Review Cafe Royale - Atrium - Kochi (Cochin)

Had a great evening at Cafe Royale with my family. Tasted the Oriental food festival where you get a variety of Chinese dishes. Presentation of food is simply superb and you get to feel the best service in a cosy lived-in ambience. Thank You, ABAD :)

Open for buffet for a very reasonable rate of 440 including tax .. starts at 12.30 -3.30 lunch .. there was no much rush also .. food was very good .. proper covid precautions also taken by staff..

It's really a good Cafe. I enjoy visiting this cafe a lot. The downside is that almost always the place is busy. I don't think I have ever been here when it is having lesser number of customers. The ambience is okay and fits it's clientele. A bit loud due to the presence of larger number of patrons who visit this cafe. If you are looking for a place to sit and discuss something then this is not the right place. Good place if you are looking for a place to eat. Polite behaviour by the staff. They accept cash, debit and credit card and UPI payments. I have felt that the washroom is a bit small for the number of customers visiting this cafe. It is almost always full and one has to wait a bit. Would have definitely preferred to not to wait like that. They have their own parking space. The hotel is located adjacent to the busy MG Road. Valet parking is available. It's a good place. Would definitely recommend. For any pros, they have an amazing solution: their food. Love the options they have. I really appreciate the staff who plays a great role in giving the customers the best.

Courteous staff, cozy ambience, good food and reasonable rates. There was ample parking space available for both two and four wheelers. This restaurant is a part of Abad Hotel and they are maintaining the standard.

The restaurant is part of the Abad Hotel, Atrium Building. Been there for a dinner buffet with a friend. As Abad is a good hotel, the restaurant was classy too, cozy and quite. Well, staff were courteous and helpful. I found the number of options available quite limited, might be it was an odd late night I chose to visit. The good served were good and delicious. Had quite a few desert options, would be great if some.Indian varieties can be added instead if cakes and pudding. Overall a good experience.

Went for buffet lunch last Saturday. Even though the spread were less the quality is excellent. Also they prepared noodles on special request for the kids. They didn’t charge us for the noodles we ordered extra. Excellent service and superb food.

We tasted four of their best selling dishes, namely the Kerala style seafood grill platter, The Tandoori Khazana, The Surf and Turf and The Abad Special seafood platter. I loved the fact that each dish is paired with complimenting sides of bread, sauces, curries and dips.

Wonderful experiance.. service of restaurent team is commentable.. quality of food is very high (i am a pure veg. )... pleasing ambience...

Cafe Royale @ Abad Atrium, <br/><br/>Steaks n grills fest!. <br/><br/>Long post warning! And also words like perfectly cooked, nice char, Juicy inside, would be used in abundance.. Kindly bear.. 😂😂<br/><br/>Jumping right into the food part :<br/><br/> 1. Kerala mixed seafood grill - A platter brimmed with grilled seafood comprising of lobsters, baby octopus, calamari and jumbo prawns.. With a side of fries and a delicious butter sauce.. I have had octopus before, but it was always bland and rubbery in texture.. But this time there was a bit of a char on the octopus which gave it a unique flavor even though the texture was a bit chewy as expected .. The prawns and calamari were cooked perfectly too.. And the lobster combined with the butter sauce was just wow!. Fair warning, eat it while it's hot.. The calamari and the octopus would get more chewy as the time passes.. <br/> <br/> 2. Hunan grilled chicken leg - When this dish arrived at our table we couldn't stop ogling at it but we were also confused.. There were no drumsticks neatly arranged on the plate.. "But, we ordered chicken legs" we asked ouselves.. And they were gracious enough to walk us through the dish.. The chicken leg was de-boned and butterflied beautifully and grilled to perfection with hunan soy ginger paste and was placed on a bed of chilli garlic noodles.. We digged right in.. The chicken was Juicy on the inside and had a nice char on the outside.. It was grilled with the skin on, which gave it an extra level of fatty goodness!. 😍😍 and the noodles complimented the dish very well.. A must try dish!. 😍<br/> <br/> 3. Tandoori khazaana - No grill fest is complete without tandoori.. So we had to try this one out.. The platter looked like a festival of colors, comprising of chicken kebabs in different flavors.. Reshmi, malai, hariyali and the classic tandoori.. And it also had a couple of fish kebabs and couple of pieces of tandoori grilled calamari.. Served with roti and dal fry and a side of mint chutney.. The kebabs were done well and had distinguishable flavors to them.. Combine it with the roti and the dal and the chutney you have a perfect meal in itself.. <br/><br/>Even though we ordered large platters we took no time in devouring them.. And the service was prompt and courteous which added to the experience of fine dining.. <br/><br/>Oh yeah! One more thing.. We did not order dessert from the menu.. But on our way out we saw a dessert at their usual buffet counter called the 'Omali'.. We had never heard of it so we asked if we could give that a try, and they obliged.. The dish was a total surprise.. It was a simple sweet dish made with puff pastry and condensed milk with nuts for garnish.. It was just yum!. We all had a serving and wanted more.. A definite must try!. 😍<br/><br/>Heading back soon.. Lots more to try out!. Highly recommended to all the fellow foodies out there.. <br/> <br/>Happy fooding!. ☺️😍😍<br/>

The place is primarily meant for dining for in-house guests. They have a buffet breakfast and lunch. The dinner is ala carte service. The breakfast has a good spread. The lunch menu too has a wide range with items from kerala cuisine. At 450 it is a tad high priced unless their purpose is to limit the number of takers, also to live upto the star hotel standards. The dishes are regular, there is nothing extra ordinary there. The payasam tasted good. Mostly occupied by business clientele, from a purely eat out point there are better options around with tasty food and reasonable price.

Let me open the account for cafe royale!! 😃<br/><br/>Located a lil way from the mg road..towards ksrtc bus station on the right side you will spot the abad atrium and that is where cafe royale is!!<br/><br/>A fairly good place..neat ambience sober lights.! Twice ive had breakfast from here which was very good!!<br/><br/>So the next time i tried their biriyani for lunch..got the feeling that biriyani was reheated as the temperature was not uniform!! And it certainly didnt have that fresh appetising aroma either!! That caused an absolute disgust in us..that too fr lunch at 1pm an issue like this cant be tolerated!!
