Review Prithvilok Restaurant - Indore

Sudhir Raut
Authentic Dal-Bati. One of my best experiences. I visited the place in August 2023. The restaurant is upstairs and a lift is available. The people there are very polite and generous. Actually it was a Saturday when we got there and it was told that Dal Bati is available on Sundays only. But luck was on my side and they had an order of dal bati for some birthday celebration. On our request they served us and yummy 🤤 what a authentic taste we got, really memorable 😺 The restaurant is situated in a market area and the road is quite congested you have to take a walk by parking your vehicle somewhere as there is no parking available. But it will not be a problem if you want to enjoy the taste.

Visited this place after many recommendations. Had Dal bafla thali, but more than Dal bafla, I liked the aaloo sabzi and kadhi. The sweet quality was average. In short good taste, poor service, and an average atmosphere. Missed to mention the generosity in ghee by staff, one meal exhausted my monthly Ghee quota.

Good place for simple food. Jain food is served here. Neat and clean place. Located right in the Bazaar. Food is good. Service is quick. There is a restroom too. Parking may not be available.

Excellence Food and good services. Prithvilok in my favourite Hotal .

Excellent service and food quality. The normal thali on weekdays is for 140 unlimited and on Sunday they do a special thali with the signature Indore dish of Dal Bafla(bati). They have a lift as well..in case you are with someone having difficulty climbing up.

Quality of food was really good. Many options for Jain food (No onion and no garlic). One of the best places that offers simple and pure home style food. Condition of washrooms could be improved though.

I absolutely love this place for my breakfast anyday, the only thing that restricts me is that they only serve Dal Bafle on Sunday mornings till noon. There are more branches in indore but I would recommend the one near Rajwada Their Dal Bafle's taste is quite nice in comparison and churme ke laddu was the best. Curry was also perfect and I would say it's worth a try.

We stay there.. It is nearby to sarafa market. Hence u can take late night visits to famous sarafa in indore.. Place is in center market therefore many things are missing.. Rest it is best to stay for shopping

Best place for simple home cooked style food. If you go for an early dinner parking will be an issue for car but no problem if you go by scooter or bike.

Dal bafla thaali what you guys use to serve is not the same, I believe I am one of your oldest customers as me n my dad use to visit your cloth market outlet almost 2 Sundays in a month to have dal bafla thaali and it was amazing, so delicious that sometimes we use to bite our fingers while having it but now the taste is changed, potato prep was not cooked well, no salad, papad, chutneys were there in my order and jaljira was biserk.... Word of advice better do something about it coz you have got some crazy competitors around you...

Prithvilok restaurant is a truly one-of-its-kind place. I have been enjoying its Thali for so many years, and it's worth your money. The order, of DAAL-BAFLE that prompted me to write this review genuinely pleased our palate and made our Sunday.. They know their stuff. And I'll like to go for their tasty, filling meals again n again. Lots of best wishes.!

They serve the best dal bafle in the town. You have to wait for your turn on Sunday's but its worth the time. Unlimited dal bafle at Rs 200. I will visit again. Happy foody ! ☺

I wanted to try the dal bafda, but due to unavailability I tried the plain thali. The rotis were soft and crisp, and the curries were perfectly spiced. The cost of one thali was ₹140, and finding parking spot here is very difficult.

Hello friends,

Visited the prithvilok in rajwada, afterall its in the hearts of rajwada, easy to find the place but hard to find the parking.

Well it is inside a building on 3rd floor its a small resturant with basic ambiance gives a look of tranditional bhojanalaya with metal table and chair.

Well its a thali system and like every other thali system it serves dal bafle on sunday,
The dal bafle are taste and people who like like non spicy food will love there bafle.

Service is fast, Good for dine-in and take away.

Overall recommended.

Who ever is reading this...points to remeber when going to thali kind of unlimted place.(never go late...post 9 pm and on weekends when crowded).

1. Dont sit at any corner table (u wont get all variery of food and starter) they serve from table near to kitcher door and stuff exhaust the time it reaches corner table.

2. Wait for starters (dont take rotis at start) when i went i even didnt know how many type of starters they serve as nothing came to us and we started eating rotis.

3. After we are done we got salad and starter alu bada small one.

4. After i complted my dinner then i got another starter crispy alu.

5. They forget to serve chaas.

6.they were out of soup.

Taste wise...what ever they served was good in taste
..mildly spicy....less oily... no kadhi served... gulab jamun that too rawa mixed.

I would suggest go to govardhan thal...or panchvati gaurav.

Coincidentally I had lunch twice at Prithvilok on a Sunday and a Tuesday, food is delicious and very much home-like. Sunday special Dal-Bafla Thali is one of the best in Indore and I would recommend to have it at Prithvilok itself. Their staff is very friendly and would not relax serving until your stomach is full to burst. Ambience and seating is decent.
Shreshtha Bhutra
A very decent place. Ghar jaisa Khana... These are the words which tells u everything abt the food..
It's purely Jain veg...n yet taste ..the only issue is oil.. for me oil is little more..
A complete thali with dessert salad etc... At pocket friendly!
Satish
100% Desi indian taste. Pure Desi Ghee made food Sunday special Daal Bafale can not compare with any other restaurant of Indore.
It is more worthy if you take parcel bcz parcel quality is sufficient for 2 people.
Abhishek Rai
Famous Malwi cuisine Daal-Bafla-Laddu is served here every Sunday. If you want to eat simple home-like Thali, this is the best place on weekdays and weekends except on Sunday. Taste is authentic & superb!!

A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!
Have heard a lot about their Daal- Bati parcel, ordered it on Sunday, the parcel arrived after almost 1 n half hour after calling 4 times.
The whole food were served in polythene bags and not disposable boxes.
U cud easily see daal and its water was separated and was awful to taste..
The whole food taste was worst ever ... Total money and time waste.
Quantity of the food was quite good, but except for laddo and Kairi panna, not even a single thing was upto the mark.
Sorry to say A Big NO forever..

Best place to have tasty and economical jain thaali near Rajwada. They maintain a good variety in the veggies and offer fast service. It has been recently renovated and is a great place for foodies if you are okay with a place which is hard to find (near SBI atm in cloth market) and where car parking is an issue. They serve thaalis on weekdays and daal-baati on sundays.
Shubham Lakhotiya
Prithvilok I should say it's a bhagat tarachan of indore or can be compare with the grand thakar of rajkot.
Servicing grand thali at @180/_ (consists of 2deserts,3vegetable,2namkeen, roti nd dal rice)
Best in town till date in terms of thali.
Ar Shivam Kashyap
It's assuredly only a thaali place, very affordable, stuffed into a corner on the 2nd floor of a dinghy lodge. But, astounding pabulum, family amicable with half decent loos.
Archit Baser
Well this place gives "Rajhans" a run for their money when it comes to Dal Bafla... Totally mouth watering...
Service is also good and hygiene is also taken care of....
Recommended.. :-)

Awesome Indian food. Delight to all the people. Also Sunday serves us a great deal of special dishes. Great service and awesome food. Great place to go with family. Also reasonable. Over eating becomes natural here as the food is served hot time to time.
Also a proper meal is consumed which is nutritious and the preparation is healthy as well.
Great place!!!!!
:-)
Akash Mishra
Delicious Dal-bati platter. Feels like home, care like home , service not like home better than home. :-) only one demerit too far from the city.

I am a regular visitor for the past one year especially for those Sunday Dal Baafla lunch and I would say prithvilok has never disappointed me with its service and food. Prithvilok does complete justice to its fame and glory by offering lip smacking dal baaflas and their special thalis are best in Indore. The ambience and location is not a fancy one its located in the main city area and the interiors are quite okay. On peak time you might have to wait for table but its worth it. The rates are fixed for its Dal Baafla and Thali but the taste completely compliments its price tag and food is unlimited😂😂😂😈. A Must Visit place to taste the famous Dal Baaflas of Indore with your family & friends ☺☺☺

I didnt had their Daal baafle so dont knw much abt it like other reviewers...but I had their weekdays Thali many times and I truly loved it...
They serve you 3 types of vegetables(sometimes panir also) , dal , chawal , Papad and salad @ just 120 rs only...the taste of the food is good too specially without garlic and onions...
Service is good too...I Dnt knw wat went wrong with others but everytime I visit this place I get some good service...only thing is you ll definitely fall asleep after ur meal...:-)
Prateek Juneja
Totally jain food served w/o onion garlic.
For those who crave for not so fancy food must come here.
I went with my vegetarian frnds, and surprisingly i loved the food even when it was without onion n garlic.
Must visit.
Highly recommended for wanderers.
