Review Chopstix - Kochi (Cochin)

Excellent food and service. Very friendly staff. The Chinese ambience is nicely set. Dim lighting and red wall lamps add to the effect. Portion size is decent enough. My favorite was the spicy roast beef and spicy fried chicken dimsum.

Good Thai and Chinese food options. The price is a bit high, but worth it for the taste. Vegetarian options are also good.
Anna Tales
Excellent Chinese restaurant. Must try their fried rice and noodles. Tried duck fried rice, duck noodles, sea food noodles, sea food rice and chicken starters All dishes were excellent. The items are overpriced but they surely fill your tummy and heart. Amazing ambience and excellent customer service. They have successfully created a Chinese ambience to the dine in space by red and gold decor around dining area.

Nice place for Chinese and Thai dishes. Tried the Triple schezwan chicken noodles, chicken fried rice and Roasted chilly Lamb. All of them were tasty.

One of the best authentic Thai and Chinese Restaurant in Kochi. They serve awesome food!! Tried different items from their menu, and everything was nice. My personal favorites are Roasted chilly beef dry, American chopsey (chkn), Tobanjan fish and Triple shezwan chicken fried rice. Tried a drink called 'Kombucha' and it was a disaster. Momos was decent but not worth the price. Their soups are good. Service was also great. . Price:- American chopsey (chkn) - 270 Roasted chilly beef - 330 Beef noodles - 210 Sweet corn soup (Chkn) - 150 Momos steamed (Chkn) - 240 Tobanjan fish - 310 Triple shezwan fried rice (Chkn) - 210 Kombucha - 180

Its a really good dining experience in chopstix. The ambience set is appealing. Dishes served were treat to the tongue. Their soup varieties are famous in the city. A must visit place. Note that it's on the first floor.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in Cochin. Our family loves this restaurant. The food is mouthwatering and authentic. The staff and management are very warm and friendly. A must try Chinese restaurant. Highly recommended.

We always love chopstix food.. I am having food after 1.5 years, and they have kept the consistency.. I always find something new in their menu and tend to try and tried their Thai soup and drunken beef tenderloin noodles. And both was really yummmm...

Good food, Only issue is fewer table is available

Definitely my favorite Chinese restaurant in Kochi! I love going there and every time I order something new from their menu and none of the dishes have disappointed me so far! I am a fan of their dry chicken dishes especially the spicy ones and the burnt garlic fried rice and noodles. I recently tried one of their desserts called Darsaan which was fried noodles drizzled with honey and a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. It was really yummy!

Service was great but given that it was a rush day, a holiday, it was a little slow, but we were recommended to order all at once lest it lead to longer waiting. Also we were rightly advised on portion size so we did not overorder. Had a happy hangout meal. It's a good old Chinese and Thai restaurant.
VIJAY SABU
A casual and relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service was great. The portions are a bit small.. Good ambiance during night time.. Ample car parking space...

Good chinese atmosphere and tasty food great service

Chilly lamb and honey glazed chicken must try
RENJANA PILLAI
This might be my favorite indo Chinese in Kochi. Ordered the chilli basil fried rice and chilli paneer. It was really good and not too oily. I also tried the dragon chicken - this was probably just average
Gokul
Ordered spinach corn mushroom fried rice and boiled vegetables.
The fried rice had good portion but vegetables was very less. There was maybe 3 to 4 mushrooms and minimal spinach. Corn was ok quantity.
The boiled vegetables was very less in portion and had minimal veggies too. 3 to 4 broccoli pieces, some cauliflower and lettuce, and salted zucchini. All very less in quantity. To be honest, please try not to fool customer and pack less. The price isnt less too for the same.
So all in all a disappointing experience!

The taste or quality is very poor...will not order again..
Rohith
Recently ordered via Swiggy. Beef noodles was okay. Ordered a chicken fried rice (I believe it was dragon). No taste, Just cooked rice with a few pieces of chicken and egg. Ordered a sliced dry chilli chicken, very less quantity for almost 300 rupees, pathetic ! This was surprising to me as I had been to this restaurant previously and really liked the food ! Hope you take your delivery as serious as your dine-in (especially during these times)

Was my staple food when I lived in Kochi - the chicken in oyster sauce is to die for - as are their appetizer and fried rice options. A must visit place in Kochi.

Review #6
(Takeaway)

Thought I'd try this place as it shared the same name of a restaurant i like at Chennai and Boy!! It was a good choice. Ordered the normal Beef Noodles and their Beef Mushroom oyster sauce. The noodles was beautifully seasoned and the beef was of really good quality and the veggies were well cooked. The quantity of the noodles was mind blowing as i have shown in the picture and is hard to finish single handedly and is more of a dish to be shared by 2. The beef mushroom oyster sauce was beautiful with its peppery slightly spicy flavour well cooked mushrooms and plenty of thinly sliced beef.
Packaging was another stunner with real good quality thick, hard plastic boxes that served its purpose well because i couldn't finish the noodles and the boxes were NOT "flimsy throwaway immediately" boxes. so i could store it back again to have later. All in all LOVED IT and this is my new Favourite Chinese food place in Kochi. Keep it up l.

Next time I am coming with family and enjoying your food😃😄 .I like u your food and serving .thank u
Anagha
Tried their drumsticks and some other starters .. also their schezwan fried rice .. all were good except for the starters which looked like fried momos named wonton but didn't have any flavouring at all .. they provide a good service

This place is perhaps among the best Chinese restaurants in the city. As a vegetarian, a good Chinese place is difficult to find. This place puts an end to my search.
Thier egg schewan noodles with mushroom curry is something worth trying if you're an egg eating vegetarian.
Thier service too is good.
Asif Basheer
My go-to place for Chinese cuisine. The Chicken fried rice, Hunan beef, and Chilli beef is the best in town.

They also serve good soups. Best time to visit is after 6PM. 😇

Had a wonderful dinner date with my family and enjoyed the food the inly concern was the man-chow soup, felt was a bit salty.

Must visit restaurant if you are found off chinese and thai cuisine. Tofu in black bean sauce is one of the must try dish. Nice ambience. Good service. Definitely will visit again.
Deepa Davis
Have tried beef fried rice and crab fried rice. The beef fried rice is really good and flavourful. Have also tried honey glazed chicken and a Thai chicken dish. Both were good. Would definitely suggest for Thai and Chinese dishes.

Chopstix is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Kochi. The authentic good served here is mouth watering and delicious. The restaurant has a good Chinese ambience. The ingredients used are fresh. I totally recommend this restaurant. My favorite dish here is Nasi Goreng.

very bad food

Chopstix is straightup the best Chinese restaurant in kochi. I love the food, the ambiance, service, everything. Salads and spring rolls are great. I love the red curry from there. I think in kochi, they only make it that good in a kinda affordable range. A must try place! But it’s a pricey though. But you won’t regret it for sure!
Deepthi Ponodath
Authentic Chinese food - that's Chopstix for you!
Try their honey glazed chicken and crispy beef appetizers. Tom yum soup and Tom kha soups are delicious!
Ashwin P Nair
My second favourite Asian cuisine in the city. They serve Amazing dragon fried rice and chicken Garlic and pepper. The chickem in lime is highly recommended too. Do try the wanton thong soup and any other dry starters. Not a place that would create a disappointment in you. Amazing staff and ample parking. There is a baskin robbins under this restaurant too.

I don't know if you have read other reviews by me, but I generally don't give out 5 stars to any place even if it is a favorite, because of one reason or another. But even for me, it is pretty hard to find faults with this place. It has been impossible so far in fact!
Delicious food, amazing ambiance, exemplary service, and consistency. They have nailed it all! A fine dining place for oriental food, Chopstix is an absolute delight for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike, which can't be said about many Chinese eateries in the city.
Their rice is always perfectly cooked, the veggies in the rice always retain their crunch and freshness, and the sauces are finger licking (or cutlery-licking!) good! The soups soothe your soul, the starters can be had as side dishes for your main course, and you can wash it all down with their oh-so-refreshing Iced Tea. I haven't had a better iced tea anywhere else!
Of course being a fine dining place, it is on the pricier side, but I find the place high on the vfm factor when you look at the bigger picture.
Megha Regi
Chopstix is the place for your Chinese food cravings!
They actually have chopsticks and teach you how to hold them and eat and it’s quite a different experience.
Tried Dragon fried rice and Shanghai fried rice - 4/5 and the fried ice cream was okay 3.5/5
The refreshers such as mint cool lime is a must try and what I liked the most was the dragon fried rice because it has anice flavour .
Naveen
One of the good chinese and Thai serving food in Kochi. They have chopsticks kept on every table true to their name.

Special mention for their Vegetable Spring roll. It's bang on! And the honey chilly flakes dip that they give with it. The combination is just perfect.

The soup, schezuan noodles and baby corn in hot garlic sauce were all equally good.
Also the ambience is really good. A cosy place to enjoy some real chinese food.
Ashwathy Meppallil
Had visted here last week and i loved the food. The ambience too was really appealing. The quantity of the food i must say is something no other Chinese restaurants serve in town. The tast of food too is really good.Overall had a good experience dining out in here.

Been a huge fan of this place although I only have been there a few times. Great ambience and interiors with dim lighting which sets your mood for appetite. The food is just delicious!!....even though the price is slightly on the higher side, it is worth every penny you are paying for bcoz you are gonna enjoy it. The quantity maybe low to some ppls liking, but its enough to fill you up. Highly recommended!!!
P. S : make sure to book your table in advance during rush hours especially in the weekends as the seats are limited.
Biyanka Majumder
We ordered some seafood fried rice, crispy lamb, chopsuey. And two dessert. One was darshan. Coming to ambience. It is well sophisticated with dim light . They give chopsticks which I found fancy.but food? The Chicken American chopsuey had hardly any chicken in it. And the fried noodle wasn't crispy at all. The crispy lamb was too much fried. Darshan was too sweet..staffs aren't well behaved. We were having starter, they took the plate and start serving the main course!! Will think twice before visiting this place again

Tried tom kha soup, Shanghai crab soup,Dragon prawns, chopstix winglets, lollipop, wok toast fish, broasted duck, roasted chilly tenderloin and Nasi goreng. Chopstix winglets and roasted chilly tenderloin are awesome dishes.all other items are average .but quantity is too less .
Shruti Koshy
Have dined in and also had food delivered from here many times. One of the best Chinese restaurants in the vicinity. But is also expensive. The quantity is worth the amount.
Overall rating: excellent
Nimmy Mathew
chicken was too less .there was only 4 or 5 pieces in noodles
Radhika Menon
Hi...chopstix has been one of my favorite dine out since ever. I ordered chicken lollipop, but looked a little too dry than the one I usually have. Just make sure the quality is maintained even when ordered online. Apart from this it's still my go to go place for thai and chinese food.😊
Sahil
Oh my! We are a Chinese Food enthusiast couple and this is the best ever Chinese we had in the whole Indian subcontinent! Can’t wait to get back to Chopstix Kochi!
Reny Jose
Only Chinese food is served here so you can’t expect items like naan which I would have loved. . You have 2 flight of stairs to conquer before you enter the restaurant . BR31 is also close by, so you can buy ice cream on the way out. parking Is available only for 3-4 cars. But I never had a problem with it. For 2 people the price would be around 1000₹. Service was very prompt. Chinese meat dish served were good as well.

Today went for lunch with a friend. Nice ambience and foo was really good. I loved chicken lollipop a lot with that garlic sauce i guess they gave..

Wontong noodle soup
Chicken lollipop
Dragon chicken fried rice
Chicken with roasted chilli sauce

All had that deep taste it was really finger licking foods!
The waiter who served us was really good he was really polite.
Thanks for this wonderful food guys!

Really recommended to all..
Jithu M Santhosh
Ambience is set very elegantly. They've got a very good variety of Chinese and thai dishes.I tried their golden fried prawns which was very nicely fried. I'm not at all inclined to thai dishes so i neither tried one. Ordered their Shanghai fried rice which was actually a mix of rice and noodles. It was perfectly cooked.Customer service was not at all great.
Pranav Nair
I was disappointed as the food which I ordered was suggested spicy but turned out to be very sweet. They also did not have any courtesy to ask about the feedback. I will never would be going back again.
Sanjay M
Food always tastes good here. The Thai selections are all done quite well. From soups to desserts, all the dishes are delicious and served in heaping portions to satisfy the hungriest among us. The Honey glazed chicken appetiser is one of my favorites. Good for bringing friends and family, though the parking can be a bit troublesome. The service is quick, the ambience is great, the staff are helpful and the prices are very reasonable. Deliveries are well handled too.
Naveen
This time I tried pad thai noodles OMG that was the best I ever had. I really appreciate the effort they take to maintain the authenticity..
Antony Lejo
I visited this place multiple times. The ambiance is awesome and the food is really tasty.
The table has chopstix and has a leaflet explains how to use chopstix.
You can have fun trying to experiment eating food with chopstix.

We had Honey glazed chicken as a starter two times, as suggested by the waiter, which turned out to be just awesome.

Noodles I had from here were one of the best in Kochi.
Seafood Fried rice is must try for seafood lovers.
Meryl Garcia
Went for lunch and ordered a veg spring roll, garlic butter veg noodles and kung pao mixed veggies. All three dishes were incredibly good. Compared to the greasy 'Indian Chinese' food that is available in most other restaurants, the food here had an authentic feel. Service was also good. I highly recommend. :)
Parvathy Nambiar
Good option when your taste buds urge for Chinese. Crab fried rice and lamb with basil is recommended. Spinach soup is a great try for veggies. They have 3 varieties for desserts, fried ice cream, darshan and one with coconut milk base.
Rahul B
Whenever I had food from Chopstix i only felt one problem, lack of parking space. But Last week when I heard that chopstix opened in Tripunithura also , I went there along with family , like always the food was fabulous and this time there were no parking issues also.
Anoop U K
I ordered honey roasted beef and Singapore Thai rice noodles for home delivery. They said it may take an hour. I thought they were bluffing anyway they will take more than an hour surprisingly they reach as they said and the food was hot and yummy.
Sonu Chandran
I tried steamed chicken dumplings with their spicy sauce. Oh the taste was really awesome. One of the best Chinese restaurants in Kochi. I recommend everyone to try this one.
Gunja Banik
I really love this place. ..one of my favourite places in Kochi for oriental food. ..try their red snapper ...pad thai is too good. ..must try if you are in Kochi.
Rose Celine Raphael
It is a nice place for lunch/dinner. The ambience is good and not very crowded. Found the dishes authentic and priced moderately. Needs a little more improvement in terms Service.
Farheeno
Foodwise it's pretty good and you even get actual chopsticks to try eating with. They've tried to bring the Chinese ambience, but it's a tad bit dark. The tables are quite small so you end up not having enough space to actually put the dishes after all the space taken up by the condiments and extra stuff already there on the table.
Their minimum order to place a delivery is 600 bucks which is a real bummer if you crave some Chinese and don't plan on spending that much.
Alif Patilla
Another one of the few places where you can actually eat with chopsticks!
Its a decent place but the ambiance is not upto my liking since its too dark in there at night and you can barely see what you’re eating!
But the food part is good, good dumplings and the noodles and fried rice are above average!
The chicken and prawn starters were the ones that saved the day though, tender and tasty!
If you’re craving for Chinese food then this is next best place after Mainland China!
Anand Nair
Chopstix is my favourite Chinese restaurant in Kochi after Mainland China... It serves one of the best Chinese food in Kochi.. The service is good and the ambiance is great

Recommendation: Must try the Mango Salad, Thai yellow curry with any medium spiced fried rice and the Garlic chilly potato...
Navya&Binesh
Nice verities of dishes. Sometimes foods comes bit spicey. Soups and starters are good . Ambience is good during nights.Small place , not recommended for large group.
Aarya
This place can give you the ‘Chinese experience’ with their wonderful ambience and great Chinese food.(go for dinnneerr)
Now here comes the FLAWS....Insects insects everywhere.those tiny little thing will make sure that you hit your nose or hands or wherever it plans to sit.(I’m not even kidding) and the service is average (he didn’t on the goddamn AC)
KEEPING ALL THE FLAWS ASIDE
THEY serve great Chinese food
Must try: SCHEZWAN COTTAGE CHEESE AND DARSHAN and do ask for their special schezwan sauce!
Rizwana
This place gives you the real Chinese experience. The ambience is great. The food is just alright. But their crab soup and seafood soup is a must try. Loved their mixed noodles too. The fried rice is also commendable.
Krish Shenoy
For many years (almost 5 I guess) this has been my favourite Asian restaurant in Kochi. The food never disappoints neither does the service and ambience. Few qualities that make them stand apart from other Asian restaurants in Kochi are fresh ingredients(specially seafood) and consistency in taste.

Their chopsueys are amazing, and I would definitely recommend their shanghai fried rice ( combination of rice and noodles) and mushroom in pepper garlic sauce.
Kung pao chicken and chilly fish are also great.

I will be definitely visiting this restaurant everytime I'm in Kochi for holidays.

Sooooooo Yummmmmy...........
Food is marvelous and service is impeccable... Have been there to celebrate my Mothers B'day. Enjoyed well. My Mother was very happy with the delicious food served, sumptuous quantity, the accord ambiance and the flawless service. Her happiness is what we wanted. I dont remember the name of who took the order, remarkably done a fantastic job by suggesting dishes which was really mouth watering. Manager Mr. Sajeev was also really helping and Cooperative. Thank you so much team.......

Good place for Chinese and Thai food. Love their chicken in black bean sauce, narsi goreng and dim sum. Do try either this or their branch in Kakkanad
Pink
A decent joint for the Chinese cuisine. I love their ambience in palarivattom. Also the service is quiet good. My favourites here are dragon chicken, chill garlic noodle, sweet corn chicken soup, and dragon chicken fried rice. Recommended to people who loves Chinese cuisine. You can try eating with the chopsticks as well😋
Priyanka P Kumar
It is a decent Chinese restaurant in kochi. The quantity comparatively is less but most of the dishes are delicious. I love the golden dragon fried rice and the dragon chicken. The ambience is also a thumps up😊
Joe Sebastian
Nice place to have dinner, but donno know how to use chopstix, wish they could give some training to use know. Very cozy atmospere, a different feel

Nice place to have a proper family thai/Chinese feast. Although ordered a takeaway . The food was nice ,noodles well cooked . The staff's where friendly and the food was served fast ... all in all a pretty good experience
Swetha Suresh
I went here for lunch with my friend .It was my first time trying thai food so had lots of doubts in my mind while placing the order, the staffs were really friendly and paitent they explained the ingredients of different dishes and also gave us some very good suggestions too .Loved the chicken rice noodles here its yummy. If you want to try something different from normal routine its a must visit place😊.
Ranjini Sankar
We ordered Manchow soup, Schezwan chopsuey, and crab fried rice. The soup was thick, creamy and rich unlike in most of the places. If you like things spiced up, you must give manchow soup a try.

When we enquired about the chopsueys, they said American was sweet, Chinese was bland and Schezwan was spicy. However when they brought it, Schezwan was spicy but also sweet. It was alright since I liked the flavor. But if you can’t stand sweet in spicy food, you shouldn’t go for it because halfway through the meal, the sweetness begins to overpower everything else.
Arjun Sivadas
Ambience stands in style!
A special vibe to be here though a small space. I chose to have a Hot n Sour Chicken soup, and Wow! ..that's impressive.
Prab
I've been here a few times and I would say that the food here feels a little more chinese than the indian version we all know as "chinese food". Their Roasted Chilly Beef is a must try. The ambience is nice and it is a little pricey but the food is good so I'd recommend it.
Meera Nair
Came here for Saturday dinner.
The place is nice and cozy. Good decor and Ambience.
We ordered lung fung chicken soup and dragon prawns to start off with. Both were really good.
Do not miss the dragon prawns, it was a bust of flavours, too good.
For the mains, we had mixed noodles, chicken nasi goreng, tsanghoi style chicken and chicken in chilly paste.
Everything was good. I liked the chicken in chilly paste wch is a dry, spicy preparation. Do try that!
Aparna Ganesan
I was in a hurry to leave after having a quick dinner. This place was perfect. They served our food in literally 7 minutes. The fried rice and gravy was delicious. The starters too were really good.

The service is good and ambience is elegant.
All in all, a good place for Chinese and thai
Jerry K Bobby
Food is just alright Chinese and Thai not extraordinary. Well priced and a well set out place and good service. Wouldn't recommend it for regular visits
Shyam Kumar
Insects in their Hakka noodles. Check the images below. Their menu is expensive & this is what they serve. I had order chicken Hakka noodles, shanghai mixed fried rice, chicken in garlic and pepper & Hunan lamb as take away. We found dead insects stuck to the noodles in Hakka chicken noodles. I never expected this at an Resturant of their standards.

It's been a very long time I wanting to visit this place.I have gone past this place a 1000 times but always failed to try this place out. However last tuesday I did visited this place.I tried thai chicken fried rice and thab tim krob (desert). The fried rice was very good and spicy.I loved it.Thr quanity is good and it will easily fill anyone up.However was kinda disappointed with the desert.Jellies floating around coconut milk naa didn't tatsed great.A very good place for chinese that too at good price.Do check this place out foodies.

This restaurant do not provide complete thai taste food. it will be a combination of Indian also especially noodles but still the ambience is aweosome we feel like going there ...
John Sojan
Search for a crab soup ended up in Chopstick. The ambience of the hotel is really nice with little Chinese theme and they play good soft music in background. Coming to the soup - it was good with real crab taste in it, but a bit pricey. Since we weren't much hungry we just ordered 1 seafood Thai noodles and the noodles was mind blowing. Looking forward for the next visit soon.
Susan Jacob
I was looking around for a place close to home for some good Chinese food and this place wasn't a disaster. Honey glazed potato which I dreaded initially which my friend just had to try was an appetizing starter compared to the chicken lollipop which was quite dry. But I wouldn't mind going back😃

Quite a nice setup they have got up and running. It was past lunchtime when I visited this place. The staff were cordial and welcoming. We ordered the garlic butter noodles and chicken with goner garlic. They food was tasty but on the oily side. They all had too much oil in them. Apart from that we even enjoyed eating the food with chopsticks provided by them. The pricing on each item is kind of on the higher side. But it's still worth it. Would be visiting there to check out the rest of their menu. 😁

Thank you CHOPSTIX for training how to use CHOPSTIX 👍🏻.
They have good variety of foods
Good location
Beautiful interior and perfectly lighting
I was in Kochi for close to six months and was looking for some good Chinese restaurant and I found Chopstix. The ambiance is decent and pleasant. Service was good and pleasing. I liked Squid pepper salt, was having Squid for the first time and I liked it. Chicken Manchow soup, Chicken pepper spring onion, Chicken Szechuan Chopsuey, Egg fried rice and Lemon Chicken was decent. However in Chicken Szechuan Chopsuey there wasn’t much chicken, it can be improved.

I loved the complementary salad they provided, however they served just once and when we asked for extra we were said it’s chargeable :(
Over all decent experience.
Stephen Mathew
Very good Chinese and Thai food. Extremely tasty ans feels authentic but the portions are small for the price. Ambience is food but the place should have been larger. Service is decent.
Jayanti N Anil Nair
Chinese not my favourite but dropped in for nostalgic reasons . No regrets though . We ordered Crispy fried beef , cauliflower sesame fry , American chop Suey and a Tsinghoi chicken curry . The chicken curry though came with a Thai name tasted like Chinese. The crispy fried beef was really great . Soft inside , correctly spiced and crispy on the outside . The American chopsuey a forgotten dish . Liked it though a bit too sweet for my taste . Overall good food, service also quite prompt .

Soup..momos... fried rice in Palarivattom. all good. But we could not sit and enjoy as the staff were in a hurry to close the shop by 3:30 pm. We were not aware of the closing time and while asking for some dish, the waiter told they already closed the kitchen :(

Excellent Thai and Chinese food especially Thai. At reasonable prices. Amazing Pad Thai, Thai Curries and Tom yum soup. Only issue cramped sitting and poor dessert options
Devan Surendran
Amongst the multitude of restaurants that serve Chinese (and Thai) food in Kochi, Chopstix probably is one of the better options among the lot. Their location right in the middle of Palarivattom is quite strategic at that, being easily approachable from pretty much all parts of the city.
Although they do have parking available in front of the building, finding one for yourself could be a problem on a busy day.
Anyhow, having gone there for lunch, we were happy to see that it wasn't too crowded inside when we entered. The restaurant has a pleasant ambience, nothing overly fancy, but definitely not mediocre. The red hues which are quite often associated with Chinese culture and restaurants, were evident. The restaurant is decently sized and can seat around about 30 people, I'd say. The tables were clean, with disposable paper mats and cutlery placed. The highlight of the place is that you have chopsticks at your avail, which you could use if you're accustomed to it, or if you're feeling a little adventurousness and wish to experiment. A pictorial guide on the paper mat even teaches you how to hold and use them. Not quite my piece of cake though.
We decided to go with a course of soup, a starter and main course. Although the description of Tom Kha chicken soup (coconut milk with lime juice) sounded quite weird initially, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and I found it quite tasty. The Golden fried prawns were pretty good too, probably not the best I've had, but definitely good. For main course, we kept it rather simple and ordered Chicken fried rice and Garlic and Pepper Chicken. The fried rice was not bad at all, very regular and nothing special about it, but tastes quite fine. The chicken dish, which was a semi gravy was prepared rather well, but nothing overly fancy about it. The fried rice serving was quite adequate for two of us and the gravy didn't fall short either.
A soup, starter, fried rice and a gravy came to above ₹900, which I found a little pricy. Yet, worth mentioning is the fact that their service was quite fast and we didn't have to wait much in between each course.
The one thing I found rather unappealing is the fact that if their waiters feel that you're done with a course (if you're almost done and probably put your spoon/fork down for a minute during a conversation or to take a sip of water), they immediately come and grab your plate to clear it. I would suggest that the staff take it a little easy with that. What's the hurry anyway? :)
End of the day, I think I'd still go back to Chopstix in the future. They do provide a good Chinese meal and although it may seem to be a little on the pricy side to many, it does the job fine and at least you're left satisfied and satiated :) I would've rated them 4, especially for their ambience and quick service, but let's just keep it at 3.5 in view of the few aspects I mentioned above :)
Rahul Prakash
The starters are a must have especially the prawns although its a bit on the expensive side.Tomato or manchow soup, thai green curry and chopsuey were good also.Schezwan chopsuey is tasty but a bit too spicy for my liking. Ambience and service is good

Deciding on a place to grab a quick bite has become quite a deal nowadays, owing to a host of good restaurants that have mushroomed in our lil city of Cochin. I've heard of quite a many Good reviews on Chopstix and maybe that was one reason we decided to drop in. The car park they offer, although cramped, was a welcome relief from the agonizing traffic on the road. We were led to a comfortable table and everything that followed came showering in. From the Menu to the yum salad to the main dish that we ordered took no time at all ! made me even question it's freshness, but to our surprise, they all tasted smack (Greaaaat). We tried our luck with their chopsticks too. Verdict : Pricey yet Tasty.
Anasuya Ashokan
The food was yummy. Only disappointment was the Tom Yung Soup, which wasn't great. Everything else we tried was yum. The restaurant was neat and the service was good. :)
Reshma Nambiar
Superb, it's just a one word to describe chopsticks. A very good Chinese restaurant with yummy dishes in terms of quantity and quality as well if you are looking for a real Chinese joint this one is the best.

Visited this place with my friends. We ordered Chicken lolipops and chopstix winglets as starters. Enjoyed both starters. The honey dip that came along with lolipops was good. The winglets tasted good with the spicy flavour added onto it. We tried Chicken chopsey, chicken schwezwan fried rice, chicken noodles , garlic and pepper chicken as main course which did taste real good and the quantity is really good. One fried rice could fill two. Finally ordered the fried ice cream which was also good. Ambience was great too. Overall good experience.

Guess I was on one of there bad days! Was quite disappointed being my first visit to the place. Went in after seeing all the reviews up. The place had good ambience despite being a small place. The people were really down to earth and good on service as well. And when it comes to food, was quite thrilled to taste "Crab" Fried Rice and it was quite tasteless to me. Accompanied it with Lamb in Oyster Sauce and the lamp was really under cooked! Overall it was a disappointing experience! :/

Lovely food and service. One of the good Chinese restaurants in town. My favourites here are dimsims, manchow soups and many delicious starters they have.

A place where you get authentic thai cuisine and Chinese cuisine.. I really love the ambience and even the music. Thai cuisine and Chinese cuisine are all what they call ,its all about balance.. And here you find the beautiful balance of flavours in dishes... The moment you step into the restaurant (which of course have timings for food), u fall in love with the warmth of waiters which i like to call them as food mentors..(coz the menu is all filled with thai and Chinese names, i never get to pronounce them or even spell them right!) help us with the menu and variety of dishes and types of cuisine.. Till date my favourite has been the wheat flat noodle with beef in oyster sauce.;what an amazing dish. Its yumminess filled in plate. The chilly beef, dragon chicken is my most favourite.. The mixed fried rice is too good and they even give in enormous quantity.. My only concern is that they never give enough quantity for the flat noodle in oyster sauce which im in love with 😞. The sweet corn chicken soup n man-chow soup is always on my list when i come here.for the dessert it was always fried ice cream, and the watercress jelly in coconut milk(i really forgot the name again)... All together this place is always in my go-to list whenever i crave for thai n chinese❤️

Pros
Good place. Good ambience. Authentic Chinese food (the best you get in Cochin).
Waiters help with what to order.

Cons
Congested place.
Quantity a bit too much.
Bit pricey.
Waiters take forever and ever to serve you.

Go for it if you are a Chinese food lover.

Pretty decent Chinese food. But this restaurant is very congested. You should be careful not to touch the people sitting in next tables while eating. They have opened a new branch at Kakkanadu. Yet to visit there.

Very very high on ambience! Quite good on food too. It's been some time since I have gone here. But I believe the food quality is the same as their Kakkanad branch.

Excellent place for Thai food. Please don't go if you hate soy sauce. Thai fried rice and noodles are must to taste. Starters are OK and ambience is very pleasant.

Think of having oriental food in cochin, only chopstix. Wow, everything i had from here is great. My suggestion us to visit here with a company since their portions are large and cant have alone. Food is great. Service, hygiene and ambience is good. Pricing is reasonable considering the great taste, portions they serve and service quality. Considering monthly budget spent it would be on a higher side. Out of 20 visits in a period i would visit here 3 times.

Best Chinese food in town. Cost is a bit on the upper side. Not for causal visits. The ambience is very good and they play good mood music too . Good for family dining.
