Review Saffron - Jaisalmer

Spacious terrace for a good dinner in the evening N26.916048 E70.910795 Near the western gate on the Gandhi Chowk Square is Saffron Restaurant on the roof of the Hotel Nachana Haveli, a wonderful cozy hotel with many courtyards and adjoining rooms. The spacious rooftop terrace is partly covered by a tent, but the afternoon heat made it unappealing for lunch. From the rooftop terrace, we spotted a nice shaded courtyard with a water fountain within the hotel grounds in November 2022. After some persuasion, lunch with sandwiches and tea was served in the courtyard, courtesy with good Wi-Fi reception. Staying out of the heat has never been soon comfortable. In the evening, we returned for a generous vegetarian thali dish, not printed on the menu. It was delicious. The many biting mosquitoes diminished the experience, but staff quickly took effective measures. Saffron serves excellent non-vegetarian and vegetarian food. Recommended.

Possibly the best meal in India. No fort views but views over lovely peaceful garden courtyards

Nice restaurent. We ordered pasta for my daughter. It was very nice. Nimbu pani was very very refreshing. Service was good. Price is bit at higher side but quality and Quantity justifies the price. Thanks. Keep serving good food.

It is one of the best restaurants I have ever visited. The food takes time to get prepared, but the taste is awesome. It has both inside and outside seating arrangement. The seats are quite comfort able. The restaurant is located inside a Haveli which is very beautiful. I would suggest to try out this restaurant if one visits Jaisalmer. The restaurant is on expensive end.

It's within Nachna Haveli complex. A 400 year old building made of famous yellow limestone. Slightly on the expensive side. But you get beer and wine. It's on rooftop, offering a gorgeous view of the castle.

Food is delicious, restaurant is quiet and spacious. Prices are quite reasonable, maybe a bit on the higher side. Veg and non-veg. Paneer Mushrooms and Bhoona Chicken (chef recommendation) are super tasty.

This is a great restaurant on the roof of the hotel, with wonderful views of the fort and the city. Particularly notable for the wonderful local music and dancing performed at dinner -- so great to see artists enthusiastically sharing their craft!

We have visited Jaisalmer a few times on business. Saffron is at the top of the beautiful historic haveli Nancha in the main busy square of Jaisalmer. Like stepping into a fairytale! Just entering the haveli is an experience, you have to discover the ancient stairway up to the rooftop. We have enjoyed tables outside on their terrace and under the tented restaurant. The food is well worth waiting for and all freshly prepared (we checked!). We had indian dishes, best poppadoms ever! loved the vegetable kofta, and also discovered their yummy chilli potatoes. They have a good menu including western and Chinese dishes. We were well looked after and and having tried a few other places think Saffron is a good choice - they even remembered us when we went back! We have travelled extensively in India and have no hesitation recommending this Place. We loved meeting the owners who checked we had enjoyed our meal and took time to chat! Can’t go wrong here!

Best food and stay at Nachana haveli. Saffron is by far the best resturant we have eaten at in rajasthan. If you happen to meet Sunidhi or Shakti it will be an icing on the cake as they both are absolutely wonderful host. They not only ensure we had a good time but they shared so many laughs n stories. Being form the royal family they are extremely humble and affectionate. Very good food, good music, good staff and a must try is the Rajasthani veg thali

Saffron restaurant has great food, you will remember the taste forever! Not to be missed. With a roof top setting near the fort, the ambience is also great.
