Review Thar Roof Top Restaurant & Cafe - Jaisalmer

This place is near by railway station and opposite to the jaisalmer fort. The view from the cafe at the night to too good. I met Abhishek , Bhawani bhaiya and jaffer at this cafe. All three are amazing and very friendly. My whole jaisalmer trip was planned by them. The food is delicious and come in the budget. Alcohol is served here. They accept all kind of digital payment and UPI. No card payment available. Visit this place and talk with the host they will guide you properly. Also be kind to them :)

Perfect Location Near The Fort With Great Food.The Vibe Is Soo Different and music in background Adds The good Mood While eating.

Good cafe for hanging out. Has good offering for foods and has option of doing WFH with Wifi and charging facilities. Plus view from the roof is mesmerizing.

The place has a open rooftop traditional seating style with a picturesque vie of the fort wall. The three musketeers of the cafe(Jeetu, Sam and Paliwal) will not shy away from helping you plan your days while you are in Jaisalmer. Gave us a great company during our dinner and shared the history of the city with us. A must visit cafe for some good home style cooked meal and a very lit up ambience. One should start their Jaisalmer trip after visiting this cute little cafe!

Tasty food and good ambience. This Restaurant got a very good staff and the quality of the food is also good. The behaviour of the staff here is also up to the mark. We have ordered Rajasthani Thali and enjoyed the food. The price is at the reasonable side and the quantity they give is also too much for one person to have. Overall we had a great experience in the restaurant and enjoyed the tasty food.

Delicious food. Service is so good. Affordable food. Food is stunning, both the tapas and downstairs restaurant. Cocktails wow, wine great and lovely selection of beers. Came in and found the food to be delicious and the locals friendly. Nice view of the fort and a covered patio offer a great place to relax and eat good food. Will definitely be coming back!

When we think about celebrations, Thar restaurant is always our first option and it never disappoints. From the starter to the dessert the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding, my daal baati might have been the best meal I have ever been served. Service was delightful and very professional. 10/10

Food was tasty (stuffed tomato curry and veg raita). However, the garlic naan did not contain garlic and when we asked about it they said that it was the right one. There is an advertisement megaphone outside which is quite annoying when you listen to it for a long time. View on the fort is nice. A fine place for a quick meal before or after visiting the fort.

It is a secret menu by 150 rupies with a nice fort view. People are kind and I was full of this secret menu.

The cafe is in an amazing location with a great view of the fort. The service was great and the food is delightful and reasonably priced, I'll be coming back for sure.

I visited this place 2 weeks back with my cousins. And I want to make sure that this place gets its honest reviews. It was the last day of our trip and our booking at the hotel was over we had a cab in which we had our luggage and our shopping was almost done. Since the rain started to drizzle all of a sudden we wanted to take shelter and sit and relax from our tiring day. That's when we saw The Thar Cafe Restaurant right opposite to the fort. We ordered few cups of chai and snacks and must say the service was indeed quick and also clean. The seating was very homely and colorful with a beautiful view of the fort and the blueish grey sky with music being played behind. I felt I was at someone's terrace. I must say that we needed that time to just relax, chitchat and enjoy the evening since our train was to depart at night. So we asked the owners if we could spend some more time than the usual and they were so kind and so friendly and allowed us to stay a bit longer. We even had them pack us grilled cheese sandwiches for the train which was so yummy and tummy filling. If you ever plan to visit Jaisalmer, you must visit this place at least for a cup of chai.

All the positive reviews got it right 😗 great location really pleasant and clean rooms but the thing that makes the such a good place to stay are the staff moreover the food is delicious 👍👍 Please visit and enjoy the great food and service with family.....
