Review Ahoy Resto - Hyderabad

Beautifully spread across and tucked away just far enough away from the highway, Ahoy has a cool Nautical vibe going for it. As it rained we had a few too many mosquitos, eventually sitting indoors making it worthwhile. The tall glass lookout works well displaying the lawns, big outdoor screen and opportunity for children to stretch their legs while you enjoy your food and drink while keeping an eye on them. Overall, excellent food, ambience and service makes this a highly recommended restaurant.

If you have kids and still like to leave the house this is the place to go! They have a small playground for kids to play while you eat your dinner. I’ve been before because they have really good pizza but this time I came to test the claim they posted all over the streets “Best breakfast in Kompally”. The claim may be true, it’s certainly the best western style breakfast. The coffee is meh but the food was great. The French toast was out of this world.

Food is great but expensive, atmosphere is good, service was quick Ganesh Kumar served with good hostile.

This place is amazing. I've been visiting this place for years now. It was only in ground floor and didn't serve alcohol. Now, they expanded and servers alcohol Continental food is tasty. Waiters are courteous. The ambience is perfect and there a little play area for kids. Malai broccoli is my favorite. Their recently added dish lotus stem is also good Sizzlers are must try.

Food really grew on me. I like “lamb kheema pizza”, “kheema pulav”, and “chocolate cookie skillet with icecream”. chocolate cookie skillet is more like warm brownie (chocolate lovers will enjoy it). I would 100% recommend this place!!!

My friends and I are regulars at this place. Decent menu options with open space, play area for kids, bar in the ground floor, indoor dining option, TVs for the sports buffs. Serving and parking space could be better. Food was a bit off on our last visit. Consistency is key.

I visited this place couple of times, I can see a lot of improvement in terms of seating and food taste. Lot of dishes are added in the menu but the pricing is little high. Alcoholic drinks are also added in their menu. Matches are screened during IPL season. Staff are attentive and their service is appreciated. A chill out place, one can visit this place with their friends and family. Parking is available for 2 and 4 wheelers.

A perfect getaway from the busy city life. It has a beautiful ambience with both outdoor and indoor seating options. This place is spacious enough to accommodate lot of people. It’s a nice place to celebrate your special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and corporate events. The desserts we tried were really good and worth the price. Service was good. You cannot have one favourite when you come here. Everything you order tastes so good. One can enjoy everything but my repeat orders have been Roasted mushroom soup, Naanza, skillet cookie with vanilla.

One of the best place that I have visited recently. If you would like to spend decent time to taste delicious food then try Ahoy Resto. We tried different drinks, starters,pizza options that make us feel amazing with taste, presentation. Totally worth and different. You have ample space for parking and located at very peaceful location. Definitely recommend although it is slightly far from city.

Pasta was too bland. Didn't taste good. We even asked to remake it, still no improvement. Starters were decent.

Perfect for dates and hanging out. Kind of drive in place. The place is beautiful you’ll like it in one go. Though it is close to NH the location is very spacious and appealing. Enough parking space and you can find a play zone adjacent to it. Service might delay on weekends. I got my food after 20mins.

It was the frst time I tried Apple jalebi from this place ! It’s so soft , juicy and just melting away when u have a bite 🌟

The food was excellent and the place had a great vibe to it. We ordered seafood chowder, tandoori fish, grilled fish, chicken stroganoff and nutella french toast. The grilled fish and tandoori fish tikka were top notch.

Been here today for dinner after searching for good restaurants serving continental food and I must say I had one of the best dinner in the recent times. Tried ginger dujep mocktail which was amazing. Then we had garlic bread, chicken tortilla soup, butter fish, veg pizza and all of them were lip smacking delicious. Staff was cordial and the waiting time for food was surprisingly very little. The ambiance was pleasant and we had a great time. Would love to come again for dining and definitely worth the money.

Heard a lot about this place from those friends reciding in the shamirpet area and was eager to check it out. Being from the other side of the city went there for a drive on a perfect sunny day with couple of friends.<br/>And yes place has lived up to its expectations. It's a marine theme place with great interior and outside dining area and music was pleasant. The staff were polite and helpful. I would say dining outside in the evenings would be a great experience.<br/><br/>We ordered Broccoli cheese bullets, Lamb kheema pizza, Spinach Ricotta Cannelloni and a cold coffee.<br/>Lamb kheema pizza was absolutely delicious. It's a thin crust larze pizza and worth every bit.<br/>Broccoli cheese bullets were suggested to be a must try, the dish was amazing.<br/>Cannelloni was pretty decent and cold coffee was good. Just had the worst dining experience. Ordered Golden fried prawns, Alfredo pasta and Chicken tawa pulao. The prawns were rubbery and stinking. The pasta lacked flavour, the chicken felt undercooked and sauce was just milk and some fresh cream boiled together. When we called the chef, he simply argued that he worked at 5 star hotel before and that is how he’d cook. We just cancelled tawa pulao and left the place. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Been to this place with my friends for a party. The ambience is great and cozy with some live music. First, had some Veg Nachos. The taste wasn't great. Tasted a bit bland. Next, we went with Spiced Cottage Cheese and Chilli Pizza. The taste was pretty good. Next, went with Mint Choco Chip Milkshake. The milkshake was nice. The place is just great and the climate was superb. It was cozy and the serving staff were so kind to us. But the food wasn’t up to the mark. The chocolate cheese cake was great though. The chicken pulav was hot but too dry and hard as if it was oven heated after two three days. The apple waffles were okayish and isn’t that great. Chicken cheese balls were really bad. Garlic breads were really good and authentic. Brownie with ice cream were just good but a tad too sweet. I’m giving this a 3 star only for the ambience and the cheese cake

First off this place looks beautiful, the place was roomy, has a nice garden and outside seating area and the staff was polite. But that's as far as the compliments come for Ahoy Restro. Nothing is setting Ahoy Restro apart from it's competition like Thinesipo, rather Ahoy is falling short by a long stretch. <br/><br/>The food is sub-par and exorbitantly priced for the quality or quantity. The Pastas, the Pizza, the drinks were just not worth the long drive to this place. The Watermelon juice had the grated seeds which wasn't even strained (that's such a terrible texture) and the sugar syrup in the orange basil drink was sweeter than just drinking straight from the Haldirams Gulab Jamun can syrup. I hope the management/owners are reading this because I seldom come to Zomato to write reviews and if I am here, I'm really disappointed

This place looks absolutely stunning with a very beautiful ambience, both inside and outside. While the outside sitting is ideal for nights, it's a perfect place for a date night or a family dinner.<br/>The burgers here are foodgasmic and the salads look too beautiful to eat. Also tried the Oreo milkshake, it was a average. Overall, it's a really great place to be at and the service was also good.

I'd like to say that the staff was very friendly and the area is amazing and huge! Open Garden type view is really well made and the interior looks good too.<br/>Coming to the good part, I wasn't very happy with it as nothing out of all the dishes blew my mind away! They were all very Basic and The 'suggested' item wasn't anywhere close to Good enough to be trusted blindly and ordered! One of my favourite places in Kompally after Thinespo. Ahoy has a very pleasant vibe with indoor and outdoor seating area. Food and service was good for our first visit. IPL screening was there but the screen was a bit far from out seating. Lighting lacks at a few tables so make sure to get one with sufficient lighting.<br/><br/>We ordered few food items and more drinks - Summer!<br/><br/>-Chicken pepper Pizza and Penne pasta were okay.<br/>-Andhra Kodi vepudu had too much of Masala and salt in it so we couldn't finish that.<br/>The drinks we ordered were bubblegum shake, orange basil mojito, fresh lime soda and Mango Berry smoothie. This place was relatively new to me and I decided to give it a fair shot. Located in Kompally, away from the hustle, I thought this place would have a lot to offer. With such pre-conceived notions, I finally visit this place.<br/><br/>Ambience - Oh boy! It is such a huge property and so well designed! It is a based around the idea of recreating on-the-deck vibe and I think they did exceeding well. They offer indoor as well as outdoor seating options but the bean bags in the lawn were definitely the best, atleast for me.<br/><br/>Food - Okay, so I have mixed emotions over here. Maybe my expectations were too high or maybe they are still in the developing stage of their food.<br/>What I ordered :<br/>1. Mushroom and cheese bruschetta - LOTS of mushroom and a little cheese (read unmelted cheese). This was the first thing that arrived at our table and I didn't really like it. It wasn't that warm, I am afraid that they might have served us some reheated precooked stuff or leftovers.<br/>2. Cream Sauce Pasta - This was half decent yet it had some flaws. I think there is something up with them and unmelted cheese because they just don't seem to serve melted cheese. It felt dry but the veggies were perfectly cooked and the sauce was good.<br/>3. Nutella Cappuccino : A M A Z I N G. The foam was to die for and I really enjoyed every sip of this one. A must try for everyone!<br/>4. Choco Frappè : This was good too. Nothing exceptionally good but yes, worth a try.<br/>5. Oven-baked fresh veggie pizza : Thin crust, lots of veggies and low on cheese. This was just average. I really liked the fact that they offer 9" and 12" pizzas for the same price.<br/><br/>Service : Courteous and Quick! They served our order in like hardly 10 minutes. We didn't really have to wait and the staff is interactive.<br/><br/>Final verdict -<br/>Ambience : 5/5<br/>Food : 3/5<br/>Value for Money : 3/5 (a little bit on the pricier side and the quality of food doesn't really justify that.)<br/>Service : 4/5<br/>

I had onion rings, mushroom and cheese bruschetta, and pomodoro pasta.<br/>The food was great! The cake however was taken by the bruschetta, which was exceptional.<br/><br/>For drinks, I had the Vietnamese cold coffee which had distinctively strong coffee taste.<br/><br/>Highly recommending it!

The salsa was good, nachos had a spice sprinkle which was pretty good.<br/><br/>We tried both fish and chicken tikka, they only have these 2 in tandoor what we could find. The fish was a real bad one. The fish didn't have much flavour, had a bad odour , overcooked. The chicken on the other hand was better when compared but again nothing amazing. Probably a bad day for tandoor.<br/><br/>We had the pasta which was really good, pasta done to Al Dante , creamy sauce topped with some parmesan shavings.<br/><br/>The veg tikki platter (don't remember the name) had poha kebabs and hara bhara kebabs. Both were good.<br/><br/>The shakes and frappes all were done really good , a plus point here.<br/><br/>The lamb pizza again was a star , thin crust , good sauce and topping.<br/><br/>Service and pricing:<br/>The service is prompt , quick and leave no gaps. Ahoy, a huge beautiful place in Kompally. The ambiance is impressive. The staff is courteous and the food delicious. We ordered spiced cottage cheese and peppers pizza - Good spicy, thin crust and yummy.<br/>Cheesy fries - Hot and delicious, perfect for a winter evening<br/>Orange Basil Mojito - Very very orangy and worth it.<br/><br/>I have heard that there is live music on the weekends too. The menu looks impressive with the varities that they offer.<br/><br/>Would love to visit and try more stuff.

The Ambience, food, taste , quantity and the service everything was good but little pricey. Music was very loud when we went may be a good choice for college students or friends gang. Would really be nice if more greenary the area is since you have enough place to do that.

Great ambience. Good taste. This area desperately needed another quality outlet for good food. <br/>The sikandari raan was to die for. The keema pizza too was perfectly spiced. Bacon wrapped mirchi was a very unique combination but when it works it just works.

Saw this place unexpectedly while I was visiting " Being social " drive in.<br/><br/>Let me tell you, the place looks absolutely stunning. The lighting, the outdoor area, the indoor sitting and every single detail is absolutely love at first sight!<br/><br/>Ambience : 5/5<br/><br/>We order a roasted chicken pizza ( The only chicken pizza option available) , chocolate waffles, Paneer tikka, chicken burger and a oreo milkshake.<br/><br/>Pizza : First I was little hesitant to spend 320 on a pizza in a new place, however the hotel attender told me that the pizza dough they make is hand made and is fresh, so I gave it a shot. I take the first bite and boom, the pizza tasted amazing! The sauce used was pesto sauce which is my fav, the topping are high on quantity and the pizza was a thin crust with a total of 8 pieces. Absolutely loved it, however I really hated the fact that there is only 1 option for the chicken pizza.<br/><br/>Waffles : There were 4 pieces of waffles served with a scoop of chocolate ice cream. The ice cream was absolutely stunning ( Heavenly I should say) and the waffles were equally good. They were soft and not much crispy.<br/><br/>Paneer tikka : loved this one as well. The Paneer was really really fresh and the flavor was great. And the yogurt served with it was spot on.<br/><br/>Burger : Again I was limited to only 1 option as there was only 1 chicken burger. The chicken patty was really huge and the burger tasted really well. However the French fries served with it were very soft and not at all crispy which was a bit disappointing.<br/><br/>Oreo milkshake : Found it pretty good but nothing really special. I mean we can find the same milkshake with the same taste in almost all the restaurants.<br/><br/>Food : 4/5<br/><br/>Overall I would strongly suggest this place for the beautiful ambience and the amazing food they serve, however I feel that they should Increase options on menu ( Especially add more variety of chicken pizzas and burgers)<br/>

Good place to chill out with friends or your girl. Fast from city noise or pollution. Not many food options or drinks. Available option are good rates but little pricy than in city.

An unexpected visit as we were over for some shopping. Ordered Vegetable Sandwich and Paneer Tikka Sub followed by Americano, Oreo Milk Shake and the taste was upto the mark. Outside seating was a wow factor in the winters and this place has ample parking within the premises.<br/>Taste wise we liked the food was was the ambience and the staff and timely service. <br/><br/>Will look forward to coming back here at leisure sometime soon!

The quality of meat needs inspection. They served raan which was not thawed properly and was extremely cold. They meat is not fresh here. Pork vindaloo was not great. Broccoli cheese bullets was fine. Pomfret was not fresh and wasn’t cooked properly. Chicken kebabs too was disappointing. <br/>

For a place in middle of nowhere Ahoy seems to have gained a good customer base from the residential communities around - quiet surprisingly populated this stretch of land. I tried the garlic bread , mushroom stroganoff , skillet cookie and peach ice tea . Service was crisp , the food decent and prices very earthy. The stroganoff can do with a more fluid sauce and the cookie in the skillet be more well baked. Ice tea can actually be brewed tea rather than being a packet based drink ...<br/><br/>The alfresco area is a seating of choice for obvious reasons , but a few mist fans with eucalyptus oil is a welcome addition

Taste is excellent. Even though little costly worth of bucks. Tried prawns and chicken pizza. They are too good. Children play area also there. Service is good. But in the bill they are adding service charge besides GST. Better place for romantic evening....

Place and service: Decently designed place, a perfect place for a beautiful evening. A blessing in disguise for Kompally. The whole place is landscaped perfectly. The place has enough parking and the staff is very polite and helpful. <br/><br/>Food: Below average food. We ordered loaded cheese nachos with Salsa that tasted smoky and mild. The nachos were soft not crispy. We ordered a mushroom snack with cheese that was totally bad. The pasta had good fresh juicy veggies but tasted kind of okay okay. The Orange mint cooler missed the fizz. The most satisfying was the heavenly brownie sizzler with ice cream. This single dish made us forget the rest of the bad experiences. 100 marks to this dessert. <br/><br/>Finally I would say that this place will not disappoint you. Worth a visit.<br/>

I have been there few times, their standards are coming down, totally disappointed with taste. Even their bubblegum shake was not as good as it was...<br/>

I was in search of new outlets in and around my neighbourhood, Just while getting down the bridge towards suchitra, I could see an ambient place over the view and just made a U turn i and tenderness of the meat made my day. Good ambience and Good place to hangout.<br/>

I stay in the same locality and was planning to visit this restaurant for quite sometime as it’s one of the best in ambience!Ive been here on a Sunday evening and we got the table easily!As I heard the ambience was just perfect! The service was also good they received us well!The one thing I was disappointed about was the food!I liked the cuisine but I didn’t like the taste!Food was expensive which didn’t matter but I felt it wasn’t worth!Chicken wings weren’t tender enough!Fish was not soft!I specially asked them to add extra broccoli in my Pasta but they didn’t add normal pasta and just put too much Basil on it.Chicken tikka pulao was burnt!Pizza could’ve been better!I expected a better taste from such nice restaurant!And last of all they levied service charge along with GST which isn’t acceptable at all!

A new place always excites me.....Have been to this place today. A very spacious cafe but with limited menu. Still whatever we ordered was delicious. As already mentioned it had both indoor n outdoor seating n both very equally pleasing. A garden area was also there which was add on for kids to get occupied. Highlight was the crockery or the serving dishes they were using. But in all a must visit place except for the pricing I felt little on higher side but overall a very good experience.

I went on a drizzling evening . Ambience was top notch . Staff were well trained . Food was good . I would recommend it for people looking for a quiet dinner after a long drive .

Their immediate response and timely actions will make your visit more pleasant.

Best place for hangout! Perfect ambience! Good food + good friends = heavenly times! Tried carbonara,pumpkin soup with bacon,skillet & hazelnut cream cake! Very gud at affordable rates!

The ambience always sets the mood for the food. At Ahoy, the place was lit so beautifully for dinner.<br/><br/>We had the broccoli cheese bullets, paneer tikka sub, veg penne pasta and nachos with salsa along with the refreshing drinks. The nachos surely stood out in the crowd but the pasta was a bit disappointing.<br/><br/>Dessert- we had the thick chocolate and ice cream waffle and banana split boat. Both were good enough.<br/>

Different varieties of food available, but for vegetarians absolutely No No .. hardly anything to eat... Disappointed completely.. may not visit again though ambience is good<br/>

Just the ambience is good but food is worst! Below average. We ordered around 10-12 dishes as we were 10 people for a birthday party. Not even 3 out of 10 dishes were good. Just 1 or 2 were good. Onion rings were just dammm oily. Fish couldn't be swallowed like a chewing gum. Veg.rice was spicy n tasteless. Chat masala was added to raita funnily. Atlast even waffles were not upto the mark. They need to change the chef or the business will drop down. Though ambience is good, people would eod come back only if the food is tasty!<br/>

the food is good, the environment is nice. we orderd the shakes which were really nice, and pizza, they were excellent. however the pasta in comparison was a little subpar

"Ahoy!", says this unique new Cafe restaurant as you pass by the Kompally highway! 🛣️<br/><br/>A boat/ ship themed establishment, with fine attention to details, makes it quite an appealing place. ⛵⚓<br/><br/>There's a huge grass lawn garden outside, and also a large open air seating space among some palm trees and pebbles. Great place to chill on a breezy evening! ☁️🌴<br/><br/>Inside, the decor was much better, with some mellow lighting and soft jazz playing in the background. 🎷😊<br/><br/>Being a hungry bunch of 6, we ordered a LOT of food:<br/><br/>🍢 BROCCOLI CHEESE BULLETS (260/10) - Crunchy fritters made of a rich and cheesy vegetable mixture. Served with a sweet and spicy sauce, good choice for the vegetarians!<br/><br/>🌰 CORN CRUSTED ONION RINGS (220/10) - Greasy and soggy. Lacked the flavor, again, the dip served alongside was good!<br/><br/>🥪 PANEER TIKKA MINT SANDWICH (280) - A 6" long sub, loaded with fresh salads, spicy paneer tikka cubes, and a strong mint after taste! Really liked the flavors, however it felt dry and could definitely take more mint sauce.<br/><br/>🍝 CREAM SAUCE PASTA (280/veg) - Perfectly boiled penne in a white sauce that was a tad bit dry, with veggies! No garlic bread was served with the pasta.<br/><br/>🍕 SPICED COTTAGE CHEESE AND PEPPERS (320/12"(6)) -<br/>AMAZING! A strong after taste of burnt chilly, with soft and fresh cottage cheese topping. The best pizza of the 4 we had for sure.<br/><br/>🍕 NAPOLITANA (300/12"(6)) - A vegetarian classic, with fresh tomatoes, basil and olives.<br/><br/>🍕 CLASSIC PORK PEPPERONI (350/12"(6)) - Classic pepperoni, with thin slices of meat, and a garnish of fresh basil.<br/><br/>🍕 ROAST CHICKEN (320/12"(6)) - No flavor came out too particularly in this one, however, liked the spring onion garnish and taste overall.<br/><br/>With all the praise about the pizzas, be aware, they weren't all that good. There was a very scarce amount of toppings, sauce and close to no cheese. For the price, I would stay away from them the next time.<br/><br/>🍳 BAKED EGGS FLORENTINE (250) - A big bowl of creamy saucy soup, with 2 eggs soft poached right in the middle. It looked upsetting at first sight, but this turned out to be one of the best dishes of the night! Only 1 piece of toast was served with the big bowl, garnished with a small drop of butter.<br/><br/>🐟 BEER BATTERED FISH AND CHIPS (370/3) - Fine cuts of fish, in this classic dish. However, the fish wasn't fresh and had a very strong and nauseating smell. Also, not worth the price.<br/><br/>🍔 PULLED PORK AND RED CABBAGE SLAW BURGER (320) -<br/>Saved the best for the last! This was my favorite item of all we had! Spicy and strongly flavored juicy pork, came together with a sour tartar curd/ mayo and a bed of fresh and crunchy red cabbage. Served with a small portion of fries.<br/><br/>After all that food, ordered some shakes to wash down:<br/><br/>🥤 BUBBLEGUM SHAKE (160) - This came in second, only after the pork burger, in my list of favorite items! Strong bubblegum taste brought back the little kid. Absolutely loved this one!<br/><br/>🥤MINT AND CHOCOCHIP SHAKE (160) - A unique blend of chocolate and fresh mint, refreshing!<br/><br/>🥤 OREO CHOCO SHAKE (160) - A standard Oreo Chocolate shake, nothing special. Garnished with a deconstructed Oreo.<br/><br/>☕ NUTELLA CAPPUCCINO (150) - Strong brew with a mild nutella after taste. A nice hot beverage for a change.<br/><br/>Ended the meal with some desserts:<br/><br/>🥞 DOUBLE CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER PANCAKE (250/3) -<br/>Fluffy and soft pancakes with a dash of powdered sugar and chocolate sauce dressing. No sign of any double chocolate. The pancakes were good. The overly huge serving of Peanut butter was unnecessary.<br/><br/>🥧 THICK CHOCOLATE AND ICE CREAM WAFFLE (300) -<br/>A big waffle cut in 4 pieces, served with a chocolate sauce drizzle, and a scoop of chocolate ice cream. The waffle was too dry and crunchy, and overall had too much sugar.<br/><br/>🥧 CHOCOLATE COOKIE SKILLET (320) - Avoid! It didn't sizzle, nor was it a brownie. Just a flat chocolate pancake with some chocolate sauce garnish. Too expensive, no taste.<br/><br/>Some complimentary focaccia bread was served as an accompaniment. It was buttery and baked well. Would love to see some garlic or Italian garnish on it! 😄<br/><br/>All this food was served very professionally and with a big smile by our host for the night, Mr. Sunil. I especially appreciate the way he interacted with us and his tone of talking! Kudos! 👏🏻<br/><br/>One point about the service, the head waiter/ manager was very casual in his approach, when asked how many slices in a pizza, he replied "8 to 9". This was a lifetime first for me, a pizza with variable slices. 😂<br/><br/>Coming back to the food, and Ahoy as a place overall. True a lot of capital has gone into establishing the beautiful place, but the prices are extraordinarily and unnecessarily high. While the desserts weren't worth half of what we paid, the pizzas simply couldn't justify the price, with little to no toppings and small size. The food was amazing, but the portions were a little small for the prices, at least for the éntrees. Really good ambience and the presentation of the food was wonderful.
