Nice restaurant with excellent location… They are located very close to kannur railway station and is also very helpful for all travellers as they have both bakery and restaurant We had ordered 1 meals and thalassery biriyani for lunch…The meals were affordable and also tasty. The fish curry served with was also excellent…The chicken biriyani wasn’t worth the money..I felt it as rather expensive and not upto the mark… They have variety of snacks also . Their egg puffs and kumbalappam were really delicious…Their shawarma is also amazing

Went here for the second time after a few years gap.. service was very quick and people were friendly to suggest.. items in menu appeal as per your cravings..each dish is available is half and full plate..so choosing many items becomes easy ..we choose kadai chicken and Butter Nan and also charcoal Mandi (alfahm). Taste was okay !! Bill was very reasonable.

All variety types food available for lunch and dinner. Nadan chicken curry was not good as expected. parking is available.bit crowed for dinner hours.

Nothing but a clean and neat ambience... Whenever visit Kannur I prefer MRA for lunch... Very well maintained and hygienic.. Food was so Good wich makes re-visit.. plenty parking lot and located near to Railway Station...

We were in Kannur for the new year weekend ( 31st Dec 2021 ) and were looking for an authentic Kerala cuisine restaurant where you have veg and non-veg food options . We got to know about this restaurant from the resort we were staying at the Thottada beach in Kannur . We were not disappointed.  Our appetite for good Kerala food was fully catered for in this Restaurant. This is situated adjacent to Kannur railway station. I heard there are other branches located in various parts of Kerala.  This a/c restaurant is on the 1st floor of this complex and the bakery is located on the ground floor. We arrived at lunch time ( 1 PM) . The place was really crowded like the Empire hotels in Bangalore . After waiting for 15 mins we got a place. The staff helped us get a table , and he also mentioned that this place will be normally thronged during lunch time. The staff helped us choose MRA special food items from the expansive menu. We placed an order for authentic Kerala cuisine food like Puttu, Appam, Mutton Nadan soup, Veg Stew,  Thalassery Biriyani , and MRA special falooda. All of them were delectable. Our appetite was highly satisfied.  Each and every item was properly made and tasted very good. The restaurant has a handwash place which is clean, and also has a washroom which was moderately clean.It has a parking space in the basement which can accommodate around 20 cars. Overall, it was a very good experience. If you are in Kannur and are craving to have authentic Kerala food, then please visit this restaurant.

Thalassery chicken biryani was good, not up to the Paragon, but still worth a try. Tea was also good. Biriyani will be served after 12pm only

MRA Bakery and restaurant must be one of the most popular places if not the top most food destination in Kannur town. The Arabian specials are famous here. The place which was quiet during the pandemic has now bounced back and jthings are normal and everything is back in business. The crowd is thronging the restaurant like the food old days. In fact it is over flowing. Their bakery is another area which must be recommended. India sweets, Arabian sweets, western desserts are very very popular here. The Baklava famous Turkish sweets which is available here is of good quality so are the other Arabian sweets. The pastries are little expensive and I was shocked at the pricing and the quality for that kind of pricing is not there. The India food choices are many too. Includes the Kerala Malabar Biriyani, North Indian food, South Indian food, Kerala food are popular too. It is situated right next to the Kannur Railway station so it is hard to miss. When you are planning a visit during peak hours please try to go early as the place is filled with customers during peak hours like lunch or dinner time. Lunch time is more crowded. One of the best breakfast menu in terms of quality and variety is there in MRA Kannur.

Possibly the best prawn tawa fry. The fish fry, falooda and biriyani were all quite exceptional too. The veg stew in comparison to their outlet at Taliparamba was less impressive.

MRA Bakery and Restaurant (Kannur) Kerala is located very near the Kannur railway station. While my last vacation visited the outlet with my sister. Before writing about food I want to first comment about the additional qualities of this restaurant which makes it a perfect place for foodies. Amazing food plus Very huge seating organisations, simple but nice ambience, Friendly and accommodating staff and Very Immeasurable service. Really liked it and highly recommended .. Definitely will visit again. Ordered: Chicken Shawarma and Falooda (Burj al Arab) No doubt food was freshly prepared and the presentation was also good .. All the dishes were amazing and full of taste Overall good food...

It is a very nice hotel, and there is also a bakery attached to it. This hotel is very close to Kannur Railway Station and has a good parking area in the underground section. Anyone can park here for Rs 20, and if you are going to MRA, they will refund the money. We ordered 3 meals, one chicken biryani, and 2 fish fry, and paid Rs 649. The biryani was tasty, and its packaging was good; I liked it. The fish fry was also tasty. However, the meals were average. They provide payasam and moru with the meals. The payasam was very tasty and not too sweet, but the moru was mixed with water, which was not good. The atmosphere of this hotel was clean, and the waiters' behavior was good; they were very fast. There were two power cuts during lunchtime

MRA Bakery and Restaurant is located at a walkable distance from Kannur Railway Station. So it is a great boon for the passengers travelling in and out of Kannur through trains. The bakery is located in the ground floor and the best quality sweets of Kannur is available here with great hygiene. The MRA restaurant is located in the first floor with both a/c and non-a/c restaurants. The restaurant is spacious to accommodate a moderate crowd. The food is really tasty and with good quantity. We tried out kerala porottas, chilly chicken, appam, Kuttanadan fish curry, ghee rice, chicken-65, tea and black tea. The food was excellent without any negative comments. The quality, quantity and taste of the food we ordered were highly appreciable from the customer point of view. The only drawback we found was the staff taking the order and delivering it was only one person. He was busy with other customers as he was the only person taking orders and we had to call him many times to take the order. It took him more than 20 minutes to give us the menu and 10 more minutes to take the order. We even complained the person at the cash counter than no one is attending our table to take the order. After placing the order the service was really quick to deliver it. The ordered beverages were also delivered quickly. They accept cash as well as card payments. The pricing of the food we ordered were also reasonable. The restaurant is clean and tidy but not organized properly as we could find drinking water bottles stocked near to the dining table hindering space. The hand wash area and toilets are also neat and clean. There is average ambience inside the restaurant and the restaurant is well lit. Overall it was a good experience dining at MRA restaurant.

One of the best options for food in Kannur. Good ambience, located in the heart of the city right next to the railways station. Great choice for food including Arabian, Indian, regional as well as Chinese dishes. Love how they experiment even with fruit juice combinations to make unique flavours.

Extremely disorganized and untidy place to dine. Had to wait and request 5 to 6 servers to clean the table which was given to us. The table was finally cleaned after 15 minutes with some of the servers expecting us to eat at the table filled with leftovers. The service at this place was quite good when they started but now it looks like they are doing a favour by serving customers.The worst service ever, Never again....

I would say i liked the food a lot. I had been there with 2 of my friends last thursday. And placed an order for 3 biryani and mutton raan. After the food was served i realised mra has got the most delicious raan available in the city. And the service were good too.

Went MRA for a dinner. Waited little time to get a seating. When I was about to sit, a staff was saying "go go"(as person make noice to frighten). When I tried to look what was there, I saw a small rat where the cleaned plates are kept. It was standing on the plates. Service person was acting as it is usual in the hotel. And it was inside the AC restaurant, so what will be the condition of kitchen. Seeing this My family and I went out without having food from MRA It was a small rat, so his parents might also be there. Please be quotient when having food from MRA, Kannur.

Worst restaurant, I have never seen................

Had chicken biriyani today evening and unfortunately chicken was stinking. When I informed this to the supplier he said he will talk to his boss and come back . Later he said so far nobody complain and biriyani was opened at 12 Pm . ( I had biriyani 5 30) . I have told him to ask quality checker to taste or smell the biriyani and also advised him that not to take order for biriyani today . He said anyway it's over and it was the last portion . Initially he was telling and blaming that it smell because it was lagoon chicken they use for biriyani . When I said him tat it's not the first time I eat lagoon chicken , I had many times from MRA Kannur , Sallara , and Calicut paragon they all use lagoon chicken . Funniest part was supplier told me tat if anything happen please come back �. Not sure whether they run hospital as well or tie up with any hostpital near by . Anyway it was my first bad experience from my 10+ visits at MRA Kannur .
