The Name says it Shaapu Curry.. Damn the Curries taste just like the Shaapu food. Spicy as it. Tasty. Cost effective too.. Worth the money you pay.

Best place for nadan food lover. Spicy, yummy , lip smacking Kerala nadan curries & fries. Meals comprises of rice, fish curry, 2 veg curries, achar, meen pira, & few more side dishes. Never seen such big piece of nayemeen in curry (it was soo yumm) with Kappa & appam. Ayla fry sized bwt medium & big ( worth buying). Chicken (pepper based masala) was too tasty to forget about. They also serve kundhal ( squid) keka (clams) nandu( crab ) and varities of fish I'm not aware of names ..😁 make sure u reach this place by 12pm coz by 1pm most of dishes r done and by 1.30pm they r left with empty vessels.

I have been almost a regular customer from the starting of this place. All the varieties of non veg, especially sea food n duck, are my favourites. Delicious food at a reasonable price. Karimeen pollichathu, duck roast, meenmutta roast and what not... huge fan of the tasty food served here.. Those who want to taste all the delicacies ensure to reach before 1pm at least.. all the waiting for seat and the rush won't disappoint you when the food is served on the banana leaf..

Shappu Curry is an authentic kerala restaurant where you can taste almost all the non-veg dishes in kerala. The hotel opens during the lunch time only. It is available in online food sites also. It a must try for all food lovers. I could not specify any special dish over there because all the dishes are awesome. They have outlets at Palarivattom and near maharaja's college.

If you are a young man or a lady with aspiring dreams and a lot of self-respect for what you are, then I wish let it be so for ever and ever. But if you want to loose all that goodness in you for the sake of satisfying your hunger and impressing your taste buds, then I suggest you visit this nasty restaurant. Oh I wish I could give this place the most negative rating!! This place was permanently closed at one point of time. But again it's operational, thought this place is listed as closed over the internet, it is operating anonymously next to Maharajas College (back entrance) at TD road. I once happened to go to this restaurant for lunch, as I was a frequent commuter on the TD Road. And then I realized, these are some money craving pathetic people who runs this place. So in this review I just thought to help those unsuspecting diners who accidentally bumps into this nasty place. Rule 1: Never go alone. Go in pax. The lesser the number of people, the lesser money they will expect and that is the kind of service they will render. Rule 2: Never order something which costs less. Once you order that, you will feel the pinch. The drunk looking server will display his rudness to you.(No wonder the place is called 'Shappu') Rule 3: Obey what the servers say. If you are alone, they will make you sit at some corner where it will be the least comfortable. You must adjust, if you want to eat. Rule 4: Understand that this is not a leisure restaurant, so eat fast and vacate the place before the staffs flip their behavior. Rule 5(unimportant): Never pass-by the restaurant between 8.30am to 9am. Because the corporation garbage trucks parks their to pick the waste. I swear you will not dine within 2Km radius if you smell that😁 I felt like it was not the food that gave you the feel of 'Nadan Shappu' but the behavior of the staffs made one feel so, after all I should have known that's the service I can expect from a staff who is dressed up as if it is a 'Kallu Shappu' and is in his 50's or 60's. I had to leave my lunch unfinished although I hated to do so. Will never ever recommend this place and I also believe it's a pseudo operated by unknown persons, so if any problem arised at any point of time, nobody will know who were they and what they served. Something is not right here and the authorities should look into it.
