Review Pangong Restaurant - Karu

Majid Attar
On the way to Leh/Manali. Serves veg tood with a few Tibetan cuisine varieties. Thukpa is nice. The prices are affordable

We went to the last stall in the series of stalls. A young lady managed this dining place all by herself. Pretty big menu and everything she cooks and serves by herself is very much appreciable. We've ordered skyu, which is local pasta dish, wherein pasta is substituted by tiny wheat patties. Believe me, it was delicious. Also we've ordered butter coffee, which also tasted good. Overall nice experience. I'll urge everyone to at least buy something from these restaurants as they are totally dependent on your arrival. They live there in extreme hostile climate, no internet facility or TV, improper connectivity, etc.

Great place. Small and nice. They have an open kitchen, have all required emergency food items. Great food and quick service. The restaurants in these areas are pure veg and egg only due to the high altitude. But very nice service and really helpful people

It is a very nice place to eat in pangong lake. They provide a wide variety of snacks and meal such as chinese, indian etc. Along with tea and coffee. We had their aloo Paratha, chowmin, hot n sour soup and fried rice. Every food iteam is delicious in terms of taste and quantity is also good enough.
ANIKET WAGHMARE
One of the largest national park..It is in Ladakh..Good place to find Ibex, snow leopard,Marmots..At an average altitude above 10000 feet..it is covered with Snow..It is unexplored at many places and provide ideal trekking and mountaineering opportunities... Pristine and clear streams flow here..Be prepared and get acclimatize before coming here... Very scanty population present inside it...

Great place. Hot tea and local khichri made the day. On the way to Pyongyang, it is very conveniently located with good sitting place and nice hearted owners. While relaxing, one gets a nice view of mountains around and that adds to the charm of this place. Must stop.

It is located in kharu village main market. It is almost 36 km away from leh main city in the east direction. Here almost all restaurants you will not get non veg food and pangong restaurant is in one of them. Here you get one of the best vegetarian foods. It includes Chinese momo , chowmin etc.

This highway dhaba is quite popular for its veg momos n thukpa. They also serve indian food like dal roti. The market of kharu on the highway restricted restaurant of serving non vegs. Only complain is that there can be more clean n higiene of the restaurant.

We visited during the essential break. Here porters register for onward journey. The view from the place is awesome with mountains at a distance and a very good tarred road in middle of nothing. Restaurants are selling eatables and other stuff.
