Review Van Lavino - Hyderabad

Disappointed they no longer had their vegan menu. We customized the pasta and avocado toast to vegan by removing dairy and they were great. There was not even one plant milk option for coffee which was also a bummer. The vegan pastry was delicious. Would love to see the full menu come back.

Visited this charming cafe recently and it's a haven for dessert lovers. The ambiance is decent, providing a delightful atmosphere. What sets it apart is the affordability, making it a standout choice compared to other cafes. I tried the Tres Leches and Hummus Toastie, both scoring above 7.5 and 7 respectively on my taste scale. A definite must-visit for those seeking a sweet escape without breaking the bank.

I had visited this place with my office colleagues. We went there for a get together. We sat on the 1st floor. Though they have limited menu, but everything we ordered were scrumptious. They have wide variety of Chocolate and pastries. The ambience was fantastic. Staff were courteous. There may not be enough space for 4 wheeler parking, however they have valet parking. This cafe is located in Jubilee Hills next to Tattva Restaurant.

Decent place to hangout with your friends or family. Very pretty ambience for a cafe. Food here has always met our expectations. Each dish is nicely done and deserts are must try. Also the drinks mojitos, fresh juices, cold coffee are delicious. Bathrooms are neatly maintained. They have added some great options of summer drinks which we didn’t try coz of price which seemed bit high. Overall would recommend this place if you are okay with the price range which I feel can be compromised.

Neat and lovely ambience throughout this café and patisserie of 2 levels. Very good service as well with decent waiting time. Decently tasting pizzas and pastas. Very good brownies and coffee drinks. Special mention to very clean and tidy washrooms! Only complain I have is regarding the price, would assume that's more because of the ambience than that of the food which was served. Otherwise would definitely recommend this place.

I like this place. The pastries were fresh and they have a lot of variety. We tried nutella crepe with blueberries, however the waiter messed up the order and didn’t serve blueberries. Overall this place is a nice hangout with friends and families

A must visit cafe in Jubilee hills.Ambiance is just fabulous & the maintenance is top notch. Heaven for dessert lovers, the dessert section is huge. They have everything from cakes to ice cream, they even have a bread section. Special mention to very clean and tidy washrooms !!! Only complain I have is regarding the price,a bit expensive compared to other cafe's . Arrived here after having the dinner so couldn't try out the Main Course item's. We tried Belgium Chocolate Slice 10/10 Ferrero Rocher Praline Mousse 9/10 Pista Macaron 6/10 Belgium Chocolate Macaron 9/10 Tresleches 10/10 Classic French Toast 7/10 Dessert's where damn delecious but a bit disappointed with the French Toast because of being little expensive & also hyped a bit too much. Overall a good place to visit.

Been to the place for the first time and had an impression it's a one stop for desert lovers. Totally loved the taste of the items I had eaten and carried as a take away. Would recommend a pit stop post a good dinner to end the night on a sweet note.

Positive first - I guess one of the best food I had in last 1.5 yrs in Hyderabad .... Good quality , good taste, good setup and ambience Negative- Hyderabad certainly has few better bakeries but still it's in the top list if not the best...

This is an endearing place which would immediately attract you with the ambiance. Located in jubilee hills beside Ratnadeep, it has earned a name for itself in the city of Nizams.<br/><br/>Have been there once post lifting of restrictions after lockdown and the place starts off at 11:30 AM. Realised that the hard way as we reached way earlier than that. Anyways, we wanted to try out the cakes and pastries but since they had just started for the day, there was not much variety or atleast in terms of what I was looking for. To be fair, in this new world, it would be difficult to keep a fully stacked shelf when customer walk-ins have reduced to a trickle or maybe I was just too early. <br/><br/>The Ferrero rocher chocolate cake caught my fancy and we also took home an eggless dry cake with almond toppings. Both the cakes were lip smackingly good. Would definitely be back for more to try other stuff.

We went for some desserts and coffee on a Sunday afternoon at Van Lavino and definitely was a good choice!<br/>The place is very easy to find on the main road. It has a European vibe to it, upscale restaurant and bakery.<br/>Service was good, nothing to complain.<br/>We had Ferrero Rocher cake and chocolate mousse and cafe latte. The desserts were some of the best and coffee didn’t disappoint.<br/>To our surprise it wasn’t so expensive which definitely is a plus point.<br/>Recommend!

I visited Van Lavino for having desserts Specifically.<br/>Ordered Caramel Cheesecake And Chocolate Strawberry Pastry. Both were average in taste, they could be better in smoothness of textures and mouthfeel. Makes inferior to other High End Patisseries in the town<br/>Ambience was Luxurious.

Good ambience with great food. Deserts were amazing - we had cheesecake and tiramisu. Stuffed mushrooms and potato wedges were good too. Pesto pasta was too creamy for my liking. Overall, good experience.

Van lavino is known for its pizzas and the garden veg pizza loaded with fresh toppings was definitely my favourite vegetarian pizza.<br/>The classic chicken burger was very fulfilling and was served with fries and two dipping sauces.<br/>Their hot chocolate was served with marshmallows. It was great but a bit over priced .<br/>

The brownie was more on the gooey side and it was very good not too sweet and warm served with caramel sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream although i think the brownie was priced right the ice cream was kinda on the expensive side one scoop of ice cream was 70rs and to be honest it tasted like regular vanilla ice cream and wasn’t even that rich and creamy! The mudcake although it looked good the presentation when served was not sleek and perfect and the dessert was extremely sweet and very expensive I literally took two bites and couldn’t take more it was too much! Overall the ambience and the service was good!

The first place in Hyderabad from which I run away after sitting for 10minutes. Got terrible headache due to pathetic crap music blasting directly at me. Came to relax in cafe, not to a disco. Cannot hear your partner sitting with you at the table. Total mess on the floor. Some boxes and other crap. Staff shouting from the kitchen. Left running. Could not taste any food in this conditions.

I've heard a lot about this place and wanted to visit this place for a very long time. Van Lavino is very famous for the cakes and let me tell you not only cakes but all the dishes that we tried amazed us with its taste.<br/>.<br/>We started off with a hot chocolate - I liked it, but I felt it would've been better if it was more chocolaty followed by Nachos and cheese.<br/>.<br/>We also had primavera pasta which is a combination of two sauces, it was really delicious and the sauce was lip smacking. Classic margarita with the fresh cheese was too appetising yet it was really huge.<br/>.<br/>Churros with dulce de leche cream (also known as condensed milk :p) was right end to a perfect meal.<br/>.<br/>We expected it to be a really expensive place by the name and the ambience but it turned out to be a very pocket friendly place. I love my first visit to this beautiful place.

I wanted a take away but the impeccable hygiene and service to limited guests prompted me to dine in. The ambience is awesome and display of the pateserrie will make you grab one or more.. <br/><br/>My order was a Bombay sandwich and a Fish fillet burger, portions of both were decent, comes accompanied with fries and yummy dips, I tried a cream and chocolate ice cream which wasn’t bad either. <br/><br/>Pricing is ok and service quick. I will be regular to this place, the pizza is next I saw a lot of take away of that.

I've been here a couple of times! It's been like a go to place for me when ever I craved for desserts. The desserts are heavy but too tasty. A bit high on your pocket but worth spending on those amazing desserts . The ambience is good though it might look a bit crowded sometimes and staff is also very friendly. So I went to van lavino a day before the massive shutdown, we confirmed it over the phone whether it is open or not. So we were at van lavino it was not at all crowded cause of the outbreak of covid-19 we decided to seat upstairs although it was empty down as well . We ordered one peri peri grilled chicken burger ,one bbq chicken wings and two chicken steak with thai burst.<br/>Peri-peri chicken burger:<br/>As you can see it was a good, delicious juicy burger it was served with peri peri fries and two types of mayonise,one burger bun was placed aside of the chicken patty which was giving it more tender look, one really needs to press the burger to fit in his mouth. The mayonise were also really good one was garlic mayonise and a chilli one with each having a olive in it to give it a luxury look of serving. It was 10/10.<br/>Bbq chicken wings<br/>These chicken wings were also served with peri peri fries, it was juicy and contained some bbq sauce over the plate as well no mayonise was served with this one, I felt like the quantity could have been improved.<br/>It was 7/10<br/>grilled chicken steak<br/>This chicken steak was served veggies and a loaf of bread, they serve two steak of chicken dipped in sauces of Thai burst. One really needs to identify what veggie he is eating it was really amazing. One might whether why are there serving cherry on every dish, no it's not cherry its a small tomato. The quantity could have been improved of the steak as it was small portion one and only two are served in a plate.<br/>Talking about the place it is really amazing, calm etc serving was on point it hardly took around 10 mins to be served talking about management it is also on point.Ambiance are also so calm over here ,there is a small outdoor sitting area as well but I recommend going in and explore this place for yourself.<br/>I also recommend trying waffles over here although I heard about them but i felt my stomach was not craving for it at that time.<br/>

I visited Van Lavino at Jubilee hills. This time me and my friend tried French Butter Crossiant and their speciality cake Tres Leches. Tres Leches I would say must try. The cakes for birthday also are mouth watering. If you are a chocolate lover then Belgian Chocolate Cake is awesome. And for those who love fruits, the Fruit Cake is what I recommend.

It's a beautiful place to go to..found it a little expensive but worth one visit. We had an eclair and choc mud pie, both were delicious. It's definitely a must visit. We took the metro there one late night. It was a pefect end to that okaeish day.

Made us wait for an hour at 10.40am telling us that place is not open and at 11.am they tell only coffee and pastry is available plus washroom was very dirty had to request them to clean so that it could be used. Very disappointed

This place is amazing with good infrastructure with music. We ordered for Alfredo chicken pasta which was served very delicious. Then coming to deserts we ordered for strawberry cheese cake, Ferrero cheese cake, Belgian chocolate cake which was so tasty and mouth watering. Overall the place was good with good food.

Tried a Diavola pizza, paneer fingers, kit kat milkshake and they also served us a bread kinda slices complimentary. <br/><br/>Diavola pizza - I likes it. They said its on the spicy side but didn’t find that spicy. <br/><br/>Paneer fingers - very small<br/>Portion. Not very tasty. Not worth the price vs portion size ant not tasty too. It was just flat. <br/><br/>Kit Kat Milkshake - liked it. Good qty and taste! <br/><br/>Masala bread (complimentary) - they served 3 slices. They were warm and freshly baked. Like them. They would go very well with butter but they didn’t serve. I don’t know what to say about the place because the food tastes great, the ambiance was great and the one thing that got my attention closer is the the way the food is decorated. The place is bit over priced but the food worth the cost.

Went there for New years day Lunch. Totally get it you guys are swamped but that doesn't mean you can provide bad service you have all the right to say that you are full and I would wait but do not shove me in a corner which is used by servers to put their order pads. Also, servers did not know much about the menu, when asked about the details of dishes, he just pointed and said its all written there. Even I know that, I have read it, I have further questions that is why I am asking you.<br/>Secondly, I get it you get store bought nachos and bake them but atleast remove the broken bits, 300 bucks for broken soggy nachos is not worth it.<br/>Liked the crepes and coffee we ordered. Burger was just edible.<br/>This was the second visit and now can honestly say this place is over rated, just like any other cafe in Jubilee Hills!!

I was having quite high expectations from this place due to its rating.<br/>Ordered Hot chocolate with Marshmallow but the fact that marshmallows were not melting while i placed in hot chocolate says about it all.<br/>Cinnamon flavoured cappuccino was everything but without tinch of cinnamon.<br/>Potato wedges did justice and pasta was okayish but the service was so prompt that all the ordered items arrived at same time.

One of the finest places in town to pamper your sweet taste buds. The pesto pasta was very smooth and nutty. Needless to mention the pastries are amazing! The three cheese burst pizza is also really good. Food is worth the money spent!

So i tried this today, thought of starting off with the little Nutella Brownie, that tickles your taste buds which already made me feel heavy. The taste was soo overwhelming while i also had the Egg less Ferrero Rocher pastry. The pastry had a burst in every layer, which made me enjoy every bite with a layer also having crushed Ferreros until i reached the end which had a totally different taste of lavish chocolate and i couldn't finish it. It was like I'm gonna burst chocolate right away🤤😅

I just got myself a belgian chocolate slice and a blueberry cheese cake. The chocolate slice had left water by the time i reached home. It tasted stale . This is the third that I got a pastry from Van Lavino and it came out to be stale. Highly disappointed. Doesnt deserve the current zomato rating of 4.6. Total waste of money.

Food quality is coming down drastically. Getting disappointed with the food here. Management has to really change the chef may be. You charge horrendous for simple basic food like omelette. There was nothing special about it. Management has to Review and food taste.

This place is mainly good for desserts ranging between RS 80-200. The main course here is also very good but because of its priceyness I wasn't very thrilled to order them. I ordered the Lebanese Chicken Pizza and Classic Alfredo Pasta and I do have to say that the quantity does make you happy and the hummus on the Lebanese Chicken Pizza was probably one of the best hummus I have ever tried in Hyderabad! In desserts I ordered the Blueberry Cheesecake and Ruby Cheesecake which tasted absolutely amazing! The way it melted in your mouth just makes you crave for more! 🤩

I've always wanted to go here when I finally went I am more than happy that I did. van lavino has the best deserts. ice creams have a perfect taste the one with nuts is amazing. I tried the red velvet cheesecake and Nutella brownie they are the best that I've ever had till now. the brownie exploded in mouth and has the perfect taste. unlike others ive tried the cheesecake here doesn't have the strong salty cheese taste but it perfectly matches the red velvet. I do consider it my best experience and looking forward to making more.

I had been here twice. I have to say that the food is quite yummy but the place ddint look as neat and sophisticated to me as it was potrayed in the photos. Food is a on a bit costlier side but the maintanance has to be improved.

I ordered Belgium chocolate truffle cake shake this evening. The guy who prepared it probably took it for granted as it was a takeaway as it was just milk and bournvita rather than cake shake. I took a sip after reaching a bit further else would have went back to the place and given the staff good for serving that to me in the name of cake shake. For people who follow reviews, I would suggest not to order this as it's just milk and bournvita served with a fancy name with an expensive price tag. Really disappointed

It really liked the ambience it was really quite and nice.This is a really great place if u wanna spent sometime with a friend to catch up. The food was okay.I really liked the chicken strips

A very beautiful place tucked away just at the corner of the main street. It looks really beautiful and elegant right from the outside. When you enter, you are simply amazed by the choices for cakes, ice-cream, desserts etc. It is a definitely an all round cafe where you can spend time with friends and family.  This was all about the looks and feel, but when it comes to the food, it is also really good. Its deserts are definite try here, esp its ice-cream and cakes. Coming to the prices I felt they were a little high but I choose to ignore it as the ambiance it has was really great. I have cut one score as the service was a bit slow and for desserts, it was a live counter and would not serve on the upper floor. But.... to be fair, this place is a must and once should definitely not miss out on this!!!

The sandwiches and pasta was very good. The pesto paneer is my favorite. Loved the hummus and pita bread too. Found the desserts a bit too sweet, the nutella tart in particular. Would definitely go back to try other things on their savory menu.

Amazing place to have a heavy lunch. The veg nachos with salsa was amazing. Also their pasta arabbiata easily is the best in the competition. They also have a good variety of veg pastries.
