Review Night Chef - Kochi (Cochin)

It's a great place with an excellent atmosphere. The food there is really delicious. I highly recommend the keto bomb. It's a must try. I took away one star only because of the chicken lollipop that I ordered. I was really disappointed with it. It didn't taste at all like a chicken lollipop but like a fried chicken and which is not that good. I request that it should be changed. I found the rest of the food items delicious, like friedrice, porota chicken roll, keto bomb, and other chinese items. Lime juice was also really good.

Nice ambience and good service. Good place to spend some time with friends and for midnight carvings. Also they have some special dishes like nool biriyani, ketto bomb.

My friend took me to this place at about 20:30. He told me that 3 friends a few years back started this restaurant and this place was a huge hit. Worth the hype, the place was fabulous. The most curious was how seats were made. Simple but very comfortable. I couldn't catch the name at first, while I was hurriedly finishing up my keto bomb. Another level of taste, and the most exciting part other than that was the quantity. Full stomach! Still I went on to eat some French fries. Those were okay. But, the keto bomb was superb.

Night Chef is an excellent cafe located near the Vytila overbridge. The cafe is open until late at night and serves delicious food and quick bites. The seating area is quite spacious and comfortable, with AC indoor and non-AC outdoor seating options available. The cafe has a large menu, including shawarmas, grills, wraps, and rolls. I particularly enjoyed their lemon juice, which is a must-try item here. The staff are friendly and efficient in their service, making sure you have a great experience. If you're looking for a place to spend your evening time with good food and ambience, this will be the right place for you. Loved their seating and light arrangements. Provides good service. I tried their Kappa beef and Keto bomb(beef). As you know most people here recommend trying this Keto Bomb. Well it's rich with cheese on top of Omelette and Beef and I haven't seen this dish around here.

Probably the best place I've tried this trip to Kerala. The place looks very much like a small European diner. Just being in that vibe makes you feel better and develop a good appetite. There are plenty of pictures already posted here and they all do justice to how amazing the place is but you gotta be there to get the full experience. The main seating area is divided into two. Indoors with air-conditioning and an outdoor area which gives you the road side eatery feel in its full effect. I also appreciated the transparent window into the kitchen where you can see the food being made. We ordered Keto Bomb (Beef) and Kizhi Porotta (Beef). I was happy with the taste and flavor of Keto Bomb and will recommend it to anyone who prefers flavor more than spice. Kizhi Porotta unfortunately was a bit disappointing but maybe that was just me. Mint Lime wasn't overly sweet and was just right. Chocolate Cheesecake was also very good as a dessert option I'm also pleasantly surprised by the cost of everything considering the quality of food and the great ambiance. Will happily visit again.

The ambience which the cafe is set in is really fantastic. Moreover the customer service of this place are really friendly and easy to mingle. Finally the food is of excellent quality. Every single thing they make is really authentic and fulfills your hearts desire. A must go place to go with your friends!

It was one of the nice experience. Food and the Ambience is good. The vehicle parts are used here as the dine in arrangements. These arrangements are the main attractions and are well maintained. One negative is about the parking. There is no good parking area for the restaurant and there is no wheelchair accessibility. Service is good but there is much more delay in food supply while compared to other restaurants.

The best place for your midnight hunger pangs!

I had a bitter experience 2 days before. I ordered for 10 number of Kerala porotta, the guy at the cash counter asked me whether I wanted curry, I said I needed only the porotta. He said he can't give the porotta alone, because he want to make some rolls, I don't understand why he can't give the porotta alone, if I bought a curry he would have taken the order. This is not the last resturent in VYTTILA . So friends think twice

Ordered two chicken porotta roll, also as add on had ordered mayonnaise paying 10/piece. But I haven't seen a trace of mayonnaise in that. Above all I had added a note to keep mayonnaise extra. Still no use. I really hate this .. but the taste was ok

The 'Night Chef' is a great place to spend an evening, savouring mouthwatering food while you watch the mad traffic at Vyttila junction. The kothu porotta is as good as the stuff you get in Chennai and the beef fry too, is sensational. The revamped restaurant now boasts a very comfortable, cool ambience as well.

This is one of my favorite place since it is opened and I'm in love with their keto bomb and porotta roll. It was the first home match of KBFC and on the way back as planned went to night chef. As I mentioned earlier they are famous for their porotta roll and keto bomb. Ordered a keto bomb with extra cheese as I love it cheeeeseeyyyyy along with there lime, their lime is so nice. Keto bomb is jus awesome. They also have a gud number or dishes in the menu but their porotta roll and ketto bomb are must try.They also have this yummy home made chesse cakes too.Place is in heart of vytilla in front of car accessories shop which will be turned to night chef after 8.

This is definitely one of my favourite places. It is hands down the best street food in Kochi and super affordable. It is located perfectly and has wonderful ambience. The dishes you must try are their porotta rolls (chicken/beef), kothu porotta (chicken/beef), Keto Bomb s (chicken/beef) and kalakki. They have other good dishes also but the before mentioned are their best. It is definitely a must go restaurant.

The food here is just amazing. They open only at night but it's totally worth the wait. They have the best kalakki in town. It's a must try. Their dosas and let bomb which is a roll without carbohydrates is also a must try.

Even though it falls on the main road, it doesn't really scream "notice me". The food hear is a budget friendly meal that doesn't compromise on taste. I'd recommend anything but the deserts. Portion size for the few desert/sweet items they have isn't that great. Everything else is good.

Night Chef as name indicates it is Night restaurant in Vytilla. A thattukada sort of set up. Wanted to dine in but due to limited number of seats so had to opt for takeaway. Ordered One beef kothu parota n Keto bomb ( ordered the same due to curiosity in the name). Kothu Parota was okay n Keto bomb as the name suggests is a bomb with heavy dose of cheese n filling n too much for a single person, taste was okay nothing spl. Next time need to try out other specialities here.

Heard a lot about the dish named keto bomb and had been waiting so long to try and finally did it....A wonderful dish well done , the beef was so soft and had no problem chewing it. Would go again and again to have the same dish.... Worth every penny 👌

Night Chef is quite different from other restaurants that are open into the night. Its close to Vytilla junction and the seating is outside a car accessories shop. Simple, nothing fancy plus good music in the background. :)<br/>I have visited this place a couple of times now. The dishes are super pocket-friendly. Most of the dishes are priced under Rs.100.<br/>We tried their Ketto-Bomb, Kuthu Porotta and Horlicks! :) Ketto-bomb is an over-sized omlette bombarded with cheese and meat on top. Yeap, it's pretty nice inside your mouth. Kuthu porotta is good to try as well. A cup of horlicks costs Rs. 20 and it is a little too sugary for anyone's taste. Their service is neat and on time.<br/>Worth visiting again when you are short on cash. ;)

This is an organized Thattukada with proper seatings, tables, spoons, forks and stuff. They open at 8PM and close at 1AM. Keto Bomb and Kalakki are the unique dishes you get to try here. Then you have the usual dosas, kothu parathas, Fried Rices, teas, juices etc. They also have home made caramel custards and cakes on some days. An interesting place for people who love to explore and try out new things.

It's a nice cool place , food well they have a signature dish "ketobomb". It is a must try seeing the quantity I thought it's so less but once you start to eat you will know the filling is actually really good. Kothu porota is also really good. Try to stick to the signature dishes as the others are not so great it's just average like butter chicken etc. All together it is an awesome place a must try and really good for family and couples too. Have a nice time

Royal thattu kadai.... All food was average.... But the rates were high... Very disappointing experience... I will not visit again... Beef gravy and kothu parrotta are very disappointing....

It was a good surprise for a late night snack and came to be a meal. It’s in the parking of a shop, when the shop is closed the restaurant starts. Nice tables and benches, some music playing, young people and some mosquitoes :) Staff was very friendly, made me a delicious chicken roll, less spicy then normal when they came to know I can’t handle spicy food. We also tried kothu paratha and kappa with beef and it was great. Strong chai and filtered coffee was great too. We will be back more times!

The keto bomb is a bomb in your mouth . A well seasoned omelette base topped with our nadan beef roast is a new taste to behold. Nothing much to expect except a costly version of തട്ടുകട (road stall). The food seems okay but the seating and ambience is very normal and is just another joint without a particular target audience to cater.

This was the final stop of our food hopping and our stomachs were literally full when we got here. My friend took us to this place cuz they only open at 8/8:30 and we wouldnt be able to try out the place easily on a normal day. The place is attached to an auto accessories store in Vytilla and has outside seating only. They are well known for their special recipe of egg with a topping of chicken and cheese which is called the keeto-bomb(i dont think the spelling is right). This dish is really a must try as trust me even though we were full after the hopping we made room somehow to finish the keeto-bomb cuz it was tgat tasty. The chicken was so juicy and blended very well with the egg and cheese. <br/>The staff are all chilled out and its a great place to dine in Vytilla.

Never thought I will get something to eat at late night but this spot saved me. Almost everything had finished when we reached. I really wanted to try their rolls but bad luck. Had to stick on with egg fried rice, Chilli chicken and beef fry. Couple of other friends ordered ghee roast which I give a thumbs up. Quite economic and reliable.

A frequent visiter here for their cheese kothuporotta. This is the best place to have kothuporotta in kochi. The beer fry is also good. The place is a modern street food joint, opened after 6. <br/>

Located near to Vytilla Junction, this restaurant opens during the night !! A hotel for all the hungry batmans out there :P. Have visited twice. Tried Schezwan fried rice & Paneer butter masala. The Paneer is so good !! The gravy is so thick and with all the right essence that it's just sublime. The flavours really gets to you. Paneer feels like it is home made as well. Have not had the chance to try more dishes. But will definitely visit and try out more if I can get the chance. Oh and the service is pretty good too. Overall recommend.

As the name sounds this spot is a place meant for all the late night foodies in Ernakulam. Its both innovative and interesting. The restaurant is being run in front of a car accessories shop in Vytilla. The owners have utilized the area in front of the shop, by setting up benches and a few lights, with the shutters of the shops painted with the sign and name of the restaurant. The crew of night chef is both friendly and very welcoming with really good food that includes traditional items like tapioca and beef and with modern street food like Chicken and cheese rolls. The place is economically priced and whole setup of the joint really leaves a mark on anybody who dines from there. Great job !!!

Very good initiative for those night cravings. We enjoyed the chicken roll than the beef one. The kappa with beef was dry and wasn't much to our likeness. Beef kothu porottas with cheese was saved for the next day. Must say, it tasted better which highlights that the ingredients used are fresh. No complaints though but yet to feel satisfied.

This lil place that springs to life in the middle of the night is a refreshing break. Night Chef, run by a vibrant host of dudes, is perhaps the best makeshift restaurant a.k.a. thattu kada in town. Loved the kalaki omlette and the rolls. It's fun how they make a kothu porotta too ! Whats best is that they stay open until 2 in the night. So any late night hunger pangs can be handled well by Night Chef. The food is upbeat and decently priced too. Worth checking it out.

This place came recommended from a few friends and hence the visit. The place has an open setting which might be a turn off in the hot weather but the place was well ventilated and comfortable. Tried their paratha chicken roll and fresh lime which were readily prepared and tasty and I should add great value for money too.

Been here twice. Tried the kothu porotta(topped with cheese), chicken roll, porotta, chicken curry and omelette. Everything was delicious and tasted like home food. The Kothu porotta quantity was a bit too much for me. So I parcelled it and it tasted even better the next day. The porottas they make are so soft and fluffy. The lime juice is refreshing.<br/>The best part is they are open till about 2 am and is perfect if you are looking for a pocket friendly place to satisfy your midnight hunger pangs😁

Good concept!<br/><br/>Tried the Brain dosa, Kothu porotta with cheese, Kappa beef and Thattu dosa and beef curry.The Brain Dosa was good, so was the thattu dosa and beef curry. The Kappa beef was a bit too spicy for my taste.I hear their porotta rolls are pretty good.<br/>This is the best place to try Thattukada cuisine in a clean environment,Rates are reasonable too.

This place is buzzing with people towards 8:30ish 9:00. Was fortunate enough to get a table. The staff are really cordial and happy to serve you what you need. The kothuporotta is something which should be ordered. Was wonderful and flavoursome . The chicken roll is big and filling. Everything that we ordered was delicious. The lime that we ordered was wonderful and felt homely. All of this put together we walked out of night chef with our stomach full and had a wonderful experience. Will definitely recommend it. <br/>The only thing is that there could be more variety stuff of the menu in future. Will surely recommend it. Should try.

Night chef is a cool hi-fi thattukada where you will get super tasty and hygienic food at pocket friendly rates. I love their kappa-beef mix. They are one among the few restaurants in Cochin which serves Non-Veg varieties of Dosas like chicken/beef dosa, brain dosa.. Etc.

One of the very few places opened after midnight that provides quality food. Place is next to vyttila junction. Tried the kothu parotta and rolls. The chicken roll was good, but the beef roll tasted like chilly beef. Kothu parotta was amazing and the filter coffee is good too. <br/>The only thing that's bad about this place is the waiting time. You have to wait a bit due to the less number of seats available. The rates are very affordable too.
