Review Choolaah - Kanpur

I visit here just to have dinner because me and my sister got hungry during shopping. There staff is very Nice and professional. The ambience is very good with pebble and sand flooring with lightning of filament bulbs. There food is very delicious and tasty. I recommend this place to everyone as they providing quality fooding at reasonable rates.

The place is good for meetings and hangouts..but the lighting is little dim and yes the place is not so pocket friendly...the music was good and the location of this place is also easily reachable...

This small restaurant with nice ambience. There i went for lunch with my friends . We ordered kadai paneer, paneer tikka masala, dal tadka, and biryani..... the taste of food was much better everything in food was so much perfect.... and the price was also average... i find it budgeted...

Time for some SPRING ROLLS and CHILLY GARLIC NOODLES!!! cause I was craving for them since a long time ....And finally gratified myself at @choolaah I didn't love much stuffs there but yeah this will be in my hit list of spring rolls People who love momos will definitely love them as they did stuffings similar to those of a momo.. There was a little delay in our order. But they gave us commentary lemonade as a gesture. Not much items for vegetarian, until you are looking for something for full meal.

great place and food was good. staff was well behaved and mannered. went for dinner and we ordered paneer tikka masala, dal tadka, naan, garlic naan and butter naan. although we have to wait for approx 20 mins for the food but the taste was worth the wait. prices are okay according to taste. garlic naan is just amazing.....!! loved the music. 😁

Really recommended. The biryani was really tasty. The tandoori chicken was juicy and moist. The ambience and presentation were great. However the service was bit slow.

Visited this place on 31st night, firstly they took too long to bring the order and then brought raw chicken, shit in taste. We still visited it twice thinking it might have been a festive day, today as we visited choolah again they took 1 hour to bring the order and their management as well as service is ridiculous and food is also not up to the mark.<br/>If you want to spoil ur special occassions, visit this place.

Worst place to be in went out there for lunch nd ordered shahi paneer they took almost 1.5 hrs to cook and after that bought a total shit dish . There was just water for the sake of gravy mixed with pieces of panner .

Talking about ambience, it's quite fine. But, the food is majorly poor. I remember ordering Shahi Paneer and what we got was a watery gravy, thin gravy and immensely pale and tasteless. On asking the management staff, he told us that we make this type of food only. Damn! Please do not give this place even a minute of your precious time.

Most pathetic and disrespectful restaurant ever encountered.YeSterday I ordered one veg party thali from this restaurant at around 9 p.m(delivery time was showing up as 35-40min ),the food arrived after 10:30 p.m(that too when they charged Rs .50 extra for delivery). When I asked bill from the delivery guy , he denied saying that the restaurant does not issued any bill to him.Later on when I open the parcel I found one item missing as promised in itinerary which was present in menu.To my amazement when I called the restaurant ,the guy who picked the phone was very carefree person.He told me nothing to worry it happens usually that something or other get missed.He will compensate me some other day.My question is that the how can a person who had waited desperately for food be compensated with something on some another day.<br/>Very disappointing experience and irresponsible behaviour of the restaurant staff.Food too when received was not hot.Attached is the pic for restauranter to identify what's missing in the thali.

What a disappointment and downfall it has been. Went there 6 months ago, the food was awesome. Went 2 months ago, the naanza was great but the parda biriyani was not upto the mark, and then went there two days ago and we were in for a shock. There were so many insects flying that lights had to be switched off. The galawati kebab was sour and the paratha was hard. There was hardly any chicken or mutton in our chicken and mutton naanza. The gravy of the nihari tasted like tomato soup. Though we did not reach late (around 8pm) but the firni was unavailable. By the end of the dinner our entire group felt disgusted.

Got opportunity to visit choolah Lajpat Nagar. Location is good. Space little congested. Food quality is good but as per rates it is at higher side. Service is polite and with sence to guests. Wooden Interior quite effective. One take take chance. Still quite scope of improvement. Hope for next time .

I've been getting suggestions from alot of mates to check this place out so i finally visited this place over a family dinner . But the most value for money and excusite thing that i found was the FAMILY NAAN i guess this is the only place which serves a naan of this size which is easily enough for two to three people with normal appetite. Well let's just tell you about food according to my orders :-<br/>.<br/>1- HONEY CHILLI POTATO :- perfectly cooked. Right amount of honey was used. Adequately spicy and sweet.<br/>2- CHILLI PANEER DRY :- loved this one. the pieces of paneer were crispy as anything . The veggies were not over done . Most hyped non-veg place in Kanpur and it seems that you'll have an awesome non-veg food here but that's not true at all, as per the high price tag quality is not that great and food tastes average. Ordered malai tikka and they served a totally different think, it looks like masala tikka type and when i asked them they said at choolah you'll have different experience and this an opposite of malai tikka, what the hell was that? Malai tikka means malai tikka and it should be creamy and white in colour, don't know what the hell they're making though the parda biryani was good, One can go to have biryani stuff otherwise choolah is worthless.

We visited this place for lunch and ordered honey chilli potatoes, chicken tikka, paneer butter masala, lacchcha paratha and concluded it with their special Phirni. Experience on 9th May 2018- 1 pm to 3 pm - My mom went to this place for a get together with 10 of her friends. Inspite of pre ordering everything 15 days before, food was not prepared as per order. Food was served very late and cold. Dal tadka was booked and they said we will serve dal choolah because we have prepared that only. After serving food, roti came in after another 15-20 mins. Had ordered phirni for 10 people. They served it to 9 people and said "kam pad gayi, ek gulab jamun lelo". Waiter was extremely rude and said these mistake happen , it's not a big deal if we prepared dal choolah instead of dal tadka. ( Mind it, every thing was pre-ordered 15 days back). There seemed to be no manager just a guy sitting on a laptop not saying anything to the waiter. Upon saying that we are not going to pay 400 per plate for a ridiculous service, he said you can just pay 300 then.

Choolaah is one gem of restaurants that a very sparse population knows of! Best experience so far be it with family or friends because Everything out there is just next to perfect. They have two outlets both located in the crown alleys of the town. My personal favourite is the one situated in lajpat nagar because of it’s peaceful environment though I’ve visited both.

Visited this place with some expectations after food was served expectations shattered. We ordered chicken chow chow. Taste was not upto the mark. Staff interrupts a lot no matter how many times you say you will order after you finish ordered food. They just keep asking. Not recommend. Price is high too but yes ambience is good.<br/><br/>After management response we again visited this place and again expectations shattered. This time we ordered Indian dishes, namely Chicken lollipop<br/>Chicken mumtaz, Roti, 2x feesh lime soda 1x virgin mojito. Our total bill was 1771. But again disappointed. A must try.<br/><br/>2) Paneer Tikka Nanza - something new, a naan in style of a pizza with amazing topping.<br/><br/>3) Subz Parda Biriyani - Speciality of this place. Tasted really really good.<br/><br/>4) Paneer Birbali- gravy made with mash of Kajus. Tasted really good. A must try too with naan.<br/><br/>Altogether, very happy with the food and the place in a decent price.
