Review China Bistro - Hyderabad

omer bin abdullah
The food is too good. The portion sizes are not too huge. The cutlery goes well with the food and ambiance. Only disappointment was there wasn't much dessert option available from the menu. Starters were fabulous.

The Chicken Crispy Fried at China Bistro boasts a perfect crunch, complemented by tender meat. The noodles are expertly cooked, providing a delightful texture, while the Thai curry with Jasmine rice offers a harmonious blend of flavors, creating a satisfying and well-balanced meal.

Visited with family for Chinese food experience and CB is a great choice. Thai curry with burned garlic rice is super tasty. Chestnuts starters with bamboo shoot is very tasty starter. South asian cottage cheese starter is also tasty. Hot Pot , we chosen as recommended by most users but it cld have been better. Service is good and staff is quick n serves well.

Absolutely lovely place! Everything was good from the food, service and ambience. I really love how they've setup the seating with ambient lighting. This makes for a very pleasant and cozy environment. They also have seating on another level above. It's a good place for family and friends both. They've a nice choice of food options. Also you must try the cocktails here since that was something that caught my eye.Definitely recommend this place !Thank you

Recently i visited China Bistro to try their famous 🔥 Hot Pot and Dimsum. I really loved the ambience of the restaurant. It was quite soothing and homely ❤️ the Dimsum was really juicy and full of flavour. The fried rice was sauteed to perfection. The sushi was unique and tasted too good . The steamed coconut Dimsum was so good and my personal favourite 😍 A must visit place 🙌

This place serves pan Asian cuisines, they also have buffet option for lunch which includes approx 30 dishes, if you are someone who loves sushi’s, dumplings then this is definitely a must visit place to try them out. They’ve got sushi’s, dumplings on their buffet menu as well. For dessert must try out their coconut dumplings with honey butter sauce.

Tried their lunch buffet. They serve starters on table.Starters and maincouse are simply good. Among starters i liked fish the most Can try here if you are bored of routine bbq buffets and hyderabadi food.

It's a pretty decent but a bit crowded Chinese Restaurant. For 3 (1 Veg & 2 Non-Veg) of us it cost us ₹2,022/- incl GST which is about ₹675 per head. In veg 8 Treasure Soup was served and; I would rate the soup average compared to the same of MainLand China being the best in taste. Initial servings of Starters have been very tasty and good quantity. Vegetable Dumpling has been tasty while other items like potato baby corn vegetables, chilli tofu etc.have been good. Coming to main buffe items of Vegetarian rice and noodles have been average taste and gravy items have been below average taste. My non-Veg friends have rated Non-veg items to be good. Coming to deserts, Darsan has been good and couple if sweets and fruits were served. Overall for the price paid the Chinese food here has been satisfactory warranting a bit upper quality in veg items of main course.

I regret visiting this place over the weekend. The wait staff manager was very lazy and did nof show interest in explaining me the menu and the dishes. He was rude to me as if i came there for free food. I am never visiting this place again anf also will not recommend to any of my friends.

After opting for the buffet we felt that we have done a mistake. The food was pathetic. Some were undercooked. The dessert section seemed to be dry. Was a total disappointment. Wouldn't recommend the buffet.

Excellent food and excellent service. Every dish we ordered was a bit unique in a good way. Obviously the chinese definitely had that hyderabadi spicy touch but then again it's hard to find a restaurant in Hyderabad that serves authentic cuisine with normal spices. We wo definitely visit again.

Chinese and cantonese cuisine has come to be accepted as one of the worlds favourites and to cater to such palates, various chinese restaurants have popped up in hyderabad. China bistro is not just another one of those many restaurants but has played a different hand by including a lunch buffet with some really unforgettable starters and desserts. The decor and service are good with 2 huge terracottan warriors outside. However its the food that counts. The starters are the real players here and come in all shapes and sizes. Some of the more tastier varieties include prawns in kaffir lime and mustard fish in vinegar. The dumplings are quite good as well and are very soft. The chicken tries very hard to outdo the others but is easily brushed aside by the others. The main course however isnt that great. Its just your standard chinese curries with the thai red curry being the only thing worth trying. Skip to dessert. The desserts hit you hard in the sweet tooth and include ice cream , cakes , pudding and chocolate bao. The star player however was the chocolate bao which was done perfectly. Soft and mushy on the outside and bubbling with chocolate lava on the inside, this was the destined "dragon warrior" to finish the fight perfectly. Though the main course isnt great , the starters and desserts easily make up for it and make for quite a fine myriad of flavours. Its good for groups, lunches and of course for prawns!

This is a very nice place to spend time with your loved ones. The restaurant is ideally located, has good ambience, staff are very and pleasant and the food is awesome and spread elaborate. I recommend it for all occasions and all age groups

The buffet was really nice with a wide variety of starters. We really enjoyed the food and the buffet also included an alcoholic drink which topped the experience. The service was extremely good with an aerated soothing ambience. The only issue was we could see some flies on the sauces near desserts but overall, value for money.

Ambience was good infact after reading the reviews we friends decided to meet china bistro..however unfortunately we did not experienced any warm welcome by staffs nor any other special gestures from them..it was like other catchup places only you order they serve and take the bill.We did not feel anything good to revisit...I was not satisfied with food too....In simple Value for the money we spent is Nil.
Roger Daniel
Amazing food, ambience and service. The staff was very very courteous and polite and suggested dishes according to our taste buds.... Thank you guys at China Bistro. Looking forward to another trip to your restaurant.

Searching for authentic Chinese in Hyderabad.

Well this is the Ideal place.
This place has both Buffet and Al-a-carta options

I went for Al-a-carta as I can't eat much so it better not to waste food.

1st thing 1st they serve the best juicy dumplings

The main course also taste amazing 😍

Now main heart stealing hot chocolate brownie one of the best I till date.

Will be visiting soon to try the other part of the menus.. Since they have a large variety of items could nt have them all

Overall an amazing place..

Food met our high expectations. Portion size was too good. And taste felt authentic too. Mr Prabhat who served our table was very helpful in suggesting food of our choice. Definitely a worthy experience in Hyderabad.
Praveen Chinta
Went to this place with very high expectations..and the experience ended in a dud. We ordered Chicken Basil Dumplings, Hot and Sour Veg Soup, Mixed Vegitable in sauce and burnt garlic fried rice. The dumplings are just soggy sad composition..the moment the steamer basket was opened for serving..there is a whiff of rancid refined oil..the hot and sour had nothing to hit a home run about..it was just barely there..the biggest disappointment was the burnt garlic rice..the rice is done in long grain rice..least to expect is Jasmine rice..and hardly anything to qualify for a "burn garlic". It's vegetable fried something..very bad. The person waiting our table mentioned that Jasmine tea is on the house when I asked for it..which is cool..it's expected off any upmarket fine dining chinese restaurant..but then..you need to carry the execution part..the rule.."If you used loose leaf tea, you'll need to strain it when pouring it into your guest's cup." Is thrown to wind and we had tea poured with leaves into the cup..not that I mind it if it's a non fine dining space..but not when you call yourself a fine dining space..and seems like the staff is not trained in these basic etiquettes.

The decor is pretty cool, serving time is very impressive, staff is courteous.. unfortunately the actual part ..which is food leaves a lot to be made up for.
Hima
The worst Chinese restaurant ever. I don’t know how this restaurant got such high rating from other customers. We ordered chilli fish and chicken spring rolls for appetisers. Fish was good but spring rolls was mostly veg with small bits of chicken here and there. You can see the pic. I don’t know if the chef ever tasted nasi goreng in his/her life. Take a look at the pic, no one uses basmati rice for nasi goreng that too served minute pieces of chicken and no vegetables whatsoever, not even spring onions or cilantro. Tasted like yesterday’s food with sauce added in rice and not even reheated up to the mark. Also playing some junk hip hop music in an Asian restaurant like some club.
Vajiha Naz
Excellent service and food ! One must try the chicken basil momos it’s just out of the world!
Jaya
Overly spicy and way too greasy. Heartburn central. I’ve tried this place a few times and it was the same case every time.
Ayesha Sultana
Recently i happened to visit china bistro .My overall experience with this place was decent. They serve authentic chinese food and have a separate buffet section too. •Strawberry smoothie - A 5/5 healthy and soothing drink.
•Hunan Prawns : 5/5 - One of the best prawns that i’ve had in the recent times. They were super large in size, crispy, juicy and tender from inside. The hunan sauce was equally tangy and spicy and was the USP of this dish.
•Chocolate Tsunami (2/5) - It is an highly overrated dessert. However if you are in a mood for some mousse or experimentation do give it a try.

Just after we got in to the restaurant, we
got greeted by employees with a nice
smile on their face. From that moment
onwards to the very end we just saw
their happy face and humble service. I've
never seen such reception from any
other restaurants in Hyderabad.
The food that got served were delicious.
And the way they approach you is also
really good. The music they played were
bamboo flute music which was soothing
to hear.
Corporates who wanted to have a very
good meal should have this place as one
option. You won't be disappointed.
Food-5/5
Ambiance- 5/5
Staff behavior - A perfect 10
Tried these items here.

Shallot Cheese Cheung Fun - 3.5/5 stars
Vegetable Chives Dumplings - 1/5 stars (Got a hair in this. Disgusting!)

Vegetarian: I was surprised that starters were average and main course was completely wonderful 😋. Desserts were good too. Wide range of varieties was not expected in a Chinese outlet.

China Bistro, was one in my list since long, and I finally chose to make a visit their today, with a friend.

We ordered:
1. Chicken Basil Dumplings
2.Prawn with Pepper and Pimientos
3.South Asian Chilli Chicken
4.Stir Fried Chicken Chilli, Garlic & Basil (Main Course)
5.Wok Tossed Chicken Hakka Noodles (Main Course)
6. Virgin Mojito

Review: Loved the food here. Its brilliant taste wise. Star of the menu for me was South Asian Chilli Chicken. A perfect blend of flavours and required amount of spice.

Special mention for the prawns in here. Prawns arent my favorite that much, but this one here, was great in taste, and pepper corns, added the required flavour to it.

Dumplings, on the other hand was also my first try, and definetly, good in taste.

The gravy, Stir Fried Chicken Chilli, Garlic & Basil, is definetly try-worthy with Hakka Noodles.

All in all, worth your visit.

Rating:
Taste- 4/5
Pricing-3/5
Ambience-4/5

Want to try a new Chinese place. This is it !! This place has been around for a while and finally got a chance to eat and OMG this was the best decision ever !!! Little on the pricy side but won't complain much !!!
Ordered a wonton veg noodles and loved it !!! It can be eaten stand alone without any gravy !!

Then ordered a chicken Bao which good again !! The bao was a little too sweet but the filling was amazing !!! The south indian chilly chicken (as suggested by staff) was so tasty I ended up licking the gravy off my fork !!
And to top it all off I ordered a chicken basil dim sum and it was the best dim sum I ever had ! Good flavours and the dim sum sause they gave only enhanced the flavours (I never have the sause given by restaurants) !!!

Over all amazing food, good ambience, a good selection of music just added to the experience. (Personally loved the music)
Can't wait to go back again !!!

Wow, the word for the lovely burnt garlic friend rice. The light rice along with the curry we ordered -Hotpot Hunan chicken with Shitake Mushroom thick gravy was a delight. We specially loved the Eight treasure soup also, which was rightly textured with boiled corn and garlic.
We had expectation on the dessert - Buddha's Fu, but the mango pudding was little less hard and the sweetness was little less, just a bit. Except that, 10 points for the presentation. Wow

Great points for the Prabhat's service and I am going in next with family. 😊

The time entered this restaurant they really welcomed me with a warm smile. Umakanth has been throughout my time and taken care about my food. Everything is served well. AB's or any barbeque buffets cannot compette with this bistro. Sreving good, nice ambience check, food absolutely delicious (if you are not a spice lover).overall it's really a good place to hangout.

We were here for a special occasion and they let us down. The place was very congusted. Was hoping to have some good chinese food, but it turned out to be a total disappointment. We opted for Non-Veg buffet. The veg starters were very bad. I would not even rate them 1 out of 5. The non veg starters were good. But nothing extra ordinary about them. The main course was okay. Not too good, not too bad. I would say neutral. Coming to dessert section, it was horrible. I usually enjoy desserts everywhere, but this one is off my list. Never coming back to this place again. To top it off, additional service charge of 119 rupees was added to our total bill. On asking the waiter, he accepted that the charges were additional and not mandatory. But due to resturant management, it was forcefully added to the bill. They denied to exclude it from the bill. Attaching an image of bill for further reference

Wonderful food and ambiance. Hospitality of Umakant & team was very good. Enjoyed to the core. Visit once to witness it yourself.

Nice food. Good service. I think they can add few varieties in rice n noodles for non-vegetarian. Else all main course items r good including the starters n desserts 😊

Polite & Courteous staff (Server - Umakant). Apart from this, the food was extremely delicious. Extremely comfortable seating. Adding to this like a cherry on cake, the music & ambience is delightful. We ordered veg - Konjeenaro & burnt garlic fried rice with cottage cheese in chilly soya sauce. Would definitely recommend this place whether you are a fan of Chinese cuisine or not. You will definitely love this place. A special thank you note to the staff for making this visit a memorable one.

I have visited this place very recently and I must say it satisfied my experience. Wanna check the Asian Street Food so been there.

Loved the food @chinabistrofl
Specially Volcano Fried Rice Chicken and Tuna Rolls
The special Sorbet is my fav.😋

Ambiance is good but lighting is less.

Price and the portion justified. 👍

Would like to visit again.

PS: Asian Street Food Festival is going on here. Visit if you like to taste good food 🥘
Letseathyderabad
We were here for their ongoing Asian street food festival and we were really amazed with the different cuisines of Asian food and quality of food served, the service of the staff was also remarkable.

Coming to their ambience, china bistro always welcomes with warm and bright ambiance which makes us feel more comfortable. Could be better if the amount of lighting is increased a bit, as it looks little darker.

Started off with their soups,

$ Hanoi Pho $
$ Soto Madura $
$ Ramen Noodles in Tom Yum $

They always impress me with their amazing soups and they are really best at them. Specially, their ramen noodles in tom yum was hot and spice, noodles in the soup made it something different and tasty.

We also had their salads
,
$ Raw mango salad $
$ Raw mango crab salad $
$ Saigon chicken salad $

Coming to the Appetezers,

$ Po Pia Pad Thai $

This crispy and delicious spring rolls which are filled with all the veggies and noodles was tasted really great and I loved them .

$ Ikan Peeps $

This item in the whole food festival which should talked about, the fish cooked and cloaked in the banana leaf, which was super soft and very tender which made us to order again and again.

$ Fresh sliced chicken breasts $

Usually, I love those crispy and fried breasts a lot, the breast slices were over cooked and fried and the slice of the chicken was very thinner and we couldn't actually feel the taste of chicken, taste was good but I'f the thickness of the meat is increased, that would have been a lot better.

Their main course was such a huge spread and we were confused between what to have first and ended up tasting all of them.

$ Volcano chicken fried rice $

The name was apt for the appearance and the taste of the food . The rice was cooked very good and the chicken was in wet which made the best combination and it was presented with the egg foam on it which made it look much more good.

$ Three Flavored Fish $

This super cooked wet fish was really softer and tasted delicious and adding those to the rice makes it taste much better.

$ Kari Kaptan chicken curry $

This gravy looked very brighter and was tasted good, cooked in coconut milk and the meat was also super tasty.

$ Fairy srilankan curry in cherry tomato $

As their name was asain street food festival, their menu covered with all the asian countries food and srilankan curry was one of them which was fair in taste and everyone actually liked it.

$ Roasted Mok Me chilli $

Roasted mok chilli was super good in taste and the roast was perfect enough.

$ Khao Pad $

The pasta looked good, but they were not properly cooked and fried as some of it tasted well and some it was half cooked.

They are running their Asian street food festival till Jan 20 2020. Do visit for some scrumptious and wide spread food.

For more details and posts, please visit :

LETSEATHYDERABAD on Instagram & Zomato.
Murtuza Sid | BeingHydFoodie
Follow My Instagram @BeingHydFoodie

A Week ago made visit to one of my favourite Chinese Restaurant. China Bistro has never disappointed me in terms of Food and Brilliant Service.

What's New at China Bistro? They're currently running with Asian Street Food Fest. A limited Menu with Delicacy. I've been a regular customer of this place but I'm visiting The Jubilee Hills outlet for the first time!

The Ambiance is Gorgeous and Beautiful, but compared to Kondapur Outlet, this is quite small. Even the lighting is a bit low here. Fully Air conditioned and Comfortable Interiors.

Let's begin with The Food from Asian Street Food Fest:
We started with 3 different soups from the Menu!
Hanoi Pho (Veg): Vietnamese Special rice noodles in a very fresh Aromatic Soup. Good amount of Veggies, broth was Flavourful. Loved it.

Ramen Noodles in Tom Yum: Most Recommended from their Menu, it's a spicy Version of soup, a bit tangy with Lemongrass, Ramen Noodles. The spciu taste comes from the Bird's eye chilli (hottest Chilli). Loved the noodles in this, Also the soup!

Soto Madhura: More than a Thin Broth this is Curried chicken soup. Made with Soto paste, Lemongrass, coriander and Tomato. Was thick and creamy, chicken was Properly tender.

All three soups Were amazing, Now the Appetizers.

Crispy Water Chestnut Bamboo Shoot: crispy, garlicky and Tossed with Herbs and Seasoning!

Fried Sliced Chicken Breasts: Very thinly sliced, was slightly Over fried and Cooked, tossed in sauces, bell peppers and chillies. The Taste was good, but sadly it was overcooked, also The strips of chicken were cut too thin, can keep a bit thicker.

Po Pia Pad Thai: Very Crunchy, Hot and delicious. These are spring rolls, but a little Different as the stuffing had Veggies and Noodles. Had the spring Rolls till date, A Must Try! Different from the regular veg and Chicken! Dip into the sauce to get the spice flavour.

Ikan Peeps: When it comes to Fish Appetizers, I love when it's Cooked / Steamed. this dish is not to be missed. Where Fish is Wrapped in Banana Leaf with Balinese Spices. An Indonesian method of cooking, it's steamed and later grilled on charcoal.
.

This cooking technique allows the rich spice mixture to be compressed against the main ingredients inside the individual banana leaf package while being cooked, and also adds a distinct aroma of cooked or burned banana leaf. Although being cooked simultaneously with food, the banana leaf is a non-edible material and is discarded after cooking. Scrumptious Fish, Steaming Hot, Spicy and a bit creamy texture as they added Coconut Milk. Definitely Recommended to everyone 👌🏻

Just few starters as we wanted to focus more on Main course. the main course at CB is always the best.

Volcano Chicken Fried Rice: Loved the presentation firstly and taste wise too. Rice was cooked nicely, chicken gravy was Flavourful. Slightly Spicy and Garlicky. Foam of Egg Whites on the top of Sauce looked very unique and pretty.

Olive Prawn fried Rice: This was simple and yumm. Seasoned was Spot on! Black olives Were finely chopped and tossed!

Pad Thai: wasn't cooked properly, It's was Doughy and also the sauces added were Excess. Hope they do improve it!

Kari Kapitan Chicken: My all time favourite gravy. Creamy and Cooked in coconut Milk and species. Chicken was tender, gravy was spicy and Flavourful. Highly recommended.

Three Flavoured Fish: This one as well, has to be my favourite fish gravy, especially here. Was soft, spicy and gravy was thick. Goes really good with Rice! Sea food lovers must try this out.

West sumatran lamb curry: Usually I don't prefer Lamb in Asian food but somehow I had faith in CB, trust me this was so good. Lamb was super tender, gravy was excellent. Other places don't cook properly and it becomes Chewy. But this surprised with its Flavourful sauce and Meat.

Roasted Chilli Prawn: Tiger Prawns in hot gravy! Damn this made my day with full spicy taste. Prawns were crunchy and properly soaked in the sauce. Loved it.

The Main course had no complaints, just the pad thai didn't get into our taste. Rice and other Curries turned out to be Awesome!

Ended the day with Darshan, probably the best one we had yet. With a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream!

Service was Super Duper Quick, Great job done by the staff. Prabha was the guy who took good care of us, He was Sweet and always kept smiling. Ghazi was the Manager here, he was humble and fun loving guy too.

Overall the Asian Street Food Fest at CB is worth the Try! I'm sure you guys will definitely love the Food. The fest is ON till January 2020 on both the Outlets.

Was here with a big group of friends and cousins.

Being a food enthu cutlet I wanted to taste pretty much all the non veg dishes. And so did we. The Asian menu running looked perfect and we ordered one portion of every thing from the menu.

And I must say not a single dish disappointed.

From soups to starters to main course. Everything was so on point.

My absolute favorite was the fish starter and the spring rolls.

Please look at the menu for exact dish names.

But for a Chinese place to have so many dishes on point is commendable.

Also I loved the prawn rice and the fish gravy. They went absolutely amazing. Perfect combo. Will for sure order them up when I am here next time.

With my stomach full and hearts full. We left the place with utmost satisfaction.

And also to mention the amazing staff. Who smiled and responded to all our questions and served food with a smile.

Visited this place last week for Asian Street Food Festival and I was totally took by surprise by the variety of food items that were available and amazing price points.
The ambiance is as beautiful and decorative as it can get, obviously not complains regarding it.
For the festival we started with soup,
We had Hanoi Pho, Soto Madura and ramen noodles in tom tum.
My favorite has to be Soto Madura and the tom tum. They both were extremely delicious and Soto Madura was extremely unique.
The Hanoi Ho seemed quite okay and simple.
Then in Salads, we had the raw mango salad and saigon chicken salad. Both were absolutely new, loved the tangy taste and they were actually the highlight of the festival for me.
In the starters, crispy water chestnut was really good, usually I don't enjoy it but here it seems it was cooked well.
The fried sliced chicken breast were too crunchy and the batter was overpowering the meat. Could really use a lot of improvement.
Ikan Pepes are basically steamed fish in banana leaves and they were extremely soft and full of flavours.
In the main course I really enjoyed the Sri Lankan lamb curry, it was extremely juicy and well cooked. The fried rice also had a unique taste and the rest of the items in the main course were pretty standard.
I really wished they had included some dessert options in this festival as no meal is complete without dessert.
