Delicious home cooked Keralan food and cooking lessons!! I’ve been travelling India for 2 months and this was one of my favourite meals so far. I had the fish mango curry and it was so tasty I came back the next day for a cooking class. Mary and her husband are lovely and so accommodating, and you can taste the love in each dish - all made with fresh ingredients. Would recommend 100% :)

Don't go if you want fancy interiors and tastless food. Go with all your heart open, because this place offers one of the best hosts, cook, service and food.Tried fish mango curry, which was mouth melting and chicken in coconut curry. Both of the dishes were amazing.

Wow. The best meal we have had so far, and we have had a lot of good local food. We have plain basmati, mango fish, pea and cashew nut curry and a garlic naan. The fish and curry had a good depth of flavour and we asked for normal/local spice and it had the perfect amount of tingling heat. Unlike some other garlic naan, it was more subtle, and it didn't overpower the dishes. We will come again to try other dishes.

Everything was very tasty and delicious. Plus that you’re gaining some proper knowledge of cooking good authentic Kerala dishes. Would recommend.

We had chapathi and chicken kuruma at this restaurant were a delightful combination. The chapathi was soft and perfectly cooked, while the chicken kuruma was rich and flavorful, with just the right balance of spices. The dish was served hot and was a satisfying meal. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious homely food in kochi.

The best authentic restaurant in fort kochi!! Mary’s kitchen is a family run restaurant, so expect delicious food made with love. We came for lunch and had a delicious meal which made us come back 2 days later to do the cooking class - couldn’t recommend this class enough! Mary teacher you to cook 5 dishes which you then get to eat once finished. If you have time, and want to learn how to cook some delicious dishes with a lovely host - come to Mary’s kitchen!

Had such a nice experience taking a cooking class with Mary! On request she provided me with a full vegetarian class learning to cook 5 dishes. All food was super fresh and very homely. Her explanations were very clear and it was so nice to learn from her

I ate lunch here last month just before Christmas. A wonderful place, quiet, and rustic. It was a well made, lunch of fish mango curry with rice on the side. I almost felt I was eating in someone's home, everything tasted healthy and hygienic.

Good place. They are providing high quality, tasty food. Authentic preparation using fresh products. The table arrangement and atmosphere are minimalistic. The wash and toilet facilities are well maintained. I recommend this place if you are somewhere in fortkochi.

Excellent home cooked food in Kochi! We came back two nights in a row, then booked in for a cooking class. What an amazing experience. Mary’s food is simple and so tasty - she is a great teacher and we will definitely be able to replicate the recipes at home. If you are in Kochi, I highly recommend you stop by for dinner and do a class if you can. Fish mango curry and prawn Molly were highlights for us.

3 weeks in India and this was my favourite place and food. I had the fish pollichatchu in banana leaves and it was delicious. Staff could not have been friendlier, sat upstairs nice breeze blowing by the water. Good value for money, recommend.

Enjoyed a tasty mango fish curry. Service was friendly and price was good. Rooftop restaurant on the busy main road. Would be nice to serve Kerala rice instead of only basmati to have a more authentic local meal.

Awesome experience! The fish molly was delicate, fresh-lime soda I had two! 😁 Veg fried rice also good but the highlight was their garlic naan! Such smooth, tasty and well spiced Naan I hadn't tasted in whole India and I ate a few of those already ;) The staff is super sweet! Also the only Indian restaurant so far, where if you ask for MILD or NON SPICY, you actually get it. So, if you like it at least a little spicy, ask for spicy ;) because they are used to us Europeans and do the non spicy really non spicy ;) I've overheard a Holland couple complaining that it's not spicy for them :D whfn they asked for non spicy. 🤔 🤣

Truly amazing gem of a kitchen in fort Cochi. We walked past several times without really noticing Mary’s kitchen but decided to dine here on our final night in fort Cochi and we were certainly not disappointed. Lovely family run restaurant by a very welcoming & kind family. Food was delicious would strongly recommend their fish pollichathu and all veggie dishes were fantastic too. We will be revisiting next time we are in Cochi for sure.

If you’ve found this place, you’ve found the best place for food in Fort Cochi. After our first meal here, we came back every night for 3 nights. The food is awesome. So tasty, delicious. All the words you can think. People are amazing. Do not miss.

What a kind, nice space. Lovely people, cooking from the heart. Delicious food, great value for money. Quiet nice roof terrace. I went here multiple times, being one of the most authentic cooking I had in India. I went for a cooking class as well, and I can highly recommand. It is wonderful being with Mary and her family in the kitchen, observing how to cook some delicious meals, and afterwards eat it all!

Today I had in Mary's Kitchen the best chilly chicken of my life...hmmm super yummy. 😊 We had a nice talk with Martin, Mary's husband who told me about the traditional Kerala food. Later Mary showed me her kitchen, the "secret chamber of the masterpieces", where they give cooking courses for those who want to learn how to make these delicious South Indian dishes. The best place for foodies to learn, cook, eat and enjoy. 😄
