Review Waffle Express - Kochi (Cochin)

Good waffles and ice cream. My only piece of feedback would be that the waffles were kind of dense. Definitely stop in if you're craving a good dessert!

Best waffles in Kochi!

I was d sole customer when I visited this place and i did check the place out very well with the only staff cooking for me in d cookery ! The time was just afternoon when I reached there at d Napier Street and d staff was starting his day's work by cleaning d tables .. he greeted me , gave me d menu and quickly finished what he was doing .. I ordered a 'Choco Express Waffle with Vanilla Ice Cream' from there and it took around 20 mins to reach me .. To be honest it felt very average to my taste buds although it was exquisite to my retinas ! There is a 'wash' , if u r willing to find it ! A piece of advice would be not to lean up against the walls while sitting or else u may be going home with their 'valuable and expensive whitewash' on your back !

Restaurant ambience is good and the staff was courteous. The waffles are amazing, I tried the cinnamon apple waffle and I could taste the flavor in each and every bite. The waffle was soft and fluffy in texture and didn't get soggy after soaking in the ice cream. Would go there again, if possible.

For some reason, I had Waffles on my mind all day, so decided to try out Waffle Express that evening after Mass at the Basilica with a friend. <br/>The Nutella and Peanut butter waffle was a recommendation by a very polite young man working there (I assume the owner himself).<br/>The ambience was cozy, not too noisy either. <br/>Though the wait was longer than expected, once he placed the plate in front of me, I forgot all about it. The presentation was insane! <br/>The waffle texture was softer than usual (which made me feel like it was slightly undercooked), but I concluded that it was just really hot, and with all that Nutella, peanut butter, banana slices and ice cream, it didn't really matter. Everything was well spread out with any flavour overpowering the other.<br/>The quantity is enough for 2. <br/>We also ordered a Cold Coffee (which could be thicker) and an Americano. <br/>Total spent: Rs. 350/-

After being highly recommended by a friend we finally tracked this place down on a hot afternoon. Found ourselves in a small space with an always smiling staff who immedietely gave us the menu. Since we were the only customers there, we could spread out and use the space well.. and the service was prompt.. staff friendly.. who were also nice enough to let us charge our phones there :) we ordered the pancakes, cheese tomato n cucumber stuffed waffles and the classic choco stop.. apart from a bit of sugar rush we found the place great! The drinks we ordered were the crushers - litchi, mango and guava which were all really rich and close to heaven on a sunny hot day.. A small tip, try mixing the drinks a bit ;) We also tried the hazelnut coffee which featured quite often in the review book left at the desk.. The lemonade though was slightly sour towards the end.. On the whole a must try out place for waffle lovers.. do not miss it!

This is a great place with a brilliant location a few metres from the beach. The ambience is perfect for a waffle shop and the setting too is perfect.<br/><br/>Coming to the food, my-oh-my the quantity is almost double compared to the other waffle place in Kochi and the taste is also quite great. The prices are low. The hot chocolate is amazing. The only problem i found was that the knives wernt sharp enough and required a bit excess force to cut through those delicious waffles.<br/><br/>Also its served with ice cream, what are you waiting for? To waffle express.. :D

Absolutely loved the Spice Route waffle! I'm a sucker for the apple-cinnamon combination, and will have it on almost anything (my favourite is french toast!). Good value for money, but the iced tea could use some improvement.

Had been there with family, and wasn't looking for a traditional family restaurant either, the thought of waffles sent me straight over there. First off, the waffles were well made and worth the price, the problem that really gets to you is the wait time for it. It took an hour for me to get my chocolate waffle, when there weren't even any other customers waiting for theirs. They had included three micro scoops of choc ice cream to go with it, ice cream being the most essential part that I would have wanted more spread over the waffle. Not sure why the compromise on stuff that could immensely improve the quality of food.<br/><br/>In short, the waffles are prepared decently well, if only they could improve on their infrastructure to serve people faster, and take note of what's mentioned above.

I went here after reading the review. Well, I've definitely had better waffles. I had a regular waffle with nutella filling. The waffle was very hard and there wasn't enough nuttela to call it nutella filling. I'm must say the ambience was good, all though it's a really small place.

A small calm place with some amazing range of waffles and crushers... The menu is a brief one and does not leave you confused with unwanted variants..<br/>The waffles served are of a perfect texture.. It is a small waffle joint in the famous neighbourhood of Fort Kochi, the Napier Street. A neat, cute and cozy place with very welcoming staff. The waffle with nutella and vanila ice cream is a must try. The varieties of crushers with the special pearls is outstanding. Went in search of bubble tea, however ended up having a pina colada crusher with pearls instead.. They gave much care to provide your personalised waffles plus made special mention regarding the feedback on social media

Waffle Express is a small cafe with good Americano and bad waffles. I ordered a mixed-berry waffle. The waffle itself was good but instead of mixed berries, what was served was a coating of some synthetic fruit jam. The processed sugar it contained made my head spin. I hope they can do better with their syrups and toppings. Place has good ambience. Is very clean and staff very good. A lovely place for some really delicious waffles. Make sure to ask for the off menu dishes like - waffle sausage , egg waffle etc.. A really friendly service and helpful staff .

A sweet little place, that offers yummy food. A limited menu, which is sure to give you something that would suit your taste bud. Bonus marks for the service. Very friendly staff. U feel welcomed :-)

An excellent joint. Good food, great ambience , excellent hospitality. Must try their speciality waffle - peanut butter chocolate crossover !! Yes, their kiwi crusher is worth trying too. If u r a waffle lover, this is the place. Even if you are not, a must visit! Cheers

Waffle Express, like the name suggests, has a menu predominately serving waffles. I tried the chocolate waffle, which was fairly priced at Rs.129 and had oodles of chocolate sauce in it along with dollops of nutella. But the waffle itself was soft and soggy and rather bland in taste. I'm not sure I'm going back for waffles there.

We entered there late night when they were almost going to close. But the young owner took our order and sat with us and told us how he started a small joint exclusive for waffles. Their visit to Belgium and encounter with waffles led them to leave their professional jobs and start this venture. We got our simple waffles with strawberry preserve. It was simple and nice. Would like to explore more in the coming days. The joint is set in an old warehouse converted into an amiable space. Wish them good luck.

For a place that serves only waffles, the variety was slightly disappointing. Having said that, the available selection is quite nice. The waffles are nicely made, the ambiance is plain yet cozy. It's worth a visit for sure.

The newly introduced chicken mayonnaise waffle. A perfect combination of Chicken, Mayonnaise and Waffle, Worth the hype, well flavoured chicken with perfect seasoning. Highly recommended.

Waffle Express is a newly opened clean and neat café and waffle place in Fort Kochi. There are a few other Waffle selling chains across Kochi but what makes this place special is that it is a stand alone café located in the tranquil streets of Fort Kochi. You would love to visit this place if you are in a mood of sweet, chocolate-oozing, delicious waffles which are made perfectly.<br/><br/>The menu is limited but fantastic – even if you’re a group of 10, you will find one different waffle for oneself. So, apart from the Classic Waffles available all across, they have the Chocolate Infused Waffle that comes with oodles of Chocolate Chips, Chocolate Icecream and Chocolate Sauce. And of course, the infusion of Chocolate means that the Waffle batter has Chocolate in it. So, essentially that is Overload of Chocolate!<br/><br/>The other Classic Waffle I tried came with Vanilla Icecream and Chocolate Chips. All the waffles I tried, tasted fantastic and they were done to finesse. The service of the place is really good and the people here are warm and friendly. They can also customize the waffles however you like, the icecreams, toppings and much more.<br/><br/>They also have some coolers, drinks and milk shakes aboard and they are great too. A little cozy place , that specialises in waffles , slush and coffees ... A lovely ambience , the place might be underrated because the waffles are delicious and totally worth the price we pay , good quality and friendly staff and service , not to mention the free wifi 😅. There are a lot of varieties in the menu for waffles , I don't recall the names ! But this one was just chocolate chocolate and chocolate 😍, along with hazelnut coffee !

Great waffles for India!! <br/>Tried the Cookie Wheels, which is make of Oreos :) <br/><br/>Staff were really nice, they had run out of Oreos but went to the shops to buy some in order to make our waffle! Very kind!

Waffle Express is one of the places which has been placed wisely in Fort Kochi in the heart of town. The place is small so it means waiting time is a nasty thing. My favorite waffle is the Choco Stop. Tasted most of their items in the menu. N the best part is FREE WiFi.
