Review Chopstick City - Indore

Peaceful ambiance. Hospitality is great. Authentic pan Asian food. We tried the chicken and leek dim-sums. It was served with kimchi and 3 types of sauces. I loved the basil and onion sauce. We also tried the prawn noodles. It had lot of prawns to it. It was my first time to try the sushi and it was creamy and nice. Must visit.

Atmosphere/ Décor: The beautiful ambience of Chopstick City is at par with the Chinese culture; with dim lighting and a cosy seating, it makes you feel tranquil. The live kitchen only adds up to the charm of the restaurant. Food/ Menu: Chopstick city flaunts a fine Chinese menu, from authentic Dim sums to desserts they have it all. Ironically, they didn’t give you Chopsticks for your meals until a few months ago. I would recommend going for the Spicy Lung Fung soup, Wontons, Exotic vegetables in Chilli Basil sauce or Seasonal vegetables with Broccoli in Chinese parsley sauce with the regular fried rice and finishing your meal with the delectable Honey noodles with Almond flakes. Recently, I tried their “Wholesome Bowlsome” meal and I was thoroughly disappointed with the limited choice, portion size and the taste of the meal. Back in the day they had introduced the Table d’Hote Menu which was a lovely four course meal (which started with a soup and ended with desserts – you were to choose the dishes from their special menu) at a price of Rs.400/- (Vegetarian meal) and Rs.500/- (Non-Vegetarian meal). Having had the incredible four course meal, I am no longer interested in ordering individual items and paying twice the amount for the same dishes. So, I’m still hoping they would introduce the Table d’Hote Menu soon. Service: Known for the best hospitality in Indore, I was quite disappointed with their services during my recent visits. Recommendation: I would recommend this place to people who are looking forward to having a fine authentic Chinese meal.

Chopstick City is a chinese outlet of Sayaji, Indore. This is a really plush place and I recently visited this restaurant when they were serving authentic Beijing food. Here is my detailed review for it: Food : Food served here authentic Chinese and you should only visit the place if you love that. The spices, oils, sauces and all the ingredients taste originally from China. It is not like our Indo Chinese cuisine that we get in cafes and Restaurants generally. My recommendations here will be : 🔸Jasmine tea 🔸Veg Fried Rice 🔸Veg Schezwan Noodles 🔸Wrap 🔸Darsaan with Vanilla Ice cream Price : This place is slightly on the pricier side but you can use Zomato Gold or Dineout here. It originally costs you ₹900 for a person. Ambience : This place has classic Chinese ambience. The restaurant is built on a red theme with giant wall artistry. It all gets better with Chinese music going out in the background. Ambience of the place is just bang on! Service : When you are at Sayaji you really do not have to worry about the service. It will be one of the best that you will ever get.

My go-to place for Pan-Asian cuisine in Indore. Have tried a lot of items on their menu and loved them all. The fried icecream deserves a special mention.

We visited Chopstick City on Sunday. It was just opened after COVID. Very few people were dining at the hotel. It didn't seem like Sunday because of few people. But ambience and service is very good. We tried Burmese Khousey Soup, Tempura Uramaki Veg ( Sushi) , Carrot and Truffle Dimsum, Pan fried Noodles with Hot Garlic Sauce and Asian Crispy Veg. Food was very good in taste. I tried sushi for the first time and it was very yummy. Also Dimsum was very good in taste. A must visit place if you want to have authentic taste.

Good quality and taste, the way we expect from a Sayagi group restaurant. Ordered Manchow soup, Corn Cubes and vegetable hakka noodles. Liked both soup and corn cubes. Last but not the least, ordered fried icecream which is among the best things to taste. Although improvement can be made in giving prompt service.

What a fantastic experience we had @ 11.15 night after waiting almost 45 minutes. The food was awesome 👏 and this clap is for the Chef. Next time in Indore I will be your guest 😃

The ambiance and service is good. The menu has a decent selection of popular pan Asian dishes. The food was also tasty, however some items on the menu (the Vietnamese spring rolls for example) were disappointing. Overall a good place for a nice slow lunch with adults or older kids. Do not recommend if you have impatient/ active toddlers/kids who need food immediately to sit in one place. The food takes time to arrive, and the ambiance is very quiet, so even a well behaved younger child will sound loud between courses. Wheelchair accessible, follow COVID protocols and was not crowded while we were there (Saturday early lunch time). They had perfume/essential oil diffuser on while we were there which might be a issue for those with allergies.

If you are in Indore, this place deserves a visit. Visit this place, order dumplings and veg spring roll. Now read the menu, ask the waiter to help you understand the preparation of the dish, he will very well do that. A very welcoming place. Excellent service. Palatable food.

Superb, outstanding and delicious food. My craving for good Chinese food was finally satiated, in fact we over ate such was the taste of food. Everything was perfect the decor, service, and off course the food. It is worth the money charged in every respect. What also impresses me is the No Tip policy of the hotel here or at Barbecue Nation chain of restaurants of the same group. It is not that one cannot tip it is just that this makes a good impression. Oh wow! This place never fails in terms of taste! Try the dimsums and thai green curry its very delicious! They keep serving jasmine tea so that you can balance out the spices and keep your digestive system clean. I loved the place although i feel the service could have been better, Even though it wasnt disgusting. Its a nice place for family dinners.

I visited Chopstick city after a long time and I'm reviewing my latest visit. <br/><br/>Upon arriving I was immediately served Jasmine tea, which was warm, but not hot as one would expect. For starters I had the water chestnut, sauteed mushroom (Hongkong Style) and steamed vegetable dumplings. The taste was excellent, except the fried water chestnut, which did not taste fresh. I recommend the dumplings and the mushroom dishes. For the main course, I had the exotic vegetables with fried rice, wok tossed vegetable hakka noodles, and the vegetable chilli garlic noodles. All were good but I particularly enjoyed the chilli garlic noodles. The jasmine tea could definitely be warmer and green tea could be served instead of Jasmine at the end of the meal.<br/><br/>I usually come here as part of large groups, and I must say their service has improved since my last few visits. The staff was courteous and provided prompt service. We also did not have to wait much for food. <br/><br/>I recommend this restaurant for their service and quality.

Not sure why this is the highest rated restaurant in the city. Yes, the staff is positive, polite, and professional. However, the interiors are dated. The music is too loud (although not nearly as bad as the worst offenders in town). And the food, although not bad, is thoroughly forgettable. Chopstick City is a perfectly good restaurant, and you probably won't be disappointed if you go, but IMO there are other restaurants in Indore to better spend your money.

I visited this place few times back when Moon festival is organized there. It's a one of the oldest Chinese/Oriental food place at Indore.  Service as usual top-notch here, from booking manager to waiter all are polite and humble. We order Golden Fried Crispy Prawns, Chilly Chicken and Chicken Fried Rice here and all the preparations is excellent with good quantity and quality. Only thing is, if they facelift this place a bit more it would be more nicer to visit.

Guess what I had from Sayaji? Dumplings with human hair.<br/><br/>Amazing service after paying more than 300 rupees. Thanks for the complimentary hair in the food.

What a lovely place to be! They have the best Chinese cuisines available in Indore and one of the best services on offer. Excellent service by Janardan. Very good food. Nice ambience. Not very expensive. Tea & salad was also excellent. We requested less spicy food & they made it for us maitai ibg the taste.

Right on the entry desk, we were greeted with my name and seated till table ( as i mentioned the dineout reservation ) . All faces were smiling. The ambience was typically related to the cuisine they serve. Peaceful, romantic , water tunes, and monastry type live counter kitchen. We ordered a crackling spinach, corn cubes , spring rolls and a clat pot rice with machow soup . All vegetable. The taste was fantabulous. So yummy to digest every single spoon we had . The final bill was discounted at 50% and we were glad to pay more than it. Completely worth a visit. Thanks Sayaji & Chopstick Team for the wonderful lunch on my wife’s birthday.

My birthday lunch was fantastic. we ordered Lung Fung seafood soup, three flavor chicken and pan fried noodles. the service for our lunch was done by Mr. Manish. He was very nice, adding it to our wonderful experience. When I thanked him for a great birthday lunch, he wished me, brought me a complimentary birthday cake. It could not have been a better birthday. everything was perfect.

This restaurant provided the best service starting from seating us all the way to closing our bill. The food was amazing! Try the crispy chili corn! Janardan was very helpful! We will surely be coming back soon.

A great place for Chinese food, although it can be a little heavy on the pocket. Love the stir fried chili potatoes, chicken dimsuks, stuffed potatoes and pan fried noodles. Every dish is made to perfection. The ambience and the service are great too - but the place is usually not very full.

If you want to have authentic Chinese in Indore with a good ambience, this is the place you need to go. You can go here with your date or with your friends. You won't feel out of place. A decent place with courteous staff. 🙂

Real nice authentic oriental and Thai food. Love the unlimited jasmine tea they offer. Nicely go along with the spicy food. No reservations required most of the time. Value for money.

All three were 👌🏻👌🏻but soup was 😋😋..<br/>Hospitality of SAYAJI is the best and Chopstick City is maintaining that repo, Staff also in red and black 😉were doing a fine job in providing a good service..<br/>Only thing for which i'll not give 5 rating is that the service was little slow. Rest all the things were according to our expectations.<br/>At last I wanna thank Chopstick City's team for making our dinner a memorable one with rich dinning experience..<br/>Will visit this place again.

I love the look and feel of this place. One of the few places in the city where you can get real authentic Chinese. Their sea food is mouth wateringly delicious! I also love how they provide chamomile tea and kimchi before a meal. My go to place for authentic Chinese.

Loved the taste and ambience and everything about the restaurant. Really had fun there and got really good vibes. It’s really a good place for dinner/lunch with either your family or your friends.

Amazing variety of Chinese cuisine with brilliant service of Sayaji Indore,one of the best I had lately.Wide variety veg & non veg delicacies will blow your mind.<br/>Go for it....

A decent fine dining place with a lovely ambience in a grand 5 star. But the food however fell a bit short. Lung fung soup was bland. 5 spice chicken a bit too spicy and the cly pot rice was actually fried rice. Or more like it. Ice tea took ages to come. But not thay any of it was unedible. So go.there if lack of chooces for chinese .

● I had a really high expectations but When we got there we were told to wait for 20-30 mins, we did reserve the table and the place didn't seem to look full at all and yet we had to wait. <br/>I ordered :<br/>● fresh Crab meat, Squids and bamboo rice. They turned out to disappoint me. The crab didn't come in the way it should've. It was like a bowl or rice and crab soup without the crab. I couldn't get the taste of crab. It thought it'll come in full crab yet it turned out to be a 'crap'.<br/>● Squids had a good taste just that the presentation didn't impress me. I expected the squids to come in with the head and tentacles. But it was like I ate a pork skin(which is also nice)but didn't look like squid at all. It had a good taste though. I would like to try in a new style of squids. <br/>● bamboo rice was funny it was not bad. But the bamboo shoot had no flavour.<br/><br/>May be that's how some people would like it but I've tasted bamboo shoot my whole childhood but since living out of home and seeing that Indore had sea foods and bamboo shoot I expected it to be good like my hometown. <br/>I'm not sure if I'll visit this place again , was quite disappointed. <br/><br/>● I give 10/10 for the service. We were welcomed warmly and that made me rate this at least a 3.5 🖤

Your senses will be completely satiated on leaving Chopstick city.. the ambiance is good and the music soothing and set at the right volume..<br/><br/>Now coming to the main sense, of taste, you will not be disappointed.<br/>We had pan grilled tofu with black pepper and bokchoy was deliciously peppery and we enjoyed it. The veg gyoza with chilli coriander sauce was extremely tasty, but what I was missing here was the crispy side of the normally pan fried gyoza, which adds texture. The prawn steamed dimsums were amazing and large in size. Prawns were beautifully cooked. Chilly chicken with nuts was cooked perfectly. The chicken was really tender and juicy. The only nitpicking I could really do was that when they say nuts I was expecting some peanuts, which were not there. There were only cashew nuts.<br/><br/>For the main course we had thai red curry veg with steamed rice and some chilly garlic noodles. Preparation of our main course was really excellent. Absolutely no complaints.<br/><br/>For dessert we had darsan with vanilla icecream. It was crispy and sticky and a lovely end to an amazing dinner.<br/><br/>Must visit for Chinese cuisine lovers..

Been here only twice but had an amazing experience with authentic Chinese delicacies. Great place for fine dinning lovers with decent service and beautiful ambience..

i love the ambience in chopstick city sayaji, I would say this is the second best place in indore to try panasian food. food is great here but the best services sayaji is known for.<br/><br/>one of the most favorite places to go for a group hangout. prices are at par with other panasian restaurants<br/><br/> I rate 5 stars becuase I love it<br/><br/>

The staff is always welcoming and all your special requests are taken care of. We keep coming back for dimsum and pad thai. Lamb dishes are really good too!

First of all a great round of applause for the staff. As I was in Lower Tshirt and slippers and still the hospitality and the mannerism was on point. I say this because I have visited Reputed Hotel cafes for commercial purposes and meetings many times and I have realised that when you hold a name like Sayaji - Marriott - Taj you need to keep a ethics code on attire and all. But I felt really good they didn't judge the book by its cover.<br/>++------<br/>(It's for those who will be visiting first time - the complementary servings are Kimachi , Sweet cucumber , Jasmine Tea. And also if You don't know how to use chopsticks just ask them they will teach you. Experience Matters )<br/>...<br/>Ambience - Top class and completely in tune with the Chinese rhythm. Calm and peaceful.<br/>...<br/>Food - Note this down. I am telling the authenticity they give is mind boggling. Good food very relaxing ambience and the staff was very robotic service is not about only serving a guest it all about handing you customers wd creating personal connection which was missing they did all the work which is appreciated but it’s my over look for Service satisfaction that’s it other then food and staff are very good excellent taste
