Review The Grill Lab - Kochi (Cochin)

One of the best burgers in town. Definitely try there beef burgers. They have good choices of beverages, we ordered thirst quencher and lime juice both we’re really good. The service is ok and very small space hardly for a 15 to 20 people maximum. The only negative is parking facilities very limited space for car parking but definitely have space for two wheelers.

This place is an absolute burger haven and my all-time favourite. Their burgers are a culinary delight, with perfectly grilled patties, fresh ingredients, and a range of mouthwatering toppings. Every visit leaves me craving for more, and I can't wait to go back. It's undoubtedly the best place for burgers, and I'll be a regular customer here for sure.

The Derelicts Burger from The Grill Lab can be rightfully described as a juicy mess. The meat fillings were succulent with the occasional kick from the jalapenos, portion size was as expected, bun was not dry, and overall was great. It was on the saltier side but not overly so. Deliveries come in an eco-friendly box with no other plastics being used 👍🏼. The Burgraphy remains my pick, but for the price, The Derelicts Burger is worthy enough. EDIT: Had the Beast Wrap, it was HUGE! Can be had by 2 people or by a single person with a BEAST of an appetite! Had the signature Grill Lab flavours with huge chunks of chicken strips, beef patty, fries and eggs. EDIT 2: The one and only Burgraphy!

After my interview nearby, I was looking for a place that I can relax and eat a nice bite of lunch. I came across this place and stepped in. The restaurant is quite small and has a few tables making it quaint. There are no waiters and you can scan the menu as well as order on the same page. I got cheesy garlic bread which was quite yummy and a cheese burger, that was filling. I washed it all down with a refreshing lime juice. 😌 The place is nice and affordable. I loved the taste of their food and the ambience. Highly recommended.

A cozy place to enjoy yummy burgers. My fav is the messy burger (burgaphy). Unlike some of the other burger joints we have been to, this place was quite a pleasant experience. Neat and contemporary decor and just the right size to accommodate people who prefer to dine in. **P.S : These burgers are best enjoyed as dine-in instead of a takeout.

One of those lazy afternoons done right!❤️ Words for sure cannot describe the impeccable experience that i had at this burger joint. Been wanting to try their burgers for a while now and trust me, the wait was all worth it. One downside would be the limited seating as it is just adequate to accomodate a few. Would definitely want them to have a look at that and the limited parking space on site. Putting those little niggles aside, the star of the show is their burgers. I would hand over the crown of the best burgers to them for now as they keep up with their taste and quality ticking all the right boxes. I mean, who would've thought of bringing out a mac and cheese burger to the menu?🤩 Well, i got to try the Galileo single patty burger and the pulled pork burger. The patty was well done and the taste was just good with the right amount of mix of flavors that left a certain gasm on my tastebuds. Their menu is decently priced and is at par with the competition but stands a step ahead in terms of their unique burger options. Would definitely recommend this place to all you burgerholics and anyone who would want to try a wonderful burger. Will keep coming back and extra brownie points for the excellent service by the staff on site.

WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! This was actually our second time coming here! Both times were memorable due to the experience and high quality customer service we received from Dheeraj!!! Customer service My initial time coming here with my friend was because it was so hot outside. We did not know about this place before. We only ordered fresh lime drinks at the time. Dheeraj, the manager was so kind and professional!!! He allowed us to sit, cool off, and we enjoyed a brief conversation with him! Due to his excellent customer service we never forget about this place and said we would come back. We had a special event and came back today. Once again Dheeraj was very welcoming, professional, and super friendly!!! He even allowed us to play our favorite songs!!! Once again we enjoyed a brief conversation with him, and he recommended some awesome dessert (Hot fudge brownie) and also their rich hot chocolate! Because of the occasion we went with his recommendation of the Fudge Brownie with vanilla Ice cream topping!😋😋😋 Food The food was absolutely delicious!!! I am very picky about American style burgers!!! It exceeded my expectations!!! Every bit was wonderful!!! We also had Macaroni and cheese, and cheese pizza with Chicken and Olives😋😋😋 Bon appetite!!!! Visited on July 2023. The cafe is small with a seating capacity of some 15 people. But the interior is very nice and have positive vibes. The decors really make the place beautiful. Here are the dishes we tried; 1. Lime soda - this was disappointing as there is not much flavour of lime and totally felt like drinking sweet soda water. 2. French Fries - good quantity for 130rs 3. Burgraphy Burger - 420rs... The quality is worth mentioning and highly recommended. It can be finished by two people. 4. Thick hot chocolate - I have tried hot choc frm 3 or 4 places in Ernakulam and all of them seems to be using some powdered choc powder. But here, they are serving melted chocolate and is the best I have tasted till now..Too sweet in taste.

To start off, your welcomed to the restaurant with pleasant smiling faces added with the ambience of the restaurant i.e. music being played, paintings from various places and lighting of the shop is so peaceful and has got a very relaxing feel to it. Being one the people who have tried almost everything on the menu, each dish tastes incredibly amazing and mouth watering. I recommend the TGL Meat Lover's Pizza with Jalapeños and extra Cheese and TGL Cheese Burger it’s filling and tastes too good. Everyday the chef adds an item to the specials menu, and it’s to die for. One of things from deserts you got to try is The Dark Chocolate Brownie Shake; it will definitely take you to your happy place.

This lab feels more like a living room or a bachelor pad..... Very unique style and a comfy ambiance. Once you enter you have a laid back feeling. Welcomed by a wonderful couple, and their super chef. Their burgers are delicious and meaty, they are generous in their servings. But their chocolate brownies are out of this world. Its soft, moist and dreamy....!!! Its definitely one of the best I have had in kochi. Thanks guys for delicious meal....

Found a great lunch place. I had eaten half my hamburger before I could stop and take picture. Mine was double patty with blue cheese between and cheddar on top. Alex had steak and mushroom plus spaghetti. We had already finished fries and garlic bread. Had to take away her burger plus two excellent looking brownies. Will report on those later. Looks like a new favorite place.

Amazing ambience and the food is just out of the world! I have never tasted a better burger till date. Their Jaw Breaker Burger was way over expectation and definitely worth the hype. And for such a pretty looking dish, it served the purpose of my taste pallets as well, all of them �

Went there today. Ordered a TBL pizza and a lemon iced tea. The pizza lacked flavour and the ice tea had a bad strong taste. Used to love this place before, now never going back again !

I was here last night.. The food was excellent... But I guess it was the music that was played and the overall ambience that had me swooning. The music really peaked my interest and not even one commercial music played. With that being said.. The food especially the pepperoni pizza is drool worthy. Kudos :)

I ordered a pulled chicken burger from here..the description clearly says about cheese and coleslaw..but the burger I received didn't contained any of these things..it was just chicken and buns..by comparing the price they charge and the dish I got without cheese and coleslaw it's damn expensive..the burger was so dry ..

The garden burger was excellent! I didn’t care for the Mac and cheese- no cheese... it was more like Alfredo sauce which I don’t really like. Was hoping for the cheesy flavor. But I would definitely order the garden burger again.

The burger beef patties had bones in it ...it wasnt crispy or juicy ...it was just boiled ..and a bad stale smell coming from the patties .The chilly beef fries were disastrous ,the potato had the skin on it and the cheese sauce had a very bad taste ...coming to the beef pizza ..its just the base with some cheese in it ..no beef ...no toppings...nothing ...moreover I had to chew the base like a chewing gum ordered food from here seeing the reviews...now I really doubt who gave the reviews ...I feel its manipulated ...if u want best burgers and fries in kochi go for THE BURGER JUNCTION...they justify their reviews and their menu ...improvement in cooking is required not ordering from here again 🙏.

A small cozy place that churns out possibly the best ever Hot Chocolate I have had in my life so far. So damn loved every sip of it, infact I couldn't seem to finish a whole cuppa all by myself thankfully I had company to finish it. Having fallen for their HC I wanted to try it one more time and also had to try their burgers because I heard them to be real good and damn I wasn't let down. The burgraphy was definitely the best.... with *starting from the bottom* Beef Patty, Melted Cheese, Lamb Pepperoni, Fried Chicken, Caramelized Onions, Peri Peri Fries, Fried Eggs along with in-house mayo lavishly spread all smooched between two warm toasty buns, a bite through all those layers in itself is a task! Had the Fatty burger from grill lab, it was a juicy and good burger.<br/>But for a price tag of 300+, i dont know whether it is worth it, or atleast they could have put out some fries alongside when they charge so.<br/>Ambience is a blend of retro+hippy.<br/>Overall a normal joint for a quick bite

One of the only places in Kochi with some proper grilled food. They do justice to their name. Everything from their grill to their french fries is well put out. Would have given 5 stars if not for the bad service and small space they have.

We feel that the quality of food is going down.<br/>This time, we ordered a thick hot chocolate, mac n cheese fries and a beef steak sandwich. The Mac n cheese fries were good but it used to be better. The sandwich was highly greasy and had more of the beef fat than the beef meat.<br/>For the thick hot chocolate, i guess our expectation was wrong and that's why the order felt bad. We expected it to be a thick cream and chocolate instead it was more like molten chocolate sauce .<br/><br/>We visited a month back and ordered pizza but was not at all satisfied with its taste then too.<br/><br/>All visits we made at least a 4 months back were actually good.<br/><br/>We hope that the food quality would come back to how it used to be.<br/><br/>NOTE: The ambience is really good. The burgers at grill lab is the definition of a worth it burger experience. Yes the pricing could be a little affordable and the aesthetic seemed a little cramped and the lighting is not their strong suit. But if you are okay with all that TGL offers one of the best burgers in town. Trust me you wont be disappoint they are greasy messy oily and packed with flavour everything you want in a burger they got it and they have cracked the recipe to a meat lover's fantasy . We tried the Trump Head and it was a triple beef patty with cheese melted in between. It was absolute treat.<br/><br/>Suggestion:<br/><br/>1) if you are pricing a burger for more than 300 ₹ offer some fries alongside the coleslaw<br/>2) shakes and drinks can be improved majorly<br/>3) aesthetic is pretty dope but the lighting isn't<br/><br/>#burgerbucketlistachievement<br/>#peace<br/><br/>

Pasta from grill lab has always been an absolute delight for me. However the star is the thirst quencher.It is a perfect blend of mint, lemon and cucumber. Absolutely loved it!!!!

We ordered the Classic chicken burger and Fatty burger, and cold coffee to wash it down. Burgers were extremely delicious. Juicy and flavorful patty with buttered, soft, toasty buns and lovely melted cheese. One among the best burgers I have had.<br/><br/>Unfortunately the cold coffee was the worst I have had till date. It was watery with more ice than milk (refer the picture) and tasted very bad. But the burger definitely compensated for that. Hopefully you guys improve your cold coffee.<br/><br/>The rates are on the expensive side, but really good burgers in the city cost so much.<br/><br/>The Grill Lab is a tiny cozy place with a really nice and dark ambience. Proper parking space is not available for this cafe as it is on the side of a road leading to Palarivattom junction.<br/><br/>Would I come back for more? Yes I would love to come back to try more of their delicious burgers.

Worst Pizza in town. Hands down. Ordered a 12' margherita for 400 bucks. This is what a I get. Less than 10'. Don't even get me started on the taste. Sour and bland. And on top of that the restaurant was kind enough to NOT INCLUDE any chillie flakes, oregano nor sauce. Worst experience ever.

Ranks among the best burgers I've had in my life. They got all the elements right in the pulled pork burger that I had. Lovely experience. Can't wait to visit again to see what else they have to offer. Slightly on the expensive side but well worth the premium that you pay.

I've been to Grill Lab when it was in Edapally and I loved the restaurant then. The recent visit to the palarivattom Grill Lab was not a great experience. I had ordered a commando fries which costed 250 Rs but was so small in quantity and tasteless. (If you're a fan of fries try messi fries at TBJ). The burgers came in next which was a pulled chicken burger I loved back when the shop was in Edapally. Now the burger is just too dry. The thick hot chocolate drink was great. Overall, the shop has overpriced almost every item on menu.

Food ordered: thick hot chocolate, commando fries, spaghetti carbonara (veg), pulled chicken burger.<br/><br/>Firstly, there are only 2 vegetarian options in the entire food menu. There definitely used to be more. The hot chocolate is really good but since it's too rich, you can only share it and not have it entirely by yourself.<br/>The commando fries that we ordered were average and not too great. The spaghetti carbonara was cheesy in taste but still quite bland. Maybe a little more flavor could be added. Definitely enjoyed my previous visits than this one.

As a general rule, it is rare to find legitimate, real bacon in India, but this place is a very rare exception. The burgers are also very good, and are of a much higher quality than most of the other burger places around here.

The food is cool but had some issues while using zomato gold here. They charged me for left overs and it was almost the price of that dish rest everything was cool. They have good varieties of burgers and pasta’s to try on. Grilled Chicken strips are awesome!!!

It was beef burger. We had asked the person if it was spicy burger . The person replied saying it was having the spice of just the Jalapeño. So we told him we wanted spicy burgers. He said we had to adjust with the Tobasco sauce. we felt that the cheese overpowered the beef patty taste. Felt less flavourful. Have had better burger than this.<br/>Ordered Mac and cheese burger... They serve delicious burgers and grill platters. It's a must visit restaurant in Kochi. You can also pre-order a Coronary Bypass Burger, which weighs around 2kgs.

Went to Grill Lab in the evening Ordered Spicy Fries and Tangy Sauce Chicken Wings. Spicy Fries was great. But chicken wings was a disappointment.The Chicken was hard. Serving quantity is less and Over priced.<br/>Service was pretty average.This is hot summer, they should serve the customer with Water. This is Pretty basic. <br/>Ambiance was great.

I have been to grill lab couple of times and I loved this place for their pastas<br/>And all of a sudden this time I felt so bad that the minute I walked in and said I am a gold member, they were annoyed and started off by saying gold offer is not available on food available only on beverages. It went to that extent that I got up and left that place . The only reason why I visited the place was because it's a gold hotel. I drove all the way to listen to this. If they don't want to give gold offer please take your name off the platforms so that people are not misled. Goodwill weighs in gold than a few rupees.<br/>I have decided never ever to step in this place.<br/>

The food here is great, large sized portions and vast variety of burgers and other dishes to choose from, I wouldn't say these are the best burgers in town, maybe in the top 5. Pricey though, and the spacing is less.

Only the larger burgers are worth having, the smaller ones are horrendous, like the Crispy Chicken Burger.<br/><br/>Word of advice: If you are using gold, don't come here. The menu is dynamic. It changes all the time. 2 weeks back, we visited this restaurant and we had Jawbreaker. This time, apparently the Jawbreaker has been removed from the Gold menu and now, only 6 burgers, all of them under 220 are available along with a few sandwiches and pastas. Recommendation: The Fatty Burger, fries, Brownie flavor of the day<br/><br/>The Grill Lab has been one of Kochi folks’ favorite spots right from its inception. The tale of how it took being caught in a massive earthquake in Nepal to quit their corporate jobs and open up a quaint little joint dishing delicious meals surely appealed to the youth of our city. So their popularity came as no big surprise<br/> <br/>My cousin and I headed to The Grill Lab late one evening. The space was cozy and warmly lit. Two out of the six or so tables were occupied at that time of night. We took our seats and were handed the clipboard menu. While the concept of a clipboard is cute, I did feel like it looked a little tacky. The corners were frayed and pages kept coming loose. However, the extensive menu surely had a bunch of dishes that caught my fancy.<br/><br/>I ordered a portion of The Fatty Burger for myself and my cousin, who is currently vegetarian, opted for the Margarita Pizza. We also ordered an Iced Tea and the Brownie flavor of the day – Nutella and Caramel.<br/><br/>The iced tea was brought out first and it was rather nice. You can never go wrong with tea. This was followed suit with my burger. It looked a little different than I expected, more egg than I had anticipated, but I took my food-picture and proceeded to bite into it. Turns out that I was brought the Lamb Pepperoni burger, and not The Fatty Burger. After much internal debate I pointed it out to the nice man serving us and he had it replaced<br/><br/>A few minutes later The Fatty Burger was brought forth. It looked absolutely delectable and came with a side of fries. The fries were heavenly, fried to crispy perfection with airy insides. I gathered up the burger and bit into my first messy bite. It was a thin crust pizza with crunchy burnt cheese. I do prefer the cheese to be a little less toasted but my cousin found it be done just the way he liked it.<br/> <br/>As I was having half my burger packed away in a doggy bag they brought the dessert – Nutella and Caramel brownie - to my table. To say it made my mouth water would be selling it short. It looked incredibly decadent and I couldn’t wait to dig in. It was way more fudge than brownie. We ended up cutting down the middle to see if we would encounter the dense cake but it was all fudge. However, each mouthful was a sinful level of good, and for that reason I would recommend you try it.<br/><br/>While the service and ambience were garden-variety, they’ve most definitely nailed it in the food department. Who doesn’t love big as* burgers and everyone have their favourites. Crafted burgers are hard to find or it’s limited to handful restaurants. Changing the way we eat burgers, along with help of my foodie friends I found the best burgers in Kochi! It’s The Grill Lab, a cozy place that looks like a music studio with elements of psychedelic themes and colours adorn the walls.<br/>.<br/>The cold coffee was too great for the price point and it has been served with steel straws. They are doing their small bit in conserving environment and I like it. Next up was the addictive hot chocolate. Hands down the best got chocolate and I’m going to visit them again and again for this. But mind you, it’s addictive!!!<br/>.<br/>The Pulled pork was next up and it’s such a classic burger. I could easily distinguish strands of delicate pork meat and what a delicacy. The smoky flavour was making me go for the next bite again and again. For ₹350 this chefs special dish was a deal! <br/>.<br/>We had another big boy burger on order, it’s called Burgraphy burger. A huge burger with multiple layers of deep fried chicken, french fries, pepperoni, eggs and sinfully dripping cheese. You can never finish it alone, so you better get company! This whopper was selling at ₹480 and it justifies the price. <br/>.<br/>Huge drawback is the menu eligibility for Zomato Gold is highly limited and doesn’t cover any chef’s special dishes. This is new, as I have used Zomato Gold across India and it mostly covers entire menu with exception of 1 or 2 dishes. The menu is excellent but Zomato Gold is limited to a few items. The burgers are very filling, large and juicy. The pricing is also reasonable. The ambience is average. It's a small space. The service is good.

Although the food’s good, it doesn’t compensate for how long you have to wait for it. I had to wait more than half an hour! Also, the service and staff are average at best.

Food was okay though the burger was heavy. But the best thing about this place is its vibe. These guys have the best music taste. Portraits of icons in the history of rock and roll music, sound of old school jazz, blues and psychedelic rock music through the speakers was an awesome experience.

The ambiance is good. Food is ok. Many items in the menu like pizza, pasta etc were not available when asked for ordering.<br/>Could have been great if items in the menu were available. The platter tasted good. A bit costly though!

A nice place to unwind and catch up with Friends. One of the best in town. They provide prompt services. The place is packed most of the time due to the novelty factor and the fact that the food here is amazing.

Well, THIS IS A DELIVERY REVIEW, not a DINE-IN review<br/><br/>I heard a lot about this restaurant. Many of my friends said many good things about this one and some of their signature items. So equally some of my friends have commented very badly about the restaurant, especially the attitude of its management team. Indirectly my sister who works in a leading college also expressed a negative review after her students who went to the place had a bad experience with the chef's attitude. Naturally, these things have slightly pulled me from visiting the place and I was a bit apprehensive. But to be very honest, I heard more positive reviews about their food and hence had higher hopes<br/><br/>Last day I ordered for the first time and I ordered a Crispy Chicken Burger with extra of sunny side up and blue cheese. Also I ordered Grilled chicken strips.<br/><br/>Well, these two were very ordinary for me. I didn't feel good with it. The burger was more on the sweeter side and not at all flavorful. I believe they use Sweet BBQ sauce as the main sauce which gave the sweeter taste. Normally in the majority of cafes in Kochi, they don't use sweet BBQ sauce. So I feel, they are much more authentic western than the Indianized ones in Kochi. So I won't blame as such. But it didn't appeal me personally. I strongly believe the buns were not fresh as it simply crumbled when I took the first bite. <br/><br/>Coming to the grilled strips, it was just average. Infact, its absolutely NOT FLAVOURFUL. Well, its okay if you make typical US/Western style grilled things which work there. But back in India, we expect some flavors. Its would be hard to eat a chicken just rubbed in salt, pepper, and some lime and grilled. I felt no other flavors in the bite. But it was of huge quantity. It's somewhat like chicken tikka in julienne cut. I didn't touch this one on that day<br/><br/>Let me profess, I re-cooked that grill strips next day using some sauces which I had in my kitchen along with a bit of Garam Masala and it turned out to be so good and made some good sandwiches with that. <br/><br/>Coming to the quality, barring the burger bread, rest all were fresh and good. The grilled strips which I took the next day was still good without any rubbery feel. So I believe, they have good quality management. <br/><br/>See, my review is strictly based on these two products I used which are NOT their signature dishes. Probably the other dishes in the list may be tasty. Anyway, the ones I tried out weren't something of my taste and that's why I am giving an average review. Definitely, I will edit this review when I visit their restaurant and try other options.

Good ambience. Less spacious. Good food and staff. They helped us with selecting items from menu. Good pizza. Could fill more than 2 tummies . Tried their steak sandwich. It tasted pretty good.

A very cosy and casual place with jolly order taker. The ambience was very soothing and the interior fitting to the theme. The drinks were good, and the burgers were just extraordinary. Mac and cheese burger I had was enormous and super tasty. A must visit place if you love gigantic burgers.<br/>

Visited grill lab on a weekend. We wanted to try the zomato gold for the first time. It is limited to a few items from the whole menu. We ordered for a grilled chicken burger and a garden pizza. The burger bun seemed a bit burnt. The pizza was fine but could have been better. We got ketchup and chilly flakes only when we asked. We also had a lime juice and we're pleasantly surprised to see a steel straw.. Good job there! Overall the ambience was fine a little café in the middle of a crowded place. Liked the interiors and music of the 80's. Hardly any parking space. Will visit again to try some other stuff in the menu.

I am a Zomato gold member and I faced a serious issue on my last Zomato gold visit in Grill Lab, Palarivattom. I checked the online menu in Zomato and visited the place but to my surprise I could see they have altered the menu in such a way that all most all the items in the restaurant now falls under a category they newly created "Chef's Special". <br/><br/>I have been using Zomato gold for quite some time now in Bangalore and Kochi and never faced issues of this extend anywhere.<br/><br/>However I need to mention the burgers that I tried were really good.<br/><br/>1 star for the fake menu and 5 stars for the food I ate.

I really loved the burgers.We ordered lambeggini,crispy chicken burger and pulled chicken burger.Lambeggini was not good as i expected.The rest two was perfect.The chicken was fried to perfection and the bun was soft for my liking.They accepts zomato gold without any hesitation.

The Burgers here are awesome. I had a crispy chicken burger priced at 200 and a hot chocolate priced at rs 150. The hot chocolate was thick. Absolutely delicious. An extraordinary place to come with friends(not too many though, it is a bit small)

I'm not writing this review because of the taste of the food but for the way they cheat zomato gold members. Today I happened to visit the restaurant for first time( I have visited earlier on numerous occasions) after I got the zomato gold membership. When we informed the waiter about the zomato gold, his first response was it's applicable only for items which is not under "CHEFS SPECIAL" and "Beverages". The funny thing is that about 80% of the items in their menu falls under these category.<br/>As we were first time users of zomato gold, we dint know much about it and we readily agreed with the waiter and ordered the other dish. But I just wanted to confirm about the particular issue with zomato and they informed me that every single item listed in the menu of a restaurant offering a la carte are obliged to offer the gold benefits to the members unless the items falls under " seasonal special menu, buffet, or any other item which is not listed in their regular menu card ". The zomato team contacted me and they informed me that the particular dish which j wanted to order falls under the regular dish category and the restaurant was supposed to make the gold benefits available to me.<br/>Even though the food served to me was decently good , the restaurant shouldn't have cheated their customer. I personally feel that for any business to thrive, honesty is one of the key factors.

Cafe like ambience.......the pizzas n burgers are very good.....even the shakes are nice...prices are a couple of bucks more compared to other cafe's....overall a good place to hangout....and by the way.....the place is always full....so chances of getting disappointed when you reach there high😅

I must say The Grill lab gives the best burgers in Kochi.. Had their Grilled chicken Burger and Crispy chicken burger as of now and they have never been less than a delight. Their special cheese and mayo fillings gives ultimate richness to the burgers.<br/><br/>Excellent service by the Grill lab team. Pricing goes pretty easy on the wallet and there is adequate value for money.<br/>Can't wait to visit again for their extensive menus.<br/><br/>

The Mac Chicken Fries . It's basically spicy fries topped with mac & cheese , chicken sausages, and a good portion of sliced grills chicken.The fries were divine and definitely worth the price , taste and quantity wise. A must try in Cochin 🤞

Went with lot of expectations but was very unsatisfied with the visit. They were very indifferent towards the zomato gold members. We were denied to order most of the dishes and the reason was that zomato gold was not applicable to those dishes. What we could order was only 20% of the total menu. Service towards gold members are also very poor and rude. The quality of the place is just average.They provide water in some low quality paper cups. A very cramped space. A lot of hype was put around but definitely not upto the mark. We had some of the worst experience as zomato gold members in here. Very expensive and not worth the experience.

The food is good so is the ambiance . The only thing that ticked me off was that the menus on Zomato shows all items as regular menu items. But when you reach the grill lab 80%of the menu is listed as Chef's special. I think this is a deliberate attempt to miss lead Zomato Gold members as Chef's special items are not offered on the 1+1 deal. So people heading there with a Zomato Gold membership beware. I was actually craving for pizza and tried the TGL Chicken Pizza(₹410). It was so juicy and cheesy with loads of chicken chunks. Then came the Chilli Cheese Fries(Chicken (₹210)). The fries were divine! From the beverages, tried Thirst Quencher(₹90) where I did not find anything special. Been hearing about this place for quite some time now and finally got a chance to dine here. Actually wanted to try out their burgers but it was quite late so we ended ordering other dishes.<br/><br/>We had a Cheese fries with Chicken for starter and a Meat lovers Pizza for main. The fries was good but the pizza was just average. I mean the topping of the pizza was really good but the base was very stiff and was not baked properly. We also had a Lemon Iced tea for drink which was ok.<br/><br/>Overall it was not a pleasant experience but I do recommend the management to expand the place to a bigger space as it is too congested to dine at.

So first came the Milkshake which was priced at 100 INR and it turned out to be one of the best milkshakes I have ever had !!! So rich and thick. I went to Grill Lab today with my friends and was severely disappointed with the service. At the onset, when we unlocked two golds, we were informed that we couldn’t avail zomato gold on any chef’s special items. However, Grill Lab has recently modified their menu so that a predominant portion of it falls within the purview of “chef’s special”. Although, we didn’t question the aforesaid as this discretion lies with the restaurant. Thereafter, we ordered two burgers as takeaway. When we called for the bill and enquired on the status of the takeaway, the server casually and unapologetically informed us that he forgot to place the order. Then, when we asked to pack the food (as per zomato gold policy, restaurant partners can refuse to pack the food) Grill Lab gave us the food but informed us that they wouldn’t consider one zomato gold since we asked for the food to be packed. This arbitrary and discretionary implementation of measures pertaining to zomato gold is really pathetic from a place that has potential due to its food. Grill Lab is taking advantage of the fact that Zomato Gold is relatively new to Kochi and that people aren’t acquainted with the technicalities and rules pertaining to gold. Moreover, the server who waited on us was brash, curt and unapologetic in the least about forgetting the order or the amount of time the food took to get to the table. Please avoid, if you can.

Had a very bad experience at the restaurant. The restaurant staff was rude and not welcoming. The items I ordered did not have all the ingredients as written in the menu. They gave lame excuses for it.<br/><br/>I would not recommend it to anyone who wishes to have a peaceful and tasty meal.

Heard a lot of positive reviews about this place and felt like giving a try. I was extremely lucky to get a seat during the peak hour. Well, coming to the food, I ordered a lemon Ice tea and their ‘Mac Chicken Fries’. Its basically spicy fries topped with mac & cheese, chicken sausages and a good portion of sliced grilled chicken. At ₹300, Mac Chicken Fries is worth the price taste wise & quantity wise. <br/>Definitely coming back to try more from their menu.

The food here can be a lot better. When you are going to a place like this, you obviously expect a little quality from here. I went here a couple of times and everytime I order a pizza, they keep giving me the same bad pizza. The experience here keeps getting worse and worse. If you love your tastebuds, please don't destroy it here!

As you all know, it consist of 3 layers of beef patty. Juicy and tasty burger which could fill your entire tummy.. It was mainly meat oriented..<br/>The only thing i wana say to them is, you could have added some extra sause.. Cause, when it comes to the core.. Its bit dry out there.. Other than that, it was freaking awesome 😊<br/>

Hands down, the best Hot chocolate makers in the city! I don't know what they add to it, but it is always delicious! It's not too sweet and is thick enough to scald your tongue pretty badly if u (like me) don't wait for it to cool down a bit 😁 but I'll always go back for more!<br/>Another dish I am unconditionally in love with is their Mac N Cheese Chicken Fries, which I always order with extra cheese and extra jalapenos. The Thirst Quencher (I prefer mine with salt) is a drink that can settle your tummy after a heavy meal (which I always have when I'm here!)<br/>And of course their brownies! I'm a forever fan of their Nutella Brownies.<br/>I'd say the place is on the pricier side, and reserve visits for special occasions or when I'm especially in a mood to indulge. I loved their old place better, but the new place has kept up the standard when it comes to the food they serve and the vibe you feel.<br/>0.5 deducted only coz of how they've reduced the quantity of what they serve while simultaneously increasing the price. But the memory of everything I have had from there refuses to let me take away any more points! A definite must-visit, at least once.

We ordered 'trump head' and 'jaw breaker' - both coming under bigger and messier burgers. I would recommend you to order this only when your hunger is on peak. It's obviously bigger and messier! I also found that the packing charges were high and the bill was more than expected since I unlocked Zomato gold here.

They dont give gold option to everything on the menu. Its only for burgers that they provide gold for most of the days. Where as in every other restaurant, gold is applicable for all food items on the menu

I loved the Burger more though, the patty was juicy and the flavours were amazing. Easily one of the best burger place in town. Prices are slightly on the higher side but the portions are huge. Service can be improved a little more. Surely going to return to try out other items on the menu.

The place is packed on weekends which speaks for the kind of food they serve! By far THE BEST burger joint in Kochi. My wife and I have been going here since they started out at their first store and keep visiting the palarivattom joint now.<br/><br/>My personal favorite is the derelicts burger. It is big, messy and is loaded with meat. It's run and managed by the owner and his wife who make you feel super comfortable.<br/><br/>The burgers are big, tasty and messy so don't complain about how messy it is.
