Review Ohri's Tansen - Hyderabad

The ambiance is awesome, it looks very royal with the white pillar and lighting also enrich. The starters and curries are very good but the Biryani and other rice items are not up to the mark. The staff response and service are so good. Car parking is available.

This is a great place for fine dining. Food: 5/5 Taste: 5/5 Just perfect Quantity: 5/5 every dish should serve 4 adults. Texture: 5/5. Every dish has some unique blend. Quality: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Live music performance takes place here every evening. Lighting and store design is in a typical Mughal style architecture. The glasses for drinking are very unique. They are designed in a retro style. Staff: 4/5 Professionalism: 5/5 Serving time: 4/5 they usually take 30 minutes which is more than ideal time of 20 minutes

So , this place is one of my favorites in the city and I'll never get bored of visiting this place. It's a perfect place for family dinners and a perfect place for a romantic dinner too. The ambience is royal which has walls carved beautifully. The entrance is beautiful with a huge gate which has a antique look to it too. We started off with mocktails, 1. Chatka Orange - This mocktails is a perfect blend of orange and the masala which makes it tastes amazing. 2.Ohri's Delight - I love pomegranate and this drink is a fusion of pomegranate , fresh mint and lime and just a perfect appetizer. 3. Fruit Punch - This mocktail was made of fresh fruits and it just tasted delicious. A must try. 4.Minty Cumumber - This was the mocktail I had twice because I simply loved it. It's a blend of Cumumber with mint leaves and my favorite. A must try. 5. Pineapple cooler - This drink is for pineapple lovers and tasted amazing. For starters we ordered , 1. Makai Chatpata - Its crispy corn which was tossed in roasted spices and tasted different and amazing. It will not disappoint you at all. A must try. 2.Paneer Dum Roll - My favorite starter here, the rolls are so yummy. Definitely a must try and you should not miss this when you are at tansen. 3. Dahi Ke kebab - This was so soft and unique and I loved them. They tasted perfect. 4.Ghee Roast Paneer - The paneer was so soft and this starter has a different taste as it is roasted with mangalorean chilli and spices and was delicious. 5. Lal Mirchi Ka paneer tikka - This is everyone's favorite and it was really delicious. A must try . For the main course , I had Kofta which was the best curry I had ever till date . Their signature curry with masala kulcha made my lunch beyond perfect. The biryani here has the right amount of spices in it and was really delicious. For desserts we ordered, My favorite part of the lunch was their desserts and all the desserts were so yummy. 1. Jauzi Halwa - I'm in love with this dessert, just a perfect way to end your meal. Trust me , I didn't stop having this dessert till the end. 2. Malai ghewar - This dessert can be improved. 3.Baked Gulab Jamun - My favorite, this was the best dessert and was heavenlicious. 4. Sakora Phirni - A must try. I just loved this dessert. The staff here is courteous and pro-active with professional ettequies. They were very humble. The management here manages everything so well. Would love to visit this place infinity number of times. Cheers !

Excellent ambience. Food is good. Both chicken and mutton biryani taste great. Fish starters are must try. Dessert is delicious, not to rich or heavy.

For all my posh &rich friends,I have got a nice place for you to dine like a king. The theme built here was much close to mughal's dining area. They just made it to the perfection. Their only vision is to make feel the customer happy and to provide utmost quality of food and service. And the place and set up looks royal with those corridors,columns,bronze glasses and a small pond while entering it. That was totally a jaw-dropping experience for me when I was at the entrance. Basically, this is a fine dine-in place which has got the best ambiance when compared to other restaurants till date. You can enjoy with your family ,you can have a get together party with friends and what not. They are serving drinks and the food (North Indian and mughlai cuisine) . This place just located beside Hussain sagar . It has got ample space for parking as well. . We started off with the drinks, Orange chatpata was refreshing ,but jaljeera in it dominated more than the orange. But,the Ohri's delight drink...I must say the best Mocktail you can get there. It is infused with pomegranate flavors which is such a delight.😅 . Sunehri Khasta veg which are veg rolls filled with spinach,tomatoes and shaped in cylindrical. This melted in seconds after keeping in my mouth. Dahi ke kebab which is another attractive vegetarian option available here. These are very crisp and filled with vegetables and hung curd in it. . shikampuri kebab is soft to handle which is totally made of minced mutton . Aroma of it totally reminded me of haleem. The quality and the taste of it was extremely good. One of the best item I can recommend for all the mutton lovers to try it. Lehsuni makhani prawns were creamy and tasty . They were also loaded with veggies like capsicum and tomatoes. Nimbu chicken is a much preferred item and the best to have along with drinks like vodka,whiskey etc..; In this item,lemon is applied to it which bought soury taste to it . But the chicken has got ample amount of spice levels in it. . And in the main course ,there were parathas,kulchas and garlic butter naans which impressed me a lot with the taste and the texture of it. In the curries,I have tried saoji gosht in which meat is too hard to cut it into pieces and the masala was creamy. Double seena masala was not spicy enough . And the final one is zartani kofta which is topped with cheese. It was a whole new experience for me to taste kofta which is quite different when compared with the taste of home made kofta. . And the best part is here..!! Yes,it's about desserts. Even,after having these kind of starters & main course, I will definitely have some space left for desserts. Baked gulab jamun was perfect in taste and comes along with rabdi which brings some more creaminess to it. Malpua with rabdi is also soft and tasty as well. . Coming to the service, Everyone knows that Ohri's is not only famous for their food but also loyal to their customers . Mr.anand has taken care of everything about the dinner. He made sure that every item came in time and he didn't even hesitate to tell the name of every dish. And the chef also described about the process of desserts and importance of it in the cuisine. Loved the food and the ambience which feels Royal. Tried the biryani and one of the chicken gravy item which were superb. Specially fell in love with the biryani - best I have tasted in Hyderabad so far. Coming back to the ambience, it feels like you are in a Royal Courtyard. Missed the live music which I believe happens during dinner time. They have valet parking as well just like most of the restaurants in Hyderabad. Thankfully we have booked the table in advance otherwise the waiting time was around 30-45 mins!!

Superb place and prefer ambiance. It's a grate time I spent with friends and family. And we celebrate my friends birthday 🎂. I just loved it. And food is so delicious. Specially starters are amazing. My favourite is fish tikka and kalmi kebab. And zafrani gosht dum biryani also delicious. Parking is free.

Would be in the top 3 restaurents if I could recommand someone too. Great place which I was really late visit to. Highly or could just say book a day before to go there. The service was great and full satisfied with the food. The welcome drinks was good served according to wish with or without ice. The starters are master piece and would beg all to have paneer cheese roll beacuse that was such soft and great stuffing. The service was quick and butter rotis were soft and cut into very small pieces. Main course was good not at all spicy food or biryani was sobar. There would be live music in arab style and sing songs on request for occasions. Live photographers who take pictures on request and give them in a ohris style memory envelop card for 50/- each. The parking is good but the valent parking doesn’t come to take usually. The waiting is high snd there no place for to wait for long time. People shift to other orhis usually if there is much waiting time.

Be it 100 Degrees, 1857, 70MM, Ohri’s Boulder Hills, De Thali, Cafe Loop, Chowpatti, or for that matter any of Ohri’s other restaurants, all of them offer a sumptuous fine dining experience with some theme associated with it. Ohri's Tansen is one such theme-based fine dining restaurant where food united with Sufi & art. Tansen is all about providing the patrons a royal grandeur dining experience. As you enter, there is a pathway with huge pillars on both sides that leads you to the seating area. Moreover, there is a special place for musicians who sing ghazals. Even the service staff at Tansen are dressed like khansamah of courts in the earlier dynasties. Ohris Tansen is located in the Ohris Jalavihar campus on the Necklace road with close proximity to Khairatabad MMTS. We happened to visit this place for lunch on a weekday and this being my first visit to Tansen, I was totally excited and looking forward to having a great experience. The entire dining experience started from the moment we entered the premises of Tansen thereby transporting them back in time of Maharajas. We started off the fare with 'Marag' which is a yogurt-based Hyderabadi lamb soup, served with bread was the right start we were looking for, the lamb chunks were tender, succulent and almost fell apart. Moreover, ghee and cream gave the rich and fragrantly flavorful taste. From the appetizers, we got Dahi ke Kebab, Veg Cheese Kurkure, Lahori Murg Tikka; dahi ke kebab was deep fried pieces stuffed with hung curd & paneer which is surely a popular pick. A few more to add up were Jhinga E Tinka, Dum Machi Patrawali, Mutton Shikampuri & Paneer Dum Roll, clearly, Mutton shikampuri swept the show as the tender mashed mutton pieces completed got mixed when consumed. Even the paneer dum roll which had shallow-fried rolled paneer stuffed with veggies and cheese tasted really good and is another recommended pick from the menu here. Dum Patravali Machi had steamed fish Wrapped in banana leaf tasted really good as well. Moving onto the mains, we got Mahi Kaliya, Behmati Murg, Jhinga lebabdar & Mutton Rogan Josh, the rogan josh was tasted really apt in terms of flavors & texture, well-balanced going well with assorted varieties of bread from 'Roti ki Tokri'. Even the Jhinga Lebabdar tasted really nice as it was a creamy rich prawn’s preparation, sautéed in rich tomato gravy. Winding up the fare with desserts, we got Phirni, Baked Gulab Jamun & Jauzi Halwa; clearly, Jauzi Halwa was the winner amongst the desserts as all the components like milk, ghee, sugar, saffron, jauzi were clearly distinct & is surely a recommended dessert from the menu here at Tansen. Overall, Tansen is a place wherein one can experience the amalgamation of perfectly cooked Mughlai cuisine clubbed with dazzling lights, with an ambiance that will surely win your heart.

Nice interiors and ambience with live music, the food is also good. On the weekends there is huge rush, wait hour of approx. 30 mins. Better to get your table reserved in advance. Also I wont recommend this place if you are running short on time, go only in leisure. Valet parking available.

Waiting time : 10-15 mins Best to order : I ordered mutton biryani which was one of the best that I have tasted. It was good overall experience. Could be better - more Dessert options and buffet menu.

Amazing place for Family get together, anniversaries and parties... The ambiance is really good, staff is courteous and the food is delicious. One of the best places in Hyderabad for North Indian and Mughlai food. Icing on the cake is the live performance..

My experience was good. Ambience was perfect and my order was also perfect. The fish wrapped in leaf and the kabab platter was too good. The Long Island ice tea was out of the world and the blending of drink was perfect. Service was also good. Margarita and Reshmi kabab is the only area they need to improve .i would love if you introduce pathhar Ka gost in your menus.

Good food cozy place. Not the greatest taste for the money you spend, but OK for families. Has live music a d will stop taking orders for food at 11:00 pm.

The ambiance of this place is the first thing i want to bring to notice. It is just royal. Be it the flowing water, the live music or the cutlery things are just perfect. Coming to the food, i ordered the chicken ghee roast and after a long while i have got the authentic taste as we get in the mangalorian region. Just mesmerizing!! I give a full rating to this place and hope they continue to serve us like this only.

My recent visit to Hyderabad and my sister took me to this place . One of the best restaurants in hyd . The ambience was sooo lovely the time u enter the place u will feel like entering a palace . Taking about the food just mind blowing best malai tikka ever , i also ordered briyani perfect blend of spices and cooked chicken . They even give complimentary snacks that is also yummy i was almost full after eating that . Their is also live music one can enjoy that also . Talking about service that was fast and corperative . If ur in hyd or going to visit must visit this place .

This is one of the fine dine restaurant in city of Nizams located on the shore of Hussain Sagar Lake serving authentic Hyderabadi cuisine.This place need no descriptions,the ambience,food,service and their quality speaks on it’s own. Highly recommended place to have a perfect dinner with your loved one to make a memorable night. Their amazing live music addded cherry on top.One should visit this place for a memorable evening :)

After waiting for nearly an hour for the food to be served, every single dish was either too salty or tasteless. Paneer starters were all sour. Chicken biryani had a heavy clove flavour. Food has not reached our expectations but the ambience definitely did, perfect for family dinners.

It was a horrible experience to us as they served yesterday’s biriyani. Luckily I started to have it with my hand instead of using spoon and when I touched one of the mutton pieces it felt very cold. I immediately asked the server who is serving my cousin to touch it. He said sorry and took off the biriyani from our plates. When I enquired what went wrong he said that the guy wrongly brought yesterday’s biriyani which was supposed to serve their servants. They replaced it with chicken biriyani and also offered free Gulab jamun desert as a compensation along with 200rs discount. Worst part is they don’t have any manager with whom we can speak immediately and they don’t even have a complaint book. <br/>I sincerely suggest not to have mutton over there.

This is a beautiful restaurant, with island inspired seating areas. You fall in love with the place as soon as you set foot inside, and the ambiance speaks to you.<br/>Adding to this is the courteous staff, which give great service. Really liked this aspect of the restaurant, because service is just as important as food. <br/>They've got a great variety of dishes, serving both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Extremely good biriyani and very helpful staff. The soups were not up to the mark. The stylish glasses kept were wobbling on the table. Might as well get better ones which do not wobble. Over all, ambience is great. Need to concentrate on the food quality.
