Awesome experience visiting here. The owner is extremely courteous and hospitable. Me and my friend had two large chaas, one multigrain bun makhan and one pineapple bun makhan. Must try on your Kanpur visit.

Awsome food quaility and with huge taste. If you want a healthy breakfast you can visit must.

One of the best buttermilk in town, Pure and tasty too. Also try their white butter with varities of bread. Pocket friendly too.

Just visited kanpur, India. The first thing that’s on my list here is Mattha and bread with Makkhan. There’s something very unique about them which brings me back and gives some nostalgia of my time spent here. And not to forget the owner, very humble guy and good to talk to. Must visit!

Amazing Breakfast in kanpur, everything is self made either bread or white butter, variety of bread options from white to multi-grain, sweet & salt, server the breakfast with a humble approach.. love the story of guy he's a head of architecture department in kanpur but love of food is more ..

The butter bun tastes really good. There's a variety of buns and bread to choose from. Buttermilk is served fresh and is a must-have. Also, the food cart is hygienic and there's a hand sanitizer kept for the customers.

I used to go pahalwan ji mattha when my coaching shift was morning for their refreshing mattha and range of breads but my coaching has now shifted from morning to evening so i dont get a chance to get this awasome food but now pahalwan ji mattha is on zomato delivery i orderd multigrane bread and masala chaach and got it well packed as pahlwan ji mattha known for.<br/>One thing i noticed that after having pahlwan ji mathha it feels like im in my village 😍.

As the name says Pahalwan ji ka special mattha yes it is really health and special. I tried butter milk and Pahalwan ji special bread butter both were awesome. This is the best place to have bread butter. It should have more outlets in kanpur.😃😃

It delights me to see traditional food items are keeping pace with fast changing world. Since my childhood whenever I visited Foolbagh or Nanarao Park (Also Known as Company Bagh) Bread Makkhan and Mattha used to be my breakfast and pehelwan ji was always there to serve it. Off late he has increased the prices of items he serves and justifies it by saying that to maintain purity and quality he is bound to do that.

Good breakfast for those summery mornings. They serve bread with white butter and buttermilk. Simply delicious. Very clean and hygienic as compared to the other ones. This is one of the specialities of Kanpur.

Finally get thr b4 12nd got a mattha nd Makkhan Bread... mattha is really good feels lyk gaon wala Mattha nd bread butter is also nice bt Makkhan is.not in good consistency its much viscous.. a lil high on price bt all total nice breakfast experience.....

the quality of this stall is really outstanding. buttermilk very delicious. bread butter is very yummy and because its low fat butter so i can have it without any tension. its only available in kanpur. "pahalwan ji" is the best breakfast outlet in morning.

buttermilk and bread butter ultimate breakfast for kanpurites and they are serving since 1962 and maintained his quality. the taste of buttermilk which i taste here i can not compare from another place. its really different. in my opinion "Pahalwan ji" is the best breakfast point in budget. its healthy and tasty too. and the best thing is they providing home delivery facility now.
