Review Kholani's Kitchen - Hyderabad

They speak English, and they provide nice customer service. They complied with all what I indicated, from music to A/C. The naan and the Briyani were great.

The ambience is pretty good for the family section. We had Chicken 65, Kholani's special chilly chicken and Yoga chicken for starters. The yoga chicken was not at all good as it was heavily coated like a deep fried pakoda. We were not impressed with the starters but the main course was explosively good!. We had chicken curries with yummy butter naans. I would definitely recommend this place for the main course meal.

Kholanis Restaurant is a name that every member of our family would swear by for their impeccable food over all these years! I remember, I was in 3rd grade or so when I first visited this place and have been visiting since then! And everytime, I only left this place having both my Heart and tummy satisfied! There'd be hardly anything left on the menu that I wouldn't have tried, You bet! But our most consistent Order here comprises of Soup(of all the places I've had soups, the one very close to perfection is the one I had at Kholanis be it their Hot n sour or Manchow soup), Majestic and Pepper Chicken in Chinese Starter, Tandoori Chicken and Zafrani Kebab in tandoor, Apollo Fish(You better not miss this, truly a Gem), KKK Chicken in Gravy and Fried Rice! Also, You should definitely try their Haleem, the best Off Season haleem you get is here at Kholanis, that's for sure! And their American Chopsuey is also brilliant! The service is great and staff is very friendly and hospitable! They don't take up much time in the kitchen even when it's housefull, so that's definitely a big plus about this place! Do try them if you haven't yet, anyhow I know most of You might already be in love with this place just like Me! You can also celebrate your special occasions here, they take care of it perfectly!

As always 5 stars service, food, well maintained AC temperature. We tried American chope suey and mutton Biryani. They have wide variety of Veg and non Veg dishes.

A nice ambeince to sit back relax and enjoy the delicious food with family or friends. The greenery along the dining table section. There are famous chat bhandars, juice and pan shop adjacent to the hotel. The food over here is tasty with economical price. A sure hit place to hangout for food

The best Mogalian Biryani I have ever had, I think this is one of the " Hidden gem 💎 " of Hyderabad. Do try at your nearest locations @ Towlichoki, Abids and Banjaaraa hills. Just visit and you'll experience the magic of Food..!!

I have been going to this restaurant for a very long time (approx. 23 years) and I totally love the atmosphere, ambience, food and service. Never have I had a complaint with either of them. Will always be a loyal customer for you guys.

No doubt the food is good, but they need to take care of the hygiene. There were cockroaches roaming on the couches in the dining section.

The food service is quick and the food is tasty. Tried the Apollo & afgani fish with butter naan. For someone who prefers spicy food can try Apollo fish. The afgani fish was okay, didn't enjoy the taste. Been here twice for lunch and it's a good option after a hectic shopping day.

Stale meat, it had a very bad smell and chicken 65 had chicken feather's in it. Very unhygienic.

Really poor service. You need to wait for 10 mins to get a bottle of soft drink. Food takes ample amount of time. The sides served with food are really sweet( which is not good )

Bad service. We had special biryani, and it was not tasty. For having biryani this is not the correct restaurant. Overall, ambience of the restaurant was good but not preferable for tasty food!!

Went for dinner yesterday at kholanis branch situated near hanumantekdi...have been going to this place since my school day...so wanted to check out there new renovated section...ordered garlic kabab which was soft n good..n banjra kabab we're under done...naan size has shruk drastically..and dum ka murg was good in taste but quantity served was very less..we love there bone less chicken briyani..so we ordered but was not the same taste as before salan was a paste of unroasted masala...over all experience was not good and der table cloth n chair are never ever clean don't no why always stains allover...never going back again..<br/>

I went for lunch here with my family i ordered mutton family pack biryani mutton was completely smelly and no taste biryani i informed staff that there is bad smell in mutton kindly change the mutton staff said that there is no smell mutton will be like that only we didn't even touch single piece finally lunch plan gone disaster.

Last nyt been thr with the family. Its was a total disaster. Ordered tandoori, it was good as ever bt they did nt provide onions till v finished half of it. Taken normal drinking water which was smelling like oil and saw something floating like oil in d glass along with the dead lil insect. Than the main course ordered kholanis special mutton curry and kkk mutton curry along with roti. The currys were all tasteless not even hot and was feeling like they added some masala in the boiled mutton and it was not even covered wen given on table. And no body attended to ask the 2nd round for rotis and did not care to ask further order. Bill came arround 1700 bt felt like money wasted totally. I will nvr again go to any outlet of kholani's. Hate it.

I've been visiting this place since a little kid. You name a dish from the menu and I'm sure to have tried it keeping in mind that I'm a regular visitor here.<br/>The dishes I frequently order here is veg.hot & sour soup, chicken manchow soup, chicken majestic , pepper chicken, Apollo fish , butter naan, KKK chicken, veg fried rice & tandoori chicken. The ambience was welcoming and cooler since we sat in the air conditioned section considering the summers. The food was good, especially the chicken sweet sour corn soup, butter naan and loose prawns. The staff was okayish, servicing was a bit too slow cause we had to wait for a long time to begin the next course. It was definitely worth the wait I guess.

Food tastes bland. They've no knowledge of cuisines, but argues bluntly. Should be given 0 rating, but no choice. Biryani, fried rice doesn't taste good, not even worth half of it price. Very bad experience and a great regret

High price for the qualify of food served. We ordered chicken biriyani and noodles, the taste was average. The chicken biriyani is not hyderabadi style and chicken pieces tastes and smells little raw. The cabbage in noodles was burnt. When we complaint about burnt cabbage which is clearly visible the staff just ignored it.

This is oldest of their restaurants. I have been visiting them for over 15 years. The quality is constantly going down.<br/><br/>Food 3.5:<br/><br/>Biryani is not typical Hyderabadi Dum biryani. It's must try for people who want to try another flavor. Looks like they have removed boneless mutton biryani from their menu. After having average experiences at kholani's banjara hills and tolichowki branches wanted to see what their oldest branch has got. This place is quite difficult to locate without navigation and the narrow lane can easily be missed. <br/><br/>The moment you enter the place you'll get a typical dhaba type vibe with open seating on your right and a shade on left. Maybe they didn't renovate the place since ages 😑. It can get even worse during winters when you'll have your dinner along a dozen of mosquitoes always accompanying you 😣. <br/><br/>Talking about service the staff is very much dull and seems like they are forced to work here. My Soup was served to a empty chair at the corner of our table. Maybe we need to take a paranormal activist with us. Had a decent Chicken fried rice here. The place is good for a hangout or late night dinner. Open till 12 AM which is the best part. The place to eat is surrounded by plants which gives it a really pleasant feel.

The biryani they provide doesn't have true Hyderabadi taste. <br/>I was here to Takeaway family pack biryani to home. The only family pack which is available here is a combination of mutton and chicken. <br/>We all disliked it's taste, It was over spicy and quality wasn't so good. The rice and meat were rigid and veg Biryani is also a let down.<br/>The quantity was so less at an unfair high price. They didn't even provided salad with the parcel. <br/><br/>The only great thing about this outlet was the ambience and service. You got option to eat in open air or under a roof. <br/>The service is quick and the staff is super friendly. <br/><br/>Overall, Hyderabad is the homeland of Biryani and they fail to provide the true taste of Hyderabad. One of the oldest restaurants and a very famous food chain. It's been a while since I have dined here but ought to say, they serve a very delicious Moghal Cuisine. A good budget restaurant.

Kholanis at Koti is one of the oldest and best restaurants in Hyderabad they serve you the variety of food but my favourite is Apollo fish, Fried Loose prawns and Pather ka ghost in starter. Next in main course I prefer Chinese mix noodles, Fried rice, Chicken Manchriya gravy and then follows mutton gravy curry and Butter Naan with desert Gajar ka halwa follows. The last is lemon soda. they should open A/C hall soon... A good place to hangout with family and friends. The staff is very co- operative and helpful.

Weve odered chicken biryani , prawns biryani nd reshmi kebab ! Worst biryanis ever ! No spice ! no taste ! Weve asked the waiter to get biryanis with extra masala ! It had masala which has no taste ! And the quantity was so less ! Kebab was just ok better than the biryanis ! 250bucks without taxes priced for 6 tiny pieces of kebab with a normal non a/c seating is not at all worth it ! Overall experience was worst ! Will never visit again!

The kholanis which i used to visit 10 - 15 yrs back was a very decent quiet place with AC and small courtyard outside with very tasty food and friendly staff and manager. We all friends used to visit very often. My visit tonight was totally opposite. Starting we have to wait for table to be relived by other customers. Then the sitting is totally packed by surrounding buildings with no proper airflow. So there are 2 coolers opp to one another which are poorly maintained and we were given table somewhere corner with no cooling and our family had to suffer with humidity.We ordered veg corn soup which was so pathetic. Then patther ke gosht, american chopseuy and kebabs were saving grace. Toilet facilty was pathetic with single outside washbasin for handwash for both sexes and unhygenic. Service was very bad , careless, with no one to guide or serve properly. The floor manager was trying to be helpful but cant do much.Ultimately a horrible experience. Prefer to go to kholani tolichowki , spice 6, barbeque nation, four seasons.

I visited last night, instead of Updating as Family biryani in menu they should incorporate it has single plate Biryani because quantity is too low but I can give 3 rating for taste out of 5.

It has always been my effort that I try out some standard dish which no chef worth his salt can bungle because once a standard preparation is messed up I can be sure that a delicate one surely will.<br/><br/>Kholani's is famous for its unique brand of Hyderabadi biryani and kebabs. The branch at Koti being the oldest surely can be expected to set standards for others to realise.<br/><br/>Ambience: I loved it. The "garden" feel really appealed to me. I wonder why many in this forum did not like it.<br/><br/>Service: Albeit slow, the staff were courteous and warm enough for me to not grumble.<br/><br/>Food: Overrated. To be honest the biryani lacked the willingness to assault one's slumber and was as phlegmatic as a winter morning in North Bengal. There is a huge gap between the maintenance of the Banjara Hills outlet & the one at Abids. Behavior of the staff also is evidently lower in standard in comparison.<br/><br/>Renovation of the place is on & I hope it will also result in the standard of this outlet going a notch higher.<br/><br/>Food here is also a notch lower in quality in comparison to both of their other outlets in the city.<br/><br/>Service surprisingly is quick here, it doesn't take as long to get the food on the table as it takes at the Banjara Hills & Toli Chowki outlets.<br/><br/>Prices here are lower than the ones at the other two outlets, but as the food quality goes lower in comparison, it just balances things out.<br/><br/>Overall, will rate this outlet a 2.75 on 5 & may go back after the renovation.

On a Chilli Night, I headed out with Kids for Snacks but ended up having Dinner at Kholani's (Koti). Was Actually Surprised by the Sitting Arrangements. It gave Me a Cozy Winter Dinner (Dhaba feeling) in the outskirts being in City Limits. Flavor Infused Candles lit up by Table was Amazing. Now, Coming to Food, We had ordered Chicken Sweet Corn Soup, Hot n Sour Soup Masala Papad (My Fav) Szechuan Prawns Shanghai Fish. Tastewise everything was Okay Okay.<br/>The waiters seemed too Frustrated in Serving and Did Mistakes. Later we Ended it Up with Fresh Fruit Jiuces (Watermelon & Pineapple) for Kids and I asked for FreshLime Soda which was a Disaster, First they gave Me a FreshLime Water when I asked for a Replacement they just Squeezed a Lemon and Poured Soda Water and Served. I believe I make Million times better Drinks at Home. Mocktails are to be Dressed-Up Well before serving.<br/>On the whole it was an average experience.<br/>

One of the best places in town to dine at. Been to this place several times since my childhood. The ambience is cool and pleasant as you are surrounded by plants. Service-though you have to wait sometime to taste your food is pretty fair. Their speciality however The Kholanis special hyderbadi biryani is just lip-smakaring which is boneless and feels absolutely lite and scrumptious. Also never forget to taste chicken -65(wonderfully soft just melts in mouth)The only thing that annoys me here is the quantity.

I can tell that Kholani's is my family restaurant ( I have been coming here since I was a kid), it is a great place for a family dinner. The garden area will give you a good feeling, there is a quick delivery to your table by the waiters here. The food is really good, it doesn't have much oil, and one should must try Chicken 65 here as you will not find such an authentic dish anywhere else. However, lately, I have found that the restaurant is slowly losing it charm, may be its because of the quantity of food, however the quality here is unbeatable. Worth a try!

Kholani's Abids is one of my favorite eateries in town. You can't really go wrong with any dish here, be it the kababs or the biryani. The butter naan is fantastic. <br/><br/>Hong Kong Chicken is another dish I never grow tired of. Must try. <br/>Even the mutton kababs are great, something that isn't usually the case in a lot of restaurants. <br/>The ambience may not be phenomenal but the food makes up for everything because once you take the first bite, all else is forgotten. <br/><br/>A must try place for everyone in the vicinity.

After having a great Kholani's experience at Tolichowki, i decided to give the original restaurant a try. Expectations were obviously higher from the ancestor, but i was dissapointed. Not exactly with the food, coz thats not the only thing that frames your view about the restaurant. <br/><br/>First of all, why do they have a table right adjacent to the washroom? The diner gets a regular unwanted glimpse of the toilet everytime someone enters and leaves, along with continous stench. All this while you are eating???? Pathetic!<br/>However we decided to go to the Patio section. There we were welcomed with a power-cut, means no AC, no fans on a summer noon. <br/>We got back to the Dining hall where we fortunately got another table.<br/><br/>And then we have this senior most waiter Mr.Murthy who's first sentence, i will always remember. "Sir, the starters take 20 minutes to be served and the main course items, 5 minutes." !@#$?? <br/>He was not giving us options, he was giving ultimatum - "This is what we got! Do you want it or not?"<br/>His attitude reminded me of Ranbir Kapoor's DOCOMO ad. I'm 200% sure that the creative director of that ad had visited Khloani's (Abids) and was served by Mr.Murthy.<br/><br/>The only reason he did not had it from me was his age. If Kholani's is listening, please note that my experience was bad due to your arrogant waiter.
