Review Bubble Cafe - Kochi (Cochin)

One might think that this cafe is attached to a 5-star hotel so it should be exorbitantly expensive but that's not the case. The waiting staff are really nice and respectful. The ambience is really good and if you are lucky enough to get a table by the window, you could get spend your time with some people-watching. The only downside is we couldn't find any toilets inside the cafe. You need to step out of the cafe, cross the reception hall and use the hotel guest's toilets which are very clean by the way.

I had the opportunity to visit the Bubble Cafe at the Gateway Taj Hotel recently with my family. The atmosphere was inviting and the music was enjoyable. The service was also great. However, I was a bit disappointed with the food. The spread was average but the taste was just okay. I would recommend the Bubble Cafe for a few drinks or a relaxed dinner, but not necessarily for a full meal. That being said, it is a good place to go with friends and family to enjoy some time together.

Bubble Cafe at Marine Drive in Taj offers a delightful experience for bubble tea lovers. With a scenic waterfront view and a wide selection of well-crafted bubble teas, it's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a refreshing drink. The friendly staff and inviting atmosphere add to the overall charm of the cafe. However, it can get crowded during peak times, so visiting during off-peak hours is recommended for a more relaxed experience.

Reasonable price, I've only tried the breakfast buffet. It was in the end of last year i guess(2020). I really Wanted to review it since then. We were a group of people. The place is so peaceful and connected with nature. You can feel it the moment you step in the restaurant and see the interior. Having a coffee /tea with a view from those windows means a lot to me. Staffs seemed generous and courteous. Choices were limited but still they managed to arrange everything we were looking for. Kudos to the team. Keep up with the great work.

The hotel is just ok.. honestly it doesn't feel like a Taj hotels property. They overcharge you for a room with a so called Harbor view which isn't worth it. The restaurant (Bubble Cafe) is rather very good. The staff is very courteous and supportive. Food is very good with nice clean interiors.

I have been going to Bubble Cafe off and on since the last two decades. It’s always delivered on its promise of consistency in food quality and service. For business travellers, the breakfast spread is a really good mixture of typical, often mundane stuff and the exotic. It’s a good place to also have a drink in the evening, although one must say that they close far too soon. The seafood is often very delicately prepared and the finger food is great too

We ate here twice in 5 nights! The food is super great. We had all the kerela food as recommended by the staff and it was all amazing. The tiger prawns, the allepi curry and much more. We also tried the soups which were tasty and fish fry. Our waiter Harikumar was awesome! We got the biryani but as north Indians it wss super different to what we are used to and tasted better in combination with the curries. Highly recommend!

Good spacious restaurant inside the Taj Gateway restaurant in Cochin. On the groundfor by the side of the back waters in Cochin. A normal multi cuisine restaurant. Nothing about Kerala. Another restaurant in the hotel serves Japanese Chinese and Thai food. Also has a well stocked bar.
