Review Bloomsbury's Boutique Cafe And Artisan Bakery - Kochi (Cochin)

Vinay Kumar
My first review about this place which doesn't need any introduction. Although I've been here before never reviewed it that time. This time I didn't wanted to miss that. So we ordered pastas. Both were good. Service was also good. They don't serve steak anymore which was surprising. Because they were one of the best in Kochi. Hope they revive their menu to good old days

Best place for steaks, and short eats. This time, there weren't steaks or fish items. It was listed on the menu, but they didn't have it. And, the waiters were ignorant about the menu and what items were available. We had mac n cheese, nasi goreng, and chicken sliders. Those were great. We personally were looking to palate their great and juicy steaks. But those were not available.

Awesome taste and nice experience. Ordered 2 slices of chocolate cakes and both are unique and so yummy. Brought 2 cakes as parcel and their packing was also unique. Price is a bit high but still that quality reflects in the item. Let the pictures tell the rest. Highly recommended this place for a try.

The Nasi Goreng is my pick most of the time. It has succulent pieces of skewered chicken along with a dip (which is not always the case as shown in the pictures) accompanied by shrimp fried rice and a sunny-side-up egg. We can also ask the chef for an omlette if you so wish. My dessert of choice is the Hazelnut Chocolate Cake slice, which is quite subtle yet delicious. The creaminess of the Hazelnut supplements well with the chocolate layers.

Nice experience. Located at LuLu mall 2nd floor. We had two pizzas and caesar salad chicken, the salad was really good. We also tried ginger lemon fizz and Bora Bora Island, loved both.

Amazing taste and wonderful ambience. Very cleanly kept and every staff member maintain hygiene by wearing gloves and mask at all times. Loved the tiny veg burgers and pizza here, specially the burgers that had a wonderful crispy filling. The cakes variations are good and the ones I had were of delicious and subtle flavours.

The place is amazing with good ambience. We ordered 3 bird Alfredo pizza that has a thin crust base and tasted good which suffices for 2 people. They have good desserts as well. I tried their honey crunch cake which was heavenly! Would recomend this place to visit!

The food there is really delicious and there service is excellent. It's got a good ambience, perfect to come with your loved ones or family to grab a good delicious meal. Also the wait there is very less. They deliver food really quick, sometimes as soon as ten minutes. And they totally deliver with the taste. It's the perfect place if you want good delicious food in a good ambient environment. The only drawback is the place is expensive. Like for a normal drink they charge close to or more than Rs. 100. But it's worth it.

Had come to this place with my family. Overall I like the ambience and there is ample amount of seating. I had ordered the kungpao chicken with noodles and for desserts we ordered the blueberry cheese cake, tiramisu and the honey crumble. I found the kungpao chicken with noodles to be quite basic however we loved the desserts. The quality and quantity of the desserts were spot on. This place is worth visiting if you are at Lulu mall in Kochi.

The only place in lulu , where you get that luxury of enjoying your food in peace. It’s always cozy and not very crowded , probably due to the limited number of seats . A comfortable place , where you can enjoy having food even if alone :) I love their alfredo penne pasta which is a handful , it has always been perfect all the time i’ve had . I’ve had their stuffed garlic breads , the pizzas , the beef steak & the cupcakes which are equally good ! Bon appétit 😋

Had an opportunity to try out a variety of dishes from pizzas to desserts from here... To be honest I was very happy with the dishes... We started off with 2 varieties of soup, the Leeks & mushroom and the Tom kha Prawns. I personally liked the leeks and mushroom soup for its creamy consistency. The other was a thai soup, with is less consistent with a slight sourness of lemon. Then we had a very unique dish, the Masala Panner Pops, which are panner balls with chaat like flavours. Then we had a taco salad. It was not anything strikingly awesome about it but its a very well presented fresh salad and tasted really good. The soft shell tacos were really good. Even though it doesn't have that much of a Mexican twist to it, its good as it was served. Then the big plates included the Chicken Wellington and the Trio in a Squash blanket. The Wellington is served with mashed potatoes and chicken glaze. The chicken glaze is not like the usual here, as they do not use any Red wine or any alcohol in their dishes. They have all dishes free of any alcoholic content. Trio in a squash blanket was served in a very appealing way and the preparation was to the point. Then we had the bloomsbury's lamb burger. The lamp patty was perfect. My only suggestion is to make the patty a bit more bigger. Then came the pizzas which were one of the best in Kochi. We had the beef pizza and the Arabic chicken pizza. At the end for the desserts we had their signature cakes and cupcakes. Their Golden Chocolate cake is simply delicious. Out of the drinks we had, the Rich Chocolate Marshmallow was the best. Overall it was a very happy and satisfying meal altogether. The plating was the highlight of their presentation which can be seen in the photos.

Worth every single rupees that we spend in this restaurant. The food tastes absolutely wonderful and the way they present the food, everything is perfect. The restaurant's atmosphere lets you to sit there for as long as possible. There is free Wi-fi for the customers. Anyone can spend their personal or even business at this restaurant. The menu is elaborate and very much easy to understand. The price for the food is above average, but when we take a little bite of the food, then the price what we pay for is not that much a problem, because the food tastes delicious. We can feel the high quality ingredients in the food. One of the best place to spend time and enjoy wonderful food. I am eagerly waiting for my next visit.

A place with cute ambience and godly pastries. Amazing stuff, u can feel the freshness in the cakes. And it isn't that expensive as it looks like.

Bloomsbury's boutique Cafe, lulu Mall.. We had stopped frequenting bloomsbury's for the past few weeks as the menu had become too familiar and they hiked up the prices.. But recently I heard from a friend that the menu had been changed and it was good.. So we decided to try it out.. This is gona be a long post as its a culmination of two separate visits to the place.. Kindly bear.. 😊😊 The ambiance and service of the place is and has always been beyond Par.. So I'll jump right into the food part: 1. Hot chicken tenders - Now this is supposed to be a small plate, as in, appetizer.. But when this bad boy arrived we were quite surprised to see 6 long crispy fired chicken pieces with two separate dips.. The crust was crispy and spicy and the chicken was tender and Juicy.. And the dips complemented the chicken.. Just perfect.. But be careful, Its hot, I almost burned my mouth.. 😲😲 2. Basket of fries - Cause, why not! 😀 this one was a mixed basket with crunchy fries and wedges with garlic induced mayo.. What more can one ask for!. 3. Nasi goreng - Indonesian fried rice with more emphasis on sea food.. Now I always felt that the best Nasi goreng in town was from Lokah.. But this one was served up in a plate that resembled a baking dish, with a sunny side up egg, prawn crackers and two skewers of chicken satay.. And in taste it did measure upto the competition.. The portion was generous.. Lotsa sea food.. The seafood broth was used aplenty.. One could tell from the aroma and taste.. Highly recommended.. 4. Fettuccine with chicken ragu - This one was a simple pasta dish made exquisitely 🤤.. The chicken ragu was perfect.. And the pasta, as usual Al dente.. Personally I would prefer a bit more parmesan on top.. But overall a good dish.. 5. Chinese five spiced chicken and mushroom with rice - This one looked brilliant 😍😍.. I mean the ceramic serving bowl it came in reminded me of the antique porcelain Chinese bowls that people collect.. And the way it was served was amazing.. One would not dare to disturb the serving.. It was that perfect.. But eventually we had to dive in.. And it was a good dish but it tasted a lot like an Indian curry, butter chicken to be more precise.. Maybe it was the 5 spices which gave it that familiar taste.. But a good dish nonetheless.. Then came the shakes.. 1. Rich chocolate marshmallow - the name has it all.. Rich chocolate and lotsa marshmallow blended into one yummilicious drink.. Top it off with a dollop of whipped cream and a tiny marshmallow.. Voila!. Cake n shake!. 😍🤤 2. Tiramisu cake banana cream - Out of all the things we ordered from bloomsburys this was my least favorite.. To be blunt, It tasted like sharjah shake.. The banana cream totally overpowered everything.. Tiramisu was just missu.. A faint whiff of coffee.. That was it.. Overall not a good drink if u r not a banana fan.. That was my 'brief' tasting experience of the new bloomsbury's menu.. Will definitely head back.. Lot more to try.!. Happy fooding!. ☺️😍😍

I had heard of Bloomsbury, and it seemed like a good concept that works well in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore - and I did not know how it was going to be in Kochi.

After visiting it, I can definitely say that it is helping Kochi change its urban youth and the way they hang out.

The F&B is great, and with a lovely decor to match, it's overall a top choice - if you manage to get a seat!

It’s a great place to hangout with amazing ambience and interior with nice concept for a bakery which has got bakery, confectionery, sandwiches and Italian. But it's pretty crowded. And service is bit tiring.

Was a regular visitor of this place. Their initial menu was one of the best. Some of my favorites were the crispy chicken strips, fish tacos, jambalaya etc. Their menu have become more Indianized not a big fan of that. The last time I was there, I tried the beef burger and the chicken tender both of which were good but not the best. The desserts continue to be one of the best. Their red velvet, chocolate ganache tart and the saffron/pistachio milk cake are worth a try.

Loved cake

Being Pizza lovers we had a meat lovers pizza and an arabic spiced chicken pizza. The mojito and the cappuccino was refreshing. The Pizzas were spot on and perfectly made with great spices making this one of our favourite pizza joints in Kerala. Are we coming back? Yes we are!

Lovely ambience, loved the food as well.

Entered a crowded place (Christmas crowd). . We were fortunate to get a seat. This was our first visit, and we were taken aback by the pretty elaborate menu, finally ordered Mac and cheese, pennè jumbolaya, chicken cheese sandwich, and teriyaki beef burger. First came the sandwich followed by the soup, my son wanted these in the reverse order, I realised the staff were now struggling to cope with their demands. The dishes came one by one and they had prepared well. However, the burger buns were a little too small for my liking. Points to improve, service only, but I have to say there are some other restaurants out there with the same menu and better priced. So I give a three.Enjoy...

Tried it out for the first time. Really not that much.. tried the roasted chicken sizzler. It was not appetising.. even with the sizzle.. also tried the Kung Pao chicken... Again same experience.. we also tried some beverages and desserts.. sticky toffee pudding... Pudding is nice, the sauce is bad... Too runny .. and the women's delight... Not even up to the mark.. I liked the hot chocolate.. not in love but just like... Don't know why it has so many good reviews.. please tell me if I missed something. Else this was actually a total loss.

Best place for most delicious foods. I tried double chocolate cake and beef pizza and it was so good. Everyone must try and once you try I’m sure you will go again and again. And the most part is their service, it’s very excellent as they deliver the food really quick. Sometimes within 10mins it will be on our table. And thé ambience is very good..for the best cakes it’s the right place to go in kochi.

The cakes were too delicious. Ambience of this particular place was amazing too.❤❤ Foods were of reasonable price. They provided great service!💯💛

The food was good! Ambience is fabulous. But the best of all was the Filter Kaapi Creme Brule. Simply a cup of heaven in cream form. Whatever you have or don't have, don't miss the Creme Brule!

The cakes were definitely better than the most you find in bakeries so I gotta hand that over to those guys. Service was also alright with the delivery team being helpful to choose the right cake.

Good ambience , friendly staffs and good service. We decided to go try their cakes having longed it for quiet some time. Liked their carrot cake and the truffle, was a little disappointed with their blue velvet though.

Located near the cinemas of the mall, an easy place for coffee break, great ambience, great service, good mood maker place, nice food delicious and decent enough, cappuccino was the best.. had expected a lot better cheesecake but was a lot mousey(judged with this). other wise excellent and loved the place. seems thin crust pizza would be great(for next time review). good place for a break.
Aadyy
Loved the butterscotch cheese pastry, kiwi mojito wasnot too good though.Ambience is well-maintained and service is good too..................

I think it's expensive , but they do provide enough quality dishes. Their Penne jambalaya
Special pasta containing prawns sausage and chicken as a part of Italian fest ! Good n average pasta 😁 also had many more which was good
Athul
The Finest cafe at Lulu mall which serves cusine around the world. We ordered for a Leek and Mushroom soup and Nasi Goreng rice with prawns and Chicken Satay. Soup had an amazing thick texture and tasted perfect along with a butter garlic bread. The rice tasted authentic but the satay could have been better.

Lovely ambiance and decent crowd.

Choco truffle cake. It tastes really good. Value for money.
Like its name it was so chocolatey and creamy. The cake was so soft. It contains 35% of cake and rest of cream..
Santa Treesa
The restaurant offers delicious recipes ranging from appetizers to deserts. A little expensive, but the food is to die for. Pretty ambience and friendly staff too. I recommend their Arabic spiced chicken pizza- thin crust and baked to perfection 💞

The Chocolate Gold Cake is my all-time favourite! IT'S rich, decadent and sinfully chocolatey. Picture this: a dark chocolate cake, layered with a rich dark chocolate ganache and dusted with edible gold colour... That's the beauty of this dish! ✨

Please give our thanks to the Manager(s) and others for the wonderful service. We had an amazing time. The service & ambience was so marvelous , the food was absolutely spectacular. Our waiter was just wonderful. Looking forward to dine again with you in the future. What a great place...

The best place for folks with a sweet tooth. None of the delicacies ever disappointed my daughters. The latest one was the Double chocolate cupcake and the Milk Pistachio pastry. It tasted heavenly and there is no doubt that we would come back for more.Packaging has always been the best! Presentation is great. Overall , one of the best experiences
Teamchennai09
One of the best places in lulu mall to have great quality pastries & desserts. The cakes & cupcakes are a treat for ur eyes . I had tried the milk cake pistachio over there and it was heavenly , surly a place one should not miss , nice ambience also. I had heard about the gold cake they had but unfortunately now they stopped it.

Very expensive . Super clean . Best place for the people of elite club to visit . They sell super fresh food . I did not like the way they presented the bill . It’s a heaven for a tea break . Their dishes are not unique but it tastes the way it tastes normally .

Pest in the pizza ! Worst place for the money they charge ! Was fortunate enough to get a live insect in my pizza ! Had visited the place on 27 July with family including my 4 year son .we had ordered pizza and We already had three slices of it ( my son included ) and then discovered that a pest was crawling on the plate ! This is first ever such experience for me ! They add pesto to Italian and not pest ! We did not know what to do and lest the place ! Such horrible experience ! Do some quality checks guys ! Luckily we escaped Without eating it ! ( Sorry I couldn’t take a video of the moving pest)

Overwhelmed with the quality of food and its taste out here. We just made a quick visit and tried their chocolate banana brownie and Cheesy Pepper Garlic Bread. But were baked and served well. Tasted good too. Ambiance is good and enough of seats to accommodate. Only draw back is the service as it took good amount of time to get the waiter come and place the order or even to get the bill. But with the taste and quality will definitely visit this artisan Cafe again.

Bloomsbury is a worthy shot, the Tender Chicken Sticks were really yummy. The Pizza was also seasoned well with adequate spices. The pasta which was part of the Italian food fest didn't taste that great. Overall, its awesome. Even the mojitos were flavourful & huge in quantity.
Nihad Basheer
I wonder why I didn’t go to this place all these days past. This place is like the low crowded place in lulu Mall and Talking about food they have these best cupcakes 🧁 and Milk Saffron cake is my favourite one. You should definitely visit this place if you are visiting LuLu
Muhammad Ahamed
Bloomsbury has the best cakes in kochi. I think this is my third visit in Bloomsbury.
This time I had blueberry cheesecake, which was superb n rich fresh cheese. They do have many other flavours of cakes. Even I tried oreo slice. It was good.
The price for the cakes are not much high.
But it’s worth ❤️

We visited the cafe on a weekday for lunch and ordered two burgers - chicken and meat (both recommended). We ended the meal with a Vanilla and Pomegranate cupcake (recommended). The overall ambiance is relaxed. There is a huge variety of pastries and cakes on display. The service is excellent.

Bloomsbury Cheese is Yummy and waiting to try another from you people. Quality and service is perfect. Different styles and shelf arrangements are brilliant

Awesome place to have delicious pastries. Tiramisu is unique and fabulous in its taste. Special mention to Chef for such an amazing make. Would appreciate if the recipe is shared. All the best Team.
Bloomsbury Bakehouse has a wide range of visually stunning pastries and other desserts. The taste, sadly, is a bit of a hit or miss.

Bloomsbury's unique flavour combinations, though impressive on paper, is let down by the overly buttery buttercream used in many of their pastries that leaves an unpleasant aftertaste.

1. Chocolate Ganache Tart : 5/5. Delicious. Absolutely deeelicious. It looked pretty and tasted even better. A well baked tart shell with a generous layer of milk chocolate ganache and a thin layer of dark chocolate ganache on top. The luscious, not overly sweet, melt-in-your-mouth ganache(s) were just incredible.

2. Tiramisu : 3/5. Although the sponge wasn't as moist or coffee-rich as in good coffee syrup soaked sponges and the mascarpone cream wasn't nearly as light as it should be in a really good tiramisu, it was tasty.

3. Pink Vanilla : 1.5/5. Even the best looking pastries can taste terrible. Five layers of very basic vanilla cake and buttercream coloured with pink food colouring in different intensities for a whopping ₹195. The sponge was dry and flavourless. The buttercream had an aftertaste so bad, I wasted most of it.

4. Blue Velvet : 1.5/5. Same criticisms as pink Vanilla, this time with blue food colouring and cream cheese frosting.

5. Black Forest Cake : 3.5/5. There were just two slices of cherries (the tastiest bit of ggs cake) in a rather big slice. The pieces of tempered chocolate on top were too thick and difficult to bite into and the dark chocolate ganache on top was delicious. The cake was tasty but there are much better ones available at lower prices.

6. Walnut pie: 3/5. The filling of walnuts and caramel is good. However, the pastry beneath the filling was was undercooked and soggy.

7. Milk Pistachio Cake : 3/5. It's basically a slice of sponge cake topped with whipped cream and pistachios in a milk and condensed milk solution. It is tasty, thanks to the milkmaid but it's certainly not worth the price.

The packaging is one of the best I've seen.

Ordered: Hazelnut Crunch slice.
The pastry was not too sweet and not too rich, which is perfect in my opinion, however the cake would just crumble into pieces when you put your spoon in it.
Hayathi Ayoobkhan
The staff here is so friendly, that they even try to recall your last order!
Their pastas with a side of their garlic bread is just too nice to let away.
The burgers are juicy and the chips are crunchy. Over all, an amazing experience.
Pricing may be a little overhead.

The cakes melt in your mouth with their flavour. Do check it out for your sweet tooth cravings.
Snehil Singh
The quality is top notch.. i ordered a taco salad and i was pleasantly surprised by the quantity. We also ordered the classic Mac and cheese. A major issue with that was the fact that it felt and tasted like white sauce pasta not like mac and cheese. Though it was good as a white sauce pasta.
Anuj Lodha
My first visit to kochi and the first place i eat my dinner was here.
Ambience was top notch with a decent service staff. Food quality above par and taste was even better. I ordered hazelnut milkshake, country farm pizza and a blueberry cake. All three were worth every penny.

It’s in the lulu mall & trust this place can make you hungry by the way they have presenting the food 🥘 dishes

Bakery is mind blowing with lots of options

Prices bit on the higher side but taste is amazing

A must go to place when in Lulu!

Good ambience & great food!

Best Flatbreads in town! The blueberry cheesecake is must try! Very good desert!

#Foodiepola

Place is good and placed inside the Lulu mall and good place to have a fusion food but the quality is different from one that to Bangalore..

Sea food is large as the same is at kochi.

Enjoy the dine out..

Reading the great reviews we went ahead with ordering a HAZELNUT CHOCOLATE CAKE (which was extra sweet, had no buttery texture) and PISTACCIO MILKCAKE PASTRY which after a spoonful or two felt like having simple bread dipped in milk.Although the ambience is nice, staff are friendly but the price does not justify both the quality and quantity for that matter

This isn't my first visit to this place, I've been to this restaurant quite a few times and each time everything I tried from here was extremely delightful. Great ambience, really good staff and amazing food! What I love the most about this place is their artisan bakery. ♥️ This time I had solo polo pizza and here's a picture of it.
Amie
Ufff!!!

This is one place that has consistency in their quality and service.

My up votes for almost all the menu but I have a little too much favouritism towards their cakes and pastries. All the true sweet teeths out there, this your destination.
Niyas Abbas
In my opinion the food here is just above average, which makes the price unbearable. The pizza is good but that's about it. The deserts are good but nothing great. The restaurant is too hyped up. Staff is nice though.
Chanchal Rathi
Situated in the mall, but has a lovely stand alone ambience. The burger was quite good and ended up repeat ordering it. Spring rolls were okayish. And yes, the desserts were absolutely fantastic!
Jassim Assis
The food tasted awesome. The pizza was amazing. The pastries tasted as good as its looks. The drinks also tasted exemplary and looked lovely. Friendly staff. A good place to spend some time after a hectic shopping at the mall. Overall, worth every penny spent.

What’s there not to like about this place! My first time at bloomsbury’s was amazing.
✨

After whiling away the time doing nothing at mall, the only way to make the day better was by having good food. So we chose bloomsburys to have our lunch. Even though it’s inside a mall, it doesn’t feel that way. Very spacious with ample seating, dedicated area for the bakery, and beautifully done interior and decors.

Food was excellent, generous servings. We ordered for chicken noodle soup, Chicken Alfredo Pasta, and chicken sandwich. The soup was unbelievably good. My new favourite. The pasta and the sandwich were yummy too! I can’t really fault anything. After having these, I went to their bakery side to try out some cakes. It took a while for us to pick from variety of options they had. We tried the Blue velvet and Pink vanilla and oh my, the cakes tasted divine! So soft that they’d literally melt in your mouth.

Top notch service and friendly staffs, food is delicious and well executed. Everything is a bit high priced but worth it. I’d return anytime when I’m in the area.

Went in based on the reviews and ratings. Quite a let down if you are looking for burgers or pastas . If only the food was tasting a bit better than the fancy names that they showcase on their menus , could have given better ratings. The burger buns were just normal sweet buns, the patties were just not upto the mark for the names that they provide. Overall the burgers tastes like some home made Kerala cutlets in sweet buns with some ketchup and mayo. Pastas were also a mess. The chefs also make sure that we have enough time spent waiting for the food even though there were hardly any crowd at the time of visit.

No annual trip to Kochi is complete without a local trip to the ever famous Lulu Mall at Edapally.
And once there, we go into Bloomsbury’s for a good meal.

These are what we ordered:
1. Hot Chicken Tenders (INR 285): For appetizers, we ordered the chicken tenders wherein you are served six pieces of crumb fried chicken along with spicy sauce and coleslaw by the side. If you are two people and not looking for anything heavy- this is excellent with soup by the side. Very filling. The chicken are tender, juicy. Perfecto!

2. Chicken Wellington (INR 365): This has chicken breasts with a mushroom-onion mix and wrapped in tender puff pastry. Also served alongside is mashed potatoes. This was very buttery and wasn’t quite a hit.

The staff were a little slow in tending to the guests but rest was all good.

They also do have a bake shop by the side with mouth watering desserts.

VFM: 3/5
Ambience: 3.5/5

Actually I went here exclusively for the Beef🥩 Pizza🍕but I can’t stop it there because they have lots of delicious😋 delicacies and I tried some of it, first and foremost the “Braised Beef🥩 Chili Pizza🍕” it is a thin crust base pizza🍕and little bit spicy🌶 because of chilli🌶 flakes but I liked it and next “Chicken🍗 and Corn🌽 Quesadilla” and it tastes from heaven YEAH!! It is the grilled tortilla with smoked chicken🍗 and roasted corn🌽 and it just something else for sure and this is the must try dish on there menu and next “Bloomsbury’s Burger🍔” and it is the Lamb🐐 burger with cheese🧀, caramelised onions, tomatoes🍅 and all and it’s yummy🤤 and next “Hot Chicken🍗 Tenders” it is the crumb fried chicken🍗 strips with a drizzle of sriracha hot sauce and with coleslaw and it’s like chicken nuggets and it’s very tasty😋 and next “Bloomsbury’s Tikka Masala(chicken)” this is one of the dish that served with steamed rice🍚 and mmm good and there menu is quite extensive I think🤔 there price range starts from ₹350 onwards and two things that disappoints for my liking, is there is no wash room and the servicing otherwise it’s the best👍

After a heavy meal, come here to have a slice of Sugar rush. Variety of cakes that can be tried. Range starts from ₹80-250 for the pastries. It was a trouble for me to complete the whole piece all alone as it was way too sweet which I personally don’t prefer. So one can be shared between two if your not a sweet person :P
Ambience is good
Staff were also nice (Self Service)
I love the cakes offered by this Bakehouse. Main reason behind it is there presentation , it's great . I ordered the chocolate cake with the golden covering , It's a normal dark chocolate cake , nothing special , but it's presentation make it outstanding

Came here just to try the Nasi Goreng, which is basically seasoned seafood rice, with 2 skewers of chicken kebabs, crispy papads and a fried egg. It was spicy and delicious, a traditional take on a classic Indonesian dish.

Update: The next time I visited, I was fortunate enough to try their 'Come Taste the World' menu.

Tried the Leeks and Mushrooms soup and Tom Kha Prawns. The Mushroom one was my favourite, thick creamy and full of flavour.

Next was the Trio in squash blanket, which was ricotta cheese, spinach and mushrooms wrapped in zucchini over a beet infused cous cous, pesto sauce, topped with a fresh herb salad. This was a fresh dish and something different.

Chicken Welington came with a mushroom chicken glaze and mashed potatoes - a well rounded dish.

The pastas i tried were the Fettucine Con Funghi and Penne Arrabiata which were both classic flavours.

I lovedd the Masala Paneer Pops which was like small tarts of chaat that had a huge burst of flavours.

The soft shell chicken tacos and taco salad are definitely worth mentioning, full of fresh ingredients and crunch.

The pizzas we tried were Southern Spiced cottage cheese, arabic spiced chicken pizza and the beef pizza whivh was indeed a star!

Bloomsbury's burger was probably my favourite out of the lot - juice patty packed with deliciousness. Mustt try.

Coming to the desserts - theyre all droolworthy. The must mentions are the golden cake, the blueberry cheesecake, and the pistaccio cake.

They make really good peach lime teas too :D

On the whole it was a blast of flavours and really true to tje theme - got to taste flavours from around the world in one place! :)

Lovely desserts from Bloomsbury. Had the double chocolate cupcake, chocolate tart and baked cheesecake. Was a delightful treat! Slightly expensive, but really good!

Bloomsbury brought a lot of good food to Kochi. Chicken Wellington for example. Another is the kind of experiments they do. Beef Pizza was a killer dish. So is the Masala Paneer Pops! No words for cakes. Golden Chocolate cake is one among my favourite cakes in Kochi.

One of the best food places in Kochi. Frequent it with friends during movie outings at PVR.
Awesome vibes, great ambience, superb food.

Going in detail, these are the ones I liked the most.

Leeks mushroom soup: Thick and creamy soup with generous amounts of mushroom slices and leek, having a distinct mushroom flavour and aroma. It goes well with a perfectly flavoured slice of garlic bread. The garlic bread is crisped so perfect that it becomes the soup's bae.

Masala Paneer Pops: Super-cute balls of shredded paneer, coated with masala papad crumbs and glazed with a honey/tamarind glaze. It's beautifully plated by placing it on a masala papad mini Bowl filled with mashed potatoes, lentils and a whole load of goodies.
11/10.

Taco Salad: Super rich salad with iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, nachos, chicken slices, mixed in a super tasty sauce, and plated in a taco bowl.
9/10

Soft shell chicken tacos: Super soft tortillas filled with crispy chicken slices, lettuce, nachos and all the awesome sauces.
8.5/10

Bloomsbury's burger : Super tasty burger with a hyper temder lamb patty which is sooo soft that it's literally melt in your mouth. Served with potato wedges, the burger is one of the best in town.
10/10

Bloomsbury's beef pizza: Undoubtedly the best pizza in town. The base is soo thin yet crispy. Best part is the topping with a whole lot of perfectly cooked beef pieces.
10/10

Golden Chocolate cake: Classic bloomsbury's masterpiece. A supersoft chocolate cake dressed in gold.
9/10

Chocolate hazelnut cake: Soft chocolate cake sandwiched with layers of hazelnut cream
9.5/10

Milk cake: Desserting the desi way. A beautiful milk cake lying in a pool of evenly flavoured Kesar/badam milk. Being a diehard milk cake lover, I felt the milk cake would have been better, had the milk been replaced with rabdi.
9/10

Nutty Oreo shake: Peanut butter flavoured Oreo shake.
7/10

Irish coffee: For a coffee lover who runs on caffeine engines, it's kind of a mild version of Irish coffee with more emphasis on the cream part.
8/10

Blueberry cheesecake: one of the best cheesecakes in town.
9/10

In short, Bloomsbury's is simply superb. The best food outlet at Lulu Mall.

I've been here a few times but nothing really blew my mind. The food was good but nothing really struck me as standing out. But hey, if you wanna play it safe it's always an option.

I like how in-spite of this place being in a mall, yet it gives you are very happy and calm vibe when you are inside. They have a variety of stuff in their menu and the prices are decent, not on the heavy side. The staff are very courteous and the food does take a little time to reach your table. The ambience is really good and you feel really happy to be sitting here and enjoying your food.

So, we ordered Hot chicken tenders and Chicken Pizza (It had a very peculiar name, I am not sure about the name. This was from the special pizza menu and I am not able to recall the name neither am I able to find that special menu here. I will update this as soon as I find the name, my heartfelt apologies). The hot chicken tenders was really good. Crisp from the outside and tender from the inside as the name suggests. The pizza was a delight; I like how it does not have an overdose of cheese like other pizza places have. This was thin crusted and if I am not wrong, it was over baked and not pan made, anyway it was good! The meat and mushroom on the top were cooked properly and it was quite an enjoyable experience.

I would definitely come here again to try out other dishes in the menu. I would like to give the -

Food - 3.5/5
Ambeince - 4/5
Service - 3.5/5

No words to describe the pastries they offer. The taste is out of the world.
Pizzas and steaks are the other must trys.
Courteous staff and soothing music add to the flavour.

Located at the heart of kochi, they serve all the amazing food ryt from starters to desserts! Had a chance to be a part of Bloomsbury's tasting session , and must say, they just blowed out my mind of good food! The staff were friendly and will give a 5/5 rating for service! Even though Bloomsbury is inside LuluMall, they have kept the ambience to its perfection!
Leeks& Mushroom soup and Tom kha Prawns soup was a perfect starter! The crackers given along with the prawns soup was super crisp and crunch! The garlic bread along with the mush soup also didn’t disappoint!
The Taco salad was all super super fresh! Felt like they just bought the veggies from the farm!
Even though am not a big fan of paneer, the Masala Paneer Pops they wiped away my whole taste of paneer! It was a really good shot!
The beauty contest goes for Trio in a Squash Blanket.A really good try!
Soft shell tacos was simply yum yum! The chicken where crisp to point and when mayo spread over the taco, it was lit!
Chicken Wellington along with mash potatoe! The chicken breast was cooked perfectly and the mash mash potato! It neither tasted plane!
Pizzzaaa! And the best ! Beeeef pizza!!! A big fan of beef and a beef pizza! The best combo ever! It was lit🔥! Arabic Chicken pizza! A variety which I haven’t tried from elsewhere! Didn’t dissapointed me neither!
Fettuccine and Penne Arabiatta pasta! Pasta lovers? Go for it!!
Booomsbury buger! That lamb patty though! *waterwatereverywhere*! Served along with potato wedges!
The best part! Irish coffee and desserts! Go through the pics! Or do visit Bloomsbury ! No need of much explanation! U will fall for it!

All in all, u visiting kochi? Or u need good food!? Go for Bloomsbury !

Was not very hungry so I stopped by for a snack Had the tomato juice and a slice of delicious cake. The food was yummy but I also saw a mouse! 🐀 The cash register was also down so service was a little slow.

"OMFG" that's what I did after I tried their pasteries and pizzas they are simply awesome and best in town. The rates are decent and matching to their quality of food they provide
Suchetha S Prabhu
I would rate it 3.5 only because of the price. May have been higher if not for the price. The ambience and the lights are set up well with is good with interesting posters. The Alfredo sauce was good and Blueberry cheesecake was fine

Guys, let’s get one thing straight. If you are in Kochi, this place is a must try. This is my 4th visit here and guess what, all new menu. They have revamped their menu and added new cuisines. They say, “Come taste the World”.

So coming to the food, I mean I have been here a few times and let me tell you my favourites.
Soup: Leeks and Mushrooms
Salads: Taco salad. (Serves two)
Burger: Bloomsbury Burger. The best juicy burger which I’ve had in Kochi. Better than the Burger Junction, which is my go to burger place.
Pastas: Penne Arrabblata. This is subjective. My wife’s favourite is Fettuccine Con Funghi.
Pizzas: Can’t choose one. Which ever I tried. I liked it all.
Tacos: Soft shell chicken tacos.

Couple of special mentions for my veggie friends
1. Masala Paneer Pops.
2. Trio in a squash blanket.

Deserts and Beverages:

Rich chocolate marshmallow 😍😍
Iced Tea

Cakes:
Their golden topped chocolate cake is my favourite.

Overall a good and cozy place to spend time with family and friends. Friendly staff, great ambiance.

Will be coming again for more.

Located near to PVR at Lulu Mall. Easy to locate with lot of seating. The staffs were very courteous and the ambience is just awesome. Tried most of the dishes from their revamped menu. These are my top picks.

Masala Paneer pops: Bloomsburry’s take on that chats. Crumbled paneer with masala pappad and tamarind glaze.
10/10

Bloomsbury’s Burger : The lamp Burger patty was juicy and super yummy. Served with potato wedges.
10/10

Taco Salad : Comes in a taco shell with fresh veggies, lettuce, jalapeños and nachos. The presentation is super awesome.
9/10

Soft shell Chicken tacos : Soft tortillas filled with lettuce, crispy chicken and some tacos.
8/10

Bloomsbury’s Beef Pizza: Hands down the best beef pizza i ever had eaten.
10/10

Overall a very pleasant dining experience. Looking forward to going back there soon.

Here comes one of those places which captivated me with the ambience and consistency! An ardent lover for good food served at serene ambience, this one bagged my constant hangout destination. And needless to say, their kitchen definitely satiates my flavour palette desires. Featuring here is their signature golden cake... rich, moist chocolate cake twining with layers of silky smooth ganache- coated with golden love!

I had a layover today in Kochi. After a tiring flight, I couldn’t think of anything but sleep until I couldn’t think of anything but food. This landed me in Bloomsbury’s a boutique cafe and artisan bakery. To begin with I had a velvety chocolate pastry. Icing good, red velvet good, however the chocolate cake could have been a little more moist. For main course I ordered a Grigliata Di Carne Beef. It was good a bit too peppery for me. But all in all really amazing. A must try place. Thanks for reading🙌

When in kochi cherish the boutique bakery experience at Cafe Bloomsbury’s at Edapally. It was long due as I visited kochi after so long from Hyderabad and it was such a treat for me.
They have beautiful interiors and a cafe alongside to the bakery where we can enjoy great food. Anyways mine was a quick visit to catch up on some super yummy desserts.

Here in picture is Rose Pistachio Cake Slice, a beautifully crafted cake made with real rose petals and crushed pista in green coloured cake. It was subtle taste, the sugar was less but I like it in a way as it felt healthy in a way with less creamy and low calorie punch. Bit expensive at ₹215 🤗
.
Check em out at Lulu Mall.
.
What- Rose Pistachio cake slice
.
Food-3.5/5
Ambience-4/5
Service-3/5 (slow at noon time)
Value for money-3/5

Wow, I LOVE this place. Had THE most awesome lunch today - a very hearty meal with leek&mushroom soup, cheesy garlic bread, Arabiatta pasta, and 4 Cheese thin-crust pizza (i forget the menu name 🤷‍♀️). INCREDIBLE, AWESOME, AMAAAZING..... 🤤🤤🤤. I so love love love this place! 👌

Amazing ambience and the food was delicious. I have been there before for coffee and cakes and they are very good. Today I went for lunch with a friend and it was a good surprise! I order penne jambalaya in white sauce (it originally comes in red sauce but you can choose) and it was amazing. Pasta was cooked to perfection and covered with a creamy, cheesy and velvet white sauce with well seasoned prawns, grilled chicken cubes and chicken sausage. I will order it again for sure. My friend had fish’o’chips and it was very good too. It’s a big plate you can surely share because it comes with 2 huge pieces (maybe 400g) of boneless fish, coated in deep fried batter, white and juicy meat. It comes with french fries and tartar sauce. Great food and great value for money. Give it a try!

The Chocolate Gold Cake - 130
Just look at this masterpiece! This is called food art.
Rich Chocolate cake smothered in a thick layer of chocolate ganache and that beautiful golden icing pipped up on top. Take a bite and you'll slip into Oblivion! If you're a chocolate guy like me, you'd just fall in love with this piece of art. It's not just a slice of cake..it's an emotion.. Verdict - 9.8

Taco Chicken Salad - 385
Freshly tossed lettuce and veggies with some jalapenos, sour cream and tender chicken pieces topped off with some nachos. Oh, the whole base you see? Yeah, it's made of a single piece of taco! Neat huh? Tastes great too. Although I wish there was more chicken to justify the cost. A great healthy starter I'd say.. Verdict - 8.2

Heavenly desserts! 😍

I can't stop appreciating their desserts when this one comes to my mind. Cheese cake, milk pistachio cakes, truffles and red velvet..they just nail it!

I have also tried cheese garlic breadsticks, mac n cheese and pizza. Prep and quantity is great but everything is a bit bland.

Anyways just go n hop here for desserts!!! 😍

Love everything about this place. Their main course items and pizzas are probably some of the best in Kerala. (Read: Solo Polo😍) Some of their desserts are slightly disappointing but most tend to be a treat.
Slightly pricey, but it's worth it.

Tried different pizzas and dishes from Bloomsbury. They have 10 new pizzas in the new menu;recommending their meat lover’s pizza. Also try new sizzlers ;the irish lamb was out of the world. Some of their cakes are good and some are not up to the standard. The shop is well maintained and with good seating capacity. I tried 6 different cakes and three of them were really good ..Blue velvet and double chocolate cup cake were too good. And the Oreo shake with soya milk was just awesome. 😍

We ordered the
NON VEG SATAY that was terrible.
The meat was well cooked but there were random sauces put on it that didn't really go well with the protein. The chef should really take care of that the next time.

So we decided to go the dessert part and ordered lots of cakes.
Other than the TIRAMISU, the cakes were hard.
Definitely not visiting again.

Priyanka Roy
Their pizzas are great , thin crust and square.
They have the best donut milkshakes.
The pastries are also great,
The only thing that I tried there and didn't like was their Tiramisu.
Aiswarya Anil
One of the best cafe in the city. We ordered Red velvet and Hazelnut cake. Both the cakes were so delicious. My personal favourite is their red velvet. It’s just heavenly 😍.

A cosy place for family outing and hanging out with friends. We tried their chilli glazed beef pizza , mighty old indonesian nasi goreng and a mocktail. Pizza was the best which i had tasted in ernakulam with the perfect crust. Nasi goreng tasted well. Very prompt service with amazing staff make you wanna go back again and again . I recommend this place !!!

The price is definitely on the higher side but at the same time the quality and taste of the food here also feels high. The cakes and pastries here are excellent. Decent Nasi Goreng.

The presentation is excellent.

Edit : Their Club Sandwich is also pretty decent for the price
