Kamat hotel is one of the oldest in town which provide all types of tiffins items and Ala Carte dishes.
They provide 2 ambiances for sitting - with AC and without AC. If you are looking for North Indian taste then go for their lunch thali which is limited veg meal with variety of items including soup, biryani, dessert, poori and 3 types of curries with additional white rice. Sufficient for 2 people to enjoy. We even tried rawa masala dosa which was good.
Since the hotel is located in the centre of the market so parking space is less, but overall a good place to go along with family
Service is really really good.
Food is also good but I didn't find any newness as I have been visiting it from years earlier the taste and the variety of curries was awesome compared to now.
Aparty from its South Indian Thali, dosa idle and Vada is quite good.👍😊
We had the most amazing experience at Kamat hotel. We had dinner here and ordered thali. Food was yummy and was served with love and happiness. Would recommend this place if you looking for simple and nice meal.
Traditional and authentic south Indian taste. Quick service and piping hot food, something you don't get to taste with zomato, swiggy etc. Value for money eatery covering most of the south Indian dishes. Other items are also there on the menu but ideally visit this place for its tiffin and breakfast items. Parking is an issue but the location of the restaurant is a major factor for that.
This is an awesome place near lakdikapul. Just near Birla mandir. The food is tasty. The normal thali is enough for a person but they also have an unlimited one for a hundred rupees more.
The hotel has valet services which is very important considering the location where the hotel is. It's situated on the main road so this aspect gives peace of mind to people coming in car's.
The only downside is I have observed that masks are not properly worn and also tables are closely placed. This doesn't help in our current situation. That's the only reason for me not giving a 5 star.
Eating at this South Indian restaurant was a delightful experience! 😋 I tried the delicious masala dosa, Idli sambar along with a soothing cup of chai.
👍The seating arrangement was nice and the entire restaurant was well-maintained.
This place has been a local favorite for years and it's easy to see why. 🍽️🫕🍵
After Shanmuga’s in Colombo, this place in HYD is my second favourite for South Indian food. The variety of South Indian items here is incomparable to any other joint. Keeping aside a regular one, I tend to try different things everytime I visit. A must visit place in HYD.
Great place to get some quick service with quality food at reasonable prices.
Had a sambar wada and idly. Very tasty. Tea was great too.
Highly recommend.
Kamat Restaurant truly captivates with its fusion of traditional Indian flavors and modern twists. The courteous staff enhances the experience, offering helpful recommendations and attentive service. From delectable Paneer Tikka Tacos to flavorful Butter Chicken and innovative Saffron-Infused Crème Brûlée, the menu impresses with its balance of classic and creative dishes. Kamat is a must-visit for those seeking an elevated Indian dining adventure that's sure to leave a lasting impression.
One of the best puri I've ever had. Not too oily not too rubbery. The curry was good.
Also had upma which was delicious. Prices are reasonable. Good lighting and space is Hygienic. Order was served within few mins. Staff well behaved, quick to respond. Parking spacious for 2 wheelers. Breakfast Starts at 7 and go on till noon.

Kamath veg restaurant is one of the best places in hyderabad to enjoy vegetarian foods. I strongly recommend to start a new restaurant near Wipro Circle - Serilimgampally-Nallgandla western suburds of Hyderabad, as lot of IT people are living around this area and is emerging as a new Winner in hyderabad for residential grwoth and new food restaurants
Tried Crispy Masala Dosa here😋 (without red chutney spread 😅🙆🏻♂️)
Clean ambience and Good Food🙌🏻
I tried the nampally outlet, they do have one in abids as well opposite to birla mandir. One of the finest and affordable veg restaurants in Hyderabad. We bought their thali, it was quite good. We were staying for 5 days in Hyderabad and always had our lunch from kamat.
This is the best place for vegetarians. The food is not only delicious but the tiffin options are exceptional, with just the right balance of flavours and minimal spices.
