Beautifully decorated for Christmas,this restaurant served excellent food at a reasonable price with a reasonable portion of food.Loved this place in Jamshedpur,bistupur.Ordered Matka chicken,Lachcha Paratha,masala kulcha and papad.Tasty yummy....

I have been going to this place since childhood and this restaurant is my father's favorite one. The food is good... Service is decent, and wow wow you can look at the renovation they did in the recent year. Just beauty. A must try restaurant ❤️.

Good place to go with family and friends. The food service and ambience is really good. They serve real quick. I have had Chinese, north indian and Italian here. Their drinks are pretty good too. Their starter Paneer Chilli is absolutely delicious. The interior and ambience is also really good. Do try this place for a satisfying visit with your family/friends.

It's no doubt that Novelty is one of the best restaurants in the town. I have been dining here since 2005 and they have undergone renovation multiple times since then. Also they are probably the only restaurant that probably always has a waiting queue! (Supports my claim as oke of the best) I particularly order their north indian which is perfect everytime!

One of the most pocket friendly restaurants in town. Perfect for family and friends lunch/dinner 🍽️. Tikka recipes are top notch. I love the garlic naan they serve here.

Amazing food quality , I have tried their chinese items, probably the best chinese available around bistupur hands down, the Indian starter items like kebabs are 6 piece per plate and it could be better, interior is quite good but a bit cramped around the corners, overall experience is good.

Nice food and taste. Ambience is good. Service is good When we went at 1.30pm, outside waiting is half an hour. Other than this waiting all other things good.

One of the heritage hotels of Jamshedpur, it's fame is well renowned throughout the city. Standing tall and proud since 1948, the ambience and the interiors give a classic but modern feel. The food was amazing. We tried the following dishes: 1. Chicken Tikka Biryani: One of the most highly recommended dishes of this restaurant, the biryani was flavourful, the chicken had that smoky but tender bite to it. Amazing taste. 2. Mutton Biryani: Again, classic biryani with loads of flavour. The mutton chunks were boneless, and were soft and perfectly cooked. And did I also mention that all the biryanis come with aloo (aloo in biryani lovers rejoice!) 3. Chaash: Perfect accompaniment to the biryani, although the biryani did come with raitas. Cool, delicious buttermilk felt refreshing in this hot summer day. 4. Lassi: Sweet lassi, nothing much to add. Tasted great. Overall, the food and ambience is extremely good and loves up to the hype. Also, the dishes are priced quite reasonably and won't burn a hole in your pocket.

This restaurant was one of my favourite restaurant when I was kid (around 12 years ago). Now, I don't know why the food is not same as before, may be because of lockdown??<br/><br/>So, since we are ordering food from zomato, I am observing that instructions are not being followed. I ordered couple of times with same instructions but were never followed. Is there a reason?<br/><br/>Hope Novelty will look into this.

One of the oldest restraunts in jamshedpur but the taste remains the same n quality too remains the best. All cuisines taste good.. Paneer stuffee tikka isa must try

Price and portion and taste was not as previous orders. The quality also should be improved and the restaurant should not be adamant butlisten to customers complaints.

ordered Tom yum soup. It was like a sambhar. No thai ingredients. Spoiled my evening with no assistance from zomato. Serving such quality is like cheating the customers. Remove it from your menu if you dont know what a thai souo is.

The manchurian was undercooked..hence could not eat properly..take care of the cooking instructions..

The mutton biryani ordered was smelling bad...the meat was raw nd coated with haldi...it also smelled like it has become stale. That happened with my last order. Earlier was very satisfied with food from novelty be it dining or delivery....but it was horrible this time.<br/>Could not even eat

Worst taste of murg labadar ordered through Zomato. Gravy has no taste. It was tasting like a sweet dish prepared in milk. Highly disappointed from Novelty.

Novelty is all time favourite to is. Previously food quantity was little less. But now it's ok. Murg makhmali kebab must be tried. The food was really good. A certain recommendation for this restaurant.

Food was far below expectation, waste of money.

A perfect place with good vfm. Located in posh area and still price is affordable. The quantity is good too.I had veg pulao, Malai chicken , kadhai chicken , butter naan, chicken chili.

Novelty <br/>It is a clean pure Indian restaurant serving Indian -  Chinese dishes along with some others cuisines . It is a perfect family dinner type of restaurant known for its quick service. The restaurant provides an environment for family discussions and corporate meetings. So its is a good to go restaurant when one is tired of homemade food and wants a change of taste. Some of the must haves include : manchow soup, paneer starters and baby corn. Chef have to get learn properly how to prepare murg mussalam. In name of Murg mussalam what they served. I request please remove the menu which u don't know to prepare recipe.

Worst service experience. Rude manager and chicken starter(chicken Bam Bam) had unpleasant odor to which they said they use "imported" sauces. No cold drink served even after reminding them multiple times.<br/><br/>Never going again. Not recommended

Me and my cousin went to this place upon recommendation. The food is hyped and surely not the best as zomato reviews go.<br/>For starters we ordered chicken bam bam as starters which had a peculiar odor and blackish gravy. It did not have visual appeal nor did the smell help. Upon asking to manager they said that special “imported” sauce is used making the dish. Giving them benefit of doubt we hogged on but not satisfied by explanation of the bad smell. <br/><br/>After that came masala papad which had sev on it. Not good in taste but it doesn’t count as various restaurants have their own style of masala papad. <br/><br/>Tipping point came when we asked for onions as we had ordered punjabi as main course. They served vinegar onions which was fine. While endlessly waiting for the main course to arrive we finished the onions and requested spring onions to which they reluctantly served in a small plate without lemons.<br/>So we asked and were served. Finally the food arrived and we jumped onto it. Halfway through we ordered Pepsi and chhas and requested them to please hurry as it was spicy. Also said to bring onions as we had completed the 4 slices which they had given. Then to our surprise the manager came and said You’ll be charged for it and they are not complimentary. Fine we said bring them anyway and hurry with the drinks. <br/><br/>Just then he brought the onions and we reminded him of drinks we ordered. Now as we were waiting for it the same guy whom we kept reminding of the cold drink, brought FINGER BOWL while we both had not even completed with our lunch. Dumbstruck by his stupidity we said to cancel the order as we had nearly completed with food. Washed and hands and went straight to billing counter paid and left. They added onion salad in the Bill. <br/><br/>Making sure never to come again. Not recommend even the slightest.

The best in terms of quality. Try stuffed kulcha with chicken lababdar, its delicious. The only things that disappoints me is that sometimes they forget to give raita with biryani and it really hurts man!

The taste and the quantity of the food is good! Service is little bit slow if it gets too much crowded. Ambience is average. Price is also nominal. Overall i would rate 8/10

We had requested for vinegar onion and pickles with our ordered food. Had also instructed the ZOMATO carrier boy for the same. But the same was not sent.

A good place for Icecream and Cake lovers. Novelty Icecream centre and Restaurant is in the heart of the city of Jamshedpur. I visited this outlet yesterday. There were several varieties of icecreams and cakes offered here and all of them were fresh. They even serve an almond flavoured sugar-free icecream. The restaurant offered a casual fine dine ambience. It serves Oriental, Indian and Continental cuisines. Its a good place for Office lunches, family gatherings and hanging out with friends.

I had ordered chilli chicken.very poor food.very high<br/>coating with very very less chicken. very spicy.had high expectations but result was disappointing..

The taste was not as good as of authentic novelty restaurant but still it's one of my favourite in Jamshedpur. It's chicken afghani is really delicious

Ordered Chicken 65, Butter Nun & Chilli Chicken for dinner. The butter Nun was average in taste. A single piece is sufficient for a normal person. The chicken 65 was below average and it was not tasty at all. The gravy inside Chilli chicken was too much light. Too much half cooked onion. It was so bad. Never going to order from this place again.

I have ordered murg bharta with lachcha paratha through zomato. But the quality of lachcha parathas are not up to the mark, rather I would say, was not edible. The parathas are burnt as shown in the picture and are not crispy as expected. The bharta is also with less chicken and with two boiled eggs and more gravy. I thought I have ordered egg masala.<br/><br/>After all when I called the restaurant, they disconnected the call immediately after listening that the food quality is very poor.

If you're foodie and hungry too then this place is for you! We were 4 there on Saturday. Someone guided us to our table, light was not bright and ambiance was quite good! They have vast menu but we choose Indian food! Food was very pocket friendly, neither too cheap nor too expensive & that is the reason this restaurant doing well in Jamshedpur. (In my opinion)<br/><br/>Food was tasty, good quantity and with good quality. So overall we were satisfied with the food and to certain extent with the service!!

Despite number of fine dinning restaurants that have come up in Jamshedpur Novelty still holds the fort and serves the most delicious food in town. Paneer tikka butter masala is to die for.😋

The food was excellent and value for money and the quantity of food was also more with best quality ,I am proud that this restaurant haven't changed the quality, eating food from here since childhood.

Sometimes I think that how people are rating it very high.<br/>It's not much costly but on the other side food is not that much tasty. Overrated!!

We had ordered 10 nos (7 non veg+3veg)biryani,which contains burnt smell/ flavour and egg was also missing from all non veg items. Requesting you to look into this as customer satisfaction and food quality is essential for further orders.

This place is probably is an all-rounder in the steel city, every restaurant has their own speciality, but this one has equal stars be it an indian dish like Chicken Curry, or be it Mughal dish like Biriyani, Murg Musallam or be it Chineese like Garlic Chicken, Shezwan Rice or Noodles they have it all. A must try place to dine.

Mostly busy as located centrally in prime hub of the city. Not big on ambience and space compared to other restaurants of the city but the food especially non-veg dishes (Murg Taka Tak was delicious) are worth checking out. Had a not so flattering experience with the veg options though. The waiting time is bit on the higher side and needs improvement.

I think the indian cuisine is decent especially with the chicken there can be improvements the staters r good but non veg starters can see more improvement

This is a very old food place in Jamshedpur. Tried chinese and indian food. Kabab was good. Biryani and prawn masala was so so. The chinese food was very tasty. Mocktail with kiwi was good. Service was pathetic.

I have been here,ordered occasionally on Zomato from here, But i think they do not care for their food quality anymore, They just care for making money. Such bland food, I never thought Novelty would steep so low to make money. I am never ordering from here again online. Before going ahead consider my opinion “You have been warned”.

Novelty has been pne of the oldest restaurant in Jamshedpur still the quality remains the same. It's priced very much reasonably and the quality of the food is really good. They have very good menu ro choose from. Ambience of the place is quite good.
