Review Spice Court Restaurant - Jaipur

Navneet painuly
So during my stay in Jaipur I was exploring restaurants and I was recommended by a local friend to check this place , So I went there with my family and we had a terrific experience. The place had a great vibe and I loved the antique walls, doors.Rajasthani's cousins were amazing and are their specialities, must try kinda place if you are around.

Found this one place by chance. Saw some good reviews and went for it. Boy. I was so happy came over here. Laal maas and Kheema batti are amazing. Not to be missed. Our son tried the butter chicken and that too was superb. Ended with Kulfi and Gulab jamun. Lovely. Surely and highly recommended.

We had a drink in the beautiful garden then ate inside. We had paneer tiki masala, chicken dish Kadai Murg, roti bread, vegetable rice. Everything was really tasty. The service was impeccable. We loved our experience.

Fabulous place - my girlfriend was a little worried about the name and it being insanly spicy but everything we tried was just perfect. Butter chicken, Lal maas, papad mangodi rice and bread - would order it all again

Oh my my ,I believe the most Authentic Rajasthani Food in the world, The taste, staff, ambience, food,is out of the world. This place should register itself for Mitchelin stars from jaipur, Food is extra ordinary, Anyone ever thinking about Jaipur ,This should be your spot no 1

A hidden gem that offers an unparalleled dining experience. With its inviting ambiance, exquisite flavors, and reasonable prices, it's a true standout in the culinary scene. Whether you're a food enthusiast or simply looking to indulge in a remarkable meal, this restaurant is a must-visit destination.

There is live folk dance and music show. Place is really beautiful. We loved soup and starters. Main course and dessert could have been better. Please expect 25 mins wait time when you visit here in peak hours.

Was looking for Laal Maas as no visit to Rajasthan is quite complete without tasting it for hard core Non Vegetarians. Our hotel recommended this place. Wasn't prepared for the ambiance which is straight out of an Army Polo club, with pictures of riders and horses and actual Polo Mallets hanging on the walls. Given Rajasthan's association with horses and Polo going back ages, the decor was aptly reflective of the rich history of the region. The staff are prompt, friendly and the service super fast. The food is very authentic. Tried the Laal Maas with Dal Tadka and Tandoori Roti. Yummy Lassi to wash it all down. Everything was absolutely spot on and delicious. The final bill was quite wallet friendly too. I'm definitely going back. There is a top end pastry shop connected to the restaurant. If you have a sweet tooth, it's a must visit too !!!

One of the very best mutton dishes that one can ever try. Best laal Maas, keema baati, and must try out Raj Sula.
Avneet kaur
Loved every bit of the mutton Raj Sula and keema bati. A must try place. Have never tried anything like this before
elizabeth thomas
The place was beautifully done with a good ambience. Whoever would like to try a good mutton curry should go here. Also the bakery is very nice. The service was very good. Had ordered laal Maas and keema bhati for two of us. It was good and sufficient for two people.

This will be very chic restaurant for having a good food and spend time. They have all both the options of indoor and outdoor seating. The interior are basic but classy. A must try place for your visits pertaining to feed the hunger prangs. An easy parking spot though it's outside but it has ample space. You can ask for a normal RO water which will be served cold if asked.

Spice court restaurant part of hari Mahal palace ....excellent place for Non veg lovers highly recommended is keema baati and laal maans. Both are quite heavy dishes pls take guidance of waiters how much to order to reduce wastage Prices are little on higher side but food quality is worth it .. Outside parking you have to manage They have one very good cake shop must try that as well Enjoy your visit

Came two nights in a row, firstly having keema batti, then the butter chicken. Both were truly delicious dishes, full of spice and flavour. What was even better was that one of the servers/managers recognised me on my second visit - top class customer service!! Came on a recommendation, and would highly recommend to others looking for a classy dinner in Jaipur!!

Great food and service with folk dance during dinner.

Very comfortable place to be with friends or family Devor us amazing with lots of old jaipur royalty pics on walls as well as other decoration items Staff is very polite and courteous Food quality and quantity is awesome They have just super delicious non veg preparations not to miss lal Maas and keema baati Tables are placed a bit far so one can enjoy ones privacy and not feel cluttered like a typical restaurant they even serve out in open where they have greens and one can enjoy candle light under moon light meals I will say Spice Court you Rock. Ps. Even they are very reasonable in their rates compared to the quality and taste of food they serve Yes service is a bit slow some times specially when you order second round of rotis etc . Better to order in time

Authentic Laal maas to drool for, very delectable and made traditionally, so tender and juicy that the meat falls off the bone like butter, very amicable team who loves to serve with love. So the best place to have Laal maas and jungle Maas in Jaipur. Would highly recommend it
Saumyasaraf17
This place is famous for laaal maaas, and we totally hated it. HATE. It was sick. Watery and the meat sucked. The paneer makhani was even worse. Won’t recommend this place.
Umang Saraf
Food is absolute crap. Laal Maas seemed frozen and was cooked ages ago. Would recommend if you’re looking to eat shitty food.
Amit Kumar
On a friend's suggestion i ordered my meal for the first time from this place ,ordred butter chicken to my surprise i think a hawker from which i had butter chicken serves far more better dish then this and that too 1/4th for the price, really overated on zomato dont fall for the trap. Whether this is a lock down effect or this is the way they are seriously Rs700 for half butter chicken totally waste.
Ashish Pareek
Place is clean and quiet. Has a classy look to it with wooden floor and black and fight photos of maharani Gyatri Devi & some other polo players. Staff was very courteous and attentive.

From food perspective also spice court didn't fail in any way. Though a little room of improvement is there but nonetheless place is a must try and gives a good peaceful dine-in experience.

Ordered keema baati and chilly chicken..keema baati is very good.. mutton was juicy and well cooked..chilly chicken was boneless and tasty.

Brave the waiting lines at this busy, but an extremely interesting eatery. Set in Achrol House is an old world appeal set up, with an enormous compound. The eatery is very enormous and can situate many individuals, yet be set up for long holding up lines. The administration is old world – somewhat terse however on point. The menu offers North Indian and Chinese, yet what you should focus in on is the Rajasthani segment of the menu. It was the 'Keema Baati' that I was anticipating and was advised harshly to attempt it. The meat was delicate, the gravy under a layer of oil, yet the dish was so totally worth the guilty pleasure.

Other must haves: Lal Maas, Kulfi, Kebabs

Instagram: the.amateurfoodie

I have been a regular at this restaurant since last 5 years and this is the first time I felt disappointed by their service. I don’t know in which universe you serve such spicy food. Inspite of telling you guys that please don’t make it spicy, you surprised me with your stupidity. I can’t even give this food to anyone as this might make them really sick.

I had been to this place last year in December as i was visiting Jaipur for a few days. I had heard a lot about this place from friends who had been there. Their Laas Maas is very famous, so we ordered that of course. It was spicy but so so tasty, absolutely worth it. We also had their Murg Malai Kebab and Reshmi Kebab. I personally liked the Malai Kebab more because the chicken pieces were so tender and the blend of spices were just perfect.
We also ordered their Dal Fry which according to me, was too spicy so it spoilt the taste of the dal. If you don't eat spicy food, i suggest that you don't order this!
Overall, their ambiance was average, nothing great, service was a little slow. The outdoor seating was great though!
Krupa Shinkre
The Laal Maas here is amazing! I loved the location, decor & ambience of this place. It truly gives you the feel of a bygone era. Huge photographs of polo players adorn the walls. The staff is well behaved & service is good.
What I did not like : well, most of the other dishes we ordered were strictly average! Only the Laal Maas stood out with its exceptional taste & style of cooking! They make their Laal Maas with Goat mutton which is another plus point !
Prerna Khemka
The ambience is really beautiful. A place good for brunch as well as dinner. The dinner arrangement was very beautiful. A classy ambience with folk dance show at night. A perfect place for family and dinner date. The service is very good.

Heard a lot about spice court’s laal maas and thus, decided to try and yes it was exceptionally good. My friends loved it soo much that they got another portion packed but the vegetarian food needs a lot of improvement. We ordered a cottage cheese preparation which was too rich and heavy but lacked flavours. The portions are pretty good but definitely needs to work on their recipes. The servers were too busy in theirselves . Nobody welcomed & seated us and nobody ever came to our table until we raised our hands. Later when we requested our server to get our food reheated, he denied right on our face which was very disappointing.

A Gem in Jaipur...must visit for a foodie... loved the Laal Mans and butter chicken...a memorable meal indeed... will most most definitely go back to explore their keema baati and junglee mans...great service too
Sukanya Rudra Nandi
Overpriced. Safeed maas was tasteless n cooked without any salt. Lal Maas was no speciality either. It was an old joint in Jaipur we used to visit every time we drive down to the city. However seems lacks the charm now. Only bright spot is the well mannered Manager - PPC due to which people still visits the outlet. Waiters are greedy for tips n stands behind your neck.

Great place for a cosy lunch in the winter sun. Great open seating. Lovely ambience. Great food. Chicken dishes and black lentils are a good try. Highly recommended in winters!

One of best food joint in town, the staff is really courteous.. especially Mr Partho, GM is a gem of a person.... Must visit for a sumptuous meal ....

Never got a chance to even order or even enter the restaurant because of 45 minutes waiting, despite half of the restaurant was empty...??!!??..what's more, the person receiving you will make you sit outside with assurance to call you, without even noting down your name? Bizarre...

Must be a way to prefer foreign tourists as back door entry and leaving indians waiting outside. Anyhow, let them serve whatever makes the owner happy...
Madhur Vyas
This was one of the best authentic Rajasthani food I have eaten, ever!! Such a brilliant experience. A must visit for all tourists who love spice in their lives.

I heard Spice Court was a staple in Jaipur, so was curious check it out the first night I arrived in the city.

I liked the outdoor seating area of the restaurant, was a nice pleasant evening so we decided to sit outside. The restaurant seemed to be packed with foreigners and tourists.
We ordered the Raj Sula (grilled lamb) and the Murg malai tikka. Both were marinated well, grilled to perfection. We were quite satisfied by the end of our meal.

nice place and ambiance service and food quality average and good staff
Aishwarya Warrier
The vegetarian here wasn't too great though the not veg was amazing. Cream of mushroom soup was very sweet and I didn't like it at all. Bhuna gosht is amazing and must try.
Saswati
The best place to eat in jaipur.... I loved the food and the ambiance...... am still licking my fingers.... Junglee stole my heart....u will love it only if ur like spicy food!
Sohil Bhansali
One of the worst services and staff one can come across. Their attitude towards Indians is just not acceptable. The reshami kabab was bland and chewy. I won't ever recommend this place to any guest or friends.
One has to normally wait for 40-45 mins for a simple order. Pathetic, absolutely pathetic experience that also 2nd time around
Khushboo Y
It is located in Alcohol House, Jacob Road, Civil Lines, Jaipur. They serve North Indian, Chinese, Continental and Rajashthani food. The average cost for two people here is INR 1,400. They are open from 11 am-11 pm.

Food: Their cucumber yoghurt soup is definitely worth trying. Their dal makhani is tempting and will make you lick your fingers. Their butter chicken is extremely incredible as well. Their Laal Maas is extremely spicy and tasty and something that you should order only if you have a high spice tolerance because it is difficult to eat it otherwise. Their malai kofta will make you relish each and every bite of it. Their gatta curry is so palatable. Their bhuna ghost is mind-blowing. Their chicken tikka masala is sure to sweep you off your tongue.

Ambiance and Amenities: This place has a decent ambiance that you will like. They have a wheelchair that is accessible here.

An Indian restaurant which i would say is too hyped. Had heard a lot about it maybe that's why it was not up to our expectations...Good hospitality and super courteous staff.. Food was a little oily.
Dal makhani- 7/10Paneer Butter Masala- 8/10Sizzler- 7.5/10Lal Maas- 8/10
All the bread were good
Shefali
Even the most famous keema baati ?? Yes that was disgusting. I would rate zero. Pathetic experience..
Suryanshu Bedi
Definitely a place to go if your are visiting Jaipur. One of the best Non Veg food I had in Jaipur. Ambience is simple and calm. We had to wait for the dishes though but it was worth that.
NNK
Visited this place during lunch hours looking at the menu ordered for their beers and mutton roganjosh with butter Naan it was delicious and I absolutely loved it.

Wanted to give zero star but 1 is the lowest rating here.Went there on a Saturday night and service was pathetic, we got served with the first dish after an hour of ordering it!! On complaining the manager about it- managers response was that “so what’s the hurry! Where do u want to go after this?!” I was stunned at this response as I expected Spice court to be a place with good hospitality since a lot of tourists visit there. Not only this but the dishes also smelled of egg, like they weren’t washed properly. The food was average, not worth the wait at all.
Never visiting this place again-because of poor service and hygiene. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 If the owner is reading this, kindly get rid of such staff specially the manager.

What a place! We went for a Saturday night dinner and were very impressed. I would have given this a 5, but there is only one thing that ticked me off a little.
Yays:
1. Amazing amazing food! We had the keema baati. Even at 800 a plate its worth a try. Truly heavy and yummy.
2. The Papad Bhujeeya Gravy was delicious.
3. The ambiance is so beautiful. There is ample place inside to sit and the restaurant has a lovely courtyard.
Nays:
1. The service wasn’t quick enough.
2. Our server got us the bill and specifically told us that service charge wasn’t added, it was as if he was expecting us to tip. (which we would have anyway, as I always check my bills, however I hate the hard selling)

The food is great, so if in Jaipur do visit. Also do a table booking before you go!

Never visit the place for food......
Jatinder
A refreshing place with a kind of old world club like charm. The waiters are there from eternity and it seems they are an extension of the place. Ahh the famed Laal Maas - my kids and wife loved it. We also ordered chicken chowmein which was good. Daal makhni could have been better but the Pudina parantha and onion garlic naan were good. A Must visit place when you come to Jaipur for a holiday.
Roumit Ghosh
Please visit if you really like spicy and rich food..taste is pretty average..also service is average.ambience average..The food is very oily ..You can see oil floating at the top
Lancelot Pinto
We had a dinner here on our recent trip to Jaipur. They have a manager (I think his name is Parth), who kept insisting that (a) we google him online, and (b)how his advice should be followed because he would advise us on what we should and should not eat (his advice was to discourage us from ordering multiple dishes as we would waste food, among other uninvited bits of advice). The food was average, the junglee maas is definitely not for the weak of heart (we have a reasonably high spice tolerance, but could not eat more than 2 bites). The mince stuffed baati was strictly ok, and our favorite dish ended up being the gatte ki sabzi. We will not be visiting this restaurant again.
Nehal Agarwal
An exotic restaurant giving us a complete royal feel.. totally stands up to its brand name..amazing hospitality and super courteous staff.. amazing place to go out for dining...
I had-
Dal makhni- 9/10
Alloo pyaz- 8/10
Potato bouncer-7/10
All the breads were also very fresh😀
( highly recommend)

I had the best Lal Maas here with rumali roti , great combo.
This place has a big garden area outside with live music ; folk music basically.
Amazing 👌

Spice Court is a name synonymous with great Indian food. The ambience is not that fascinating but the food here is sure to win your heart.

Known for serving authentic Rajasthani food, those who are fond of spicy food must try the 'Junglee Maas', it is basically a tribal dish from the aravalis and it is super spicy. The gravy is made of raw red chillis and tomatoes and you will experience the real heat after eating it.

Next is the 'Keema Bhati' here is another dish worth trying. You must have heard about daal bati churma the authentic rajasthani dish, so they have taken bati from there and filled it with keema and along with that they serve gravy. I can assure you this would be the best thing you will eat that day.

A must visit place if you are in jaipur.
I have been here a couple of times and this place has never Disappointed me.

Waited almost for 45 mins as it was Saturday. Tried there Chilly chicken vich was lovely but after that the main course was below average.... the butter chicken was so sweet n on the other hand Lal Maans vich is one of there speciality was worse can say... the food was a big disappointment for me in my holiday... will nt give another try to this place ....👎🏻

Lovely Ambience..amazing food.. superb hospitality..special mention about Mr.Parth who’s personal touch with customers is commendable..the icing on the cake is the adjacent pastiere..must visit for people with sweet tooth

It’s always an experience dining at spice court. The best junglee maas or actually the only junglee maas I have had. They also have the best kal maas in the country. The place has a colonial feel and the service and the Rajasthani food selection is awesome.

Ambience : 4

This place has Rajasthani folk dances for live audience, open barbecue, and both inside -outside sitting. Mostly visited by foreigners and families for the Amazon food they serve.

Service : 4

Food :

They serve the best Leena baati in town.
The batti is filled with mutton keema and served with red greavy. The combination is just amazing and not to be missed.
Rest entire menu is good and you can try any veg or non veg dishes.

A must visit place

What a place to be at! Everything on spot. Crazy good food, top class service, great ambience and so much peace.... You wouldn't want to come back.

I tried their ever so famous laal Maas with butter naan and boy! I was transported to some other world in the first bite itself! The meat so tender that I'd fall off and yet cooked to so much perfection that it held the bones!! The gravy and it's consistency was perfect.

If not the price, I'd eat it every freaking day. A must go to place if you're in jaipur. Just that it's a tad bit expensive

Good option for your family outings. Visited this place only for the so well known KEEMA BAATI being served here. Guys, its wowww !! Though it looks small , but once you begin you will come to know - "arey kitni heavy h ye , kaise khtm hogi ?".. worth a try!
Divyangana S Rathore
Te non vegetarian food out here is spectacular! Live local performance and in this chilled weather they have live kebab \ tandoor corner . My recommendation would be keema baati (way to spice 🌶🌶🌶)
, laal mans, kebabs are too good 👍 #

I had one of the worst Laal Mass of my life today , it was so badly made which i had never expected from a restaurant so famous for Traditional Rajasthani Food, i had even ordered this on earlier occasion but it used to be good, however today is was pathetic. No taste , meat was not cooked properly, gravy was bad.
Other items ordered for delivery - Chicken Lolipop, Vegetable Platter & Malai Kofta were fine however Laal Maas completely ruined the entire food experience.
Aditti Ahluwalia
I was there on the 2nd of April with a friend. From the moment that we stepped in, we were “greeted” with an unwelcoming attitude, as if it was a burden to be having someone in. Pretty much this was the attitude of their non smiling traditional folk dance and music performers, who seemed to be not involved or enthusiastic about their performances. Since the place serves Beer and wine only, we chose to order a Beer with a Mutton starter Raj Sula. Much that we wished to order a Junglee Maas, since that was highly recommended by our foodie friends, the two different servers completely dissuaded us saying that it’s “ super spicy” and that we should NOT go for it. That’s rather odd because seldom do you come across anything like this where the staff is telling you NOT to order something from their menu. Please note that no where did we express that we don’t want spicy. While we were having our starter with our drink, we stepped aside in another designated corner for a smoke. We requested that our table for two be shifted closer to that corner which they did. However, what they also did was remove our remaining Beer and the sprite can. We had to remind them several times to give our half remaining bottle and can “back” to us. Not only this, when we were presented with the bill, we noticed that we were charged with two beer instead of one. On questioning, and pointing this out, the man in charge was unabashedly unapologetic and instead tried his best to justify this. Once he realized that they were in the wrong, instead of redoing the bill he came back with a 500/- back, saying they have “adjusted”. We requested them to render our previous bill void and get us a fresh one with the right amount/quantities and that seemed to be a problem with them. The place is a complete disappointment when it comes to service. The only starter RAJ SULA that we had was average in taste but the portion size was good. The place is quite charming and it would be helpful if the body language of the ones managing the place matched the charm of the place.

Great food. Ordered Keema bati and Laal maas, both are extremely delicious. Staff is polite and nice. Will definitely visit again. Excellent Taste

Bad poor service. Too over hyped. Lal Maas was not Lal Maas but a tornado of only red chilli. Had to leave all food. It was not edible at all due to insane chilly. Forgot half of the half that we placed
I will never recommend this place to anyone I love. Pathetic food and service. The breads were burnt and half eaten. The cutlery was dirty and old. What a waste of money and time.
Worst bday dinner!
Yesterday night I went for dinner in spice court with my hubby...on reading reviews we tried keema batti which was very costly 770 for two batti and after tax it became 808.50..It was tasteless we were not able to finish one batti also...It was waste of money..The price of dishes are too high...Will not recommend this restaurant..Rating it 1 only for ambience...

One of my favourite places in Jaipur. Totally love their Raj Sula and Laal Maas. If you're a little adventurous, do try their Junglee Maas - sets your mouth on 🔥. Great ambience.

If you are looking for Super tasty Laal maas and Mutton dishes ,this is the place .
Situated in Civil lines area close to Chief Ministers residence this is the place for authentic Rajasthan dishes .
In the evening you can enjoy katputli dance and outside sitting .
Must visit for meat lovers

Got to know about this place from a friend. Spacious and very minimal.
I had heard a lot about the Laal maas and keema bati here. And honestly I wasn’t disappointed at all!
The keema bati was out of the world!
A must try

Classy ambiance, Heavenly taste!

I Usually don’t write restaurant reviews but I just couldn’t resist myself writing for this restaurant.
Classy and elegant place, good ambiance, good staff but that is all meaningless if the food is not good and believe me it’s just incredibly delicious.
I don’t know if it’s the best restaurant in Jaipur because I haven’t been to every non veg restaurant in the city but I am gonna go only to this restaurant every time I am visiting the pink city.

Went to Jaipur on vacation with friends and stumbled upon this amazing dining place. The ambience of the restaurant is so good I can't tell. It has an open air space with greenery and awesome decorations of flowers. Inside the restaurant there are beautiful pictures on the from indian history. It's decoration is very artistic. The restaurant is well lit with nice music. The staff is very friendly and courteous and the service is also very quick.
We were 3 people and we ordered Vegetable Minestrone soup to start. Then in the starters we ordered Kundan Tara and Raj sula. In the main course we ordered Papad bhujeeya curry, palak korma and Laal Maas with butter Naan. I must say all the dishes were lip smacking. I think we had ordered too much food for 3 people as the serving quantity was also big but we end up finishing everything just because the food was super delicious. We had an excellent experience.

We were in Jaipur for a night and wanted to have good Laal Maas and Spice Court was highly recommended by a friend.
We ordered the Raj Sula and Laal Maas, the flavours were simply brilliant. Wish we could try some more options in the menu.
Until next time.

The best place to have authentic Rajasthani food. We ordered the jungle mass. They did warn us that it would be spicy. We loved every last morsel. The way the table is set up is also fascinating. They have all the dried spiced in small boxes with a glass top.
Siddharth Pandit
I cannot stop praising about the food here. Spice court has their famous the legendary Laal Maas. Unbelievable. Must must have.
Also try the gatte ki sabzi. Paneer lababdaar.
Love the polo styled ambience. Specially the dry spice filled table tops.
Must try Jungleee Maas for the adventurous eater and spice lover.
Foodisbae
Been here multiple times since ages.. no doubt their food is good and sitting is also decent but I don’t like the staff and the way they behave with Indians whenever they are catering to foreigners.. just go here for food not for the service!
Vivek
This place had been on my bucetklist for the longest time. The ambience is nice, the staff is courteous and the decor is good. But I'm not going to rate any of these factors on a scale of 5 like I otherwise do because I had only 1 thing in mind while visiting this place.

I came here is for something specific, Laal Mass! The tastiest and spiciest mutton dish I have had to date. I wanted to have Jungle Mass(spicier version of Laal Mass) but was advised against it by a friend from Jaipur since I had to catch a flight the same day and he reckoned that it was not a good idea. The 5 star rating is just for the experience of having Laal Mass.
Subhasree Ray
I will provide 10/10 to this restaurant for its interior, unique decor, menu, portion size, behaviour of the staffs, space and area. We had some best grilled fish, cesan chicken salad, vegetable au gratin here during our business trip to Jaipur. Memorable and highly recommended.

Whenever in town I make it a point to visit this place every time for the ambience , interiors , comfortable seating indoors and outdoors, for the cultural activities which happens once in a while at the restaurant and makes your experience more fun and lively .
The food 🥘 is well prepared and delicious .
The service is good .
Ambience is good.
Quality is good.
Good crowd .
Drinks 🍸 , food 🥘 and sweets 🧁, all under one roof .
For a nice evening one can walk in and enjoy your time .

The non-vegetarian 🐔 food out here is spectacular! Live local performance and in this chilled weather they have live kebab/tandoor corner! My recommendation would be Keema baati (way too spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🥴🥴), Laal maans, Junglee maans ...kebabs 🍗 are good too!

We ate keema Bati and Bhuna chicken. The keema bati was pretty good. But the bhuna chicken was extremely spicy and tasteless. It destroyed our entire meal, my mother had to ask the staff for some sugar.
The staff is neither welcoming nor helpful but the manager was very courteous.

Went to spice court on advice of a few friends.....but was disappointed......the staff was sloppy....service was very slow....food was just about ok.....ordered the ever famous Laal Maas....but it was just average.....the butter chicken and Laal maas gravy tasted the same.
The service staff was really sloppy.....finger bowls were cold.....on the whole not very happy

The most sought after and legendary restaurant in Jaipur for the Laal Maas it serves. We just went around and asked a few locals in the city to Recommend us the best place for Laal Maas and everyone just had Spice Court on their lips!

My friends regularly visit Jaipur for business and not even once they have returned without dining at this restaurant in Civil Lines so this time I tagged along and being a hardcore foodie, the goal was to try the best Jaipur had to offer.

Ambience - 5/5

This is the kind of restaurant I love visiting. The one which has lavish interiors and opens up to a huge garden. There was some folk dance being done by some local entertainers, which is the true spirit of Rajasthani hospitality. I loved the overall ambience. Minimalistic and yet so captivating.

Food - 5/5

Started our dinner with Tomato Shorba and ordered
the Laal Maas and Dal Makhani alongwith Indian breads for main course.

Highly Recommended. Perfect flavour and spices.

Service - 5/5

The stewards at Spice Court are very well trained and display high degree of professionalism. Spice court gives you one of the most wonderful experience of fine dining in Jaipur, The place often has live folk music and dance performances that make your evening magical; Safed Maas and Keema Baati are the all time favorite dishes which will leave you spellbound and make you crave for more.

The Spice Court, located in Civil Lines, Jaipur is a popular stop for non-vegetarians, and is set in a lovely courtyard. It offers some of the most spicy Rajasthani non-vegetarian dishes, bursting with flavours.

What a fantastic experience here we had with the food. When the temperature was dropping below 8°C outside these guys served fantastic two baatis with mutton and peas stuffed inside it.

Along with the Keema Baati we had Laal Maans(must must have) with whole spices. The spices will burst in your mouth when you take a spoonful of it. Kudos to the chef on that fantastic piece of work.

The malai kebab was great too from the ongoing kebab festival, but you can avoid it.

And thank you Satyendra for that lovely on time service.

Must visit at least once when you are in Jaipur.

In my 4 day stay in Jaipur, this is one of the many places I visited more than once. Irresistible place. Spice Court wins your heart with 3 main pillars of Hospitality - great tasting food, beautiful ambiance, humble and agile staff.
Lal Maans goes best with Tandoori Roti. Thats when you get to taste the real culinary lamb cooking balanced with spicy (its medium spicy). The staff is agile and hospitable. I had only ordered 2 roti but and seeing me eat, the steward got me 2 more roti and said - please eat to your heart full.

Loved how clean and bright this place is. Right from the welcome till my exit, I felt great here. Next time I will try something new and diff than Lal Maans.

Spice court is a must visit when in Jaipur- I loved everything about the place. Its spacious regal ambience to its charming interiors and super hospitality are reflective of Jaipur culture. The best thing is undoubtedly the food. Absolutely lip smacking Rajasthani food! The papas bhujia curry (veg) is our of this world! The legendary Lal maans is also amazing-spicy but not overwhelming! A must must visit!

revising the review ... ordered take out food was bad ....The place has no ambience inside, its just a hall with table and chairs.. seems adhoc. Outdoors is wrought iron garden chairs , when we went it was slightly cold, so they offered my son a table cloth ..they could do with some gas heaters . The dance performance was a little sleazy, not a big fan . Serving staff seems to be ancient, the manager was friendly, coming to the food it was the saving grace but exorbitantly priced , it can give a run to any 5 star hotel in terms of price, portions were ok not too big neither less but taste was decent. Menu is very confusing and stuck in a time warp. There was a cake shop in the same compound which was more tempting but next time ...
All in all not worth it.

Amazing place for Lal Maas and Keema Bati with gravy. We went on a Saturday and it was really busy and the service was a bit slow but it’s worth the wait. Even the vegetarian options are good.
Must try when you go to Jaipur

Had a good time eating here with my family. We had Butter chicken, mutton biriani and chicken sweetcorn soup. The Butter Chicken was excellent, sweet corn soup delicious, biriani was good. We wanted to sit inside but outside was more appealing .The live music and the dance performances were good. They serve wine and beer as well. Would revisit .

I am a traveller and I like to pick up best preparations from city. I had been Jaipur for my business travel and was searching for some real good Lal Maas preparation and came across Spice Court while surfing through Zomato. This is a vintage restaurant with a beautiful courtyard. there are barbeques set up in open courtyard. Also there are traditional performances like Rajasthan dance to entertain the tourists. You will mainly find foreigners here cherishing the taste of non vegetarian Rajasthan .

I had lal Maas with rice and roti and it was just fabulous. 5/5
Other preparations I tasted were kebabs 5/5
buna gosh 4.5/5
you also get good continental salads, macaronis, pasta, sandwiches. but my personal favourite is Lal Maas and would suggest this place for spicy Indian nonveg food
