An old gem in town but at a new location. Ask any Hyderabadi about Chinese and you'll hear Haiking from at least 4 out of 5 of them.
I visited this place post lockdown which means I had a mask over my mouth but that didn't stop my appetite.
The restaurant is now open for dining with precautionary measures and you'll see it mostly empty during the course of your meal so don't worry about the corona virus.
Coming to the food - the food here is really good, but do make sure you know what you're ordering otherwise you may not have the experience I had.
I started off with my starters which comprised of button mushrooms and chicken which was fairly average but decent. Moving on to Apollo fish ( not authentic Chinese but I wanted to rate the restaurant based on their ability to cook Indo Chinese ) and I was highly satisfied.
Next was the golden fried prawns and these were really tasty for a tempura but not for golden fried prawns. What made the prawns really tasty was the hot chilly sauce.
I also ordered noodles and haiking fried rice which was an assorted mixed meat fried rice and boy was it tasty.
I often prefer noodle over rice but.... My opinion changed after this place... The star of the show was surprisingly fried rice and the gravy ( Shanghai chicken ).
Overall experience was really good and yes I will be visiting this place a lot more often now.
Try Burnt Galic Rice is excellent
Chicken in Honey sauce
Very amazing and testy
Have been here a couple of times and their chicken khoe suey is the best !! Had their Japanese fried rice and schezwan chicken as well !! Fried rice was great and chicken not so good !! They have a new dessert menu !! Avaocado ice cream and choc mousse !! Was not sweet to my taste !!
The food was amazing at a reasonable price ... the price was also worth it compared to the items they have provided ... I love it, their response was really affectionate and I would like to come back again and again... Thanks to the team.
U get the best Chinese food here, ambience is good prices are reasonable and must try the prawn toast , apollo fish and the haiking noodles.
Was here for lunch with a group of friends. Situated at 4th floor in a building right on the main road of Jubilee hills, easily accessible. It was quiet spacious , well maintained and dimly lit.
In non-veg we ordered:
-Burnt chilli Chicken
-Chicken pakora
-Threaded Chicken
-Golden fried prawns
-Boneless chicken gravy
-Ginger chicken
-Lemon fish/chicken
and for veg we ordered:
-Hot & sweet crispy potatoes
-Veg Manchurian
-Steamed rice (served with stir fried veggies)
- and Cassata ice cream.
Service was fast considering we were ordering so much food, we did not have to wait. All the dishes tasted good the chilli chicken had whole pieces of chillies which made us think it would be super spicy but it was not. If we have to recommend one dish it would be "Threaded Chicken" and the one dish which we wont mind skipping would be "Hot & sweet crispy potatoes".
Overall a great experience, good food, good ambiance and friendly staff.
Ambiance is good and we have tried veg items and I can say that you can love this place and yes this is Chinese restaurant people who love Chinese will also love this place, we tried corn soup, veg Manchurian and veg toast.
My rating is 3.75.
Old is gold kinda restaurant. Location is bang on the road but the mall doesn't give the feel.. Typical Chinese flavours all over
Decent service and pricing
Must try the veg manchuria!
Value for money 4/5
Service 4/5
Taste 4/5
A place with soothing ambience. For starters chicken with button mushrooms is a good option. Definitely should try for its chicken in lemon sauce and chicken. It has unique taste, a blend of both tanginess and sweetness. Noodles lovers should go for chicken mein fun . It's a rice soft noodles prepared in different style and tappanyaki noodles.
