I had a great time at this beautiful cafe, the name and they way the place is made go hand in hand. Absolutely loved the food and the service. It wasn't crowded which made the experience better.

It's located inside a restort/ hotel. Beautiful interior, extremely friendly and patient staff. We were there for dinner and breakfast too. Love it to bits. Everything that we has here was delicious. Special mention to their staff for being so warm.

A small place with seating capacity of about 16-20 but well maintained , worthy food, decent prices , security is a bit rude. There's a bit delayed to give food after order . Hot chocolate and pizza is worth the try

Good ambience but service was bit slow.

A must try cafe in Kochi with an amazing interior. The food was perfect and tasty and the atmosphere was really calm and quiet. It is a cafe within the Hotel Fragrant Nature. Coming to the staff, they need to be mentioned for their good service.

A part of the fragnant nature franchise, there are 2 east india street cafe in kochi, one in mattancherry and a new branch in Ernakulum. This is located very close to the beach in mattancherry as an extension of an opulent residential hotel. The food service was quick and efficient, the staff were professional and friendly. The food was well made and delicious. Easy to spot, parking available.

2021:Again after 2yrs visited the place, yeah the corona has impacted the business, still they provided us good food and service. The sad part was there was no AC. 2019: Yeah this place was absolutely nice. The ambience is really good. The service and quality of food was nice. This is located far the busy streets of kochi. The best attraction is whole ambience of the cafe. I loved this place a lot. Yeah it is little costly still worth.

Delicious food at this Café in Kochi. We stayed at the hotel and went to the Café a couple of times because the food was great! We had burgers, spaghetti, salad and pizza and were always surprised how good it was. It is not cheap for indian standards, but definitely a good deal for foreigners!

Wandering can sometimes get you to places. So true in this case. We went fine dining randomly and ended up at East India. What a place. Great food, Excellent service, outdoor ambience is top notch. Food quantity was right portion and delicious. You want a nice evening of fine dining, be the guest... Love to go back soon. Highly recommended.

Me andy sister happened to have a small problem with a dish.....but they asked us about it...and even the chef came up to us and asked about the dish...and they complemented us with a Oreo Moose.... which is fantastic from them.... INCREDIBLE HOSPITALITY 👍👍👍

One among the best café I’ve been to - in all respects. The ambience is praise worthy, both indoor and outdoor seating done exceptionally well. The staff is very courteous. The place is very well kept. The menu is continental, and is priced moderate to high. The food is absolutely delicious. We had the Cordon Bleu, which is unlike anything I’ve had - one among the best dishes I’ve had so far from Kochi. The Chef’s Special Chicken Fajita Tikka Sandwich was so delicious, perfectly executed with the right balance of flavours. Oreo Bannoffee Parfait, with the sweetness of banana lightly infused into the dessert, was okay. Pricing, again is a mix from moderate to high. For measure, the Chef’s Special Sandwich cost 110/- (yes, I’m not kidding), and the Cordon Bleu cost around 330/-. The Parfait cost 200/-. Overall, the experience was very delightful. We visited at around 11pm, and had a good time lost in conversations. Cordon Bleu is a must try from here. You’d easily mistaken the bun for being a bun - it is chicken! Recommended!

I wandered in with two friends on a Friday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma. Situated in bazaar road, fort kochi this is a nice cosy option for those who want to enjoy nice evening coffee. The option for food is also quite elaborate but a bit on the costly side. Staff are friendly so it is a nice option if you are planning to take a long walk towards the fort Kochi beach. Talking about the ambience of the cafe, extra ordinary! It feels like walking through those foreign cafe streets. Everything in this place gives the cafe an authentic feel.

One of the finest cafes in Fort Kochi. Much loved for the food served as well their ambience. The architecture itself is truly colonial and a must see if you're visiting fort kochi for the rich heritage. This is the only 24/7 cafe in Fort Kochi plus since located within a 5-star hotel premises this cafe has lots of car parking as well.

Great food round the clock! You can walk in at any time of the day and be assured that you will served amazing food and at quickly too. This cafe is the backyard of the Florentine hotel. As the name suggests it has got the English vibe. They even have the iconic red telephone booth. It has a street side englishnrestaurant ambience even though it is part of a huge hotel. The food here is great. We had the keto Benedict which is my all time favourite and a must have. Then we had the chicken waffles which might not be for everyone but I really liked it. It is a bit messy though. After that we had Quesadillas and butter chicken with rice. The butter chicken was exquisite. The creamy gravy which was perfectly spiced was pure heaven. I am not giving it a 5 star because the customer has to go inside the big hotel to use the bathroom which is mildly inconvenient. Apart from that everything else was great.

Very cozy place and good ambience plus tasty food. The chicken pepperoni pizza was one among the best I've had in Kochi. Beef Fillet Mignon steak was also good with right tenderness and juicy pink inside (I ordered medium rare). Buttescotch milkshare was also impressive. This cafe is attached to and a part of Fragrant Nature Hotel in Mattancherry. The car parking space is inside the hotel premise itself. The cafe is styled with old British theme which resembles a street cafe in London. The glass rooftop brings in sunlight which during the evening time adds up with the ambience. This cafe is situated in Calvathy Road, close to Calvathy canal bridge and is near to Fortkochi Beach and Mattancherry Jew Street.

Great food & amazing ambience .
I love their steak & eggs as well as pizza .
The Belgium chocolate milk was quite rich and really a value fir money if you know your chocolate.
The service was decent as well . First time visit and will visit again .

The best part about this place is its 24 hours open. The food was decent. Personally, I feel that burgers are good here. The ambience is nice and relaxing. Service was a bit slow and washroom facility was inside the hotel and since the seating is outside its a bit too hot. Other than that decent place.

Good ambience and the location is a plus point for this place,Been there once. Also ordered once. Both the times the food quantity and quality was impressive. Extra points for using eco friendly cutleries and packaging. Great staff as well as ambience. Most importantly the creamy cheese pasta that they offer is heavenly! Worth every penny.

An authentic north Indian food experience. I think the best you can get in Kochi . Very courteous staff. Decent ambience. Price might look expensive but it is worth the taste. They accept Dineout, so we had some variety items within budget!

Quality, quantity ,ambiance, service everything is very good.. Excellent service, with decent menu card.he big fat sandwich was just okay but as the name says, its big enough for two people. Also had french fries, which wasn't good enough. Also, Their choco bliss is a must try drink.Overall a very satisfying experience.

East India cafe is a quaint pretty cafe in hotel Fragrant Nature. It's given a London street decor which is quite colorful and pretty. They serve a lot of Keto meals, pizza, burgers and more. They have very few Vegetarian options, like really few. We tried a Vegetables pizza which was good. Also tried a feta wrap but that was disappointing. The wrap said to contain pesto hummus, feta and more. All I had was zucchini and mozzarella in the wrap with pesto sauce. They have a banta soda making machine. Tried three flavors. Liked lemon the best. Pineapple was decent. The chocolate shake was quite good. Overall a good place but for meat eaters. Food-3.75/5 Ambiance-4/5 Service-3.75/5 Vfm-3.75/5 Return index-3/5

I have been here for almost 4 times. I liked the food especially the Pizza they offer. Also had some coffee and BBQ pizza that was very delicious 😋

Despite the good taste, if the good gets spilled over on the way to the consumer, then it’s of no use. Please stop packing curry dishes in basic aluminium containers.

Best place to hangout with friends for yummy pasta's , pizzas , drinks and deserts ...!! Thr bbq pizza and nutella crepe was my personal favourite ❣️

Our pizza came in an unbelievable 10 minutes. Really did light up the face of the fat kid in me 🌞

Overall good food and ambience, would recommend this place to anyone

One of the most popular 24*7 cafe in fort kochin. We had a great time at the cafe. The ambience of the cafe that gives the customer an unique experience, cafe themed as in the name street cafe atmosphere, ambience along with suitable interior. Both indoor and outdoor settings that gives different experience. Little bit over priced in an around 200 to 400 rupees, but they meet their standards. Visit with your friends and family, surely you will get a lot of photos. Best place to hang out with your gang and chill.

We just loved having the food at east India cafe.loved the ambiance and the staff are too friendly. Food has good quality and the food presentation is well done. I would love to try more of their menu in our next time visit.

Love love love the ambience! The cafe, true to its name, has interiors like that of a street from London. The exterior is quite beautiful at night.
I liked the food, but it's expensive comparatively. I had a gulab jamun cheesecake and Spanish Aglio Oglio Pasta which were quite good.
Abulaala Ashraf
Walked in at 3 am on a weekday and spent a few hours. Had a pizza, an iced tea and a dates pudding. The pizza was just average, may be because of the time? The cafe is set up resembling an English country side and tge exteriors are dine very beautifully. However the charm is lost as you enter the cafe.

Fantastic place... What an interiors
Its a cozy lille cafe with loads of great variety of local as well. As international cuisines...
The place has zing yet has retained the classic Portuguese feel and look...
The wears smile and has a great comforting feeling when you enter... It leaves you with a taste of great Indian hospitality...
I am forsure to visit this however not like solo this time...gonna visit with someone special to make some great memories spending some leisure time on coffee and epic conversation...
Reg@rds
VIVECK patil
www.facebook.com/viveckspatil

The place is quite, with a retro kinda interior works. The food, though pricy, has good quantity and quality. Friendly staff and good ambience ✔

One of the few places open for 24 hours in Fort Kochi. Looks like one of the English bars. Funky decor and a narrow restuarant. Liked their menu. It's of my liking.
Tried the following things.

Eggs Florentine - 9/10 - Brownie points for serving me this at 11 pm. The muffin and poached egg both were well done and lovely hollandaise sauce.

Basil Tomato Noodle Soup - 8/10 - I did like this a lot too. Slight basil tinch in a flavorful tomato soup with noodles.

Pesto Broccoli Pasta - 9/10- Like I said this menu was almost curated for me. I love pesto and I love broccoli. This pasta gives me the best of both. Do try it!

Recommended - Pesto Broccoli Pasta and Eggs Florentine.

All in all , good experience
Food - 9/10
Ambience - 8/10
Cost - 7/10
Braised beef is the best I had from the list of things we ordered. And I will not go for tandoori chicken pizza next time. Apart from the good place, friendly staff and some good food. Its a nice cozy place, especially for a date night with a lot of options in the menu. May take two to three visits to cover them all.

Quite and cosy atmosphere. Top notch and Friendly Service..Great ambience. But the food tastes nothing great.

Chicken waffle burger... Tried the dish for the first time and just loved it! Especially the dips provided. They were the perfect one in the whole items tried.

Tandoori chicken pizza.. 5stars for the looks and 2stars for the taste.. Cheese was well spread. Though the pizza was good for looks but tasted just okayish..

Pesto broccoli pasta with chicken.. Pasta was nothing exceptional.

Cafe at the heart of cochin with great ambience. 5 stars for the ambience and feel.

Innovative & refreshing menu, excellent tasting food - great fusion of Asian, Continental and Kerala flavors! Must try the Nutty Calamari, Beef mushroom salad, Mango Chilly Dessert! The burgers were also super yummy! And the best part was the creative manner in which the food was served! Kids loved the Oreo milkshakes and the pizzas! Great service from Lizy mol and Jithin! Look forward to visiting on our next vacation!

The Café is located just beyond the ferry point, across a tiny bridge that leads onto the white building which houses the Cafe, on the far right hand side. It's a neatly pocketed cafe, that is a burst of colourful interiors, invigorating a sense of an European Street-side cafe, in it's truest form.

The cafe features an ensemble of classic cafeteria delights, which include the Chicken Waffle Burger, something very peculiar both in taste and look.

They also offer enticing breakfast options, but do reach before 11 am for the same. A vast selection of egg dishes, which is what I personally look forward. However, since I was late, I was recommended the Falafels, and they were on par with their counterparts from my visits to the Middle East.

Concluding our nippy meal there, we had the Banofee treat and the Belgian Chocolate smoothie (I do have a sweet tooth, evidently, yes).

Overall, I've placed this café amongst the "Must Visit" cafes of Fort Kochi, and visit, you must.

Top picks - The Falafel, Banofee dessert, chicken burger

We were privileged to be served by Mr. Sajit, who apart from his liveliness, also great helped us in picking our meal.

It's a really nice place to eat western dishes. Had fish and dip from here. Tasted really nice. The ambience is really amazing. The old telephone box and the settings are really nice and their effort in both food and the decor can be clearly seen. Will definitely visit again.

Great place at an amazing location , I tried the club sandwich which was not upto the standard ,as the bread was bit dry and filling was also not good, service was very attentive and ambience was also amazing , little upgradation in food can do wonders to this place

This cafe is really pretty. We visited it during the biennale and the vibe is just amazing. The food is great.Try the chicken waffle dish. For the price,I think this place is a steal. You can also get really amazing pictures because is simply beautiful

I think this is a very good restaurant. I love their customer service, the waiters are very polite and I did not wait for my food for long. Also the taste and presentation of their food is amazing.
I tried veg waffle burger and falafel wrap and it was so yummy and tummy filling. I had an amazing experience and the presentation was food was also very mesmerising.
We ordered a veg Quesadilla and a Bombay sandwich. Quesedilla was served with salsa and garlic mayo dip. It was stuffed well with a lots of veggies. The sandwich was okay but the dip and the potato wedges served along with it were delicious.

Ambience is nice with all the British furnishing amd installation to give you a feel of 20th century Britain. There are mosquitoes in the evening if you sit outside so sit inside.

Really loved the ambience 😍😍 a good place to spend time and enjoy the food😋😋Price is okay and their staff is great.. good service and friendly

Excellent ambience, delicious food and pretty good service!

It was my 1st visit and I was so happy that I got to try out this place. The most attractive part is the ambience. I seriously felt as if I am some where else other than Kerala. Heard a lot about the Chicken waffle sandwich and I tried it. Yes, it was really good and had a very different taste compared to the usual sandwiches. The Virgin Mojito was awesome. But I did not like the Orange drink where I felt it wasn't fresh and had a very high level of watery taste. Rest, all were perfect. Can't wait to visit the second outlet in panambily. Will be visiting soon!😊

#foodexplorer #loveexploring #loveforfood #foodie #foodpics #foodphotography #foodgasm #foodporn

Amazing place. Ambience is very nice. Must try in Kochi. Nice place for couples and friends.
Try the Brocode beer here. Cowboy fry is a good starter. Little expensive, but given the ambience, its worth one shot.

A great restaurant situated in the by-lanes of mattenchery. Provides goof food of an eclectic choice. Highly recommend the fish and chips, and chai creme brulee. The decor is added plus, giving u the feeling a London alley cafe .

Having heard great reviews about this place, we finally got to visit EISC. First off, the cafe area is quaint and the ambience and setting certainly calls for selfies. They have different menus for the cafe and the restaurant.
We ordered Traditional curve and Quesadillas for starters. Traditional curve is essentially uzhunnu vada with prawns inside which comes along with a sweet mint chutney. These are different, but not a life changing experience. The chicken quesadillas on the other hand taste great and come along with 2 fab dips.
Next item we tried was the Chefs cook up burger which came with potato wedges and salad. These beef burgers are more like burgerettes and 2 of those come in one portion. The burgers taste great. The buns are nice and toasty without falling to bits easily and the beef is actually small chunks of beef rather than beef mince or patties.
The cheesy fajita is light on your tummy and leave a burst of flavours in your mouth. The rice is subtly flavoured and the meat is cooked well and the bell peppers add colour and complement the dish well.
For dessert, we tried Oreo Banoffee Parfait and Tempura surprise. I have on good authority that the banoffee parfait is one of the best in Kochi whereas the tempura surprise appeared to be batter fried Gulab jamun and wasn’t the greatest.
The cafe offers fresh juice and the orange and watermelon juices were rather refreshing without too much sugar being added and the fruit was quite clearly of good quality.
As good as the ambience and the food is, service can more often than not make or break a place. Suffice to say, the staff at EISC help make the meal memorable as they are very efficient and friendly.
The visit here turned out to be a great day out and the setting allows you to take some great pictures as well.

PS. They don’t serve the restaurant food at the cafe and I really did want to try the Philly sandwich there and was initially disappointed that I would have to come another time.
Rashmi Punnooran
4 stars for the great service and peculiarly beautiful ambience. The cafe is done up well with just the right amount of deco. Coming to the food, there was no bombarding of unusual names on the menu. It was super confusing because everything looked worth a try. Also, the classic meuniere' was just that, worth a try! It wasn't extraordinarily good, but the sea food lover in you wouldn't want to miss that for a first time. The antioxidant flush is a healthy thirst quencher. Go for it, if fizzy drinks are not your kind of refreshment.
Would come back for a classic English breakfast maybe ?

This one is panampilly’s .. I haven’t found out a page of east India street cafe ..the food was so yum especially the tikka sandwich.. 🤤🤤🤤🤤fingerlicking good it is

More like a foreigner friendly cafe. Covered with transparent glass at top, cushion chairs, very European wall designs and works; ambience is excellent! Talking about food, tried six dishes from their menu; shrimp roll, chicken tikka, fried chicken, cheesy fajita, chefs cook up and char siu slider. All were decent. Quantity wise its satisfactory. The salad side along with dishes were little bit salty. Beef in two of the dishes were cooked really well. The pork in char siu was not the usual way of pork preparation you would find. Staff were friendly and were polite and pleasant.
PS: If you want to try out some new dishes from the usual menu, this place is spot on in Kochi :)
Ulfet Tirmizi
Good food and ambience. We had the chicken waffles and a chicken tikka sandwich, both of which were good. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Wi-Fi is available if you need to get some work done. Pleasant staff and good service.

Note: Fort Kochi is pretty much unaffected by the recent floods and all tourist attractions and cafes are open. If you're planning a visit, please go ahead. Ambience - 9.5/10
Food - Cant comment much

Service - Amazing

Visited this place extremely late in the night. But their 24*7 service didnt disappoint at all.

This is a must visit for all who prioritize experience and ambience above food.

Having been here a couple times I can confirm that this place has great food. The chef was nice as well. The ambience was nice as well except for how close the tables are due to the little space which got a little annoying with being able to hear the couple at the next table talking throughout the time I was there.

Overall great food. The price is slightly on the higher side but I'd definitely visit this place again.

One among the reasons to visit Fort Kochi is the ambience. So as part of a weekend food hunt I was searching for a good place to eat. Zomato and Google suddenly suggested East India Street Cafe. I was booked with the ambience itself. The classic Britain street way architecture was perfect. Tidy organised peaceful place with amazing service.

We ordered the Fried Chicken Waffle, Quesadillas and Classic Meuniere. The stand out was the Waffle and Chicken combination. It was first among its kind I have tried and it instantly took me down. The taste and use of spices was well regarded for.
In addition with that the drinks served was classic except the tender coconut which was just a coconut from the fridge.

They where really eager to know our experience and it felt a really good place to sit down and spend time with ur people.

Food - 9/10
Ambience - 9/10
Service - 9/10
Accessibility - 9/10

The one and only 24x7 cafe at Fort Kochi. As their services are round the clock I feel it's bit over priced.

Beautiful ambience outside and inside. Would definitely love this place.

An exquisite place for a toothsome dinner. Great ambience. Soothing live music and a variety of food to choose from. Tried the Fried chicken waffle and Chicken tikka sandwich. Both dishes were palatable. Only difficulty faced was that there was no mobile reception inside.

A cosy place adjacent to Fragrant Nature Hotel in Fort Kochi, this cafe is reminiscent of a typical London street style coffee shop. The menu offers authentic colonial cuisine alongside some Indian favourites and fusion delights. We ordered the Layered English Muffins and Cordon Blue. The muffins were akin to tiny hamburgers with a helping of bacon, eggs and cheese in them served with a side of roasted potatoes and baked beans. The bacon was just the right blend of crispiness with tenderness and the eggs were succulent. The potatoes were seasoned and roasted to perfection - melt in the mouth kind. Seemingly a small portion, but they were quite filling. The Cordon Blue had the poultry cooked to perfection with a generous layer of cheese and crumb encassing it. We flushed down the meal with some chilled watermelon juice which was very refreshing. The staff was very courteous and the chef met us personally to collect feedback. This cafe was a welcome change from the regular sandwich and burger cafes in Kochi. Will visit again!

Fortkochi has always been a place for good food and a perfect place to hangout. East India Street Cafe is part of Fragrant Nature hotel in Kochi. The name came from the old east india company owned building which was there in the first place later own fragrant nature came up with the concept of it, you can still see that wall which was built by them. The cafe is 24x7 and has an awesome menu with amazing ambience and good food.

Coming to the food we went there as a group so that we could try as many dishes. We started from drinks like always. we tried different drinks like energy lift, orange fizz, pineapple which was pretty decent. Orange fizz was pretty good, it’s highly recommend drink if you are planning to go.We also tried different starters like onion rings, Banana Croquettes, cheese balls starters were pretty good especially the onion rings which was awesome to be honest. we tried different sandwiches, Waffle chicken, different steaks and falafel rolls. There’s no much place in kochi where you get falafel rolls and it was so good it worth the price. Waffle Chicken was bit pricey but it tasted good, don’t forget to use the maple syrup while having it. Steak were pretty decent. The main attraction of the dishes is the plating, it was too good ,every dish had a chef touch to it.

The Ambiance and the food was pretty good also the staff overall service was pretty good. The staff have the eagerness to ask the customers, if they want anything. Overall it was a good experience at East India Street Cafe. Highly recommend for everyone

A quiet evening at the East India Cafe.

We had the following items

Pepperoni torpedo a crisp sandwich of pork pepperoni and cheese between wheat bread slices.

Fried chicken waffle was highly recommend by many and was really good and now I understand what all the hype is about.

The potato wedges served with both are really awesome and I loved them.

The steak was today's special beef steak.we asked for a medium doneness and it came out perfectly and the side of veggies that came with it was equally great.

We had a museli drink whose name now I cant Remember but was amazing to our surprise.we assumed it to be a heavy drink but was a light one.

Orange fizz was the other drink which was a combination of orange juice soda and maple syrup it's nice.

And till now I had an impression that the place was uber expensive but all this just came out to 1375rs or so..

Definitely worth multiple visits.

My new favorite place :’) Great food, great setting, great service! How can it get better? Open 24 hours :D

Came here to watch tonight’s match. Had a wonderful time with their cheesy onion rings and a cup of hot chocolate, both of which were great!

Beautiful ambiance. Excellent food. Good service
It's a small cafe, with a separate entrance by the hotel. Really loved the food here. Tried a slider, waffle burger and pasta, which were all good. The prices are on the expensive side, although I felt it's totally worth a visit.

Went to East India for breakfast with friends.

The ambience was very warm, artsy and welcoming. Loved the colours.

We ordered a variety of breakfast:
- English muffins with chicken ham and roasted pineapple (shown in the pic) was the killer one. Soft bread, house-made chicken ham (which was out of the world tasty) and sliced grilled pineapples along with a layer of cream, roasted potato. The flavours tasted superb together.
- Mushroom gravy over chicken ham with eggs and potatoes. The mushroom was the tastiest I have ever had - extremely delicious! This dish again was splendid.
- Fried chicken waffles: yummmm again!

Also had the mug cake and the brownie with icecream: both the cake and brownie were extremely soft and delicious.

Everything was very well presented, extremely tasty and very unique! Must must try.

Another 24/7 cafe for Kochi people. Night wanderers like me and my cousins always look forward to cafes with good vibe. And ya, this is one of them. Great cafe which is a part of a hotel. Awesome interior 👏🏻 must appreciate.

Food looked great but tasted fine.

Great place to hangout.

East India Street Cafe.
The First Attraction of this cafe is their interiors and ambience, it is really good and different from other cafes located in Kochi. You can have a peaceful conversation with your friends/family/gf/bf.
To start with the food East India Cafe has got a great menu and their most attractive dish is the WAFFLE BURGER, but it lacked the punch and expectations which needed to be delivered. But they will improve as the cafe has only started and as time passes by. They have got excellent and friendly service.
Another thing which they lack is the quantity in their dishes, i had ordered beef steak and it was soo small that it barely filled my tummy and i had to order more, taking into consideration of the price it was a bit over priced. The drinks all are good and are worth trying.
-ZH

The whole building is designed in an Victoria era UK style. The cafe also has a section resembling the old European street with the iconic british telephone booth... The main dishes are good... The wafffle burger is something to be tried here... But the drinks are not that great but just okay and the peach iced tea was not good...

Okay. So the first thing that struck me was the ambience. I have to say it's one of the best I have seen around Fort Kochi. For an unsuspecting person, from outside, it's not a big deal. Just another restaurant in the tourist driven Fort Kochi. But when you get in, it's something. Its like those street side cafes you see in French movies. And The telephone booth reminded me of the old Reeves starer superman movies.

Coming to the food part. I ordered a plate of Kachori, typical North Indian dish, hoping to get the best, at least in Ernakulam. But boy oh boy, I was wrong. The Kachori was oily. Yup, it's supposed to be oily, but I got better dal kachoris from irctc catering. The sides were tasty enough though.

My friend brought pancakes with, what I think is maple syrup. And they were absolutely tasty. So. My experience was tad a bit on the negative side due to the kachoris. But all in all, good ambience, service and food.

A lot of good reviews about this restaurant led me to try out this place last week. Went here for dinner on a weekday. They have an outside n inside seating area. Since Kochi heat is getting unbeatable these days we chose to sit inside. The place was empty , am guessing since it was a weekday. I tried the chef's cook up and fried chicken waffle. The chef's cook up is basically sliders with beef tenderloin scaloppini. Comes with a side of fries. Loved it! Their fries especially are more crunchy and thicker. The fried chicken waffle was pretty good too. Loved the maple chilli sauce as a side dip for the fries. Beautiful combination. The service here is pretty fast. Probably a waiting period of around 15 mins. Looking forward to coming back here very soon.

It was a quick plan but what a great choice it was.A cafe with life, warm & welcoming ambience, attentive staffs and a menu to die for. This is the place to come if you want discrete yet smart table service, good juicy burgers or burritos with a twist and a fine beverage list to go with.It was an incredible experience to unwind in the backdrop of an old-world european street themed cafe.Make sure you have enough battery life in your cameras or phones. The menu served is a mix and match of all things delicious and organic.Tried the fried chicken waffle and the chef's cook up.Yum it was!The masala chai and cappuccino were also up to the mark.Would surely love to visit again for some offbeat empanadas, pineapple espresso, chicken vada paav and the orange fizz. The small olden times telephone booth, perfume display and all the things designed in detail add to the unique rustic decor and the cozy atmosphere of cafe. The lobby is adorned with some fine photos from Hari Menon, art works by British artists will give you a throwback of London street cafes. The live music will only add to this beauty and it already is a hit among all the food enthusiast in Kochi! So,all in all, it's your next 'go to destination' when craving for some delicious food, cozy hang out place with a dash of music and art at literally any time of the day.
A CAFE THAT ROCKS 24*7

A best hangout for foodies. After a walk through the streets of Fort Cochin it feels great to be in a place like this which looks like a piece of history or like we are experiencing something new. It really looks like a street in Europe when got in. And we tried Calamari Fritti, Fried Chicken quesadilla and Virgin Mojitto… Great tastes that make you visit again. Beautiful and pleasant ambience. A must visit in Fort Cochin…!!!

We went here since this is the only place which remains open 24/7. The menu is limited to certain things. The ambience is great, setup is nice, that's the thing I really liked about the place. We ordered colonial burger with capiola fries and mango crusher and indulgence smoothie, since it was the speciality of the day. We were not informed beforehand that it was a beef burger. The burger seemed decent but the good seemed overpriced for the taste. The fries did not have crunch and were not served with any sauce. The crusher was 80% crushed ice and little juice. The smoothie tasted more of a banana shake than the chocolate smoothie we ordered. The only reason for the ratings is the polite steward and the excellent setup of the place. The food needs to be given a bit of attention.

One of the most beautiful settings in a cafe i’ve seen yet. The ambience is just too good. I tried the fried chicken waffle, and it was amazing. The chilli maple sauce completes the dish. Maybe a bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it.

Absolutely in love with the richness and flavour of the dishes. Cooked to perfection.
Also the ambience lives up to the name of the cafe. Would love if the cafe area got bigger.
And the prices even though on the higher side.. I won't complain because the taste of it makes up for it.
Cheers East India Street Cafe!!
