Review Bhatia Sweets - Jaisalmer

nikhil chordia
Hands down the best sweet shop in entire Jaisalmer. There are a long list of things to try here. 1. malai Ghewar - This is the best here and I would highly Recommend everyone to try it out , the ghewar and the malai together taste out of the world , Ghewar is just soft enough and with every bite the malai on top makes it very delicious. 2. Rasmalai - This is a sweet available across India but please do try this here , the taste and quality of the ingredients speak for itself . The rasmalai is soft and the milk perfectly tasty and not too sweet. 3. Mawa Kachori - The sweet version of the kachori , tasty and not too sweet so everyone can enjoy eating it. 4. mirchi vada - When in Rajasthan ditch the Samosa and instead have Mirchi Vada . It is the local delicacy here and it tastes great

Those having a sweet tooth, they will like it for sure..For a foodie like me, i liked it as it's not much sweeter but tastes perfect. It satisfied my taste buds and hence bought 2-3 kg of Ghothua.. It's made of besan/chickpea flour and many other nutritious ingredients. As per the shop owner, it can last for 25 days without getting spoiled. Must try πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

We had the famous ghotua laddoos the first day which was delicious. We especially loved their jalebis which were piping hot and ghevar. We even dropped in the next day for some onion kachori, mogar kachori and mirchi vada. I liked their onion and mogar kachori better than mirchi vada but was glad the vada filling wasn't too sour as opposed to the ones I found elsewhere and in jodhpur

This is best place ij Jaisalmer for local sweets, kachoris, samosa qnd mitchi vada. In 3 visits to this place during our 2-day stay in Jaisalmer, we tried almost everything from their offerings. Pyaj Kachori, Daal Kachori, Samosa, Mirchivada, Gotwa (local besan sweet), Ghewar, Jalebi and what not... And nothing disappointed. Everything is must try over here.

Nice and delicious sweets. This shop is famous in the vicinity of the Sonar fort. The famous Ghotuvan sweets are available at this shop. The behaviour of the shopkeeper is quite friendly. The street in which the shop is located is good for two wheelers but difficult for 4 wheelers. There is a free parking are for two wheelers.

I visited this sweet shop as it was highly rated by several you tube vloggers. The taste and the quality of the sweet I purchased was ok. Though the price of the sweet was reasonable, I think, this place is overrated.

The Ghotua ladoo is out-of-this-world. Slightly over-sweet, but lovely texture. Not sold elsewhere in the country (yet).

It's an iconic Jaisalmer's Sweet shop. They have a nice range of namkeen snacks and the famous Ghotua laddus. The samosas were pretty amazing and we bought ghotua laddus from their other branch while leaving jaisalmer. The quality is pretty good but the rush gets mad in peak hours.

Worth all the hype and recommendations on Google. We actually saw this place on the first day of our visit while going to see the Nathmal ki haveli but never knew that this was that good. We went there had Pyaz kachori, mirchi vada and the soft succulent rasmalai. I am typing and still able to re collect how soft that rasmalai was. We also got some sweets packed (all milk based). But the Bengali kind of sweets need to be savoured then and there itself. Kachori and mirchi bada had that tang. Highly recommended!!
