Review Pandit's Mithai Food Court & More - Kanpur

This is quite old and reputed vegetarian restaurant in Kanpur, where the food is prepared without onion and garlic. We took meals at the first floor portion. The ambience at this floor is Rajasthani. The ambience must have been excellent in its time, but now it does need a retouch. Service was good. The food preparation is also nice.

I enjoyed idli sambhar, wada and dosa here. Though not happy with the taste of sambhar. They also have a few gourmet and grocery items for sale. You may check. Over all they offer good food. Recommended Ps: though it was clean and maintained there were many house flies which is something they can improve on.

Best only Veg restaurant in kanpur. Food without onion and garlic can be so delicious 😋...one should have a dinner here without a single thought. Desi ghee Jalebis are NVR to forget 🤗

Hotel Pandit , Kanpur is a pure vegetarian , bang on main road. Quality of the food is good and expensive . Self service in Grand floor where you can get sweets and savories and southindian tiffin varities in addition to local specialities. First floor you can get North Indian style lunch as well as other type of food items. Overall good restaurant and cleanliness should be improved.

The rooms are well appointed, the interior is very geometric and feels unique though not all may like it. The staff is very friendly and helpful and may provide an earlier checkin if rooms available too. The food is delicious, the breakfast spread is exhaustive and satisfying.

Reviewing - Masala Dosa , Plain Dosa , Samosa , Dhokla & Moong dal kachori . . 🌈 DOSA - The plain dosa was authentic & scrumptious. It came along with coconut chutney , red chutney & sambhar . Each item on the plate was super tempting . The dosa was huge and crunchy . The chutneys were topped with curry leaves and mustard seeds and the Sambhar was a proper bang on South Indian tadka . The masala dosa was equally good . Recommendation- Yes ! This is a must if you don’t want to try their Thalis . . Price - ₹120/- Plain dosa - ₹150/- Masala Dosa . 🌈SAMOSA - It was perfect . The dry fruits in the potato stuffing went really well together . It was fresh and there was no oily touch to the fingers . It was perfectly fried . The only thing I did not like was the saunth meethi chutney it was so damn meethi like a chaasni . I really hope they improve on that . 😌 . Recommendation- A yes for the Samosa and no for the chutney . . Price - 20/- per piece . 🌈DHOKLA - It was moist and okay ! Not a wow delicacy . I have eaten much better dhokla’s in town . Again it came along with their meethi chutney which was a great turn down 👎🏻. . Recommendation- No 👎🏻 . Price - ₹10/- per piece . 🌈KACHORI - This was in perfect shape and crunchy , one can eat it alone also without any side dip . It came along with a paneer aloo matar sabzi which I really did not like . The flavours were too simple even the salt was less it was not at all spicy . There was no pickle to balance the simple sabzi . I feel they can add a green chutney and Raita to it . . Recommendation - 3 / 5 ( smjhdaar ko ishaara kaafi hai ) . Price - ₹25/- per piece . Service - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the staff was too good . Ambiance- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food and ambiance is amazing its just service which is very slow but the rajasthani dance performance and music covered up for the trouble we faced by slow service and made our visiting there worth we enjoyed alot.If service was not slow I would have given 5/5 star ⭐ rating. Please improve on your service to make your restaurant on the top.

this is a great spot for quick bites. It offers a variety of preparations on the menu from Street Food, cuisines at reasonable prices. It is one of the best-recommended restaurants of the area and manages to attract family diners, which helps increase the place's appeal.

I ordered tex mex sandwich. The packaging was awful. Paper from the box got stick to cheese on bread. they put bread on another bread so all the four slices got messed. I threw it.

I had ordered a Chinese combo meal and would say that it was great in taste. The Manchurian balls can be rated 3.5/5 but the noodles were splendid in taste. The meal was worth the cost.

Very good ambience. Traditional Live music playing while you eat your food. Just one flaw that they make this tradiotional indian food without onion. So that doesnt really goes with my taste. But an awesome place to go at during navratras.

After giving this highly talked about place multiple chances, I want to make it known that this restaurant never fails to disappoint. Quality and taste do not match with the price. Recent example: we got 3 executive thalis packed and were utterly disgusted to find that ALL the Naans were burnt on one side and raw on the other. Rice tasted stale as well. Additionally, bhindi was undercooked. And nothing else on that executive thali was worth praising. Is this the standard of the "executive" thali that gets served to special guests? I'm rating it with one star just because the scale is not low enough.

Visited this hotel cum sweets shop last week. On ground floor you’ll find chaat and sweets counters. You have to park your vehicle on roadside. If you want air conditioned full menu restaurant then you have to go up on first floor. Restaurant has a good rajasthani entrance. It’s full rajasthani theme restaurant. Here you can enjoy live rajasthani folk music. Waiters are dressed in rajasthani dresses. We ordered Shekhavati thali and some paneer item ( which was tasteless). You can give it a try. Over all- good experience 😊👍

I have received an open thali where all Daal & sabzi were mixed..really it was bad experience. I didn’t accept due to poor open unhygienic packaging..it has been 3 days but I haven’t received my refund..I will never order anymore from zomato.

Worst food ever, they have lower there standard. I visited Kanpur and heard a lot about Pandit's sweet shop and went there to enjoy evening snacks and ate some of the sweets and namkeen dishes .. all were nice .. the samosa they serve is bigger in size filled with cashew and raisin..taste is nice .. sweets are nice and genuine in taste.

Pandit's has been my family's favourite since a pretty long time. Hats off to their lip smacking food just because they cook in pure desi ghee! The stuffing was totally apt I mean it was well enough to make you call yo' self *Being overstuffed* <br/>Mom went for sambhar vada that was quite good. The chutneys were ah-mazingggg.<br/>Pandit ki chaat ki totally the ''talk of the town'' it tasted really superb that I ended up ordering one more plate of it. <br/>Dahi bhalla's were pretty decent as well hence i would love visiting again and again.<br/>The service was superfast as usual be it a weekday or weekend!!

The authentic rajasthani food served at first floor and downstares is to eat all cuisine , raj kachori, mirchi bada, kheer these all are great. Even the rate is affordable. You just cant finish a single thali alone here.

It’s a best place for Rajasthani food. As according to the name it directly introduces you to the Rajasthani ambience. We have daal Bati choorma. It was so tempting and full of flavours. We definitely will be going there again for daal bati. At the end we had this so tasty kheer. All in all we loved the place in terms of food and ambience as well.

Chokho marwad on first floor of pandits is a lovely family restaurant! As the name suggests it takes you directly to the Rajasthani ambience, live music being played is an added charm.We had stuffed papad kabab sort of thing in starters which was nice, kanji vada was a different yet nice taste for tastebuds, in main course methi Makka malai being in sweeter side and Ajmeri dum aloo being a spicy one made a great combo for main course, Rajwadi pulao was ok ok. But the end with their special kheer was commendable! Too refreshing!❤️

There are two sections ground floor for fast food, sweets and icecream and other one is on first floor for dining. I prefer khasta and pyaj kachori and Dosa. Thali is also very delicious without using onion garlic. Mostly food items are good in taste. Only few combo meal are not so tasty. Ambiance is good and staff is also good. They also give special discount to defence employees. Overall good and value for money.

Have been here since childhood almost last fifteen years.Earlier it was the place where we urged parents to take us now it has evolved into something where I will never ever visit even the owner pays me two times the order value.<br/>Gradually the quality has detoriated badly rest icing on cake is no garlic onion waiter don't bother and you will get only one glass water irrespective how thirsty you are getting your glass refilled is a task in itself. I won't recommend to purchase sweets near festival. I had a real bad experience. Here I am posting the pictures of sweets I got on Diwali, it was all covered with fungus.. But the good part is, the replaced when we complaint about it.

The pandit's aren't just the light to the pockets but they taste equally good.<br/>South Indian reasonable and delicious one.<br/>In short value for money, taste and above all fresh food throughout the day.

So the food is great and it's self service on the ground floor. The seating on the first floor has adequate ambience and is well lighted. However there's no lift or escalator to go up, that really is an issue for those unable for various reasons. Its crazy busy in.the evenings and weekends so go in time if you don't wanna be in a waiting line.

Well this is one place which i have visited since i was a kid. I have been going to this place for almost more than 15 years now. I have seen it evolve over the years. But the food quality remains the same... That is great. Good food..affordable prices.

A very nice place, if you want pure vegetarian food. Taste, ambiance, value for money are excellent. Just... don't expect services to be polite, specially at the restaurant. Otherwise for food, sweets, snacks... but now services at the upper restaurant is very bad. Actually it’s worst. No managerial staff or the others are attentive.

The place is great with awesome sweets and namkeen. The kachori thali was yummy and plain dhokla was awesome. The paneer dhokla was something different and loved it. The samosa was good. The ladoo was great and mini gulab jamuns were delicious. I bought lal mirch achaar which was also good. The service was good.

This place is near main railway station of Kanpur. It is pure veg restaurant. You can order Thali with unlimited food (Limited menu). Staff is very good at service. Ambience is good with background music.
