beautiful ambiance, enhanced by live Indian classical music, sets the stage for a serene and relaxing meal. With an open kitchen, guests can witness the culinary magic unfold before their eyes. However, occasional noise disruptions from unaware patrons can momentarily disturb the tranquility. The food at Kanak is a true highlight, featuring standout dishes such as the succulent Sunhera Jhinga, the subtly spiced Nizami Subs, the smoky Dal-e Kanak, and the delightful Raita. These culinary creations showcase the flavors and techniques of Indian cuisine. One aspect that may give pause is the pricing, as the bill for the mentioned dishes exceeded expectations. A more reasonable cost, around INR 4,500 or $55 USD, would align better with the overall experience. Overall, Kanak is a beautiful restaurant that offers a captivating ambiance and delightful food. While it may prove expensive for large groups, those seeking an elegant and refined dining experience will find Kanak worth a visit.

Kanak Mughali fine dining reopened recently. Large open seating with live classical music (tabla and sitarist). No this is not Khanak misspelled which would mean tinkling sound of bangles, or metal objects when they come in contact with another surface. This is also not the French Kanak which are the indigenous Melanesian inhabitants of New Caledonia. This kanak perhaps means grains of wheat that shine like gold. Ambiance is nice and service is great. The papad roll was hard and partially unbaked. The chutney platter could get a world record for the smallest servings of chantey dishes. Perhaps good for single person dinning and not on a table of six. Even the chutneys Resturant has better spread and size of such assortments. We liked the dum ka murg which was rich in aroma and taste. The Bihari meat had a weird taste and a depressingly dark dish. Main courses are priced in the range of 1400-1600/- per dish so had to be thrifty in not ordering a third main dish. Were disappointed with the portions for the price they are charging. A bottle of Evian was for 500/- before the 18% taxes. So overall a nice to go for a celebration like anniversary or to dine if someone else is paying 😝

Kanak, is the restaurant in The Trident hotel in Hitec city. It has a nice soft, calm ambience. The vegetarian food was good.Since i am a vegetarian can't comment on the non veg cuisines. You can have a quiet calm dinner with your family and friends.

Food was amazing, and the decision was impromptu to visit Kanak. When we entered the hotel, everybody were asking, do you want to visit Amara, which is a buffet restaurant, but we went to Kanak, and after our experience with Kanak, it proved it right. Especially Kanak e dal, Laccha paratha, and Ghevar was awesome. Service is good, too.
