Review Mezzo - Kochi (Cochin)

I just love this place. Any day of the week, any time of the day, Mezzo is an awesome bet. An open bar with great music, good crowd and yum yum food. My best though is their BBQ pork ribs. It melts in your mouth and is one of the best in the city. Its obviously on the expensive side and therefore do budget for atleast 1500 per head if you're looking to have couple of drinks and starters per person.

Mezzo is incredibly expensive. However they make brilliant cocktails. The mixing ratio is amazing. Drinks taste well and as well as look wonderful. Food is also of great quality although they have a very limited menu.

Were looking for some happening places around M G road on a Sunday evening. The place came up as a most popular joint and we were surely excited to try the same. Located on the ground floor of Avenue Regenta hotel, the place is were well designed. Seating is spacious and comfortable. Service was really quick and worth appreciating. We tried out the Hummus and pita platter, Schezwan paneer, papad platter and devil fries. The presentation as well as quantity was absolutely perfect. The fries were a bit bitter and did not enjoy much, however all other items tasted well. All in all a worthwhile place to spend your lazy evenings.

Mezzo appears like an oasis in an urban desert. A place to unwind and relax in a very busy part of the city. The location is great and so is the ambience. However parking can be a major issue and so can be the waiting time. To add to this, waiting times for seats can be really long especially in the evenings. Be prepared to wait for your seat and for snacks (if ordered).The place has a lot of energy and is definitely a recommended spot for a good drink.

Mezzo is one of the most popular spots in kochi and is a bit on the expensive side but hosts a good collection of cocktails and other liquor.The ambience is great and the interiors are tastefully done.There is a seperate outdoor area with seating where smoking is allowed.We tried Korean BBQ wings,Chicken 66,Konjee Beef and Kung Pao Chicken.Everything tasted fantastic and quantity was also sufficient.Please do try the Konjee Beef.They have a decent selection of beer as well.The tables are small and if you are in a larger group you may find it congested.Also there is little privacy for tables as they are located close to each other.The service was fine.They have parking space and valet parking but still it can get filed up easily during peak hours and you will find it difficult to park.There is no loud music or dance floor.This is just like any restaurant with a bar option.

Looks little overrated. But considering kerala situation it's far ahead. Good food good service and almost all brands we wish are available with expert cocktail masters.

Meezo is a nice lounge bar in the prime area of MG Road, Kochi. The seating arrangement is nice and the crowd that comes here is also quiet decent. The food options are not that many but they are moderately priced. There is parking available with valet services too. The drinks on the menu are priced decently. Overall a lovely place to spend evening. The only con that I feel is that there is no dance floor to dance. I would give this place a 7/10!

Best in town, usually crowded, doesn't serve full course meals but definitely have best options in snacking and starters. Spicy calamari and kung pao chicken are the best and must try. The place gets all happening by the night and be sure not to get late or you might get in short of seats.

Who doesn’t like Mezzo. Probably the first and best lounge bar in Kerala. Been coming here for almost 12 years. Mezzo the best.

In the heart of kochi, above the cut bar with delicious food, good music and cozy ambience is what mezzo for me. Perfect place to hangout with friends or business partners. I have tried quite lot of stuffs on their menu, but the best was sea food and they serve one of the best cocktails in town. Thought the prices are on a higher side, its worth. They have smoking zone seperated with glass walls and classy wooden furnishings. The place may be crowded on weekends. The staffs are well behaved.

Always a chill spot for all the people in Kochi. Great architecture with their interior works. You get a chance to be on a luxury sofa with a budget pocket. A good way. Serves Alcohol and yes great beers. Liquors are a bit higher on rates but lower when comparing with other luxury bars. A very great chill out spot for all ages. Very crowded at nights especially during weekends. I would definitely spend my weekends over here.

Very good place to chill with friends in the evening. The food was yummy too. The place is quite dark so avoid taking the kids there so that you can relax. The drinks were pretty good too.

Mezzo is a great place to sit with friends and chill. We were a bunch of friends in Kochi for 2 days and both evenings we were at Mezzo for hours. The food was okay and they had all the regular drink options. Great place to chill.

Been to this hotel several times, however this was my first visit to mezzo. They serve alcohol. Had some calamari and a beef steak. The steak looked better than it tasted! Overall an average experience.

Nice place to hangout near MG road. Crowded even on Tuesday evening. The staff is properly trained. The starters are nice and meat properly cooked.

Classy but cramped. Tasty but limited. Good but can get better. Mezzo in all aspects is probably one of the better bars of Kochi but lacks the space and zing to take it to the next level. There are limited options to choose from - beer and snacks, both. The staff is friendly and well trained. You can always hop in for some drinks and shift to the resto upstairs for dinner. I hope to see this place transform into a better version of itself - more seating, space, food options amd definitely, more beer.

Great ambiance, great food. Perfect place to chill out inside the city. The crowd here is decent. Would have given five star but giving only 4 due to the below reasons.<br/><br/>1. Too small for a good bar. Can't get any seat and need to wait for long during weekends.<br/><br/>2. Choice of beer. Only have the basic kf/Carlsberg. Please make sure good imported beers are available.

Visited this place yesterday for watching Final of FIFA World Cup. The place was little crowded but we managed some seats for us. Ambience of the place is good and the food was excellent. They have maintained good bar counter (Best in Kochi) and the service is also decent. Will recommend this place to all who want to hangout with friends over drinks.....

By reading a lot about this place, I went to this place to check it out. I was having my buddy with me, we both are in mezzo for the first time. We had a couple of 🍻 and a cocktail 🍸 at the end to wrap it up, woah man I was as hell as drunk in this place, basically I loved the experience. We had some roasted peanuts and salsa sauce with papad, well can’t say it’s great but defenitely good. Overall it’s a good place to chill, it’s pricey but not too much pricey.

Visited the place as part of a spontaneous decision to drink when I was with friends. A quick search and some asking around made us realise that there aren't really many options for drinking in a good ambiance at a not too expensive place within Kochi.<br/><br/>With Fort Kochi being too far for the odd hours that we were in, we settled for Mezzo, which was the most recommended.<br/><br/>On a Monday, at 9pm, the place was full. After waiting for a few minutes we contemplated moving out, but just then a table got empty for us. It was the outdoor smoking area, on a hot night, but we didn't mind. And thankfully, it didn't turn out to be too hot for us nor were there too many smokers for us to be disturbed.<br/><br/>We had beers and a basket of fries, which was delicious and I stuffed myself up with. For four people, the bill was surprisingly low and reasonable.<br/><br/>We had a great time and I shall definitely return to this place, now that I know there is something good thankfully close by and when I do not have to go all the way to Fort Kochi.

We had a great time there.. We spent almost the entire evening... The food was great.. The staff extremely courteous... Especially ashraf (sorry if I've got the name wrong) .. Will be definitely going back there...

Tops my favorite place in kochi to chill. The service is excellent and the prices are pretty peaceful too. The music here is very much a plus point. Mostly electronic music being played here.Good vibes in here to socialize too.

They serve the best mojitos in town. The beer here is unadulterated. Their herb grilled chicken, fries, chicken club sandwich and fish fingers are a must try. They have a variety of shots and cocktails to choose from. They also have a smoking area with seating. The ambience is amazing and beautiful. The seating is also done well and in clever manner.

Found a nice plce to chill in Kochi.. Being in the heart of the city it gives you a feel of Blore life! Loved the food though found it a bit over priced.. Good crowd.. Maybe if the crowd was divided by age people would love it more.. Being a youth would not love the side tables to be occupied by Uncles (no offence)!

Service was very slow, took more than half an hour for the food to come and was cold, told them to heat but still cold. The staff were arguing with us when e said the food is cold and tried to defend themselves. Were hesitant in giving a refund but agreed.

Worst place to visit in Kochi. Came here twice. Never got a place even after waiting. Worse is the behavior of staff. They simple give preferences on their own. When asked they are prompt to say "we can do whatever we want, we run the place". In all my life I have never visited a place like this. Totally disgusted and utterly disappointed. Hope the senior management takes notice.......

Maybe if you are in cochin and you compare with the rest of the bars available, this one is a standout. As a stand alone place, i must say its pretty average. Its at the loby of the hotel, which is like the worst place to have a bar. Ambience is decent, air conditioning could be better. Music is average and played at a pretty low volume. For smokers, there is a separate smoking area which is pretty impressive. The alcohol is slightly expensive compared to kerala standards..but i guess its required to ensure quality of crowd. Food is decent-they serve finger food-nothing to brag about though. Its a nice quite place - safe to take women as well. More than anything, in case you want some solitude..this is an awesome place to be alone, have couple of drinks in peace!

They finally got their liquor license back.. All the bars/clubs/etc in Kochi and this is the one place that still packs it.. Love this place...

I think this is one of the few happening places in Kochi... Their dragon squid was really good. Lounge with good service, good ambiance and music. Surprised to see a Kochi restaurant fully packed even on a Monday. This place have become my favorite in Kochi :-)

Was surprised to see such a house packed restaurant, ambiance and service was good. Ordered for thai food, wasn't that great and red curry had a different smell compared to authentic Thai red curry I had outside India. So Thai food not really a great dish to try!!!

My favourite place in Cochin. The ambience is excellent and the service is outstanding. The sliced beef, spare ribs and oriental roast pork are delicious. Steaks are also good. This is the place to go to if you want get together with your friends, have a beer, eat good food and chill.

Visited this Lounge yesterday...located at the heart of the city on MG Road. One of the better places with cozy seating and perfect lighting to gulp some beers. <br/>The music is a little confusing.... please get ur genres rite and stick on to some good lounge vibes.<br/>The food is good... A good warm lounge. One of the best lounge bars in Kochi, although now just serving beer and wine, still a great place to hang around with your buddies. They have a wonderful smoking area filled with tables, making it an idle comfortable spot. The food is okay. Not great, not the worst but just okay. Prefer hitting this spot during their happy hours and for a little night life thrills.

One of the few places that serve alcohol in Kerala. For the moment it's just beer and wine but at really affordable prices. Went there for an impromptu lunch with a client. We tried the dragon squid and the chicken Ceaser salad. Both were amazing. Dragon squid with Mayo was heavenly. Because I was trying this for the first time.. it was lovely. The salad could've been done better. But was ok. The service was a lil bit slow. While I was waiting, I wasn't offered a glass of water at all. It was only when orders were placed that the water was provided as well. The music played at the background was not so loud, so it was possible to have a nice conversation. There is an outdoor seating arrangement if you want to smoke.

I kinda find mezzo a bit too expensive for its standards. It's on the ground floor adjacent to the hotel lobby . <br/>They have a smoking area with tables out side which is a plus , now on the food.<br/><br/>I am a pork person and they have good options on pork , so I ordered the pork ribs . <br/>when it arrived , it's looked so good .<br/><br/>I could smell the pork with the caramelized brown sause . Until I tasted the meat it had a distaste . I brought this to their concern but was told the pork is fresh and hence the "fresh" taste<br/><br/>What a load of Bull shit , I have cooked pork like countless times and the meat never tasted weird if it's fresh. Meat is one thing you know you can't risk, hence i stopped eating and told them to take it back and 86 it . <br/><br/>But at the end I was billed for if and when I told them that I was not happy with my dish .<br/>After waiting for like 20 mins they didn't bill me for the pork ribs.<br/><br/>Never in my life will I step foot in Mezzo . What's sad is right out side they have a cafe with serves decent food hence the 2 rating .

A very good option for a chilled beer with amazing food. My personal favourite is there Dragon Squid and Sliced beef with burnt garlic on pan fried noodles. Sliced beef is just beyond words.

We were misled by Zomato which told us that Mezzo has a full bar. It is situated in a 4 star hotel and so can as per the new regulation serve only beer and wine. Moving on to the review- another nice place to spend a rainy evening in Kochi amongst friends. We might have been served some rubbery calamari and cold prawns but the entire feel of the place coupled with some good music made up for it. Worth another visit and this time shall make more informed choices while ordering.

It's unfortunate the liquor regulations make this place shut too soon, because it's a great place to get a drink in town. The bbq spare ribs and sliced tenderloin are a) really very good and b) legendary in its consistency. Have been going again. Will be going again.

Truly one place you must never miss in city. Awesome ambiance with such great interior works. Try to visit this place in the evening. I tried their Angels on horse back, so tasty and mouth watering. But a bit expensive for the quantity they serve.

Mezzo is an Italian restaurant best-known for its starters and drinks. <br/><br/>Ambience- Music was a bit too loud, seating was comfortable. There is outdoor seating available too. <br/><br/>Parking- Plenty available<br/><br/>Dragon Squid- Golden-fried calamari was the right amount of crisp, delicious. <br/><br/>Oriental Mushroom-Peppery and flavourful, never expected a veggie starter to taste this good. <br/><br/>Fettuccini Alfredo- The sauce was too creamy and highlighted the taste of flour. It was okay. Nothing great. <br/><br/>Seafood Marinara- Pasta in red sauce, sauce was good it was a mixture of calamari and prawns in a tomato base but not incorporated well with the pasta. <br/><br/>Mexican Chocolate Cake with Custard- Very funny dish we couldn't stop laughing when it arrived, tiny piece of chocolate cake right in the middle surrounded by overly-sweet and loose custard. Didnt taste good at all.

The food here is good one thing for sure to try for is the pork ribs. They have an excellent they use in it. Its juicy and delicious. Service overall is good. Locating this place might be a bit confusing for a newbie all in all a great place. Would certaily recommend this place to anyone visiting the city.

We went to Mezzo for a late lunch/evening snacks after a movie...Since,we went on a sunday afternoon it wasnt crowded..Infact we were the only ppl in the cafe..The ambience and the decor looks amazing..The service was good enough in the beginning..Post ordering we had to wait nearly an hour for the food, inspite of repeatedly reminding them..The food was decent, and wasnt that hot..Its a good place to hang out with ur friends and while away ur time

Great place to chill out. Very few places are there in kochi to go and have a drink and this is one of the happening one.but ya nothing so happening there,they just have beer and wine,but great food.<br/>Must try are dragon chicken,fried prawns,passion fruit icetea nd obviously the drink.<br/>Ambiences is quite good with a different smoking area.<br/>BEST PART IS THE HAPPY HOURS!!!!

The best place to just relax and have great food. The ambiance is awesome. They have a very good menu, have tried most of their dishes except Bacon and each one was great. The steaks are great so are the salads and starters. Do try their batter fried prawns. The staffs are courteous. They also have an open area just by the side in case you wanna have a smoke.  Hats off to avenue regent for having 3 eateries ( Mezzo, Springs & Cocoa tree), each one being awesome in their own way. No other hotel in Cochin can boast of having 3 equally good eateries.

Mezzo serves authentic food with great flavouring and sauces. I fried pork here for the first time, and was pretty surprised! - It wasn't bad! Pork chops and pastas - is good :)

Mezzo patron. The best thing about this place is the Stewards. Their service is exceptional. Each and everyone of them. A few drawbacks:1.High cost, 2.They have really boring happy hours, e. High time they changed the jazz (sounds like porn) music they play every single day. In loop!! Happy hours is just applicable to beer, would be good if wine had happy hours too. Despite the high cost and sad happy hours(irony), the brilliant staff and food makes up for it. Great outdoor and indoor ambience. One place right in the middle of the city to grab a drink with or without company(sometimes u need a drink alone). Every evening here is buzzing busy. Compared to the city standards, Mezzo is highly recommended. I must tell add that on a Saturday night in Kochi. You cannot get a place to sit after 7. Each and every table will be full and the place is full of energy. <br/><br/>So, I went there yesterday. And guess what, they changed the music!! we always used to get so bummed out about the music there. And now finally after ages they upgraded. Good job!!

My favorite place to go drinking in Cochin, the dragon squid is to die for, so are the chicken lollipop and the pork ribs, the spaghetti with meat balls is just divine!! And what's a nice place right in the middle of the city but then it feels like you are away from everything. Love this place!! They should maybe change the upholstery of the couches they have over there.. Otherwise it's just a really beautiful experience to go there.

The Pork ribs, Dragon squid are great side eats that go along with the beer. Though prices are slightly on the higher side, the portions are decent.<br/><br/>If you are in MG road and need a place to just relax, grab a beer and savor some great finger food, this is the place to be.Kochi badly needs more places like these. But with our government and their draconian policies.......not happening.

One of the best places to grab some grub in kochi. The Chilly beef and the Mexican chocolate cake is to die for!<br/><br/>The seating isn't as comfortable as one would want but that's just me trying to find fault with something. <br/>

I've been here several times over the past 2 years.<br/> In Kochi, its probably one of the better places to go get a drink with friends and family. They also have a small closed outdoor space, where one an enjoy a drink with a smoke. Very comfortable little space. They do not serve wine by the glass.The food is reasonable. We've tried the beef, pork, chicken and seafood - starters and main course. Special mention for their beef tenderloin. It was awesome! Cooked to perfection. <br/>Staff are also very courteous. I only wish they were a little quicker. I've noticed that the service is generally a bit slow.

The best steak in kochi. Try their beef well done it's simply fabulous. Also prawns tampoora though not in the menu chef joushua is great at this dish. Every item on this menu is exactly how it should be.

Mezzo is one of my fav places in cochin. Everything in their is good though i haven't tried all. There is this one beef starter which is absolutely great. I think its called sliced tenderloin in garlic or something like that. No matter how many times i have had it i never get sick of it. It comes in 6 kinda big pieces, good enough for 2 persons. We ordered garlic bread with it which was crispy and good too. Then came angels on horseback. Its nothing but bacon wrapped big prawns. Its kinda heavy dish mainly coz of bacon which comes in good quantity. Never the less its another yummy dish.

The most likely hideout in M.G.Road called cocoa tree which is buzzing with people is situated right next to this tiny bistro, so to speak. Loved the food especially the presentation which deserves applause. Lamb was succulent in all forms and the prawn cocktail was exquisite. They know how to do their steaks as well and great ambience to my liking.

One of the few classy places in Cochin which gives you a chance to actually seat yourself down and have a lovely evening chatting and relaxing with someone, be it a friend, or a loved one! :) The soft flowing music adds to the ambience of Mezzo, which is located in the lobby of Avenue Regent Hotel, bang in the middle of MG Road, Cochin. The highlight of Mezzo undoubtedly has to be the absolutely mouth-watering dishes they serve! It is truly delightful when every dish you order turns out to taste awesome and doesn't disappoint you. A separate smoking area sees to it that the smokers are kept happy and not turned away from Mezzo. The lobby bar and restaurant at avenue regent on my road. Has a closed outside area and a lobby restaurant. Usually frequented cause it's one of those few places where people can smoke and drink and get some good grub. The bacon wrapped prawns and prom ribs are good to go with the drinks.<br/>
