Review Golden Dragan - Hyderabad

I am sure many of you will agree (maybe not) but i feel 9/10 bars serves delicious food but that is not the ratio with regular restaurants. Yesterday's dinner at Golden Dragon, CTC. I visited it yesterday to their Sambhar rice as I was told they make it the best. Along with the Sambhar rice I ordered a Chilli Prawns starter, water bottle and a Cassata ice cream. The total bill was 629 rupees inclusive of taxes. It is located next to the Hotel park lane inside a commercial building. The interiors are a bit dark for me but their service is very good. Now coming to their taste firstly about their Chilli prawns; it tasted very average. The prawns are soft but tasted nothing special. Next the Sambhar rice came along with mango pickle and a small bowl of ghee. It tasted super delicious particularly when you pour ghee on top of it. The cassata ice cream tasted yummy

Food tastes delicious. Service was swift and humble. Atmosphere is not comfortable for silence lovers as it become noisy as it gets busy.

One of the oldest and best bar cum restaurant in the city, great food like always even after so many years. Have a lot of memories with this place

Had been to this restaurant with my friends for a get together after a long time. The restaurant is very good and the service is very good. The waiters are very friendly and quick in understanding the needs of the customer. The food is very yummy. We had Banjara murgh kebab and it was very delicious and juicy with medium spice. Sambar rice was the best of all dishes we had. Chicken biryani was average. We had some snacks like egg burji, boiled eggs, boiled peanuts and roasted green peas. All the snacks were very tasty and nicely done as per our taste. Ample parking space. Easily accessible by all modes of transport and very good place to enjoy with your friends.

Was here yesterday with a friend. Had tandoori chicken, telangana chicken curry, butter roti and butter naan. Please look at the bill. Overpriced and the quality definitely doesn't justify the cost. The place is shady too. I know it's a bar and restaurant but lighting and ambience has substantial scope for improvement. Will give this shit place a miss going forward.

Was here with friends for a bday party, had very good time. Unable to provide images as we were in the bar and it was dark. This place also has separate family only section, which is very appreciable.<br/>Best part was the kheema biryani and the sambar rice, really too good.

I love bar food, of all the pre Y2K bars of hyderabad, some have stood against the test of time and some have faded away. the bars i speak of used to cater good food and liquor at reasonable rates in a smoke filled highly air-conditioned setting ( some have non-smoking and family sections too), to the hyderabadi working class and traders, people who were not members of prestigious clubs like secunderabad club, nizam club, etc., such is the crowd that usually hangs out here. There are patrons who are regular at such places for more than 30 years. for them its tradition.<br/>One such bar is Golden Dragon in Chenoy Trade Center Parklane. this place has stood the test of time. this place is famous for its kheema biryani and sambar rice.<br/>Had the following for dinner: <br/>Masala Papad: a typical bar snack, it was nice.<br/>Tawa Fried fish: made of boneless murrel fillets, spicy, Lemony, made why nose water! loved it!<br/>Coriander Chicken: a boneless preparation of chicken, with very evident flavour of fresh coriander, not spicy at all. it was an ok dish<br/>Sambar Rice: its different to the sambar rice you get in other parts of the town, this one is typical telangana style with a hint of sweetness.<br/><br/>Price: 2200 AI for 2, including 3x30 ML black label

This place is good for both veggies and non-veggies, what i like here is kaaju pulav and fish biryani. But most of my friends prefer this place for sambar rice, its really yummmy but as sambar rice is not my cup of tea i prefer either non veg or kaaju pulav. This is our regular hangout place.<br/>

The sambar rice here is the best one in city of all which I’ve tasted. The service is okay and ambience needed to be improved.Try to look into ambience and service issues.

This place is located inside the patny center on the first floor. I visited it around 1 pm and there is hardly any one inside.<br/><br/>I ordered chilli prawns [Rs.300], sambar rice [Rs.180], cassata icecream [Rs.90] and a mineral water bottle [Rs.30].<br/><br/>The sambar rice tasted super delicious and it came along with pickle and ghee. The prawn chilli did not taste that great.

Amazing and Superb restaurant and food is delicious.... And restuarant is pretty well. And services is also good! And everyone should and must try Sambar rice.

Went to the restaurant away from the bar outlet. Tried the spring roll, quiet tasty. Had the chicken boneless biryani very yummy and has great flavor too. The food is tasty and quantity is not bad either. I found the it a little too pricey. The bad is the service. Do not go here expecting your food to arrive at the table very quick. Waiters a pretty slow. The ambience is quiet good and atmosphere is nice.

Located near CTC , Secunderabad . Happened to be here for a beer and dinner . Had Shanghai Chicken , boiled peanuts as a snack . Sambar Rice here was really delicios .

It’s located in the heart of the secunderabad park lane in CTC we wil get anything related to computers it’s a very big market ... everything is good in Golden dragon ...sambar rice and Curd rice must eat dishes and kheema biryani is also very tasty , fast service ...

This is located in the very famous computer complex CTC. You would be crunched for parking space if you are going during business hours..<br/><br/>The ambience is good and service is also quick. Had the all time classic Chicken Manchow soup which was decent. As pointed out by one of my friends this soup has exact same taste at most of the places😆.<br/><br/>The crispy corn, pepper chicken and schezwan chicken were good for starters. Every corn kernel had a coating in the crispy corn which is rare to get. Chicken was soft and nicely spiced.<br/><br/>The chicken gravies: Chicken chatpata and Chicken Mughlai were also good and butter naan soft.<br/><br/>My friend recommended to taste SAMBAR RICE, and it was just fabulous. They provide a bowl of ghee with sambar rice and then when you eat it both mixed, it's just amazing in taste... Sambar rice would totally recommend.<br/><br/>Overall a nice place to grab a lunch/dinner with family.<br/><br/>P.S.: It is a bar/restaurant but it's a separate building, for only dining. So if you are with family and not drinking, no need to worry.
