So neat. Well maintained. Food is absolutely nice. I ordered a ragi (finger millet) puttu set. It comes with green gram ( cheru payar) and half a piece of boiled banana,chickpeas curry( channa) and one papad. A very nice combination . A healthy food combination for those who are on a diet. Also had curd vada. Which I didn't like as the vada was looking like it was made in the morning and served me in the late evening. The overall taste of curd vada wasn't great. The total cost was 120 which is reasonable. Service is fast. Before dining in we have to take a token by paying money. Cash/ card / upi payment accepted. It has a very large dining area and parking is very small.

Had a great breakfast at the place. They have some varieties when it comes to the food though I didn't ask for its availability. Ample seating and parking space for a place situated at that location. They have a token service and I feel it's better to order them all at first or you have to take the token again during the eating session😮‍💨

I dined Toady at Ambiswamys Restaurant and had a delightful experience. The Masala Dosa was perfectly crisp and filled with flavorful potato masala. The Ghee roast was heavenly, with just the right amount of ghee to make it rich and delicious. The Tomato Chutney added a tangy kick to the meal, while the Coconut Chammanthi was a delightful side with its coconutty goodness. The combination of these dishes left me thoroughly satisfied. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend Ambiswamys Restaurant for anyone craving authentic South Indian cuisine. It's definitely a place I'll be returning to for more delicious meals in the future!

The best vegetarian restaurant I have tried so far. The restaurant is located near Kaloor -Kadavantara road and is easily noticeable and accessible. The parking space available is limited and is filled most of the time. During my recent visits, parking space was not available and hence parked on the road side. Talking about the main point i.e the food, it is mouth watering I would say. They use authentic butter and ghee in making their dishes and I could feel the freshness of the ghee they used, just like homemade. I tried cheese dosa, cheese masala dosa and podi dosa on my recent visit and they were yummy. And another thing I liked about is their filter coffee, just another authentic thing to try. If you are in or around ernakulam, you should really try to pay a visit to this restaurant. Their food, service, cleanliness everything is top notch. Should you have any questions, let me know. Ambiswamy is one food chain that's popular in Kochi, they offer good South indian and Chinese dishes. They have two special dosas, Paneer dosa- A dosa applied with tangy sauce in which fried paneer and vegetables are filled. Maggi cheese dosa- this is one's really different and a sure try for those seeking variety, it's a dosa filled with Maggi and topped with lots of cheese; the quantity of this dish is large, a single person can't eat the whole thing, even if he/she can eat a lot in one go. Gobi Manchurian is another dish I eat frequently from this restaurant.

This place is just one of those places which run on account of location the food takes a back seat. The place is huge and the ambience is good with. Ice and ample seating. Cleanliness is good. The service for meals is electric but slow for all others. The food is ok nothing great. Loved the lemon juice they served was phenomenal. The verdict Hungry then quench ur hunger nothing else. I had ordered for chole Bhature which came up to 88₹. The chana was very well cooked and was liked by everyone. It was spicy enough to be relished along with the bhature. However it would be appreciated if the quantity of bhature would increased. Delivery of wasn't in hot bag, which made it cold.

It was my first visit to Kochi and saw this restaurant down the lane from my hotel. I had masala dosa here and it was very tasty but the chutnies they serve along were just awesome. Its a value for money place. Do visit once if you are in Kochi. Hygiene is great here, service is good and the ambiance is just basic. Nothing jazzy here but great food.

This hotel being near to my office has been the place for lunch whenever I don't take food from home. Has been a second home for me. The service is courteous and very quick. Chapathi and Kurma accompanied by Mint Lime is my favorite combination here. Would love to visit any day. The evening snacks are a treat which are served hot and very tasty.

Being a non Kochi-ite, i never knew where to get good vegeterian food from. Many of my acquaitances unanimously suggested Ambiswamy's. So I have had many dishes from Ambiswamy, but was never dissapointed even once. I specially give full marks for Upma and Masala Dosa.

The restaurant is well located with other shops of walking distance. The restaurant is an outdoor type ambience with an open kitchen as well. It's a good restaurant for quick Kerala style meals. The food variety is not bad but can be better though. The service is good and fast as well.

Worst experience ever. Never order online from Ambisway's. Last night I ordered 3 chilli parotta. But they sent me two chilli parotta and one chilli chappathi. As the two look exactly same, they tried to manipulate me. But the taste is different for chappathi and parotta. So I understood that they have cheated.

We visited the ambiswamy at Edapally. Ordered a ghee roast and a curd vada. The order was taken and served in around 5 mins. It tasted good where the ghee roast was rich in ghee. The curd vada also tasted good. The place is neat and tidy and worth the money spent on food.

Obviously one of the best vegetarian restaurants in town. They have the best paper roast and masala dosa in town. I just love their chutney and sambhar. This place is always filled and the rush here just makes me want to eat here all the more. They have good lime juice and shakes as well.

Very convenient location with drool worthy dosas! Coming to Ambiswamys and not having their dosa is madness 😂 Definitely recommend the butter masala dosa 🤤 However make sure to bring cash as they do not take credit cards! Lwarnt that the hard way 😂

In a veg starved city like Kochi, ambiwamy’s is the saving grace. Have savoured their special kanji (porridge) which is served with boiled lentils and chutney. Simple and good food with the staples like dosas, puri masala and idli on offer. Makes it a wonderful fusion. They have special dishes like Ada payasam and tapioca served with green chilli on some days.

Even though this is one of those places looked down upon by the locals, it was south Indian fare dome just right for a bunch of northerners. The ghee roast dosa was to die for. We ended up having 3. Vadas can be skipped if not fresh. We went around 3 pm (post lunch) in the evening so wasn't the best. After almost 4 days in kerala searching for a good cup of filter coffee, Ambiswamy's delivered me the perfect one right before my flight back.

Simple food at very reasonable prices. Basic sitting and simple ambience. Locals frequent this place mostly. Good for a quick meal with speedy service. Food can be oily though. We did not get the full menu options as we reached by 10pm. Had Butter Masala dosa (nice) and Roast Onion dosa (ok).

Veg food, fast food, clean food. A no frills attached meaty and clean place. Be it breakfast, lunch, coffee tea snacks or dinner, when your address in hurry just jump here. This is not for a dine experience. You will probably be out before you know it. Not because it's bad but that's the way these types of joints function. Good service as well. You need to pay and take coupon before you eat.

Went to this place twice. once for breakfast and once for lunch. The restaurant is spacious, a lot of people come in to eat. It is a regular, non fancy and decent restaurant and is pure veg. we tried south indian food, and it was good. Ambience- Clean, simple chair tables set up, no interiors. Just fine. Food- We had idlis, veda, veg cutlet, coffee and tea in breakfast, servedon a small banana leaf inside the plate. They tasted really good. I rate them at 4.5/5. In unch we tried veg fried rice, served with raita, Gobbhi manchurian with gravy and mango juice. Juice was awesome. Fried rice and manchurian were good too would rate at 4/5. Remember to ask them to make it medium spicy if you are not wanting it too spicy. We did that. And they serve warm herbal water, notice the pink colour in the pic. Service- The waiters served us with a smile and kept on asking us if we needed anything. Well, i liked them. Overall, it is a good veg option.

This place has its ups and downs. The service is pretty fast and many items on the board finish pretty soon, but it is good that they keep updating what is available on the board and one has to pay before eating. the paneer butter masala was decadent. the Wheat dosa was decent. The onion uthapam was undercooked last time i had it. The wheat puttu payar combo is decent but they are not very receptive to serving you papads neither with the puttu or with your noon meals. More items will be reviewed as i try them.

The Ghee masala dosa we had was fantastic though the coconut chutney was not that good and I feel the price was on high side ... Worst food!! Ate puttu with Allu Gopi. I asked the waiter to make it less spicy. Even after saying twice, they served me spicy Allu Gopi. My stomach was burning after eating from there. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

One of the worst ghee roast I ever had full of small stones.. It was not even a ghee roast it was plain dosa.. I was very hungry nd tired so had half of tat so called ghee roast nd left. I would hav rated 0 if zomato had option like that

I tried the tomato rice here and they served it without the curd raitha. Tomato rice is spicy in itself so why would anyone serve it with pickle? And then the tomato rice was undercooked and over-priced at RS.90. Not to mention the lazily sliced, huge chunks of tomatoes that spoiled any love I would have had for tomato rice. However they do serve a kick-ass meals. Do try their special meals.

The place is well located. It is very large and spacious. And hygienic as well. Only inconvenient thing is the token system. You are expected to plan on what you eat! I tried their Puttu with boiled banana. For 40 bucks, it was really worth it. But I wasn't liking the taste of the dish itself. Nothing to complain about the restaurant here. The service is average.
