Sultanat lounge is a Lavish place with Luscious food and Refreshing drinks. This place has a great combination of Chilled Beer, tempting Nonveg dishes and live music. Perfect for delightful evenings with friends and family. Also the best part about this place is that it will never cost you much, rates are quite reasonable. Do visit guys.

Few days back I visited this beautiful place. They have really very nice ambience and the theme of the hotel is based on Rajasthani traditional type haveli. Sitting arrangement was so comfortable with the Sufi live music . And the most impressive thing is food. Food was so delicious. they serve both veg and non veg with chilled beer in reasonable price. The service is very fast and the staff behaviour is so friendly . My favourite from this place- •Chilli dry panner •veg biryani with mix veg raita •surmai kofta •kheer Overall it’s a wonderful experience and this is the perfect place hangout with friends and family. Highly recommend to everyone.

Ambience: 5/5 Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Presentation: 4/5 Price: $$$ Value For Money: 4/5 Pros: 1. Such a stunning and beautiful place. The place was very well maintained, and clean. 2. We had a wonderful welcome ceremony 3. Dance and live music was quite pleasing and showcases how the royals were treated back in the day 4. A once in a lifetime experience for sure 5. Lots of food for sure. I was full and couldn’t complete the whole meal 6. The staff was welcoming and courteous 7. The staff kept checking on us to see if we were happy and if we wanted any more food. Cons: 1. The food could have used some more flavor and taste and that surely would be my only gripe about the place 2. The staff clothes weren’t pressed and a tad bit dirty but, that surely doesn’t reflect their respect.

Simply wow in terms of taste and authenticity... add to it the grandeur and glamour of the whole place ... I would say this is the place to eat it ... yes it’s premium but I would assure you that you don’t regret paying for it ... the staff is courteous and the feel is very Rajasthani

This place can make you feel royal. Restaurant has 3 categories.. Ground floor: royal seating (5100 per head) 1st floor: a la carte 2nd floor: seesh Mahal (11000 per head, plates, cutlery is of real gold) We went on ground floor one. All utnsils low height table, plate, glass, cutlery was of silver. Live music, traditional dance, puppet show, magician were there. Food was too filing and good.

One must surely visit this place when in Jaipur. The food is delicious. Loved the dal Bhatti churma. Staff is very courteous. Loved the ethnic Ambience
Asmant Nimbalkar
One of the best restaurants for authentic Rajasthani thali in Jaipur. Beautiful and huge ambiance. Received warm welcome from courteous and friendly staff. There was live Rajasthani folk dance. Everything in thali was delicious and perfect. Loved sheera, ker-shangri and dal bati. Unlimited food at at a great reasonable price.

Stunning interior. When we went it was quiet, it was however late afternoon and not evening. The food was local and really tasty with dancers and music. The service was very good as well. However it was comparatively expensive but you can appreciate that it was because we were paying for the experience as well.

Perfectly wrong place to go. Negative rating option required here. Highly overrated. Star photographs are illusion. Kindly avoid.

Avoid this place, do not be fooled by tourist guides. It is depressing place

A blot on name of Rajasthani food...resturant tries to impress you with photos of stars dining at their place ..but food served is horrible and over priced.
We ordered chutney wala aloo dum..pakora kadhi and sanger ...
The chutney wala aloo dum turned out to be opposite of what was mentioned in menu description..
Kadhi was good but the pakora was so hard that you need a hammer to break it..and no consistency in kadhi..since it was the only item good we ordered 3 time and 3 times the kadhi had different thickness and consistency in taste...
Sanger was like served from refrigerator after one month.

Over all experince was Worst

How much the name is on hike of the restaurant the food is more than that pathetic
I was with my family , the services was not good at all , thali served on the table and the breads are coming after 10-12 minutes. Water was not served before asking 2-3 times, "mirchi ke tipore" was completely rotten when we complain about this the server answer was "sir this is like always we serve, Servers was not polite at all.
Completely non-recommendable place
I will not visit this in my life again

Thanks
Chef Anant Ghiya
(7877502554)

Food was rotten
Was smelling badely...
Very bad experience
I suggest everyone to not try it for once
One of badest experince of my life.......

Please don't make your family or friends eat at this utterly distasteful place. The food seemed stale, the servers were cold and disinterested, there was zero joy in having the food. When I told the management about the issue, they seemed very indifferent towards making any changes but simply gave me a 10% discount. Which hardly changes anything as the food is over expansive too. DONT EAT HERE

Located on 2nd floor of Virasat. It's a pure veg fine dine restaurant. Its a pure ala carte veg family dining. So I went there with my cousins in the evening.
.
They're serving all the cuisines viz Rajasthani, North Indian, chinese, continental and South Indian..

I must say, the service was very prompt and the food was really delicious. I ordered Alfredo pasta (white sauce pasta) which was very creamy and very cheesy..
Then we ordered American chop suey and Dry Manchurian which I can was one of the best in town.. The presentation was amazing and the quantity was not at all expected.. We were 4 in count and we all were not able to finish these meals properly..
The ambience there is so beautiful and soothing. They still have that royal dining concept under which they provide cloth napkins and table cloth which I can say made the restaurant look very rich..
You beautiful people of Virasat. Great job!!
Few pics attached..

Nice place for Authentic Rajasthani Food lovers.
Along with proper traditional welcome and Ambiance.
Price point is little high.
But over all it was good experience we tried there Traditional Rajasthani thali
Dal,bati,churma,fatta curry,dal,papad..
It was amazing experience.
JAIPUR FOOD XPLORER
Top class richy feels ambiance super lavish food and very fast service....it has a very great environment to enjoy food with live music with your loved ones....we had paneer vegetable and kofta in palak gravy both were so tasty and had chilli patato in staters which were so crunchy...the Virgin mojito is also a must try..

Never visit this palace. its waste money and time. items very less for the price and service is tooo bad. they are fooling customers by celebrities photos.
Aditya M
Not a great place. There were just 6 or so people and even in that they got confused with orders. Their non veg thali for 1500 was so not worth even half the price. It didn’t seem fresh and was tasteless. They also had an issue with another diner and the way they reacted as if they couldn’t see or hear what he was saying just put the mood off. Never coming here again or suggesting anyone as well.

Also, the restaurant and their bathrooms stink as hell. Lets hope i dont get stomach sick tomorrow considering their hygiene standards.
Shivendu Chatterjee
Over rated place, enterance is like any Chuna mandi hotel in New Delhi, food is average and the bad luck for the restaurant was the day before we had our dinner at Chokhi Danhi this place is no way compared to the quality of the food, khichra was just like a hospital diet ghee was nowhere and makkhan was so less like it was caviar.
Guys my advice skip it go to Chokhi Dhani and even it costs less and tastes better.

Take my decision or suffer.
Suresh Neralla
Visited after hearing a lot about this place with family.
But... felt it's over hyped.
As a true foodie I visit any place for experiencing the tasty & authentic food only and other "experiences" are secondary.

Reception & ambiance - good.

Singers & dancers performed at their best but that is not the best!

Food - cold, flat & average in taste.

Service - good.

Pricing - over priced!

Great ambience and gud food.Mist visit for people who want to taste Rajasthani food. The good part is that the food is less spicy as compared to origional Rajasthani food.

Visited on 20th Nov 2018. WORST WORST place to have Rajasthani Food. The rooftop dining area is dirty and dingy. Moreover food taste and quality is very VERY BAD. Then it is priced is so high, does not justice to the food quality and ambiance. In Rs 800/- per Thali, you may get a much better Rajasthani food and much better ambiance at other places. And when i tried giving feedback to the manager there, he acted so busy and pricy. He even did not any time for feedback. Feeling cheated totally...

Ambiance was awesome and food was also great.
I just enjoyed that evening. Had great fun.
.
.
Ambiance-: 5/5
Taste-: 5/5
.
.
Taste was very awesome and the quality and the quantity of food was great.
Manbani Kaur Ohri
The Jodhpuri gatta sabzi was really tasty if your a fan of shahi panner , the curry pakoda was the best out of all as it was not to heavy and authentic , but the that wale rice were a bit chewy as they weren’t fresh and they prepare them in the mornings

Welcome to the taste of Rajasthan!! This has got a Royal seating for the Royal Rajasthani’s to serve them the Royal Rajasthani dishes. The ambience is that of traditional rajwada style. Food is good. Staff is friendly and prompt to services. Very warm and friendly staff. Music was soothing.. all in all an evening well spent.
Purabi Dutta Chowdhury
There are multi levels of serving places lowest one being the most expensive with around 1500 rupees per head for a thali. It offers royal grandeur with silver cutlerys and low seatings and celebrities like Shahrookh Khan visited it. We went to an upper level which served Rajasthani thali for around 800 rupees per head. The ambience was average. food was delicious and service pleasant. We enjoyed our meal.
Fahiem Siddiqui
Awful experience. Ordered the Marwari and Dal Baati thali. I haven't consumed such substandard food ever; it's an insult to the Marwari cuisine. Paid 1680 for nothing. The sitting area is unsophisticated and the furnitures were stained. Made me thinking why I even went there. Strongly recommend you against visiting this place.
Disha Rawal
Decorated with photos of famous personalities, the virasat restaurant's food is pretty mediocre at best. However, that is not the biggest issue. The hygeine standards are pretty problematic. Not only that, the food is not served well, and the servers are unprofessional. Not recommended.

Pathetic food! Pathetic hospitality. Worst restaurant I ever visited. Lousy service. If you ever want to take revenge from your enemies, suggest this place. Please don't go.

1700 for one person + tax for food which is not at all worth it . Not even okayish. Tried this on somebody’s reference. Had to leave everything. Stale food ,Air con weak, really bad singers , smelly utensils , serving with a blank face. Awful experience . I am so sad that In one night I have in Jaipur , I wasted my appetite here. Complained to the managers. No idea about a’la carter but please don’t waste your money for a thali. 😐
Gurminder Singh Sandhu
The restaurant is quite famous in city.it has 3 options for sitting and rate of food served varies from where to opt to dine. Though food may be same. We tried their first floor traditional sitting dining area.It has live local band being played. The staff took an extra ordinary effort to serve and show their superb hospitality.
Now the food! Food was simple traditionally cooked typically Rajasthani.you need to have desi liking to enjoy the food. Otherwise overall a good experience.
Sonakshi Vyas
The food taste is not at all authentic rajasthani, to add on the service is extremely slow. Also the air conditioner dont work atleast it wasnt when we visited the place
Vibhor Golash
I would really suggest not to eat at this place, its has tasteless food, really bad ambience, and they even served us a bati which was stale(purani/kharab) and their prices are same as a 5star restaurant... In total had a really bad experience

Not a good place to experience Rajasthani Cuisine

I have visited with my New Brother-in-Law on his insistence to taste the famous Daal, Baati, churma of Jaipur. We ended up going there because we knew of no place which served daal baati, the ambience is good, the way they serve the food is also good, but when we tasted the food it was terrible, it tasted nothing like the daal baati i know( i belong to jaipur), the baati was dry and very hard, lacked the taste of ghee, the churma is supposed to be moist and fresh but it tasted as if had been packed in he fridge for a couple of days and served to us after microwaving it, it has become coarse, and lacked the freshness. I would def. not recommended you to go to this place if you want to taste rajasthani food.

Rajasthani Dal baati churma full Thali at Virasat Heritage Restaurant #Jaipur. Dinner with local folk performances makes the meal worthwhile!
Shabana Kasem
An average place to enjoy the Rajasthani cuisine. Food is quite rich and spicy and the ambience is just about okay. You could try it once for an experience; could have been much better if it was well maintained!

Place is nice but the food quality is below average...
Service is good, Need to improve the food quality
No proper parking space.....
Staff is friendly.

Virasat is a well known heritage restaurant that is popular for its traditional Rajasthani food and culture.

- Location & Ambience : 3.5/5
Located on the second floor of Virasat heritage restaurant, next to cafe bae, this place is very easy to locate. It has got three levels of seating according to your preference. Well I went to Rajwada which was located on the second floor. It is more of a family dine- in place. The ambience is smooth and calm too.

- Food & Beverages : 3/5

1. Kadhai paneer : 3/5
Paneer tossed in Kadhai gravy with onions and capsicum. I personally didn’t liked the taste but my family loved it.

2. Dal tadka : 3/5

3. Tandoori roti : 3.5/5

4. Kachumar salad : 3/5

5. Masala Chaach : 3.5/5

- Staff & Service : 3/5
Staff was friendly and professional. They had very less crowd when we visited this place but still the service was really slow.

- Value for money : 3/5

- Will I visit again?
Nope

Had Rajastani thali here. I liked the ambience of the restaurant.
Food is OK but it's so pricey.

Liked their hospitality.
Singers with their singing and dancing are the attractive ones.
Ishan
We went there for a late night dinner with friends and this place didn't disappointed us at all .. the service & food was top notch . Not very expensive but indeed the ambience is very royal.. with 4 floors of restuarants with different style of dining all together.. it's a must visit..

They were also displaying pictures of many Bollywood actors & actresses been there for dining.. Even the likes of Shahrukh Khan couldn't resist being there..

Superb
Pallavi Dubey
The ambience is superb of Rajwada

Even though it's really costly but that is all because of the ambience and the singers are too good

The food is average in taste especially if you have been to chowki dhaani the previous night

The service is good though but not as inviting and friendly as chowki dhaani

Their 3 Rd floor thaali which is little lower on the price is tooo shabby and bad . They could improve it a little bit

Overall just 1 time experience wouldn't like to visit again !!
Preeti Jose
Went with a team of 3 people from office. We had our colleague from San Jose whom we wanted to get a feel of Rajasthani thali, music and culture. We opted for the rooftop chauki style of seating. It was great, the food was very tasty, we chose one North Indian Thali, one Day Batti Churma thali and 2 Rajasthani Thali. All of them were amazing and the service offered was also great. They make you wear a safa which makes you look Royal. They also had musicians and dancers what did a fantastic. Sang good Bollywood songs with the Rajasthani touch. Overall a great place to visit. At the entrance of the restaurant they make you click pictures but cost a bomb for it. That's the only turn off.
Annmary Et
Good vegetarian restaurant with a nice ambience and ethnic feel. The decor in the restaurant was attractive. Food tasted good and prices were reasonable.
Akshita Kothari
My experience is very bad at virasat.
Ambience - is good if some one havnt seen traditional touch but not recommended for localite nothing new for us.

Food- I didn't like the taste. We ordered North Indian thali and daal baati but food is not fresh. They need to Improve on taste. Even some dishes are cold again again we need to say garam le aao. Not at all value for money.

Not recommended if you value your money.
Urvashi Dubey
If you’re looking for a royal maharaja or maharani style dining experience then this is the place. They have four levels of seating we went to the swarn mahal they didn’t offer any feet washing of turban tying to us as they refer in their website but we were given ready made turbans to wear. Swarn Mahal has a roayal seating arrangement and welcomes you with Rajasthani folk dance and music throughout your meal.
About the food, they serve you a refreshing drink which was like jaljeer after that a plate of snacks with paneer and pakoras and after that comes the silver thali with different Rajasthani cuisines like daag, daal Bati, churns of two types, gulag jamun, curry, dal, rice, brinjal and potato etc. with your choice of bread ( which includes makki ki roti, bajre ki roti, normal chapati) all of this is unlimited and in the last an ice cream. The food is amazing and so is the place.
A bit expensive but an experience.
Hriday
Virasat is well know in Jaipur for serving Rajasthani dishes in the traditional way. It has three serving areas with slightly different menu, rates and seating options. My only intention of visiting Virasat was to try Dal Bati Churma and I ordered the combo (refer pic) wherein they serve two types of churma, two pieces of plain bati and two pieces of masala bati, dal and kadhi. I loved the combo though the quantity served is ideal for two. A must have in case one is planning to Virasat.
Ritika Sharma (Ritzy)
When you hear Virasat the first thing that comes to the mind is something related to Royal, Ethnic and Traditional. Well..Yes, Virasat is an opulent restaurant with 3 levels of dinning area offering Rajasthani and Marwari cuisines. Visited by many famous film stars and latest by Sharukh Khan, this place is well recognised.
Decor of the restaurant reflects the rajasthani culture displaying the famous blue pottery on the walls. The entry way had a small shopee of antiques. We visited this place twice and both times opted for second floor, which is a fine dinning restaurant.
Now coming to food we tried Malai kofta, veg jhal frezy, gatte ki sabji, dal tadka, raita and lemon rice. Out of which Malai kofta and gatte ki sabji were the best. Jhal frezy was a bit spicy. Food being okay. The restaurant can work to improve the taste of the food. In deserts we ordered Gulab Jamun which were delicious and mouth watering. Service was good. Prices were exorbitant as this is mainly to attract foreigners and tourist who want to get a feel of the rich traditional culture. But this place is worth visiting only if you want to experience the typical Rajasthani cuisine with the same decor thrown in for that extra zing.
Vimal Malik
We had gone today n ordered lassi n papdi chaat. The lassi was very sweet n papdi chaat very tasteless. It had no taste of chaat. Terrible experience not worth repeating
Mansj Savla
Very late service & forgot to serve us one dish...applied extra GST charges which have changed since 15 days and didn't agree to change. Other than that the taste and quality of the food was good. We ordered churma bati, virasat platter, Cheese chilly toast and chaas.
Nidhi
Horrible horrible horrible!!!
To start with entrance it says it’s the world record holder it’s clear once you get in that it holds world record for worst food ever. Never in my life I had such horrible food in Rajasthan 🙄 For Rs 1500+ tax (in the world of GST) only thing that you can touch in entire thali is dal batti what a rip off! This is the perfect tourist trap! In the name of traditional Rajasthani ice cream we got given vadilal, clearly they know their tradition. Horrible horrible horrible save yourself money, energy and time !!!
Rakesh Contact
Ate at 2nd floor on karwa choth with my fiance and her sister...very tasteless food..none of the 3 items we ordered in main course were any good..total waste of money and both ladies went home almost hungry after fasting whole day..very poor experience..not at all worth its name..
Simran
Famous for its rajasthani thali.
So is the very authentic taste, goes with the name it has.
Very friendly staff, well organised and well managed sitting area.
Must visit once, it has very rich traditional dinning with superb service.
Prakhar
Guys this is it. If there could be a rating less than this, I would have opted for it. I mean I really can't find any reason for you guys to visit this restaurant as you don't miss anything if you have not been there.
Dining at this restaurant was my worst experience. Staff is highly untrained in regards to service standards. They hold the soup cups with the brim and could you imagine a restaurant for this category doesn't have saucers under the soup bowls. The server is standing at one corner and serving everyone on the table standing at the same corner without moving.
Chinese croquet set was so dirty and stained that even a street vendor would be more hygienic than this much spoken restaurant.
Over on top, the servers bring you the bill and finger bowl even if the some people are still dining on the table. When you ask them why did they do it, the reply is that the restaurant has to be closed at 11 so that is the reason they got the bill.
I mean who would like to dine at this kind of place who does not know basis etiquettes of services.
Would never recommend it to anyone.
Shrishti Murarka
Not value for money. Better Rajasthani cuisines are available across jaipur . Advertised well to lure customers but not worth it if you are a foodie
Takuro Watanabee
We chose 3rd floor having Indian thali with dance show. The taste didn't match with us although some plates were good. After 1st dance was over, I was ask "do you finish your food?" so many times even after I clearly answered "not yet, I'm still eating". So I asked them "do I have to leave now?" then they answered "yes"... I was surprised with their answer because it was still less than 1 hour after we started dinner. I've never come here again and recommended you not to visit here.
Yogendra Singh Rathore
It's a pathetic place, Had visited with one of my Mumbai friend to give him taste of Rajasthani food But the taste of all the things were like having food at some road side cheap restaurant and we paid huge amount as well, it seems that they target only tourist who never had Dal Baati Churma .

Really too much bad experience, I would never suggest anyone to go here.

I request them to improve the quality of food, Focus more on food quality instead more advertising.
Hitesh Choudhary
Amazing place to visit. Top class look and feel and food is amazing. Lots of options to choose in food. We tried ground floor food option and it was totally worth it. Loved the service and humble nature. Music makes you feel more luxury.
Ashna.jn
Horrible service. Not at all customer welcoming. We were literally swiped off the restaurant because of the rain. They served us food and then winded up in the entire restaurant in front of us. Horrible place . We were literally ill treated. We coMplained to the senior manager but he was not at all apologetic. He gave attitude and we still paid 2.5k and came out of it because they did not care at all. Please do not go here if you don't want to spoil your trip
Kavita Bahuguna
Went to this restaurant for dinner on recommendation of friends, and found to be a good choice. Traditional look from outside itself, the three floored restaurant is keeping the tradition of Rajasthan alive.

We opted for second floor, a fine dining restaurant as the ground floor is low seating with traditional thali option only and the first floor is with live entertainment.

Had DAL BATTI CHURMA and JODHPURI GUTTA CURRY with INDIAN BREAD...good food...
Sangeeta Bahuguna
Nice ambiance and very ethnic decor is quite welcoming with traditional attire of the server and different floors have different stlye , one floor have royal style dining where guests are pampered with turbans on their heads and low sitting where fixed thali menu is served and have live folk dance and music is there for entertainment, We opted for fine dining on second floor and had rajasthani patent Dal Baati churma and Jodhpuri Gatta Curry with indian breads. Food was good so was service.
Aditya Desai
The food is absolutely average and below expectations. Most of gravely were similar in taste and texture, the overall good was like warm and dull. Complete let off for someone who wants authentic warm Rajasthani food. Only dal Bhati was upto the mark.
LadyfromDelhi
Overpriced and overhyped. We were served cold tasteless food in their highest priced thali that is the Marwari. Definitely avoidable. There are much better alternatives in town.
Kinjal Mehta
My colleague took to this place during my last visit in jaipur and I am so so glad he did.
Everything about this place was just so perfect.
Right from the ambience to the service and the food.
I went for the rajasthani thali
Which consisted of Dal batti, 2 types of churma, gatte ki sabzi, kaḍhi, lahsoon chutney, green chilies, kheer, Roti, bajre ki roti etc etc
The food was so tasty provably the best dal batti churma I have ever had.
If you are tourist in jaipur and looking for authentic rajasthani cuisine or thali this place right here is a must visit
Manish Shinde
Virasat Hertiage Restaurant#

Pink City, Jaipur#

This place is just beautiful the interior and way of seating arrangements on both floors. Feeling like to having food in King Palace. But they need to improve in few food taste. You can enjoy thali system which is more expensive.Service is good.

3.5/5 is only for Interior & Service.
Abhinav Mehrishi
Utter Wastage of Money "Pathetic food, Pathetic service", they are the Black Spot in the name of Authenthic Rajasthani Food. Mr. Manish (Owner) you should be ashamed of your service, food quality, & very very arrogant staff. Please stop cheating your customer by putting such board of world record holder.
Urvashi
Well decorated place as we r in some palace. Food quality was superb.Serving style wad awesome. We feel like prince n princess there.Service was fast. Staff members were good natured.Rates were reasonable. I recommend everyone to visit here.

Never ever take any one of your guests to this place!! 👎🏻
I took an dal baati enthusiast to this place & one look at their daal baati churma thali and absolutely regretted it. Only thing that saved me was that my guest had no clue what good daal baati tasted like!! So his comments were "its fine" but honestly it was horrible!!

First they served chaach which was good & much welcomed in this heat.
Then came the disaster, The Daal Baati Churma thali.
It had:-
1. daal-daal was ok little too much garlic
2. kadhi- was so thick & oily.
3. Gatta- taste was ok not at all spicy
4. Mirche ke tapore- only thing I liked. It was good
5. Lehsun chutney- not properly cooked, was kind of raw.
6. Churma- There were two kind of churma, atta & besan and both of them were disaster, so dry & one can taste the Boora! One bite & I was like hell no!!!
7. Sada Baati- it was tasteless no salt in the dough I guess & was kind of dry. Everyone knows ghee is the essence of daal bati. Put some ghee in it!!!
8. Masala baati- I never prefer masala baati over sada but this time I did bcoz other one was so bad & it was ok.
9. Kheer- It was so watery & all the rice was sink to bottom & milk on top. If you call sweet mix of boiled rice & milk kheer. This was it!!

Never coming back.!
Manish Jaggi
Please don't eat dal baati here. Very dissatisfied and disappointing.
Jodhpuri gatta also bland.
It's an overhyped place. Visually good but food not authentic.

Yatin Girdhar
Went for Lunch with family.

The place has that heritage look and feel about it.

The food taste was okay, staff was fine and the ambiance was nice.

The place was peaceful and is a one time visit for sure 👍
Raghvendra Maheshwari
Had such awesome food after a while. Food is too good. We were at the restaurant which serves a la carte. There are 2 other options of thali also and i am sure those would also be awesome. Must go place in jaipur.

One of the worst experience ever had in Jaipur... Stale food... Bad taste... Non courteous staff... Poor ambience... Extremely bad behaviour...

My first visit there with my mom as she's a vegetarian...
entered for the first time and the guy welcomes us with masala in his mouth with dirty brown teeth... and directly tells us 1500/- ki thali hai.. funny
Atleast tell me what all dishes are served
Anyway the food was below average and the only things I liked was the buttermilk and garlic chatney
I don't think i would go back to this place
All the best

Opens at 12, love the interiors and the food..
It's a brilliant place to offer the best experience in the city. Get your friend here if they not experienced the true Rajisthani food..
We ordered ker sangari , jodhpur gutta curry and kadhi pakora..
With a basket full of assorted breads..
Yum yum yum..
Try out the silver thali at the ground floor..

This place had a lot of hype most notable for the guests who have visited it. People like Imtiaz Ali, Evelyn Sharma etc have been the recent visitors!

Coming to the food it was a bit of a let down in terms of flavour of Noodles and Paneer Chilly. However the taste of South Indian dishes made up for it.

We visited the restaurant and not the traditional more expensive option on the ground floor. While the food could have been better the ambience was quite royal and quintessential Rajasthani.

Very bad food . The service was quick but it felt like it was quick because they wanted us to leave . Staff emotional intelligence was zero.

Staff members did not know a thing about the dishes they were serving . Plus the spoons and plates were dirty . Place was messy and needed proper upkeep .

However the paan outside (which was way too expensive) was really nice . It Might be the only ray of hope which is saving grace for Rajwada.

You guys really need to improve the quality of food it's not worth at all ... You are costing serious buck without any taste however the ambiance is fine

Great ambience, friendly staff and yummy food. One should definitely try daal baati churma combo and lots of yummy Rajasthani curries. We tried palak gatte ke saag, which was very yummy. Masala baatis, kadhi and daal were yummy too. The items in the menu are not decently priced compared to the quantity served. But overall it's a nice place to have traditional Rajasthani cuisine.

It's a typical case of Naam Bade aur Darshan Chhote
Or
This one's The Rahul Gandhi of restaurants in Jaipur.
We sat in the 3rd floor restaurant which
-stank a bit.
-Very average food.Gutta were Kacchha,Daal Baati was
very forgettable,Lahsun chutney is so overpriced it
almost tasted bitter.
-Poor service,fumbling waiter and cocky/arrogant/curt/
rude steward.
Why go and pay to get hurt???
There are better restaurants in Jaipur.
Had a decent experience with LMB near Hawa Mahal, try talking to the old Bengali gent.May be the Virasat guys should get down from their high horses and learn from LMB.
PL AVOID VIRASAT..!

We heard a lot about this place hence decided to try it. I didn't read reviews so I could go unbiased. It's a 3floor thematic restaurant geared to give people a typical Rajasthani experience. It's got the entire works of traditional dancers etc..Infact a presentation is made just as you enter, on a screen and you can choose your option on where to eat. We decided the ala carte floor, and ordered daal baati churma combo Thali, jodhpuri gatta and Ker Sangri. The experience was mix. The Ker Sangri was outstanding.. Would strongly recommend it. The gatte ki sabzi was also outstanding. But what we'd really gone there for, daal baati churma was such a disappointment 😞. The baatis were so hard that I had to spit out part of it. I didn't particularly care for the masala baati (sometimes traditional stuff is best left alone). Now for the service... Quite average! Not at all friendly or even a happy one. The decor is gaudy and imposing in a not very nice way. I think the place overdoes the Rajasthani traditional bit. Foreigners might get fooled at best but I found it yucky and loud without reason. But then people may like it... Famous people's pics have been put up but they may not necessarily be food experts.
On the whole food wasn't too bad but the gaudiness of the place put me off.

Very beautiful traditional place and quite amazing ambience . Very tasty food. Folk music players are talented . Overall worth the experience and price :)

Greater Ambience , did try to replicate Choki Dhani but food is comparatively better in here then that of choki dhani . But as per part of food. It could have been better. But as per experience it was totally worth it.. would give it a try..

The ambition is good ....staff is good and cooperative.....parking facility is good ..staff told all the facilities of dining ......last the food is not up to the mark.....according to price .....

The thali was nice but too heavy. We ordered for the Rajasthani and a dal baati thali. It was OK priced. However the lighting needs to improve on the top floor dining area. The chapati was horrible. Though the Bajre ki roti was nice.

On a New Years trip to Jaipur, we ask our hotel manager to suggest some traditional Rajasthani food places. And here we go to Virasat. Saw the rating on Zomato and thought might just be a normal restaurant. But clearly it's some world record holder restaurant. Panned out on 3 floors, 2 of them offering Rajasthani thalis, this place impressed us as soon as we entered. However, we decided to go for ala Carte as we had other plans for thalis and all. We ordered Chhaachh, chana masala, gatta curry, and rotis. Must say the service was fast and food was tasty. The gattas were so soft that they were kind of melting in the mouth. Chana masala was spicy and tasty. To top it all, Chhaachh full of cumin and mint, superb.
Coming out of this place, we didn't forget to get some clicks in traditional Rajasthani pagdis.
One of the good experiences to start our Jaipur trip with.

The Virasat restaurant was recommended to us while we stopped in Jaipur on our way to Ranthambore last weekend.

Location - Easy to find and bang on the main road. Parking was easy for us that day despite being lunch time on a Saturday.

Ambience - The restaurant offers three levels of dining level one and three offer the same kind of food ie - traditional Rajasthani or Marwari thali. The difference is in the level of service provided in each floor. Both floors offers traditional dance however the ground floor offers more majestic seating. The ground floor seating is more expensive. Second floor offers regular dining experience with A La Carte dishes. I guess they don't offer thali there.

We opted for third floor. We were offered seats on the ground with small table in front of us for serving food. Live folk dance was there which lasted barely 8-10 minutes.

Food - We ordered the Marwari thali which was their most expensive offering. The presentation was top class and all the dishes were placed one by one and details given when asked about a specific dish. The portions were substantial for one person with refill available for all dishes you see in the picture any number of times. The food was tasty even with so many options to choose from. The staff was courteous. The would recommend this to people travelling to the city.

Pricing is the only factor which I feel would attract more tourists than locals.
Traditional decoration and Dish presentation is eye catching but the taste of food is below average(felt like just boiled with salt no spices or anything unique) they won't even explain any dish(almost 20 types of tasteless dishes will be served) and prices wow! very very high...Now lets talk about distractions...very basic dance will be performed with folk songs...it was a great disturbance for me...In short in this price (or less than that) you can have very good finger licking food at any good restaurant(like BBQ NATION )...And 'i' (May be 'v') of VIRASAT (Main tittle of restaurant at outside) isn't working (Glowing light) at night so replace it...

Virasat is a very well marketed & centrally placed restaurant.

Ambience: (4/5) When you enter via narrow alley, beautiful plants and fragrence welcomes you, which kind of lightens up the mood even before entering the place.

The interior of place has a lot of work done which reflects the rajasthani culture.

Staff & Service: (4/5) Staff was very nice and assisted us with our order. They made sure that they are near the table all the time, just in case !

Food & Portion Size: (3/5): We ordered two Rajasthani Thalis, Paneer Tikka, French fries & noodles for the little one.

Paneer Tikka: One of the best in Jaipur.

French fries & Chow Mein: Perfect !

Rajasthani Thali: Now this was the main reason we went to Virasat. I am a huge fan of rajasthani food and have tasted it from more than 5 outlets in and around Jaipur.

I won't say that it tasted bad, it was good but was not upto mark.

Bati were chewy, Churma was very dry and plain.

If you haven't tried food from places like Chokhi Dhani and Amber vilas, you will like it but I will still recommend Chokhi Dhani for Rajasthani Food.
The ambience of this place is simply superb. The live performance is catchy and entertaining. The food was good. Tasted both Rajasthani and marwadi thali. It had all the elements and looked fantastic. But few items were not that tasty.

A very popular and authentic restaurant with traditional seating arrangement...live music and dance performance adds life to dining...service is bit slow otherwise good...a must visit

Total waste of money and time. Food is really pathetic. Ambiance also looks good only in photographs. Service is extremely poor. You ll regret later if you go to this place after reading this review.

This was an exclusive place with lovely authentic food. The reviews are misguiding. Would always suggest all to try this place. The quality the staff the ambience is just too good and too clean.

Do not try any other place

Simply out of the world, this place oozes royalty with three levels, one royal dining hall, where you sit on silver stools and are served in true royal style a meal fit for the kings, with live performances and photo opportunities on a throne. The second one is the multi cuisine restaurant and on the third level is the traditional thali one, where you are seated on pillows and serves a delightful meal and serenaded my local dancers and musicians.

Ordered for the daal bati thali and it was enormous with two types of batis (tough dough balls cooked in a clay pot and then doused in ghee), the there was daal, kadhi, rice, homemade butter and gatte ka saag with two types of churmas. Flavored and cooked perfectly and allows you to taste the tradition of Rajasthan when you wash down your meal with butter milk. Not for the faint hearted and calorie conscious guys, come here to have a carnival of taste and calories and the colors. Lastly wrap your meal with the sandalwood flavored paan. Delicious beyond words and the hospitality is a reflection of Rajasthan

For little over 700 incl tax, I feel it is a beautiful dining place and worth the experience.

I was touring Rajasthan and wanted to try an authentic Rajasthani thali. We entered this restaurant armed with recommendations and expectations. Sadly the food was subpar. For a little more than Rs 700/- for a thali per person, it's extremely disappointing for a thali to be tasteless. (in the entire thali, only thing I liked was butter and chaas. Yeap, that's right.) But credit where credit is due: it does give you a Rajasthani experience, there is song and dance, low seated seating - the works for those who like that sort of thing. Be warned.

We had some guests from Mumbai
So as I had heard a lot about Virasat... Decided to take family for a dinner tonight
The place has three floors
Ground floor - Swarn Mahal ( Royal Dinning )
2nd floor - Rajwada ( fine dinning )
3rd floor - Bajot Shivir ( Traditional Dinning )

We decided to go for Traditional Dinning to explore the Rajasthani touch
The Rajasthani theme of the restaurant gives you a vibrant feeling and no table & chairs.
Sit on the floor with those fancy chokhis
And 3 choice of Thaalis are available
1 Rajasthani thaali
2 Dal Bati Churma thaali
3 North Indian Thaali

We decided to order all the options available
And the food served was delicious but cold and that was quite disappointing
Asked the server to replace the vegetables and serve hot

Improvisation is a must to keep up the Name and the Fame of the restaurant.

Good Food but make sure it's served HOT!!!!
Shriya Ojha
A typical rajasthani theme based restaurant.
They have a thali system here.
The service was very nice but I didn't find anything special about the food.

We went next door to Virasat after having been thrown out of HOP (very British staff there). Amazing, amazing place - this Virasat!!! Royal treatment: Live classical music, and folk dance performance, with again, local musicians. The ambience is impeccable, I'll run out of superlatives. The ceiling itself takes your breath away, but the whole set up is just oozing royalty. And the regal experience of sitting on soft red cushions and having a meal, like courtiers - WOW!!! The musicians played Tabla and Santoor (otherworldly Santoor!!) The music just dissolved into the air, it transports you! And then the folk dancer came, with her own troop of musicians who had harmonium and woodblocks.

Best walk out I ever did! I should thank the server who made me leave House of People.

Virasat is not about food (though food was undoubtedly good!) It's an experience!!!

Since this was midst the city and had been recommended, tried Rajasthani thali on the third floor. There wasn't anthing special or standing out when compared to other Rajasthani restaurants raising the bar. The cost value proposition is not blanced and felt paid more than it deserve. The food was tasty but choices were limited, infact most of Rajasthani restaurants in other cities offer more tasty varieties and well priced options. Overall not so exited to have lunch at Virasat.

Exceptional! That's the first word I can use. Absolutely poured with culture and tradition, it's just an amazing restaurant! What a hell of a food! Had the all famous gatta curry, Dal-baati-choorma combo & the most awe-inspiring one, the "Fried chilly"! It was just amazingly delicious!! Everything was just outstanding in taste. Had I been able to rate it 10 out of 5, it would've done it! Superb just superb food👌👌 After all, so many celebrities haven't visited here just like that! It's a heritage of Rajasthan!💜

It was great to visit this place truly augmented with tradition and culture. Vast menu right from traditional to modern dishes.
We ordered various dishes all were finger licking and was good in taste.
It a nice calm traditional ambience of purely rajwadi style.
Though staff is bit slow in serving but had a great time with family..
Verdict must visit place just for veggiee lovers..
Food : 4/5
Presentation : 3.5/5
Ambience : 4.5/5
Staff : 3.5/5
Location : 5/5
Absolutely lovely, this place!
The façade, the interiors, the ambiance, BRILLIANT!

Loved the seating, the tables, the way they explain the different seating and floors, the food! All good!

We Ordered for the Daal Bati churma combo and curd rice.
Loved the baatis. Churma was not that great.
But the place was so nice and calm, I could sit there all day.
definitely do visit!

Worst experience ever faced in hospitality industry. Staff was not at all attentive. Food was not at all warm (Cant think about hot). Staff was busy in there personal chats. Very unprofessional services in comparison to their marketing over Radio and all!

I will rate "0"

Giving them marks only for the decor not for the food..Went to this place on the recommendations of our hotels G M but found the place only good looks wise. Decorated with the pics of famous stars and personalities but food was really bad. It felt stale and i didnt like it a bit..They start by serving a drink which was quite chatpata like a jaljeera..and 2 pieces of starters which were a small piece of paneer tikka and a small pakodi...That was the only thing which was tasty out of the whole food. Then comes the thali looks very nice but doesnt deliver on the taste front. The gatta in the thali wasnt even tasting like gatta. The daal baati choorma were ok.. The Baati didnt feel fresh. It was a let down. The dance show and the music were ok. Wont recommend this place for food but if u want ambience and you are feeling touristy please visit...

Hi friends, went jaipur last week- end. want to have some traditional food like "dal -baati "

This is the WORST restaurant I came across in jaipur :
1) Bad or Worst food
2) Quality of food is AWFUL AND PATHETIC - Batti were to hard , gatta curry was not fresh, sweets taste were not of traditional Rajasthan , FOOD WAS NOT FRESH
3)Poor service
4) Highly expensive (I took the option of 1500 thali and its a complete waste) there are 3 options - ground floor -1500 thali , 2nd floor is restaurant and 3rd floor has 700 and 900 (marwadi thali )
5) ambiance of ground floor is nice - but paying 1500 for the restaurant look and feel is waste.

PLEASE DO NOT GO , IF YOU VISIT TO JAIPUR - A COMPLETE WASTE MONEY RESTAURANTS
